f. s.Just a bit slow on receiving my order while standing at the bar for a good few minutes, yes I was the only one standing at it. On the good-sized-burgar which was outstanding, why would you go elsewhere across the carpark for a imitation one.
M. D.We went on Boxing Day with family for the three course festive feast. From the moment of arrival, we were given a warm welcome and seated straight away. Our waitress Emily was very friendly and attentive. All courses were very tasty, well cooked and generous in portion. The service was very efficient and a good time was had by all. Thank you to all the staff ☺️

The pub and restaurant was packed.
Luckily my wife had booked a table.
We were expecting a long wait for food.
But it came very quickly and it was excellent.
The staff were run off there feet and never stopped excellent team effort well-done.
L.usually is absolutely fab! last night however my medium steak was very well done :( basically leather :( would've usually have complained and i’m sure they would’ve sorted it but was in a rush! lovely staff and atmosphere though! will be returning as long as my steak isn’t leather next time 🤣
E. G.Helpful. We had a seat, but the food was delayed.. So the booking on our table at 2.30pm would then clash when they arrived. They sorted it even though we would move to help. Super nice. Helpfull. Food good too. X yummy.
L. A.Food is always good for what you pay and it is very well priced, so you can't go wrong! Great choice of food, gluten free and children's menu available too. Drinks a little on the expensive side but expected. The only negative is that they very rarely have what you order in, or that's been the case for me! But no issue regardless. Kye was a great server for us tonight very helpful, polite and welcoming and was always busy!

D. R.Visited here on 26th March when we visited family in Hull. Lots of us went in for food and drinks and our kids played in the play area. Can’t thank Emily and Cally enough for the service provided. The food was great and the service so friendly and welcoming, Emily was great fun to deal with and made us so welcome despite it being our first visit. Food prepared by Cally was second to none and all of us loved our meals!

D. S.Not been out for something to eat for a long time . Well it was absolutely spot on the beef challenge I had was cooked spot on . I finished the lot but never got asked for my name for the hall of flame 🤔 . Will deffo be back to do another challenge
L. N.We tend to go to sail makers at least once a fortnight and for birthday meals. Always good service and consistent quality food. Prices are spot on for the portions too.
Update: went again today for a cheeky pub lunch while out that way, usual fantastic food and prices with attentive service to match. Always a consistent experience which is why we keep going back!
t.Very friendly staff and clean premises. Not a big selection of real ales on draught. Food fairly priced and arrived quickly and tasted quite nice. However said steak could not be cooked to how I wanted it (rare) because it was suposed to be a flat iron steak but when it arrived, the size and thickness of it it could have been cooked how I wanted it

The atmosphere is friendly and inviting.
We were a table of 9 and everyone’s food was hot and tasty!

The staff were very pleasant and helpful and our gammon meals were cooked to perfection on the flaming grill menu. A special thanks to our server Eryn and chef Oliver. It was our first pub meal out since the Covid lockdown and certainly will go again.

S.I went to the Sailmakers on Sunday 13th June and Friday 18th June to watch the England Euro 2020 matches with my friend Ryan. During the matches we both had food and drinks and the meals were really nice. The service from Sarah, Chloe, Jennie, Liam and Mark was brilliant during both visits to the Sailmakers.

S. R.OK place for a bite to eat. Wi fi signal rubbish so unable to download the app. Not enough bar staff. Had to que for a long time at the bar to order. Food OK but some of it you could tell had been in the microwave, like the rubbery mash potato. Priced fairly so no complaints. The toilets have a strange damp smell but appeared clean. Seemed to be very popular as the car park was nearly full. Visibility on leaving the car park could be improved if the hedges were cut back a little more.

Today we had a booking at this venue for 9 people, the place itself is fantastic but the food today wasn't up to its usual standard, only 5/9 mains was served and 4 people had to wait til most of us where finished eating to receive their meals. The rump steak (which myself and 1 other person had ordered) was not enjoyable, (which is uncommon for this venue) but we did forward this without sending the food back as it didn't effect our hunger because the sides are so damn good! (Someone has blessed their mac n cheese!)
The ladies working today need to be paid more because they where bombarded with a busy pub and still delt with every hiccup with a smile! They gave us a free pudding due to the few issues we faced over this visit and recommended some amazing gins, we do not blame the staff for any of the issues faced, not every day runs perfectly but their attitude towards the struggles was fantastic!
100% would recommend this place!

