K. M.Probably one of the best bars in Hull but nothing special . Can't see me coming back to Hull again . It isn't in the same class has Liverpool,Manchester and Leeds . Nice and friendly people but it's a run down city and don't no why it got voted has a culture city . There's not much to see tbh

K.Very busy pub,usually full of daytime drinkers (eg older folk/men who spend on all day nursing the one pint!) Toilets are like a broom cupboard you couldn't swing a cat! On the positive side theres a brilliant atmosphere on a Saturday night,its always rammed and blasting out all the golden oldie hits of the 60s/70s etc

D. C.The Empress is the pub all the lads from work meet when having an afternoon or night out. It's part of the Hull ale trail and a good place to start. Beer is at a competitive price and honest in what and where it is, we like it. Hull ale trail is well worth the experience. Enjoy.

C. R.Nice pub with decent beers, good beer garden for the summer, can be very busy in the evenings at the weekend but great for an afternoon pint or glass of wine. Its been here a long time and Hull wouldn't be the same without The Empress love it.
