Best Bloody Mary in Leeds. Super spicy & full of flavour. Many decent beers & ales. Friendly staff, stylish & always has a good atmosphere.

Friendly welcome, accommodating and a great beer selection. Just missing a menu for the Belgian beers in the fridge. If you’re into your beer then the North Bar is a ‘must visit’ when in Leeds as it’s widely acknowledged as being one of the first craft beer bars in the U.K. No bookings are being taken at the moment, so you’re taking your chances with walk-ins but choose your time wisely and you should be ok.

June 2019 We visited north bar for the third time in a year. The beers just keep getting better and more extensive. I enjoyed several De Molen beers and the obligatory photo booth. Can't wait to visit again.

North Bar was one of my first introductions to the Leeds beer scene. Since my first visit it has been a firm favourite. The staff are welcoming and enthusiastic and they always have a fantastic selection of beers.

Went here off the back of all the other north brewery bars in Yorkshire. I loved it. Same great atmosphere as all the others and the staff are so willing to help you choose a beer from the many on offer. Been here a few times after and it's been the same.every time. The tunes are great too. Have not had the food so couldn't comment. But the blackberry and raspberry gose is worth losing a vital organ for a pint of.

Myself and 5 other from across the UK (one person even came from Alaska) went to Superbowl night here. It was absolutely fantastic , they decked out the place with American paraphernalia and served a large selection of American ales and hotdogs as well. I have been going to this bar on and off for nearly 20 years. Always a strong selection of beers and cider. It has a relaxed arts vibe and had a well worn feel inside like a comfy old shoe. Toilets are due their 10 year makeover however.

The original one of the North bar's venues. Great selection of beers. Generally lively. Friendly staff. Occasionally some beers are a bit overpriced. It's always really noisy: the acoustics amplify the chatter and they play jangly music through tiny speakers which just adds to the din. Doesn't seem to bother the young crowd: maybe it's just me! Should be on your 'must do' list if you're visiting Leeds.

This was my go to bar before they opened the tap room at Sovereign square. I still have a lot of love for it but I think the tap list has suffered since the other bar was opened; there isn't the same choice as there used to be. It's one of the few bars I'd feel comfortable having a drink in when I'm by myself so it scores it a point just for that. There is no disabled access, there is a steep, dark and dank set of stairs to reach the toilets, which are best avoided if possible! Staff have always been friendly and you can bring your dog so another point awarded for that.

Whilst the likes of Brooklyn lager will cost you practically a fiver, which is a little more than I like to pay, they still offer a fantastic selection of drinks and the space itself is both large and inviting. The art on the walls is regularly renewed, offering the best in local artistry, and the staff are always full of cheer and chat. I can only hope that the newly opened Meanwood sister bar offers such delights as these! Want to escape the noise of the city? Check in for a coffee. You'll be warmly welcomed.

(One of) The only bar(s) in Leeds that I go to. It's social, It's fun, It's cool. It has great beers and spirits, and attracts people who don't mind talking to strangers. I was once a stranger to all my friends, once even to my wife. This place is a small but trendy bar that keeps the idiots at bay. Busy action at the weekend, but quieter in the week, and I can usually be found there after work, before heading home to Bradford on the train. Love It.

We were struggling to find a dog friendly bar but these guys were super welcoming! They have an overwhelming amount of beers on tap and all the staff are super friendly and chatty - Would highly recommend for a drink and a snack (especially if you have a dog)

North Bar is a hipster joint with a huge catalogue of mostly very strong beers. It's dark, has a long bar and plays good music rather quietly. The toilets have blackboards on the walls but the residents are usually too nice to write about each other's mums. A nice place for a quiet drink filled with arty types.

North bar is probably the most famous craft beer bar in Leeds. The range of beers is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable. However the prices are steep and the bar gets unbearably crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. The music can also be annoying as after 10 it gets turned up to a level so loud you can't hear people speak.

If you love trying different beers then you can't visit Leeds without popping into the North Bar. Their menu is exhaustive and bewildering in equal measure (one thought: I'd rather see beers sorted by type rather than country, a minor niggle admittedly). I had a coffee ice cream porter which doesn't taste as ridiculous as it sounds, it was delicious. You could spend a week in here going through their menu - what a week that would be! Lovers of Fosters and Kronenberg will no doubt come away confused and dissatisfied.

North Bar has a rep as one of the best bars in Leeds. Now, I loved this sweet, arty little spot, but but preferred the more buzzy Nation of Shopkeepers. It also doesn't do food which, when you're serving such an interesting selection of spirits and beers, might be a nice addition, if only to prevent people like me falling off their chair. A particularly nice touch was the 'gallery' of monster soft toys (I uploaded a picture) - a scary selection of Frankenstein, mummy, zombie & Dracula with an equally scary price tag (£160).
