Regular rotating guest cask and craft ales (you can even suggest your own at the bar in a book) Own brew on offer too. German lagers, Belgian beer bottles. House smoked and marinated meats. Top notch place. Will return many times.

Throughly enjoyed our dinner here. Booked online easily & secured deposit of £5pp. Table was ready when we arrived 15 mins early (was a quiet Monday though) Our server Michael was friendly, and spoke to us about our food choices as was our first time. Food came out pretty quickly & was very tasty. I had the pulled pork BBQ burger and was very nice. My partner had the combo meat feast where you can pick either 2,3 or 4 mains and X amount of sides for each. He chose the pulled pork & Chorizo sausage. Decent price as well and big portion. Our meal came to £37 for two mains & 2 soft drinks. Michael spoke to us for a while about their events and room hire, we didn’t feel rushed at all and is a nice cosy relaxed environment. Ideal location, minutes walk from car park, only thing to consider if you have mobility issues the restaurant part is up 2 flights of stairs, not sure if they had a lift but didn’t see one. They have a gin bar in the basement & a bar lounge on ground level. Everything was clean and tidy, will return again and also to their quiz nights! Thank you!

Good food, great place. We've been here a few times when visiting Ipswich and it never fails to be good food and good value for money. A beer and some food is a great way to while away a couple of hours after (or during) shopping. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the place is nice and clean and the food is tasty and hot. Can't fault it really. Try some of the in-house brews - they were lovely...

We went here for a friends leaving do. I kept to cider but there are a lot of draft beers on tap., they claim 22 beers i think. As I was drinking it made sense to also grab some food. The TWM pulled pork burger (£10) was fantastic!!! I would give 5 stars just for that, but the matching fries and very quick service would make me give the pub 6 stars if possible. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu which made ordering very quick and easy. I will be coming here again.

Michael on bar was so helpful, guiding me on the gluten free choices, of which there is a great variety. The food is gorgeous, and the coleslaw is the best I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere, and decor too, we will definetly be back!

Different place to eat. Stands out with an interior for sure. Food was nice. Ginger ale was like lemonade, portions a bit small and we have been waiting around 30min for the eggs.. so it was a bit of the turn down. Specially as it was only very few people at that time. I would not pay that much for that little.

Staff are very friendly. They have a wide choice of soft and alcoholic drinks and even a gin bar downstairs. Upstairs is a restaurant but I've never been up there. They have a mixture of family board games like guess who and Jenga and they are a dog friendly bar. They have dog walking meet ups where dog owners and non dog owners can meet up then go for a walk round the park and back to the pub where everyone including your four legged friend can get a refreshment. They have jam nights on once a week. There is a small seating area outside the front of the pub which gets full sun during the day. Personally I like sitting outside in the evenings when it's cooler and watch the world go by. The staff are very knowledgeable about the drinks they serve and if you sign up to the app you can collect points to spend on food and drink. Definitely my favourite bar in Ipswich and they have a proper disabled toiled on the main floor as the toilets are downstairs.

The staff here were so welcoming! They were polite, made friendly conversation and were very knowledgeable about the menu for food and drinks. Really enjoyed my visit, wish I'd taken the staff members names to praise them personally. The food and drink were excellent, a little pricier than the rest of town but that's a given considering the varied menu they offer for food and drinks. Staff were following strict covid 19 regulations that they helpfully explain at the door and seating in the bar area is spacious and makes distancing very easy and comfortable. Again, I had a wonderful time and plan to visit again next weekend :) thank you!

So I booked three wise monkeys for my brothers suprise 30th. Original booked the bigger room at the venue but was told we could move to the smaller room ( the gin bar) which was more appropriate for the numbers I had attending. Which turned out to be such a nice room, nice seating and decor and enough space for the numbers, it was away from the rest of the pub with its own bar so perfect for a suprise party! I was able to get into the room from about 6pm to set up balloons which was perfect and we had the room till 1am ( close) but last orders where 00:30 I think! I spoke to lynsey throughout the entire booking via email and she was fantastic, really quick to reply and really helpful. 1 tiny issue was they couldn’t find the leads to plug my phone in so wasn’t our choice of music a lot of the night but was sorted later and they provided some food for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture and really tasty!!!!

