Always been a fan of this place, helpful and knowledgrable staff. Great beers. A tad expensive but you get what you pay for. No music, large groups or fancy dress, which provides a haven on the busy Otley Run student trail. Dog friendly, great atmosphere

Went into Arcadia as a group of 7 Persons and were looked after very well ( Table Service only) it had a very knowledgeable and affable Young man serving us. The range of drinks was good , with something for everyone. Nice atmosphere, shame it closes at 11pm in these modern times.

Great place for a drink. Lots of options of draft beer and spirits. Staff really know their stuff about the different drink options. They don't allow fancy dress which avoids the bar ending up rowdy with large groups. The decor inside is interesting lots to look at.

Really helpful bar staff and lovely atmosphere. Would 10/10 suggest getting one of the gins, they're really good (I had botanical with a raspberry & lemon garnish and my date went for something beginning with an "s" with a rosemary and lime garnish). This is not to say that the other drinks they offer are not good, the reality is quite the contrary.

One of my favourite places to go when working in Leeds. The staff are all incredibly friendly and have a great knowledge of the beers meaning you'll always get something you like. Great selection of draft beers and a fridge stocked full of a variety of different cans/bottles.

The beer connoisseurs choice. Just on the outskirts of the main drag of bars, this two floored beer haven is well frequented and a great place to sample a plethora of beers. The atmosphere is a bit more upscale, with table seating (though not service) and only a small area dedicated to standing room. Staff will happily advise on the beers available and lighting is eschewed for shadows. Still this is for people who are interested in their beers and not just out for a session.

At first view you think this is not going to be a fun place, as it states no big groups and not on the otley run. However, I was wrong. This bar is beautiful. Upstairs is cooler in summer. No fancy dress or big groups allowed which is pleasant as the Otley Run crowd can put people off. Lively buzz, a good selection of beers. Social distancing respected by staff who encourage hand sanitising and wear own face coverings.

Long term fan of Arcadia from when I lived in Leeds. Was really my only reason to go to Headingley from back then. Visited friends, and was the first pub I went in since Feb 2020. Still got great covid measures in place, which puts one at ease. Still great atmos, still great beer, still great staff.

Great place for a good pint - an oasis in Headingley (anyone trying to find a decent place to drink in LS6 will understand) and the foods not bad either. Update as per April 2022 - still a great place to drink. Civilised table service has remained post covid.

Lovely Leeds pub in Headingley. The staff I have spoken to have all been so friendly. There is a great choice of ale and beer. And a great vibe in side. There's lots of seating both downstairs and upstairs. I would recommend giving this place a visit if you are in the area.

Arcadia is a little gem. Great selection of beers and lovely staff. Arcadia doesn't allow big groups or otley runs which is great if you want to enjoy a quiet drink. It's dog friendly and in fact it's my dogs favourite pub (I think it's because of all the treats he gets and the other dogs) this is the kind of pub where you stop off for a quick drink and find yourself still there 4 pints later, definitely worth a visit.

Great selection of beers! Dispite being on the main otley run strip, it stands firm in not being a part of it meaning this place can be a little haven amongst the chaos. No music here but definately worth heading in for a swift one. Also their snack selection is of note

Shuts a bit early. Beer's OK but pricey cos it's all fancy pants. Atmosphere feels like you should be able to talk at the table, but it was nightclub loud so just sat in silence at a pub table, looking at each other. Meh.

Never judge a book by the cover; or a pub; the exterior , as part of the uninspiring Arndale centre makes it look as though it will be a plastic type establishment but inside there is a lovely atmosphere, a feat selection of ales which is renewed at frequent intercals and best of all it is dog-friendly! Pretty surprised to be turned away because we had a 9 week old baby in a push chair asleep on Christmas Eve. I understand the NO UNDER 18 RULE but I’m not exactly going to buy my 9 week old a beer. Pretty embarrassing to be asked to leave, but we were recommend a bar that expect baby’s up the road. Unfortunately I dout i will back. Which is a shame as I have spent a lot of money time and laughs in this bar.

Pros: Excellent beer selection Decent venue and décor, despite this aspect declining since the last makeover (framed crushed beer cans anyone?) Good location No Otley run crowds, no extraneous rubbish Friendly and has a bit of character in comparison to the blander and more prosaic East of Arcadia Some board games Best pub in Headingley even with the addition of Head of Steam Cons: Value is either poor to just-okay. There is never anything on which screams good value, and there are never any offers on either. Occasionally chip-on-shoulder/blank service, but it depends who is serving Often overcrowded with dogs - after advertising they were dog friendly it seems to be a green light to turn it into a dog pound. One or two are fine but they should keep a lid on this. Worse atmosphere and much worse décor since the makeover which has adversely affected the character of the place Minimum spend on card Can be very warm during the summer even with the windows flung wide open

one cider available which is now the most expensive pint in North Leeds. Got rid of decent pint of Aspall and replaced it with a cider 20% dearer. Same blunder as Town Street Tavern. Avoid until they sort it out.
