Fantastic quality homemade food, great customer service, friendly staff and a great price. The pub also has a lovely beer garden and all dogs are welcome. We will be back for sure.

Lovely setting. Large table of 9 including children. The service wasn’t great. We all had seperate bills but on the same table. I gave up on ordering desert. There was no table service but when I went to the bar to order desert the regulars were made priority rather than taking my order. Left disappointed but the chief saved the day as the food was delicious and presentation

Revisit May 2022- Better but a little expensive I found. I didn't want a huge meal so had a few small plates to nibble on. It was all very pleasant but didn't stand out and it was still a little expensive. Will give it another star now at least so it's heading in the right direction. Not too impressed, won't go for food again. The pub itself is nice, staff nice, nice garden, but the food. Nearly £6 for burnt garlic bread which looked like Tesco's own. A bread roll for my burger which again looked like Tesco's own. Burnt onion rings and re fried chips. The burger itself was home made and meaty, but was dry. A shame but never mind.

A really lovely place to visit for good home cooked food, we are new to the village. My favourite alcoholic drink is Pernod and I noticed they do not have it in stock, I mentioned this to the land lady (sorry I can't remember your name ) and she was more than happy to get a bottle in for me, so can't wait to go back to get that bottle started !!

A good ol' fashioned pub with a good atmosphere and plenty of space. Massive beer garden out the back, which lends itself to the traditional British summer pass time of camping out with many a draught lager in hand. They're set up for kids with a cracking looking climbing frame out the back, which, as an adult, I've definitely not felt the urge to jump on... Pool table downstairs, decent beer selection, and a classic "pub grub" menu, even a cheeky juke box and a pub quiz now and again. Ticks all the boxes for a village locale.

Popped into the pub last night for a meal with friends, after showing them where we would be moving to. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. The 2 veggies in tow were more than happy with the options available. Lovely piping hot food mostly home cooked with fresh locally sourced seasonal veg. Excellent value for money. Looking forward to a Sunday lunch bash in the near future.

Wonderful! Under new management and it couldn't be further from the service of a year ago!!! The landlord is a really nice chap, upon arrival and asking menus we had a taster of batter puddings and gravy - and it was a delight! This pub has been turned around in a matter of weeks and we shall be going back again and again! Service is great, friendly and inviting food is lovely too!!!

We enjoy visiting this pub very much, either with friends or just with my boy. Staff members are always friendly, food is tasty and portions are generous with fair pricing. The garden area is huge and also a great place for those as well who are with little ones (like us), we love the new play ground bit and those outdoor toys too. It is also nice to just sit indoors enjoying the atmosphere created by those fairy lights all around, very calming. The conservatry makes the place even more special. In overall it is a great place to be for food and drink, dinners or parties. We will be back again soon.

It's a nice family pub located in a suburb of Ipswich, the food is good quality for a reasonable price, the beer is good and local brews are on tap regularly. Closes earlier mid week but also have bands and music or other things on most weekends making is a staple of the village

Outstanding little pub in the heart of the surrounding Ipswich country side with a garden that you can soak up the sun rays and enjoy a cold beer from the tap. Pros: large garden, lots of seating both in and out, free parking, friendly staff, great beer selection, serves food, country side setting Cons: Restrooms could use an update, apart from this nothing else to report Will be returning!

May 12 2019 ....came here for sunday roast 6 of us , some of us had pork some beef , green beans , broccoli , home made roast potatoes , the beef gravy was the best , we all had deserts , lovely chocolate fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding , we all said we would definitely go back as the service was great too
