A place full of fun! Fab staff and cool vibe. A good selection of drinks and foods. Acceptable price with so many options! It is quite spacious but easily crowded since everyone seems quite enjoy this place. A fantastic place to hang out with friends.

There are two food places and bar , in the middle between the two others restaurants. While your waiting for your food, you get to seat on the benches, you have to be nimble to get in and out of there. The music was on the load side and hard to kinder shout to speak to some across from you. There is about 8 to 10 rows of benches with each row having 4 maybe 5 benches. There is definitely plenty of space there

Quite possibly one of the coolest places in Leeds. Firstly, Vocation have the best beers ever. Plus a selection of food venues, including one of the best burger joints ever to have graced our city. The long benches give the whole experience a chilled & informal feel. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!

Was busy when we arrived (group of 4, Saturday evening) but opted to wait for a table. After about 10 minutes we were offered a table and they took out initial drinks order straight away. Service was good, food was quick and tasty. There's a good selection of food so there is something for everyone: burgers, loaded fries, pizza, shwarma, steak wraps, falafel and more. Massive selection of beers/cider from the Vocation bar too (50 different taps!) Visit was excellent, will definitely be going again!

Really great Vocation Brewery bar with 30 something craft beers on. Didn't try any falafel or burgers, but they looked really good. Nice atmosphere and plenty of bench seating.

Love it, love it, love it! My favourite Falafel Guys are here so I'm visiting place when I'm in the City Centre. But in general it's a very well organised alternative for Trinity Kitchen with lots of vegetarian and vegan options for food and a bar in the back which I must say didn't visit yet. It's always busy though so if you're planning to come here with a bunch of friends you better book a table first 😉 You're good if you're on your own as a number of long tables means you can always find a spot for yourself.

Seriously cool in a non pretentious and effortless sort of way. Absolutely awesome craft beer tap list with 50 beers pouring at any one time including a 'core' of Vocation & Co (the bar is operated by them). Look out for tap takeovers from some serious beer heavyweights, Wylam and Omnipollo (with soft serve) for example. Colour coded beer menu makes life easier (red = IPA, Purple = Imperial Stout etc.) The food choice and quality is awesome, all street food in style but each one different and a lot have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options. Excellent staff, it's like chatting to your mates rather than ordering at a bar or restaurant. The seating is long tables and benches, so expect to be sharing and talking to strangers. It's 100% child friendly so don't be put off if you're with the family, it's also dog friendly so bring them too.

Very very awesome. It's opposite Millenium Square at the bottom, over the road, and in a basement. You'll see it easily because it is heaving busy most lunch and dinner times. This visit I had a tikka dhosa that you can see in the photos and it was heaven. A beautifully thin and crispy dhosa filled with juicy chicken and raita. Worth every penny of the £9. A big selection here so you'll find something to eat. Highly recommend it.

Get yourself to Assembly! A few different food places to work through - Slap & Pickles should be your first try - and loads of beer, mainly from Vocation who are the masterminds behind this place. Great place for big groups and casual catch ups

Highly recommended, but go early as when the vendors finish their food then they close up for the day, we missed out on a few options because we got there a little later.

Went to falafel guys here. They do vegan, veggie and meat options. It was the best falafel wrap I've ever had. Not bad for 5 quid. The fried cauliflower salad bowl was also amazing. Not tried the other food places here, most seem to do veggie options. There is also a bar.

Knocked a star off what I would have rated this before as a) the new screens showing the beer list are soulless compared to the old boards, and b) the variety of beer is nowhere near what it used to be, with only about half the taps in use. Appreciate this won't be an isolated problem for Vocation and Co at the moment, but takes a little of the shine off a great place to drink beer.

Only 2 of the 4 food stalls open on my visit (12pm on a Wednesday). Could do with some signs letting customers know what to do with their trays when they're done. Didn't appear to be anyone to clear or wipe down tables... Found that a little worrying. They have some weirdly big sized toilets in the men's. These large toilets have normal sized toilet seats on. Makes them hard to lift up. Didn't sit on one but I can't imagine they're comfortable - would make me feel a bit sick if my leg was touching the bowl 😰 Otherwise, seemed pretty cush. It's just like an old-school food hall. 4 different food stalls to order from, a separate bar for drinks and central, shared seating. Reckon it's good for groups, especially when all 4 stalls are open.

This place had such a cool vibe to it, and the food stalls were clearly run by people who loved their food and what they did. We ate at Jah Jyot and had such a delicious meal; we were served by Ranie Sirah who was so friendly and passionate about his food which tasted absolutely amazing! First time eating at The Pizza Authority located in Assembly Underground and it didn't disappoint! The staff are great, I picked up my food and a really nice lady with brown hair (Unfortunately i didn't catch her name) was very welcoming, polite and even gave me free chips and mozzarella sticks, just for waiting a few mins extra because they were so busy in the kitchen. All of the food was a good size and very tasty, really good value overall! Definitely would recommend.

Great idea. There's the vocation bar for a selection of craft beers and a cocktail bar with a great menu. Loads of little food vendors as well with something for everyone. Personal favourite was the dim sum and ramen place but we had chilli cheese fries from the burger place too that were amazing! Thoroughly recommend this place. They allow dogs as well which I absolutely love!

One visit does not do this place justice as there is too much to try in one sitting. Which is great a reason to keep coming back.

Absolutely fantastic place. Owned by Vocation brewery and has around 50 different beers on draft. There's multiple food options too with about 6 or 7 different concessions within the venue. The Falafel Guy's are well worth a visit. There's a great atmosphere with long benches for sharing. It's in a cellar with low ceilings so really creates a vibrant feel. Well worth a visit.

