Staff very warm and friendly on a seriously hot Sunday. Best burger I have eaten in 50 years. Succulent. Juicy. Chargrilled. Sunday lunch had the most gorgeous carved beef, turkey and pork. The gravy was lush including and extra gravy boat. Really great value for money.

We stayed at The Midland to break up a journey. Must say it was excellent value for money. The welcome was friendly and the host showed us to our double room. The rooms are set aside from the pub with their own private entrance. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable double bed. Tea making facilities as well as a Nespresso coffee machine were provided with large cups (very welcome). The windows had shutter blinds and could be opened if fresh air was wanted. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and soft bath and hand towels were provided together with toiletries. A good night's sleep was followed by a very tasty hearty breakfast. We also had a meal at the pub restaurant (which had a freindly family atmosphere) the evening before and this was excellent value and tasty. Finally, pets are allowed which we loved (not to everyone's liking we know). We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are passing through on our travels.

Well.. where do I start... my friend and I came for food.. i ordered crispy prawns as a starter and the "surf and turf" main course. I did try to order a cocktail as well but unfortunately they didnt have the ingredients to make it which was a shame. My order was taken and i paid in advance and went back out to wait for my food. The very lovely friendly server came out to me and said there are no prawns left.. fair enough i said do me a cheese board instead. He came back 5 mins later and said there's no lobster for your surf and turf. (It was meant to have been served with 2 lobster and prawn fishcakes) i said you have another fishcake on the menu ill have it with that instead. Comes back.. no fishcakes. At this point id have probably left and gone elsewhere but id already paid so I said well what do u actually have? He said scampi 🤣 so i said fine scampi it is. When the food comes out to me it did look great but i was slightly annoyed by my 4 tiny pieces of scampi that was meant to be a replacement for the lobster! So i basically was served the rump steak main with 4 pieces of scampi. Im not sure it was worth the extra i paid to be honest! I basically paid £20 for 2 items that were 10.99 on the set menu. I actually paid £9.01 for 4 pieces of scampi. I then had to ask again for my cheeseboard that theyd forgot to give me! It was all a bit of a shambles! They should have offered a refund. I've given 4 stars because the food i did get was tasty and more importantly the lovely lovely staff. The guy behind the bar and the lady with red hair were so nice. The staff really need to be told the items that are not available before they take payment though. Also.. why are SO many items not available. The menu needs changing because they clearly can't keep the items stocked. I wont be back despite the wonderful staff. The stock needs much better management or just change the menu!

It's not a 5-star hotel, so you'll notice some wear and tear. That being said, the beds are comfy, the place is clean, everything is functioning (including the Nespresso machine in the room!) and we woke up to a marvelous breakfast served by lovely staff.

Easy to find, ok parking spaces. Obviously being a Friday night it was very very busy (always a good sign in my eyes!) Staff were lovely kept reminding us they hadn’t forgotten us. We checked in and were shown to our room which was in a separate building away from the main pub. Very quiet. Had our own front door not a communal entrance. Room was lovely with a nice coffee machine inside, was a little put off as there was mold in the shower including the ceiling of the shower. Slept relatively well until people coming back to their rooms at 3am were a little loud but that’s not the hotels fault and again it was a Friday night. Check out was at 10am, we went to check out and have our breakfast which was included, unfortunately this is where it has lost a star, very disorganised staff, waited far far too long so ended up going up to order our food and drinks instead of waiting to have our order taken like we were told would happen. Cutlery was brought over twice so we’re sauces. Food took quite a while to come out and my coffee didn’t come out u til were at the point we were about to leave. (Good finished etc) Beautiful place and staff are lovely but just the organisation is a bit lacking.

A wonderful place to stay.The manager was friendly and accommodating,and staff were incredibly helpful too. The room we stayed in was lovely,and being dog friendly is a huge plus.The breakfast was great and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will stay here again

Comfortable pub in woodlesford- The bar maid went out of her way to try get us a taxi. No success though so best advice is book one in advance if you go here! We had to wait an hour and a half for one 🙁

Stayed here for a concert in Temple Newsam from liverpool and I’m so happy we booked here! The rooms are lovely and comfy with great easy access. The staff were lovely and polite on check in and the food looked Devine. We got our breakfast included in the price and we can not wait for it! 😋 can’t recommend enough!

