E. M.A placid place, a great taste of homemade 😋 food. The menus options are an excellent value. The dining experience overall is very pleasant. I highly recommend.Deeeeliciousss , high quality plates, selection of wines, and great service.Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled good. G.This place was a really nice find, a stone's throw away from the Ipswich Regent theatre. Staff friendly and efficient. They serve food all day - what we had was delicious - the spicy chicken burger in particular! There is a small terrace out the back which we really liked. Will definitely go back if we find ourselves in this area again.
T. A.Good selection on tap, food excellent. Nice place to be when Ipswich play at home on a Saturday as it is just that bit quieter and more relaxed. Sky Sports etc too.
R. T.Very pleasant environment for food and drink. Useful proximity to the Regent theatre. Reasonable range of food with emphasis on burgers and fish and well cooked and presented. Good range of lager beers though real ale less evident . Prices standard for food though beers and drinks a bit pricey I thought. Pint of IPA and a medium Pinot were £10.90 which is steep for local pubs. Friendly staff. Would visit again.

We ordered the chicken sharer between me and my son and there was food left over. My husband had the bangers and mash and was very happy with it. All really tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definately come again.

M.Went in here a few days ago with my daughter and grandson. The gentleman behind the bar was absolutely wonderful! There was music playing in the background. He asked my grandson (who is just 3) what he liked. My grandson's reply was power rangers. The lovely man then went away for a few seconds,and on came power rangers theme tune. What a legend 😁 He made a little 3 year old extremely happy!

D. C.Nothing special. It is a old town centre pub which had a makeover recently which has turned it into a characterless place. They usually have 3 or 4 ales on but they are uninspiring. A plus point Is that they have a loyalty scheme for ale drinkers which gives a free pint after buying 5. They also have live music and the bands play on a raised area so the audience has a good view. I've not eaten there but the menu is the usual pub fare of burgers etc. If it wasn't for the music I wouldn't set foot in the place.
B. G.Great homemade food! So much on the plate and can tell its homemade! Staff are friendly and very attentive. Clean inside and out great for dogs in the courtyard even has a water bowl. Beer was a great clean pint and a good selection.

Just wanted a snack and chose prawn sandwich - asked for white bread- was cheap white sliced but presented well with salad garnish.A prawn omelette and chips/salad was also ordered which my friend thought was really good. Not expensive and staff friendly. Will go again.

Its now a lovey bright energetic and great place to go visit for a few beers or pre or post theatre scoops we went on mass to watch a band play at the pub and all had a fantastic time. Friendly staff and reasonable prices I must say I'm excited to try the food but didn't get the chance. Well worth hitting on a busy night

Always found it friendly over all the years and no change now. After all the changes to town pubs and closures, its a tribute to the Salutation to keep a traditional pub running with tradional and local values. Well done.

m.Quite shocked at some of these reviews! I was there this weekend, greeted by friendly staff and the food was lovely, nice home cooked, reasonably priced. Struggled to find anywhere to eat that wasn't fast food! so this was a pleasant surpise! Me and the Mrs will be back! 5*

(.Went to the pub last night before and after the theatre .The staff are friendly and the place as been done up nice.The beers ,ales etc are a good price however if your a wine drinker i would advise something else as it cost me £8:70 for 1 glass of rose.The staff actully apoligized for the price and hope to get it changed.this is the only reason it got 3 stars from me not 5.