Variety of foods on offer from multiple vendors. Also excellent selection of beers etc from the bar, its usually best to grab a menu and choose options you want from there. The downside is that it gets very busy and when it's busy it's LOUD. If you can get in while it's not too packed it's an outstanding place to eat and drink. If you want to drop in on a Friday night just be ready for the crowds.

Me and my friend came here last night and unfortunately had a negative experience with the ale I had. Sadly I spent the rest of the night ill because of too much sediment in my drink so I'll give 3 stats for the amazing customer service but have to mark points down for the poisoning. I will return but with much more caution as to if my beer is fined or not. Very sad to leave a "bad review" I only do so in the hope that staff pay a little more attention to the beer they serve. Worth a visit for numerous reasons, first a huge selection of beer, either on cask or draft. Second what would you like to eat while drinking or alternatively what would you like to eat forget the drink, there are a number of eateries dotted around the premises serving some very good food depending on what you like. Seating is on communal bench/tables. Thoroughly recommended..

Service was friendly and was accommodating of my needs (vegetarian), food was absolutely delicious and cooked wonderfully (Slap&Pickle), the drink I got was delicious (strawberry cider) and the atmosphere in Assembly Underground is brilliant with great options for literally anyone! Bear in mind that the stores in there are smaller in size so service time would be effected when it's busy, but definitely worth the wait regardless of where you choose! Highly recommended for groups of any size!

This place is a great place to go if you are wanting a large selection of beer choices. There is 50 drinks on tap and a whole lot more available in cans. There is a great selection of street food available with 5 different places to choose from. If beer is not your thing there is also a separate bar that serves a wide array of gins.

I would rate this higher but I don't really like Vocation beers and it is slightly pricey even when you are used to paying a lot for craft beers. You won't get more beers on tap in Leeds and they have a really great selection of food stalls. I really hope this place is successful as it is a great concept. With a few slight changes it could be one of my favourite places in Leeds.

I’ve been here a couple of times with friends. It’s a really nice place, with different food outlets under one roof, with a bar and big tables, almost communal. It’s a great place to come with friends, you can all have something different. The food is really good and the place has a great atmosphere. Kinda like a school dining hall, but with no kids :)

The beer is excellent, the coffee is excellent and the falafel and cassava fries are excellent. Slap and Pickle, however, are only excellent when they choose to be. And when you complain because they've produced a piss-poor excuse for a burger, they do absolutely sod all, then pretend to refund you. Nice guys.

Great place when it started out but now referred to by a lot of my friends as "the bouncy castle" due to the high numbers of children & babies there. Which is fine ... if you want to go drinking and/or eating surrounded by kids. My wife & I went there on Saturday and we practically got forced off our table by parents with babes in arms, and toddlers running around. Personally, if I want to be surrounded by kids I'll go and find a local Harvester. So a great place if you're a young parent with kids but not so great if you want an adult environment. Your pays your money, you takes your choice.

A really cool place to take your friends. Over 50 different beers available. There's a quirky bar also for cocktails and gin. If you enjoy street food then this is also very good to go to! Plenty of options including, Italian, Indian American burgers and more. I would highly recommend visiting Assembly Underground. It's situated quite close to the town centre also and next to all the nice bard in Mellenium Square.

Excellent, but you need to get there early on a weekday lunch time. The tables fill up by around 12.30 and the waits for food increase as the place gets busier. One solution is to try another of the 50+ beers, lagers and cider on offer.

I really enjoyed my visit here. There was a log of good options to choose from, including the veggie and vegan options, but my friends had a wide selection of good meaty meals. The draught selection was fantastic and I got a sours on draught, which not many people on the city do. The food hall feel was nice, facilities very clean. I will definitely be going back. My only reservation is that it's a little pricey for portion sizes.

Fantastic addition to the Leeds food and drink scene. Incredible choice of beers and a lot of great food vendors too. It's the same concept as Altrincham Market and Mackie Mayors in bringing together lots of different Craft and artisan producers, except I'd say they've got the price point spot on here

50 taps on offer including guest beer. Great to get a bite to eat in, albeit a little pricey; pizza, falafel or loaded fries to name a few. Also have a "speakeasy" bar for the cocktail/non beer drinkers. Downside would be the noise, due to its location and size it attracts crowds of inner city drinkers who try to compete with the music.

Visited here fairly recently, the bar itself is okay but does feel a little small and closed in, it wasnt overly busy when we went in but can see this as potentially being a venue that when busy people will be prtty much on top of each other. The bar had a massive range of beers and I cant overstate this, cant remember the name of the beer I was drinking whilst there but they served a great pint. Will no doubt re-visit again at some point and would definately reccomend a visit.

I am not normally one to “impulse review”, however, this evening I popped in here with a group of work colleagues on spec for a pre Christmas beverage. Zero disappointment. The establishment is a melange of things that work together. Pizza and booze. Who knew this was was a mix worth commoditising?! On a serious note, there are about 50 different cask beers to choose from as well as a fully complemented pizza menu. I am not sure whether this is de jure but we were given two free pizzas. And they were absolutely frickingly delicious. Please visit here.

Standard OSB-heavy fit-out though the place seemed clean & tidy. Decent amount of bench seating with five or six food consessions doing all the standard stuff. Lots of families in with toddlers around lunchtime eating which gave it a nice atmosphere. Don't know what the guy below is talking about with the toilets, they were fine. Clearly not been in many places with the"Industrial" look! Stick to 'Spoons, mate.
