Quality starters, the king prawn thermadore is great.
The mix grill is awesome, as were the two large steaks that were ordered at our table.
The lasagne was defo homemade too…
To finish we had a few deserts to share and they were equally as good!
1st glass service even though we went on a busy bank holiday!
Can’t wait to get back and try the Sunday roasts..

The atmosphere is inviting, and light. The decor is clean, new but classic British pub. It’s light in there, not a dark dingy place, but light, friendly and inviting.

Not eaten here in a while due to covid etc. So glad we went back. The food was beautiful, all four meals at the table were well presented and all cooked perfectly. The front of house staff were very attentive with no complaints, lovely polite service. Will definitely be returning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

L. W.1st time we have visited this pub for a meal and what a pleasant surprise. All the staff were extremely friendly as soon as we walked in. Our waiter Tom was very polite and professional and answered all our questions with no problems. He asked us what we thought of the food and could even tell us what was in the sauce dish which accompanied the king prawns as we liked it so much. There was also another waiter who was on his first shift and he was doing a brilliant job clearing tables quickly and taking our drinks requests. The food was amazing, all home cooked and arrived in good time so wasn’t waiting ages. The steak pie was lovely and had so much meat in and the children's meals was great value. We will definitely be coming here regularly now for our meals out, was so nice to finally find a local pub with polite and professional staff. Well done 👍

S. R.Great place. One problem I wish pub's would take on board is. I have a 12yr old son,he outgrown the kiddy menu but a adult portion is too much food and also quite expensive the need something in between as he likes steak but a 8oz was to much food.

B. S.Just been for tea with girlfriend and 2 kids (5&4) both children enjoyed the fish goujons chips and peas. I had the sausages and replace the mash with veg. Girlfriend had chicken burger...both meals very nice and staff excellent and very helpful.
H. F.The fish and chicken meals were nice and plenty of both. The prawn sandwich and salad plus nachos was okay but the bread was slightly seeded brown bread which I would not have had if white bread had been available. It was expensive for what we got but nicely presented and hot.

H.This was the 1st time i have been in because it came highly recommended by my daughters partner & i must say it didn't disappoint everything is very well organised from arriving to leaving they take your details but we had given them when we booked there is sanitising stations around the place they staff where very pleasant and do everything for you to keep you safe there was quite a big menu to choose from & vegetarian options as well i was happy to try the signature stack burger that was recommended & must say the burger was very tasty & came with proper steak cut chips which i love my partner got the beef lasagne & there was loads it was also very tasty but couldn't eat it all cos it was very filling she finished it off with an ice cream sundae & there was a really big bowl full so she had to share. Definitely recommended & would certainly go back.

Service was welcoming and friendly.
The food is just another level , it was faultless , beautiful!

M. C.We went to the Cameron for a Sunday lunch, I was very happy to be able to make a reservation and that gluten free was available. The service and the atmosphere were top notch
The Sunday lunch, unfortunately was not very good. While they were fantastic with producing gluten free Yorkshire's and gravy, the Yorkshire's were burnt, we found the broccoli cheese was mush and the roast potatoes were soggy and rather unappatising, the beef served was not very nice due to being extremely chewy.
I do think that being mass produced and served off of a hot plate had a lot to do with this. We will not be going again for Sunday lunch, however, perusing the menu and seeing the gluten free options in there means we will make another visit.
Hopefully the meals from the menu will be more appetising!

B. P.The service was pleasant and very helpful but the positives end there. We used to visit this restaurant maybe 2 years ago quite regularly because the food was good quality so you did not mind paying the prices but now the quality of food has gone down hill dramatically but the prices remain the same. Me and my partner eat cheaper in hull in a proper restaurant then at Camerton. We will not be going back which is a shame as there is a good kids area there

Having said that, everyone else enjoyed their meals, they were great about us having a baby with us and we'll more than likely eat here again when in the area 👍

S. T.The pub itself is lovely. Inside and out are spotlessly clean. The decor is lovely too. First time going last Wednesday for a meal. Hubby had the steak and ale pie and to be fair , it was packed with steak . Tge chips that were served with it weren't too good though. Scrappy end pieces and lots of them . I had a steak burger and it was really dry , the chips again were scrappy ends. It was served really nice but on the whole it wasn't worth the prices they are charging. The staff were pleasant but no one told us of the specials board despite it being near enough empty when we arrived. I would go back to have a drink there but I wouldn't eat there again or reccomend it.

Lots of proper home made food here, really is a few levels above your normal pub grub.
Kids menu is reasonably priced and again quality home made food... Not the normal frozen rubbish you expect from the big chain pubs.
Table service makes the whole experience that little bit more special.
Not cheap, but I would rather pay the extra and know I am getting good food!

C. C.We drove by this wonderful Pub/Restaurant and decided to try it out. We had a warm welcome, excellent food and a great time. The quality of the food matched the price perfectly. It is just a shame we live 4 hours drive away so I wont be able to visit this great place to often. Has a great play area for the children also.

Food was fantastic and was really impressed at the choice on the children's menu... 3 courses for £4.95 and genuinely nice food, not the rubbish you get at so many. Never seen my Daughter eat 3 courses, carrot sticks, sausage and mash (what she asked for all the way there,!) and her fave, chocolate ice cream... All gone! Went to pay the bill to discover Kids Eat for £1 as it was before 7pm!!!!! I was blown away at £4.95. We stopped going to our previous favourite as they don't do a children's menu at all... The Camerton is our new place and will happily recommend to others and take our family and friends... An absolute find 😁

D. S.Went for a birthday meal here yesterday. Place was busy but not packed at half 6. Good choice of food on the menu, mostly the usual pub offerings but quality was better than average. Main disappointment was the chips and onion rings which were quite greasy and the brownie which was overcooked, but otherwise everything else was spot on. Usual selection of lagers etc but very happy to see Theakstons Best on hand pull and at £3 a pint is cheaper than places in Hull centre.

p. f.Very nice food and at half price made it even better. Please put the food on plates though. A piece of slate surrounded by wood is a bit impractical...my main was a gyros. Lots and lots of chicken but it was not piping hot but was tasty.. the puddings were not mine but they looked delicious.

You dont realise how expensive the drinks are until you get the bill then its too late. A great night spoiled by the feeling of being a little ripped off with the drink prices. Having said that we will go again because the atmosphere,food and staff where excellent. Will just have one drink next time.
