This is a great pub with super staff. Bit of something for everyone, party, sport and food it does it all. We had great food which was hot and quick before watching the footie. The staff are brilliant even bringing our drinks to the table for the game.

What can i say,Craig and his team are the best in Hereford.Yesterday despite Premier league football and International Rugby i was able to watch Torquay United v Derby, not many places would do this.On top of that Craig,Ewan and Katie provided great table service. Thanks ever so much.

I just popped in for a Sunday roast and really enjoyed it. I didn't expect to, but it was nicely cooked and the lady that was serving was friendly and very helpful. A good experience considering it was spur of the moment.

Lovely looking pub inside, spacious and clean. Cheap and cheerful menu. However the food was not great today. Very dry jacket potatoes with the tiniest amount of toping. The side salad was also limp and brown. So unfortunately we left most of it.

Went here for lunch. The food was really nice and the staff were really friendly. Ordered curly fries but was given normal fries but the staff fixed that immediately without any haste whatsoever. First visit and wont be the last, I was looking for somewhere to get something to eat and I wasnt disappointed the place was spotless with lovely staff and the food was freshly cooked such a shame I couldnt eat it all due to being put of in wetherspoons a few doors down! I'll definitely go back though and I'm not sure why this place isnt busier than wetherspoons which is dire for food and cleanliness yates is a stark contrast and much more nice a place to go!! Please try it you wont be disappointed

What can I say came here a few weeks ago and everything was great decided to visit tonight with four friends, unfortunately the food was terrible seemed like everything was over cooked and cold which is a shame because the staff are brilliant very helpful and couldn't apologise enough about the food.

Really positive visit to Yates. Greeted at the door and escorted to our table. Didnt wait to be seated for more than 2 minutes. Staff very attentive! Ordering through the 'My Pub' app was a doddle and food arrived pretty quickly. Only reason I haven't given full marks was because I felt the portions were quite small when it came to sides, like chips. Other than that, I would definitely recommend 🙂

Ample seating, great screens for sport. Food took a while to come, but it was a busy Saturday. Great menu choice for a vegetarian or someone who doesn’t fancy meat, or for someone who does. Lighting was slightly on the dark side, but it wasn’t bad. Staff were friendly and helpful. We set up a tab too, which made the afternoon easier.

Booked a table for lunch as some of my friend Stu's famiy were doing a pre Christmas visit. We hadn't been in for lunch since May when they last visited & there is a new menu now. We all enjoyed our meals & the table we reserved had plenty of room for Stu's sight dog. The staff were very polite, frendly & checked all was ok a couple of times withut being intrusive. Stu & I know Craig, the manager of this Yates, he was on a well deservwd day off, but his staff did us proud in his abscence so a big thank you!

Great, 4 of us stayed in Hereford for a night out, we popped in Yates hoping to watch the Wales v Scotland, and was lucky. Wales won, what more could you ask for. The staff were good, bringing drinks to our table. Very clean. Would recommend for a few drinks and a great game of rugby.

Bar staff really good, quiet but would now prefer to go here as opposed to Hogarths. Reason for this is we tried Hogarths initially and after being ignored by 2/3 members of staff who were cleaning the bar instead of serving drinks (What makes money........ cleaning or serving drinks?????) Decided to go next door and were served immediately.

If you're a sports fan then this is the place to watch it, almost every where you sit (or stand) you'll have a great view of one of the many screens, added to that there's an excellent choice of drinks and very tasty food all served by very friendly helpful hard working staff!! And must also mention there very reasonable prices!!

Recently visited a friend who moved to the town for a night out and as we ventured the town's hostelries we stopped by Yates's. Having grown up in the 90's and early 2000's Yates's was all the rage back then and was the place to go any town you went to and we were really surprised how packed and good it was. Great atmosphere, good music, the barmaid seemed to become my new friend as she was fun but running around like an energiser bunny. When you're having a good time like this time flies and our plan of visiting more bars went out the window. Went for a cig and was informed to go to the beer garden at the back and blimey, this place just kept going. Lovely large, heated beer garden to chill. When you have a bar with all this why would you journey back out into the cold and try find another place that ticks so many boxes. Next day when seeing the town (shops and sites, yes it didn't take us very long) we ventured back for some lunch and since it was Sunday, that means Sunday lunch time. Huge size half roast chicken portion (damn genetically modified birds), loads of veg and trimmings then dessert too which we had to accept as it was free with the lunch (yes, when the deal is there you have to take it! Its the law.). Overall can't fault it and would recommend visiting it to others when in the town and left wondering why can't all Yates's be as good as this.