J. J.Had our Christmas lunch here today . Throughly enjoyed it. We have never eaten out on Christmas day before and weren't sure if it wouldn't feel 'christmassy' !! We are certainly booking for next year. Staff are lovely too, have had many a meal there over the last few months and havent had any complaints with staff friendliness. Price was good too and our 'lighter' eaters had kids meals which I checked was ok even though they were older kids. Will definitely be recommending to friends
D. S.My wife and I plus the mother in law (Outlaw) went into Hull on the pretext of collecting a parcel from a seller on Facebook. While we waited we decided to have a meal surprise surprise. By the time the meal was finished the seller failed to arrive so we went back home.

G. T.I visited the Sailmakers recently to meet up with some family. It was steak day and I had a steak with peppercorn sauce. It was cooked perfectly and was really well priced.
The children had the kids meals which were really well portioned and the wacky was lovely and clean.
Thanks to Sarah at the bar who was lovely, and chef Mark in the kitchen who cooked our steaks. I will be back soon !

Will definitely return if in the area. Menu had a good selection, staff were friendly. Car park with plenty of parking by the riverside for a stroll afterwards.
S. S.Food was great. Mostly clean but the toilets need a revamp. The cubical in the men's had no lock and the door had been kicked in. One wall in the ladies was running with water. Did not check the beer as it was lunch time and I had a diet Pepsi. Not really the place for a night out, but okay for a break from shopping. Staff seemed nice enough. It avoided my pet hate, as it did not have sticky tables, which you find at a lot of these type of pub/restaurants.

n. c.We stopped off here for food after our trip to the deep with the kids. I’m a little skeptical about trying new places to eat in areas I don’t really know. This place had some really mixed reviews, I can honestly say it was probably the best service We’ve had in a long time for a pub establishment. From meeting the host Ellen at the door who is a credit to the establishment, she was very welcoming when we walked in and explained in detail what food wasn’t available at the time. She made sure the table was clean and even swept the floor around the table without us even asking. She even thought about the space we needed as we had a pram for our little boy. Not to forget Liam who bought our food out to our table, he was extremely polite. The food came out in a reasonable time considering it was a bank holiday. The pub was nice and have a kid friendly play area that my little boy loved. Ellen and Liam definitely stood out for us, you can tell they care about the customers. These 2 are a credit to the landlord. Table 12

L.Came here for breakfast with santa and my little boy loved it! £5 for the breakfast, meet santa, games and a present! Well worth the money and to see how happy my son was! I had a breakfast which wad only £3.99, again amazing and so cheap! Would defo recommend and will book next year again.

S. C.The Bombay Burger I had was lovely and great value for 2-4-1. The chips however were stone cold. The worst part was that we were waiting at the bar for almost 25 minutes waiting to get served, people approached the bar after us and were getting served despite us asking the bartender if we can get served at this side of the bar. I also kept getting started at by the bartender whilst I was eating which was slightly uncomforting.

L. B.I went for a meal here with my family. The food and service is exceptional. We each had different dishes and everything was cooked to perfection. Service with a smile and the staff were all happy which is not something you see very often. The place was very clean and also busy but not too busy. Waiting times were good and we will definitely be back.

N. o.Didn't really expect much coming here but the burger I had, The Mighty Double, was amazing. Also the fries were delicious. The side of fried jalapeños were a nice extra. If you're not super hungry, try the wings with Frank's Hot Sauce. Great value for money.

R.Love this place, although it can be hit and miss sometimes as I think this place does a lot of staff training as all the regular staff other than Sarah and the owner don't seem to stay long. All in all however, it's a good family pub. Been going there now for 10yrs on and off. Definitely Recommended and it's my go to for a quick meal and my local(ish).

T. S.Was greeted in a friendly atmosphere and shown to a table of our choice. Found the staff very welcoming. Good choice of menu and didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. Nat the Manager came over to check everything was OK with our meal and our visit. Very customer focused and look forward to our next visit.

V. L. B.Visited Saturday 14th August for lunch and was very impressed. Quite busy but I ordered via the app. Drinks came quickly and a lovely guy called Liam came over to ask if we wanted a starter choice we ordered at same time as mains, which we did. Liam brought all.our food and desserts and was extremely polite, professional and friendly. I'm an Assistant Manager of a pub myself and I would be very proud to have a "Liam" in my team. Food was also very nice.