Went there one day had 2 bacon sarnies and latte, was absolutely fine although £9.20 for it all all you would think youde get more bacon in your sarnie, also I asked for red on them, and neither of them had owt. Came again today as there is practically nothing else about for breakfast and it was the same however I got the extra joy of burnt bacon and a ton of fat. And the latte was half a cup of foam and the chef practically shoved my bag of stuff in my arms and sent me on my way, For the price of what you are charging, etc I would think they would take abit more extra care and attention to the meals they are serving and how they are serving. I dont think my mates sarnie even had an butter on it for Christ sake. Not a happy bunny to say the least will not be visiting again. Which is odd because before todays meal I was considering booking a room for a holiday. I won’t be now.

Normally plenty of seating space, nice atmosphere and a good selection of wines. Outside seating area, clean toilets. Food available, covered smoking area. Welcoming staff, plenty of tvs for sports, and plenty of quizzes to keep you occupied. Not the cheapest of places, but it is what it is at the moment.

I went to this pub a few weeks ago and had one of the best chicken burgers I think I’ve ever eaten. Went back at the weekend and ordered it again. This time the chicken was smaller, the cheese wasn’t melted, there was more sauce than anything else. The server was brilliant and instantly knew something was wrong, I explained the situation and she went back to the kitchen and I got a completely fresh new meal with less sauce and melted cheese as advertised. Still wasn’t the size it was previously but honestly the service was so wonderful, I didn’t care. I’ll be back because of this experience.

Rating as a hotel. Very happy staying here, been a few times for working in the area. I like the clean, casual, self-contained rooms, even though somewhat small. Convenient parking right next to the courtyard where the rooms are. Friendly staff, nice breakfast in the coffee shop. Handy choice of food (in the pub, also several restaurants and takeaways nearby). Pleasant walks in the vicinity.

Went here for Sunday lunch 02.02.2020. We were told roasts were all half price as an introduction, which was brilliant. The beef was very good, the veg was also good, but sadly the yorkshire puddings were stodgy, too much batter. The drinks were good, as were the attentive staff. Much improved from previous management.

Stayed at the accommodation at the rear of the place and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were great and well decorated. We had our puppy stay and he loves being there. The food at the pub was lovely and it was excellent to see how it transformed from a busy pub in the evening to a coffee shop look and feel in the morning with business meetings and friends meeting up all taking place.

Staff were very accommodating and helpful. The kitchens were having work done during our stay so breakfast was continental (which was fine) but nowhere decent to eat close by. Avoid both Chinese and Chippy across the road from the hotel at all costs. The room was really nice and clean and beds super comfortable. Would visit again but only when we can have evening meal too.

I would absolutely recommend the midland hotel, we've just been and stayed 2 nights, the rooms were top notch, very plush, comfortable and had everything you need. The full English breakfasts were more than enough and the latte were to die for. Lovely atmosphere in the pub and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and so friendly. Louise who dealt with us went more than the extra mile for me and my friends and cant thank her enough. Everyone was just amazing. We will definitely stay there again whenever we visit leeds now, wouldn't choose anywhere else. Keep up the great work guys!

Went here for the first time on Sunday for Breakfast. There were 6 of us 4 ordered breakfast 2 had nearly finished theirs before the others got their food. Service was slow and disorganised Was not even busy. My eggs benidicts were cold, the eggs were rock hard not runny. So dissappointing on the whole.

Great place to stay! Even better that for 54 pounds it included a breakfast. Each room has a door straight out to a courtyard which either leads to your car or the cafe area of The Midland Hotel bar area. The bar area has a classic pub feeling and the cafe a modern but also rustic air. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room had an electric kettle with tea and instant coffee sachets with sugar and cream pots. Also included biscuits. The ensuite was very nice, with electric shower, hot towel rail plenty of toiletries. All round excellent value for money. That and literally a 10 minute walk from the station which is a 10 minute train ride from Leeds. Smashing.

Breakfast wasn't great - it was all warmed up except for the eggs which were runny (some may like that not me) the hash brown and mushrooms had been warmed up 1 too many times I left them. All the right items for a full English no problem there but for the price of £8.99 (excluding drink} I feel it should have been freshly cooked or at least not quite so obviously warmed up. I am looking for a regular breakfast so will try again maybe tomorrow in the hope I just hit a bad day.

