j. h.Excellent breakfast at West Bulls. The food was freshly cooked and hot, Paid a bit more for mushrooms, but in total £16 for 2 including drinks and all you can eat breakfast buffet is a great price considering you can spend as much at some fast food places and still be hungry soon after!. Definitely one for bigger appetites, but not great if dieting! Especially if like me you're tempted by fried bread!. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming will return soon!
A. S.Great service at West bulls. Had the carvery . All the food was delicious. The staff serving the food on the carvery were really friendly, fast and efficient. A lady called Annie was really helpful, getting us things we needed for our toddler, and taking dessert orders. Fab service!!👌
L. C.The food was good, a traditional carvery exactly what I wanted. My review is for the chefs though. Sean and Lee and all the other chefs on the carvery where nothing short of excellent! Melting in the heat with a queue around the corner and they still managed to smile and do a fantastic job. I will come back, and I will recommend West Bulls because of these chefs!

Y.Today was our first time here and they have excellent and friendly staff. Even though today that's mother's day the serving time was short just 10 minutes. And the carvery was good and tasty.

C. D.Visited here for the 1st time today. The eat in carvary was delicious and our grandson enjoyed his takeaway carvary as well! The staff were brilliant even when having to deal with difficult customers asking stupid questions. We will definitely be going back for more visits.

Yes I put comp and why not such a great meal tonight I’de love the chance for a free one especially if it’s as good as tonight meal was.
I have been coming for years and recently noticed some soso dinning experiences but today’s meal deserves note excellent meal I couldn’t pick fault accept my stomach wasn’t big enough to enjoy more this was honestly the best way I could have ended my diet utterly enjoy this meal will be visiting again next week

s. w.The staff we interacted with were all very polite. The letdown was the carvery, whilst the mash and gravy were amazing! The Yorkshire puddings were very overcooked and crispy, were even difficult to cut, the roast potatoes were a bit burnt but only in the outside. Probably wouldn't return to eat but maybe for a drink or two

S. R.Yo! A number of us went to eat at West Bull on Sunday. I suppose we could have booked to go on Saturday (the day before Sunday), but we decided to go on Sunday. If we had visited on the Saturday, I'm guessing that the food we ended up eating on the Sunday wouldn't have been prepared, let alone cooked! Imagine that!!!! So, I think it's great planning to go on a Sunday. Anyhow, I had the beef.

Could be a little more variety for the ice cream toppings for the kids and my cookie and ice cream was nice but would have been better if the cookie was soft as hard cookie is difficult to manage to eat with a spoon! Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

You can also order and pay via the app then food is delivered straight to your table...ideal for group bookings or if your on your own with young children. We will be visiting again soon

N.Went for a breakfast with a mate, definitely worth going. Eat all you can and the food is good quality. One thing that gets me tho is why charge 99p for mushrooms.

J. H.Went as a group of 7 for my mums birthday. We ordered on the app and the drinks came very quickly. The carvery was lovely - we were all stuffed afterwards! We were looked after by Annie who was lovely and very attentive. Two of our party were under 5 and she made sure they were very looked after, and was always around incase we needed anything. Will definitely be returning for a carvery soon.

M. W.Went for dinner with the wife & neighbour, service was great and food was better. All of us had the carvery which offered plenty of choice, and the portions were huge. Food was well cooked, and none of us could find a single thing to complain about with it. The only issue I found was that the table was sticky where the staff had sprayed it with sanitizer before we were seated. Would definitely recommend it for Sunday lunch. We will be back.

G. M.Had a carvery today. Really good and a good price. Staff were attentive and checked everything was ok twice. A couple of young children were playing hide and seek and were really enjoying themselves. Would it not be a good idea to have some sort of play area as West Bulls is advertised as family friendly but nothing for the children to do. Some customers were unhappy about them playing and scowling but most were fine. You can’t expect young children to sit still all the time.

R. H.Often frequent West bulls for a carvery but more so for the breakfast as of late. Love the place! Reasonably priced with great service from both waiting staff and the chefs. My only criticism is the bacon. Each and every time I go in, it's cremated and harder than the plate it's served on. It's the only thing that's taken a star away. Pink, soft and still oinking bacon all the way please 😋

N. S.I went for breakfast, and although you can eat what you want, there was no way I could more than a single plateful (apart from a little fried bread and a few baked beans). The unlimited coffee was good too, so I had to have a couple of slices of toast too! I'll do this again, but not for a while, as I want to look forward to this as a treat, and not put weight on.

A member of staff, Annie went above&beyond to serve us, nothing was too much. She replaced our sons' coke without question when he complained it was flat,took away our plates as soon as we had eaten,let us order our dessert from the table to avoid the hassle of queuing again, bought our desserts to us&then let us pay the bill from the table...avoiding queuing again! Annie took the time to speak to our children despite the fact she was busy&constantly had a smile on her face. Annie is an asset to west bulls&should be acknowledged as such.

Asked at the bar if we had any dietary requirements, we said we were vegetarian and they put our order in for veggie sausages while we were seated so we weren't waiting. Breakfast was nicely cooked and not overly done. We were able to make our own toast when we were ready for it. Coffee and tea were refillable.

The carvery meat was perfectly cooked and despite the minor logistics problem with the roasties the whole meal was a true delight with the Mrs and I scraping our plates clean.