Cool, quirky gin bar downstairs. We had a unicorn gin and it was presented really nicely. £10 a go as the mixers are extra, but nice for a treat. I couldn't afford to drink too many here. Loved the decor though and was nice to have tried it. Ps. The gin menu is huge, so be brave and pick something you haven't tried before.

Food was nice but its a shame it wasn't very hot considering we had just waited 45 minutes for it, we were told it was because of the quiz upstairs but we were the only table downstairs and there was only 3 of us. The mains were reasonably priced but the starters and sides a bit pricey for the portion size. The chips are really nice but the philly cheese steak was chewy and you could tell that it had been sitting out for a bit as the cheese was melted but gone cold.

Waited over an hour for our food and and even then, the wrong food had been served. Once corrected, the food was nice but couldn't be justified by the waiting time. Booked a table for 7:30pm on a Friday, food arrived just before 9pm by which time, other guests were coming in to order drinks at the bar and was very loud by this point. If you plan on coming here for food, avoid the later service.

I needed somewhere to cater for 24 people that could also deliver just outside town. Amber went above and beyond to help me – as it was a real struggle finding somewhere – and I honestly couldn't be more grateful. She went out and bought extra items to ensure we could feed two celiacs in the group, communicated fantastically throughout, and delivered it herself bang on time (and was a good laugh to boot). Oh, and everybody commented on how good the food was (burgers, chips and wings). Fantastic service. Couldn't recommend more highly. Thank you Amber!

Really nice experience, despite very difficult circumstances due to covid, all staff are very attentive all wearing appropriate PPE and sanitizer stations are avalible. All aspects of the food during our visit (myself and my partner) were cooked to perfection and at perfect temperature too. I ordered cod and the TWM smoked combo and my partner the MOJO chicken. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, lots of flavour with very tender meat. Sides were different and really complimented the food. Excellent experience for us and a long time since we have been out! Staff were very attentive and all smiling behind the face mask (can tell by the eyes haha) great service delivered and couldn't have been more helpful. The place has a relaxed feel, nice and quiet upon our visit, with everyone having a good chat with one another. Hope this is helpful, I would highly recommend this place from my experience.

It's ok at lunch time, not great. It's an amazing bar with a great range of drinks and fantastic staff. They clearly take their beers and ales seriously. If you're going to order food then only do it at prime time evening or weekend. The meat platter I had was pretty bad. It was a great amount of food for £15 but it was brisket, sausage and pulled pork which should all taste rich and succulent and exotic. Actually it tasted bland and boiled which is why you should go during prime time to have a chance at getting fresh food that hasn't been reheated to death. I'm still loyal and I'd still go back.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, it really has everything you need for a great night under one roof. Only problem would be the fact that it's spread over 3 floors, so not ideal if you have mobility issues.

Went on a Tuesday evening so would like to check it out on a busier day. And see what the vibe's like. Felt a little flat as if this place hasn't found it's feet yet. Went to the sister pub in Colchester the night before and felt a lot more alive, also was quite busy. Cool building, nice decor. Decent range of drinks on offer. Food is more limited than it's sister in Colchester and if I'm honest wasn't as great but only eaten there once so far. Staff were super friendly and happy to help.

With a wide range of drinks, wines and spirits, choice is vast and wide. An excellent place to visit to wind down after a busy day and to enjoy a perfectly chilled beverage of your choosing. Although visited during off-peak hours, service was quick and staff were helpful and courteous. The style of the bar is contemporary with lots of room to accompany large groups. It follows the same format to it's Colchester branch, which offers a downstairs/basement gin bar, alongside an additional bar/restaurant on the first floor. Prices are on par with other restaurants, but offer a vast range of choice which is simply unrivaled. Overall, a fantastic little place to visit and thoroughly recommended.

As a regular Ipswich visitor from Sweden I must say Three Wise Monkeys is a nice addition to the list of pubs/restaurants in town. The decor has an industrial feeling to it. Staff calm and friendly. Food (mac´n´cheese with pulled pork) was delicious (a bit too big for me personally, and maybe a vegetable or two would look nice on the plate, otherwise very tasty). Will come back on our next visit.
