Always a great time at the Myrtle. Scott and the team are so lovely and accommodating. The drinks and food are always reasonably priced and the pub (and gardens) are so beautiful! It's a great pub that we'll always return to.

Would have given it 5 stars but you have to download the app which took 15 minutes to download, put your details, payment details in, table number before you could place an order and another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive but it was especially busy when we got there as it was a bank holiday and the weather was glorious. Was a shame we couldn't have stayed for a second drink but we had to be back to have something to go for a meal. Would have been much easier and quicker going to the bar.

Menu ok...but booked for large table numbers..and run out of couple of main choices which someone wanted.
Pretty slow service
Outside area looked lovely..ideal place to still go..maybe not for food..no kids menu..
Dog friendly,♥️

Wonderful pub in the middle of a green area in north Meanwood. Enjoying a good pint is fantastic here. Will come back to taste some food soon.

The Myrtle is a great local pub that offers a wide selection of drinks, cooks fantastic food, has an amazing marquee/tent space and a massive non smoking beer garden. It's Christmas decorations are legendary, the whole place feels like it could be Santa's local throughout December.
The downsides are that Covid seems to have killed off the tradition of going to the bar to buy a pint and talk to the staff, you now have to use an app to order your drink which is then delivered to your table.
Also the weekly pub quiz seems to just be a three hour long music round. Short samples of Music are played at a volume akin to a jet engine all evening, resulting in any conversation you wanted to have on quiz night being with yourself, in your own head.
If you like great pub food and a nice quiet pint of ale or if you prefer several shots of Sambucca and some mild hearing damage, The Myrtle Tavern has something for all tastes.

Location is a little bit out the way but well worth the journey. Food was exceptional, potato bravas and pork belly are an absolute delight, must try!
Service equally as good as food!

The Myrtle is great in the winter as they turn it into a little Santa's grotto and great in the summer to sit outside and watch the cricket. Dogs are always welcome too. Only thing that would make it even better is if there were more local breweries on the taps