My wife and I went this evening for our Valentines Carvery due to work commitments.
All I can say is that my traditional carvery was generously served with a smile and the vegetables were a worthy compliment to form a wonderful tea

M. O.This pub is famous locally for its wonderful carvery but also for its large menu selection and great variety of beverages, and yes even its very reasonable prices. This place has a large seating area and a lovely warm welcome, the staff are always there for you no matter what you need and i have never witnessed anyone making a complaint. The clientele here are just great down to earth people wanting a great place to spend some quality time with friends, colleagues and family without breaking the bank. As a bonus there is a huge parking area capable of accommodating everyone and room to spare, a lovely setting at the end of the road, we'll lit and offering rooms for venues too it is a great place to visit. I highly recommend it here and know you will enjoy yourselves no matter who you are.

Only problem we had was last Sunday when we got our meals the buzzer went to tell us to collect the kids meal and a fish from the pizza counter, the kids meal was there but they only just put the fish in cause they forgot. When we arrived we ordered at the bar and got our drinks, it seemed a little unorganised as we just wondered through and stood in the dining area waiting to seated, after a few minutes a we asked a staff member what we should do, she found us a dirty table and didn't return to clean it!
My wife wanted to walk out and she got a bit annoyed at this stage but I convinced her to stay.
We had the carvery and the food was great fresh vegetables and a good choice of food, deserts were also nice.
I think they was a little short staffed as it was busy but the only thing I would recommend is been more organised and seating the guests.

Like most pub food it is pre prepared filling meals. The new pizza oven gives nice variation to the menu and the pizza is made fresh. The carvery is decent enough, but it's one of those where you can expect to be served by a teenager in a chef hat. Good for family meals as they have large tables.
N. B.Thanks to the manager for the opportunity to try again. Annie was great and very helpful. Didnt go for carvery again but the food was lovely. Previous review was 1 star. Very disappointed as came highly recommended. Carvery items were mostly cold. 1 of our party didnt get their food until everybody else had finished, then it was bit wrong! When this was pointed out was asked to produce receipt to prove we had paid for cheese on the burger lol. Did the staff suspect we might have been international cheese thieves. My brother (whos birthday it was) was so hungry at this point he nearly gave in under the interrogation. Only 1 nice member of staff, a young woman who seemed to be doing everything from clearing tables to dealing with the many issues that customers had with cold/lack of food etc. Decided to go for a pudding as couldnt eat my cold carvery. That was ok. Fortunately the only decent member of staff, the young woman mentioned earlier, noticed that puddings were been brought to a table of dirty pots. Actually whilst writing this i think the table may not have been cleared as most of the plates were still quite full of the cold food that we didnt want to eat. Lots of similar places, with better food and nicer more efficient staff.

A. C.It was a friendly and warm restaurant. I was offered my seat and then my order was taken meaning I did not have to stand at the bar in a que. I was choosing the carvery and a waitress stepped in to prevent the queuing issue.
So once my drink had arrived and my ticket for carvery I went to get my food. The carver was polite and friendly giving generous amounts of meat to all. As in most carvery pubs, I helped to mash and veg. At this point I had been caught by the refresh so some of the spots where empty due to them replacing the food and others where full as just been done. I got what I wanted and helped y self to gravy. I then took my seat and began to eat my food, when a waitress came over to check everything was ok. When finished my plate was cleared from table within minutes and desert was offered. They gave time for my main to set before bombarding me with the desert I ordered and this made me feel at ease and I felt more relaxed and in no rush.
The facilities where ok, toilet cleanliness wasn't the best but where can you go for 5* toilets when a restaurant is so busy. The seating situation was great I was given an area where I was out of the way I me and my company didn't include children where alot of others had. This made me feel like I could relax and enjoy my time there. The car park was great there was plenty of spaces around the pub and the bays more than generous for space meaning I would not have to worry about the next car hitting mine.

J. H.Now I never put anything negative but on this occasion..... Brekkie & a pint on a Sunday morning was overall good. Here are the things to hopefully be reviewed by westbulls? It was busy (good to see)... And I know it's difficult to keep on top of the food amounts etc... But the hot buffet area would run out of food and the serving area remained empty for quite a few minutes so you ended up with either half of your brekkie.... Or waited and your food went warm only. The toaster was something to smile about. Was a 4 slice toaster ... The sort you have at home. It clearly took too long and could not cope with any more than one person waiting around. Could understand if there was 5 or 6 toasters! Or at least bring back the industrial multi slice turn & grill option. My final little moan was no take out option. I attempted to pay for a bfast take out for my daughter but was told this wasn't available. I asked if I could provide a take out tub and they put the 'considered' amount into it, but was told " no takeaway available". Found that slightly unusual as you can get takeaway Sunday roasts & pizzas & alsorts. But. It won't stop me using westbulls again. I'll just try and be mindful and get my timings right and suss out the toaster first! Overall, the food is good and the place was busy so not an easy task if footfall was unexpected. Good prices. Plenty of parking and a spacious pub

I came with my family in late October after visiting Hull for the day. The main course was lovely but unfortunately the deserts were far from ok. Rocky road ice cream without the rocky road components. This was sorted easily. However on getting home, I realised my pizza slices had been removed.After several emails and miscommunications, I have received a lovely gift voucher.
