We had a very pleasant steak meal here, it was quite busy with a good atmosphere. Loses a star as much of the menu was unavailable, though it was 2 January. This is very much a restaurant, not a pub as such. Staff were friendly, helpful and made the visit very pleasant. Suitable for young family. Recommended to order meals via the Greene King app. Sunday evening we did not need to book. Prices were standard, not expensive, but not cheap either. Toilet facilities were clean. Loads of free parking.

Myself and 4 other family members had a table booked at the Bridgewater on Friday 7/01/2021. When we arrived Brandon showed us our booth and was very friendly. I ordered the Big Mexican, my niece shared the chicken n mix challenge with my brother. The staff were very accommodating and Lauren brought her an extra plate. The standard chick n mix and a cheese and bacon burger were also ordered. the food was spot on. The last few times I've been its been 'alright', but everyone commented how great it was. My meal totoslly hit the spot.. I was stuffed but very happy! The chefs Lewis, Ellie, Cailum, Alicia and Courtney did themselves proud! Thanks for providing us lovely meals and maming it a great evening! I thanked Brandon for everything and he kindly provided me the names of the staff so I could thank them in this review.

This place is just okay,not the place it use to be which was really good. Food has good up in price which I don't mind that but the chicken was dry ,some of the peas were like bullets. Waited over an hour for food . Better pubs out there at better value for money and service .

Tasty food, generous portion sizes. Place could do with something more glamorous for desert serving ( was served with big spoon and a simple soup bowl) and decor could be refreshed a bit. Other then that, staff and kitchen seemed to be functioning extremely well and great return for the value.

I visited this Pub with my work colleague and two individuals we Support. Before we reached to the door the Manager James came to open the door and hold it until, we were all in. he made it easy for us to enter the building as, I was pushing a wheelchair. He was very pleasant, greated all of us. The service was very fast, The food was cooked by Chef Scott and it was absolutely amazing. I will be visiting this place again. Thank you James

This pub is great! I go all the time, something for everyone. The adults can drink while the children play on the park what more can you want? Lauren served our table she was very helpful and attractive :p

Came here with a party of 9 as we wanted a Sunday dinner and although the food was great some people waited far too long for their meal despite even ordering before others and when my loaded turkey roast finally came I tucked in and didn't realise that I was missing my veg and stuffing until my mum pointed it out, she complained and I eventually got them halfway through my meal. Then some people ordered a desert which were sundaes that took about half an hour to come out which we then had to complain about again. Great food but the wait wasn't ideal and affected the experience for us.

Chicken wings come as what I would describe as fried, in some kind of batter. Not was was expecting so got a refund. Then the app messed up on payment for deserts which were all lovely kids n r lass loves them. In relation to the app mix up and wings issue staff members Beth and Ellie went above and beyond to sort out. Brandon our original sever also deserves a memtion

My friend and I had delicious meals today. I ordered at the bar and said I had a severe pepper allergy and Zac and Ellie ordered the meal for me without incident! I had gammon and my friend the pie. Thanks to the chefs, Vicky and Stevie , who cooked out meals so well and piping hot! Also to Brandon and Ellie, the servers, particularly Brandon who delivered our meal with such a flourish! Went for impromptu dinner as we had our dog with us, the food was actually good and priced very reasonably. I did ask for water from the barmaid whilst ordering food for our dog which was promised but never turned up, other than that it is well worth a visit.

Ordered Hunters chicken and asked for the chips to be put on a hot skillet like the chicken but was told the chef said he can't do that...despite the fact that the restaurant has been doing so for years...so what's changed ? We prefer the chips on a skillet otherwise they go cold far too quickly.

Meals have gone down hill and the portions are smaller, I thought I'd treat me and the kids for tea tonight, got them kids meals they ate them, I got stake asked for medium, it came rare but I was starving so ate what I could, it had a massive line of fat through it that was gristle so I didn't enjoy it, about 10 chips and a few peas I was still hungry after I ate! They forgot the tomatoes again I asked two times for it to be told when I finished my meal that they had no tomatoes?? Well why not replace it with something else? My jd sauce was freezing cold! Won't be going there again until they sort there chef out!

This place is like stepping back in time for me. Imagine it's summer and you're a kid, it's going on 10pm and way past your bedtime, you've been given a panda pop and shoved into a playground next to the pub with a bunch of other sugar fuelled children, all the adults are sat at the tables next to the playground with t shirts and shorts on and sporting red raw sunburn from one too many in the garden and still rocking sunglasses even though it's night, they're keeping a 'watchful eye' as they shout/swear/dance/sing with their mates, and you're there after some turkey dinosaurs and smiley faces going absolutely wild playing tig and getting into scrapes with the other kids. Glorious freedom. Nothing in the last 20 years has come close to re living this experience of mild working class alcoholism and borderline child abuse, that was until I visited the Bridgewater Arms. Honestly, bloody great memories, and it's nice to know these places still exist in Leeds. If it wasn't £5.40 for a peroni I'd probably go back and subject my own child to the similar experiences of my childhood. Also the staff were sound, service quick, food spot on, the place was clean and tidy enough. No complaints at all.