Friendly staff, good sized rooms which have hot showers and have been recently refurbished. The wifi in the rooms however doesn't work unless you connect in the bar first. Otherwise, lovely convenient place for Leeds. Oh and there's a little model train that runs around the ceiling of the whole bar area too!

Chips are pretty decent but the burgers are a letdown, especially at their price, and the other two meals I've had (steak and a pulled pork panini) were OK but not worth a second try. We usually come here about once every couple of months. Today we visited and the menu seemed to have changed. There was a new but interesting children's menu there and my daughter said the pizza was really good (and she is fussy). I would prefer a couple more of the simpler options like a toastie for kids (the one I had had mayo and mustard and she would have not enjoyed that at all) I had a cheese and ham toasted sandwich (a "croque" on the menu) from the lunch menu which was also lovely. The cake selection was good and varied.

They were preparing for a funeral when we went. So, most tables were reserved or taken. When we did get seated, I truly felt like an after thought. Didn't find the staff accommodating and they were unable to tweak the menu ever so slightly. The food and coffee was nice enough. If only they had got the order right or at least checked that everything was right but I think the funeral took priority on this day. The car park is also tricky to get parked in at lunch times.

Excellent stay. We came Christmas shopping for Leeds and the location was spot on, a short walk to the train station and Leeds was only 10 mins on the train. A fairly good pub in the heart of Woodlesford. A pretty good gin selection although city centre prices feel a little high for the area. Good for watching the football and has a cafe and beer garden attached to it.

Wir haben 2 Nächte übernachtet und es war als Zwischenstopp okay. Sehr kleines Zimmer, leider war das Bad nicht sauber und Schokolade unter dem Bett. Bei dem Türschloss fielen 2 Schrauben raus. Der Chef war leider sehr mürrisch und kennt kein Lächeln, allerdings hat die das weibliche Personal wett gemacht, sie waren sehr freundlich. Pluspunkt: Super Frühstück und sehr hundefreundlich. Leider gab es bei unserer späten Ankunft nichts mehr zu essen, aber Dominopizzaservice hatte offen. (Translated) We stayed 2 nights and it was ok as a stopover. Very small room, unfortunately the bathroom was not clean and chocolate under the bed. 2 screws fell out of the door lock. Unfortunately, the boss was very grumpy and didn't smile, but the female staff made up for it, they were very friendly. Pros: Great breakfast and very dog friendly. Unfortunately there was nothing left to eat when we arrived late, but Domino pizza service was open.

(Translated) Very good hotel, it changes hotel chains. It looks like an old post house. An effort to make on the household, but nothing prohibitive. The shower hose needs to be changed, but nothing too bad. All in all, very good service at a reasonable price. The room is beautiful and well equipped. The team is young and very friendly. I recommend this hotel because it is well placed, quiet and picturesque. Only real downside, the mattress with springs reacted like a trampoline, but that may please, my wife, she was seasick! The plus is the pub next door, ideal for spending a good evening and drinking a Guinness on tap, a real treat. It goes nicely with Fish and Cheaps! To eat, there is a fish and chips specialist opposite or a bakery that makes sandwiches. Otherwise, you have to move away a bit. For shopping, the coop store is right next door. Have a nice stay!😂 (Original) Très bon hôtel, cela change des chaînes hôtelières. Il ressemble à un ancien relais de poste. Un effort à faire sur le ménage, mais rien de rédhibitoire. Le tuyau de douche mérite d'être changé, mais rien de bien méchant. Dans l'ensemble, très bonne prestation à un prix raisonnable. La chambre est belle et bien équipée. L'équipe est jeune et très sympathique. Je recommande cet hôtel car il est bien placé, calme et pittoresque. Seul vrai bémol, le matelas avec ressorts réagi comme un trampoline, mais cela peut plaire, ma femme, elle, avait le mal de mer ! Le plus, c'est le pub à côté, idéal pour passer une bonne soirée et boire une Guinness à la pression, un vrai bonheur. Elle accompagne agréablement un Fish and cheaps ! Pour manger, il y a un spécialiste du Fish and chips en face ou une boulangerie qui fait des sandwichs. Sinon, il faut s'éloigner un peu. Pour faire les courses, le magasin coop est juste à côté. Bon séjour !😂
