I was very close to saying "it's ok, you can welcome us, do not hesitate to approach us, we are humans, born and bred in this planet ... and we come in peace". The welcomer didn't manage to force herself to smile, not a very good start indeed. Food arrived exactly 40 minutes from the point of ordering, too slow in my view, quick glance and other customers were also getting a bit restless and twiddling their thumbs. The gammon skillet was glorious, and the cheese and bacon was delicious. Nice pub inside and out, decor was nice, apart from Samantha and one other, other members of the team need to loosen up a bit and enjoy what they are doing. If you are happy or miserable, we can see it in your face and bodily gestures. Motorway was congested and alternative route brought us here which gave us a little respite from the long journey southbound. CCTV in parking area.

Had a meal today at ;inch time with friends at the Angel Inn. Pub was busy with many dinners which is always a good sign which was confirmed by the quality of the food. Large portions of excellent quality, well prepared and pipping hot, all at a bargain price. We had both a main course and sweet all served in a timely manner. The staff were very helpful even to the extent I made an error in the oder of one sweet which was promptly changed without question. Pleasant atmosphere with large car park, highly recommended.

Took my mum here for Bottomless Brunch for Mother's Day with my sister. Lauren was very attentive and made sure we always had a drink. The food was really nice too, even though only 1 option for vegans I still enjoyed it. Would definitely go there again.

I stopped nearby for fuel and decided to have something to eat The floor was clean all the empty tables were clean or being cleaned as I walked in . I was served by a young man named josh who went into detail about what offers were available and what daily specials they had, nothing was too much trouble for him . When he brought the food to the tables he ensured everything was to our satisfaction Overall it seems a lovely resteraunt . Very clean and the staff work extremely hard , I will most definitely be returning in the future thank you to the angel inn team for my wonderful experience

Excellent pub,very comfortable surroundings and lovely decor along with multi screens TV with top quality sports. Plenty of parking spaces,the food was very nice and came on lovely skillets,we was waiting awhile as it was fairly busy but all was worthwhile in the end. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by such lonely pub on a busy road with plenty eating various foods. A nice change from any carverys within reaching distance and really enjoyed my visit along with my family and grandchildren and yes will be going again soon,plenty of choices to be enjoyed with numerous specials and great prices.

The staff were really friendly and the service was quick - we were both really impressed with it. The food wasn't bad but was nothing to write home about, probably would have rated it 3 stars based on the food alone but the service deserved a higher rating (service probably deserves 5 stars hence average review of 4 stars). We got the sharer platter starter (chicken strips were good, wings were alright and everything else firmly average), the all American chicken burger and the bacon cheeseburger. No particular complaints about the food but nothing stood out as being particularly good either.

I went for a meal today with my family and i just have to say how amazing the staff were! They were all so friendly and helpful. Each one of them were so kind to the children and made special efforts to make it seem as normal as possible for them, despite them wearing the visors. We all felt so safe and the environment was very clean. I was so impressed to see them even cleaning the sanitizer stations regularly. The app worked great and was so easy to use! Well done everyone to adapting so quickly and professionally during this uneasy time.

The food here is lovely and has a very varied menu. The pricing is great for both food and drinks. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Does get busy on a Saturday so may be wise booking a table in advance. There is a large car park and the facilities are always clean. Worth driving to.

Reliable Flaming Grill pub. Food served as described and looked appealing. The only problem with our visit was the lack of lids for tea pots. Whilst the staff member was very apologetic in this regard the tea did cool very quickly. Good car parking facility and friendly service.

Amazing service, came in for some food and the restaurant was busy, I was informed of a Wait on food and the food came out earlier than I was told which was a massive bonus. The pub has had an amazing refurbishment and the big screen projector is the biggest I’ve seen to watch a Leeds game on! Amazing staff and management team. Hats off to Laura and the team for the amazing work they have done so far. I’ll defo be recommending the angel to all my family and friends.

Wonderful food & the staff are absolutely fantastic. The steaks here are to die for. The lady who is the duty manager is exceptional & caters for your every whim. If you like huge meaty platters then this is the place for you. I cannot recommend this eatery highly enough. This is not Michelin Star quality, this is plain old large portion, local hospitality, large meat platters of loveliness😘

Just got back from the Angel Inn. Service was good and the food was lovely. We shared a starter then had our main course, I was going to have a pudding but because there was plenty I couldn't eat another thing. Will go there again, I would recommend people to go and try it. My husband had steak which was done how he likes it, and I had a double burger which was tasty juicy and thick.

On the good side the bar staff were quite friendly but that's all.

Every time we have been it is great food although the on fault is that when it is football season or a match on it is very loud in the eating area . You would expect it to be toned down with loud music blasting in the eating area . Very off putting as couldn't hear one another talking and we brought a young child mid week for a meal and baby was very distressed with loud music. Angel Inn, now a Green King, I had lunch there recently. Good menu and something for everyone. I ordered 10oz Rib Eye (medium rare). It automatically comes on a sizzling hotplate. I forgot to say I wanted it on an ordinary plate. Reason - the steak keeps cooking and as soon as it was put in front of me it was medium. I don't like those sizzling irons anyway because food falls off easily. Angel Inn were very good, they took it away and gave me a new meal on a plate. Steak was juicy and delicious and if you haven't tried rib eye then you're missing out - for me it's flavour is far tastier than the sirloin. Must remember next time - plate plate plate. 😀😀😀😀

Used to love this pub but now they use skillets for serving steaks on and unfortunately they make the restaurant area very smokie which can ruin the overall dining experience. Also the meals have increased in price but they appear to have issues with the chef's there since it's a bit of a roulette as to if you get a good meal
