It's a decent pub, & cheaper than many in Leeds city centre. It's part of a chain franchise, but it's still standing, which is good! Very friendly staff.

Nice bar. Outside area. Upstairs as well, wide choice of drinks reasonably priced for Leeds. Personaly i ptefered the old Pack Horse (30 odd years back) before it was modernized, it had hell of a lot of character.

Nice hidden away pub, good prices and friendly staff. However the whole experience is spoilt by awful loud music, needs something more appropriate to customer base at 5pm on a Saturday and doesn't need to be soooo loud people are trying to talk to each other.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere convivial surroundings and very reasonably priced drinks: Love it. Conversely, the only thing anathema to an otherwise brilliant experience was a rather annoying influx of freezing cold air inexorably blowing onto the tables occupying the upper tier upper tier.

Really nice pub inside. They do pieminister food so several veggie and vegan options. I really enjoyed the vegan 'Kevin' pie it was so good. Nice atmosphere inside - we went on a weekday afternoon.

Small queue to be seated and the member of staff was really welcoming and took time to find us a table. Area upstairs was comfortable and relaxed. Table service from staff was really quick and we were never waiting on drinks etc. and they were all friendly. Enjoyed the visit.

16:30 visit - A bit surprised. Haven't been for quite a while and it was much better than expected (i.e. better than i remember back in the day) Beer selection fairly limited, but was pretty good, or at least mine was good! We came for lunch. I had a deep vegan and crispy pie and my man had a Kevin. Totally gorgeous. Mine had vegan turkey and potato inside. Really tasty and the gravy was perfect. Full of flavour and the perfect consistency. We asked for more gravy and it was no issue at all. If you love pie mash and gravy you will love it here :) it's a nice clean pub with friendly patient staff.

A busy pub on a Saturday night, but the staff made sure it stayed clean of empty glasses. There are plenty of seats to cram into, and the upstairs has a lovely portion of tables that most people don't seem to frequent. There is a bar upstairs, but it will not always be open and when it is they only take cash payments.

The Packhorse pub is a truly fantastic little hidden gem. Currently the cellar is managed by a fantastic guy who understands what makes a good ale. The food available is from Pieminister and these pies are very good quality.

The Pack Horse is said to be the oldest pub in Leeds, it was built on the grounds of a previous pub, but some of the stone was used from that pub to build the Pack Horse. It's a very friendly place and all the ghosts are friendly as well