Ordered drinks through the app and they arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Our food arrived within 20 minutes of being served at the bar. And it was true to the advert- it sizzled! I got the hunters chicken meal, other food we had was ,surf turf and cluck, burnt ends burger special, loaded chicken strips, fish and chips.all were delicious. And we were (regretfully)too full for pudding . But I will certainly be back to try them!

D. B.I've been to this venue twice now and (despite the isolation rules enforced) it's always a friendly welcome and fast drinks service via the app. Plus you get to sit at the edge of the mighty Humber.
Of course I hope soon we won't need the app-based ordering and we can to some sort of normality but these guys are making these troublesome times as normal as they can! I will return...

In the summer I'd order food and eat it outside in the seating area with my dog.

They also have a kids corner with a play area to keep the kids busy while they wait for their food.
A good sized car park and I've never had a long wait for food.
Would always recommend to anyone looking for good, reasonably priced food!

L. M.Actually have changed my review of this place.
I had marked it as a 3 star and said food wasn't bad.
However on reflection the food was actually very nice, it was a little dry but very tasty.
The staff were incredible and under the circumstances of covid are working extremely hard.
We will come back to Sailmakers at some point in the near future.

The wraps we had were good and tasty, sadly not a good portion of chips which we paid extra for a

C.I've managed to order here once since lockdown, food is lovely. But i've tried ordering multipul times since and my order gets declined because it seems you can't get drivers, there's no point in being on a food delivery service if you're unable to have food delivered lol. I do hope this gets sorted though because the food is lovely :)
B. H.On my visit they had no ale on tap left, and the steak was fairly average for a pub steak. So I'll give that a miss in future. Had to remind them to bring out the sides. However staff were nice and the place had a nice atmosphere so I shall be returning.

Service was good though a little slow at the bar but, it did seem like a busy evening. All in all we had a great experience.

The food came out in a "camp fire tin" lined with tin foil which made it difficult to cut the steak plus the beans and char grilled chicken (totally black) didn't come with the meal and we had to ask for these. The pub wasn't particularly busy however several tables around us where given the wrong orders. The pub is very well presented and we will be giving it another go however 1st impressions last.

last night we stood at the bar for 20 minutes waiting to get served whilst the staff just walked past us talking to each other. No one else was waiting at the bar, only at the food part. The girl carried on serving people who just walked up to the food part even though we were stood waiting, then after we said is anyone serving she said oh I thought someone was, and carried on with the food orders !!.

C. W.Based in a refurbished and repurposed old docklands warehouse, this is a lovely building with great views over the river towards the docks in North Lincolnshire. We come here perhaps a couple of times a month and while it may not be the epitome of British cuisine, it is always pretty satisfying wholesome food at realistic prices served by friendly helpful staff. It's often pleasantly quiet, though have occasionally seen it busy at certain times.
I have no negative feedback for this place TBH. Don't think it belongs to a chain, though I could be wrong but if it is, I've no idea which chain. The menu is fairly predictable as is the nature of this type of establishment, but whatever we order is always cooked very well, presented very well and served quickly. Prices are very reasonable, the staff are always attentive and seemingly happy at their work, which I think is often lacking these days and I will no doubt be back again soon. Well done all who work there. :-)

Then they say you can go to the bar and order your food, which was good by the way but you need to wear your mask yet I walked from the front door to my table without one, just as I was told to do. If this is not confusing enough for you then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe there confused as well who knows really, maybe we should ask Boris Johnson he'll know surely#$% er on second thoughts maybe not, he's an idiot.

D. S.Both my husband and myself called on two consecutive Saturdays due to buying furniture at a nearby store, although we didn’t dine (food looked amazing btw!) we had a couple of drinks. Both visits we were greeted by a pleasant young man, asking how we both were and if our day was going well, he took our order and all the while whilst serving us he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, everything was “ please and thank you” my husband said as we took a seat what a great fella! I feel really welcome here, he’s created a great atmosphere! When we called back the second weekend sure enough this same fella was behind the bar and yet again made us feel extremely welcome, very chatty and polite! When we finished our drinks I walked upto the bar..... he asked if everything was alright? I replied everything is fine I just wanted to ask you your name? He paused before answering “Liam “ thank you Liam I said, I’m going to write a review on you as your hospitality is outstanding! He thanked me and said that means the world to him! I hope his manager reads this and gives him the compliment he deserves, he is a true asset to the company and I hope he gets rewarded.
