S. F.The Mermaid by Marston Inns definitely gets 5 🌟 from us 👍🏼👏🏽 The food is amazing, the staff are all welcoming and helpful, the vibes and atmosphere is relaxed. The added bonus is that they have a nice little hotel attached with very comfortable and clean rooms, perfect for when you want to have a mini getaway with family or friends! We're definitely coming back again 👍🏼🤗
P. W.Tried a different place to stay for this visit to the office as a chance to my normal digs. Very impressed, comfortable bed, spacious room, friendly staff and a cracking breakfast to set me up for the day ahead. Didn't try the evening food due to my arrival, although had a pint and that was good. Free parking and WiFi which tje other place doesn't offer so this could be a winner, plus its close to tne office. Can save if you book direct at Marstons Inn via their site. Value for money achieved here, its in the list now for future bookings.

h. r.Just had a brilliant fry up..unlimited fresh filter coffee for less than a tenner. Staff helpful and friendly despite being rushed off their feet.. prices are good..food is good. Breakfast served from 8am at the weekends! Will definitely return here. Well done.💛
L.I stayed in room 210 for a night, bought as a birthday present so I could enjoy a proper little break doing whatever I wanted after a difficult time. I was so happy to have a bath for a change, and the view on the river was very nice. The room was clean as was the bathroom and the bed was so comfortable, I slept so well. The hotel was quiet and I couldn't hear other guests very much at all. I checked in with no problem, the lady was very nice and explained everything I needed to know. Checking out was easy. I didn't eat in the pub this time around but I have done on many occasions before and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I will happily stay here again, and am already looking forward to the next chance I get to do so, and hopefully I'll find the time soon to come back and eat in the pub again. Thanks for the great stay, it was just the rest I needed after a difficult time.
A. w.Honestly this is one of the friendly places to dine in Suffolk! Great and friendly staff! Kitchen manager who was doing the Carvery this evening was generally true gentleman! Made me and my girlfriend welcomed and notice he was making everyone happy and laughing when we got our food! Deserves a reward personally! Food was great just the rosemary and potatoes isn’t good mix personally but everything else was great! 10/10 will be back again very soon!
N. A.Nice meal for a good price to be fair. The Mrs had the carvery which she loved! I had the mixed grill which was lovely also. Child friendly for our 2 year old too. Would definitely recommend and we will return.
R. F.Overall a good lunchtime experience. Myself and a friend booked a table but there were no staff seating guests so we seated ourselves. The carvery was delicious, and the desserts. Not too pricey. The staff seemed very busy and fewer of them than perhaps needed. The telephone was also ringing constantly from a spam number. Staff were polite and welcoming, just needed another server perhaps.

Minus one star for not having high chairs at the table when previously requested. When I then asked for highchairs only one was brought over. I have twins. I did laugh and went and found another one for myself. Nice little indoor and outdoor play area although could do with a little update.

V. M.Good value. Being a first time visitor it would be good if it's explained you only get 3 slices of meat. When I asked for extra 1 , was told that wasn't in price . Ideally I would have had Beef, None available . The meal itself was tasty & plenty of it.