Lovely food and they have an extensive gluten free menu staff very apologetic had to wait over an hour for food brought 1 starter forgot rest then asked if we wanted main courses before. Rest of starters then made mistakes with some meals. Staff willing but need more staff to keep organised

Used to love coming here for family meals, haven't been for a while but came recently to celebrate a family birthday. They were late opening, despite us having a table booked for 12 they didn't open the doors until after 12 which at first we thought maybe they had closed due to covid. The food was plain and nothing fantastic. The service was good but we did order through the app so that does make things easier.

My son booked a table for 7pm we were celebrating my granddaughters birthday. Food was ordered approx 7:20. After 1hour 20 mins and observing that customers arriving 20 and 30 mins after we had ordered were being served with their food. To say I was annoyed is putting it mildly I spoke to the waiter who eventually brought our food 10 mins later but he and his colleague could only apologise. NOT their fault the fault lay within the kitchen We will not be in a hurry to book in the future. The food was ok but having to wait so long the appertite wasn’t 😒😒😒

I did the eating challenge wow am blotted but really nice food . only down side is it wasn't red hot . chips where warm at best and my butter didn't even melt on the corn so that wasn't hot . but I did it . struggled at end as food gone cold . but over all I would go again

We had to wait a long time for a member of staff to take our order, in the end we went looking for one. We finally placed our order for food and drinks. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. When the starter came out is was lovely and hot, however the nachos were inedible. Another half an hour our mains came out, 4 burgers and a chicken dish. Two of the chicken fillets were like rubber, the strips and chips were fine. The beef burgers were dry and the onion rings were soggy. We won't be rushing back.

Second time we've visited & again very pleased with the service & the food. My husband had the mixed grill & loved every mouthful. The meat was cooked to perfection which was medium. I had the chicken selection every thing was hot & tasty. We had to wait an hour for our food but we warned at the bar before placing our order as they were extremely busy. The staff were very intentive when they brought the food out very apologetic couldn't ask for better service. We'll be going again. Good portion size & very good value for money.

For a very casual pub, the food here is really good quality and excellent value. It's not a glamorous environment by any stretch, but it does what it sets out to really well. It's not somewhere I'd choose for an occasion or a 'meal out' , but when we were hungrier than hungry after a gym session it was just what we needed. Service was pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxed. The menu is brilliant and as well as an allergen friendly menu they have a separate vegan menu which was great to see. I'd imagine it's a great place to feed a family. We really enjoyed our food, and we'd likely go back!

It's a cheap and cheerful drinking hole; nothing fancy. I didn't eat but food seemed fine, my son had a snack and enjoyed it. Drinks are bulk standard pub offerings and reasonably priced. Staff are pleasant and cheerful. Fine and dandy for what it is; good for watching sport over a drink.

Went in here after being told we would have to wait an hour at another place. Glad we did. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional and we had a great evening. Our waitress, Roxy, was both knowledgeable and friendly. She made us feel very welcome and definitely had the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. A credit to the management. We will most certainly be back.

Nice mixed grill, I like my steak meedium to well done, if you're like me I'd recommend asking for it to be medium.

Today was my 4th visit this summer. Excellent food on all visits. Gammon sizzler is brilliant. Staff are great and it's the one pub that bends over backwards for wheelchair users and carers. Rather than complain on here about anything just let the staff know and they are more than happy to help and put it right. I really like this pub.

Visited here a couple of weeks back, very happy with everything. It was a Friday night hence it was fairly busy however service at the bar was very quick. All in all, four pints and two mains came to just short of thirty quid. Food was good and value for money excellent. Also worth pointing out the food service was very quick also, came in around 10 mins. Well worth a visit.

This place really annoys me, yes it's a budget place for families and there is nothing wrong with that, the food is also quite nice. It's the little things that are annoying there is always something missing from your order. It isn't difficult to flollow a receipt and tick the items off.

I've been plenty of times, each time I was asked if everything was alright and it was. I have read some poor reviews that don't mention this or what was done if there was a problem. Either way, I came back again today and had the mushroom pie (lovely crust) chips and peas. As Arnie said, I'll be back.

As a regular customer here we enjoy the food, waiting time is never longer that 20 mins. Best time to eat is around 4.30 tp 6pm before it gets to busy then a possible 40 min wait for food. Nice space with a little play area outside for the kids. Laid back atmosphere friendly staff

Great food and decent beer prices. It does tend to have lots of families so there will be kids running around but it is quite a big place so you'll be able to find a quiet corner. Sky Sports is always on too.

The Bridgewater Arms is such a good pub and restaurant.Interestingly,the ice cream sundaes are so delicious.Also,the place it's self is clean and tidy.Here,the food is absolutely brilliant. Thurthermore,the complex is fantastic. When you've been to vue cinema,you could go bowling,play in the arcades then you have somewhere to go for your tea/dinner.There is a park just outside too.
