Reviews of The Brownlee Arms
V. M.
Visited tonight for the first time. Wheelchair accessible entrance with a manual door. A server greeted us quickly and saw us to a table. We were served drinks within five minutes and asked if we’d like to order within another five. Our starters arrived quickly, and were delicious. Mains arrived within five to ten minutes of our plates been cleared and again, the food was rich, freshly prepared and tasted beautiful. Each server we encountered was friendly and happy to help. The lighting was perfect, not too bright or dim. Music was playing at a quiet level so it was still easy to talk and the temperature was comfortable (the waitress happily turned on a radiator when I said I may get cold). The disabled toilet was clearly signposted and easy to find. It was clean, with left hand transfer and the mirror at an accessible height. The red cord was hanging freely. There was plenty of space between tables, with hand sanitiser available on the bar. A really positive experience on all fronts and I’ll definitely be visiting again and recommending to everyone who’ll listen 😊
I’ll also be adding accessibility details to the Sociability app for future visitors.

We chose The Brownlee Arms because it was recommended as a welcoming place for doggoes but my goodness, it's a fantastic place for humans too! The menu was a refreshing change from the usual dishes served in most pubs and all our food was truly delicious and well cooked. Service was exemplary and a special shout out to Gabby who really looked after us. Great beer too. Just wish we lived closer so we could visit more often but if we are in the area again wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Lovely food, excellent friendly service and dog friendly! I live in East Yorkshire and my sons live in Cheshire so we have met up here on several occasions over the last few years as it is equal distance for us to travel. Never been disappointed with any aspect of this great place.

We visited here today for lunch after attending the Emmerdale Village Tour. The welcome, food and service was fantastic we was so pleased with our visit here. We live over 90 miles away so looked for something with good reviews and we can understand why. 100% recommend. Wish there was more pubs like this with the levels of excellent service and food quality

This is a really lovely pub, clean and tidy and a really good atmosphere. We sat in the conservatory area which had the roof pulled back and a patio heater right nxt to me. They also give you blankets to cover yourself if too cold. They also have seating out back and a few out front. A decent sized carpark. I didn't eat but the food looked and smelt fantastic, will be going back for a meal. The staff where really polite and friendly. The drinks where reasonable priced.

First time we have been and we thoroughly enjoyed our food.

Phoned to book a table and said we wanted to come for the lamb burgers. Got there, shown to our table, ordered a drink and given a menu. No lamb burgers although they are on the menu on the website. We were told they didn’t do them any more. Obviously website has not been updated but the fact that I said on phone that was what we wanted we were very disappointed. The food we had was good but not what we wanted and why we went.

Great food . . . I'm fussy. Had the flattened rump steak, Husband had the sirloin. Real chips and a lovely peppercorn sauce. Birra morretti on draft. Nice welcoming atmosphere and seating. Staff are lovely, attentive and helpful. I'd defo recommend a visit xx we will be returning xx
P. M.
Had the seafood platter. Not many places do seafood now so it was pleasant change.
The platter consisted of lobster, crab, giant on shell prawns and excellent (if small) Lindisfarne oysters, etc. Defo worth a try.

It was a last minute decision to go for a Sunday lunch...at 6.30pm...the staff were very accommodating and polite.
Had the two course menu and drinks.
£40.00 for two people...good value and good wholesome food ...Will call in again

But why on earth……………
My wife & I, along with 2 of our dear friends, visited The Brownlee Arms, Horsforth, Leeds, today, Monday the 11th of April (2022). The food was amazing. I had the pie of the day, (chicken) with chips & gravy. I have to say that my wife’s fish & chips with mushy peas looked awful, the fish was very small & looked burnt but she said that she really liked it, what do I know.
For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding, absolutely delicious infact it was the best that I have ever tasted. But, here is the thing. The dessert menu said sticky toffee pudding but no mention of it coming with custard. I asked the waitress, a very friendly girl, if custard was available & she said “ yes, of course “ but why on earth don’t they put on their menus? This might seem a small & insignificant point but it really grates on me. Anyway, the food was delicious, the waiter, I didn’t get his name was very friendly and polite, as was our waitress, Joanna. The whole experience was wonderful, well done to all at The Brownlee Arms.
P. B.
Great value 3 course Sunday lunch. Would definitely go again! Book to avoid disappointment. This place was busy but service was spot on and very friendly
M. P.
Amazing service tonight, so accommodating for little daughter who had fallen asleep on the way there, and made her a comfy bed with a blanket and cushion whilst we ate! Very attentive and friendly staff, thank you!
b. h.
Love it here. The food is so yummy and the service is always so friendly. The portions are absolutely massive!
L. G.
Excellent very dog friendly pub and attentive staff with large eating area. Did not have a meal but intend to do so next time
S. X.
Really good food. Friendly staff, good service - timely without being intrusive - and pleasant environment. I would happily eat here again. Had Skagen Toast, Beef Sunday Roast, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The starter was good, the main and dessert excellent.
S. M.
Lovely gastro pub.. excellent menu
We Sat in the conservatory, lovely as the sun was out.. dog friendly too
Highly recommended
c. v.
Great location just round the corner from us. Always have Timmy Ts on, food is very nice (they do Yorkshire pudding wraps), staff are nice, lots of seating inside and out and they are dog friendly
J. B.
Had a wonderful night was our 25th silver wedding anniversary and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Mentioned it when we arrived and they gave us some fizz and treat us like VIPs all night. Would defo come back thank u everyone xxxx
C. P.
Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. Was able to bring my little chihuahua. Shall definitely visit again :)
s. m.
Excellent food and excellent service. Definitely go again.
L. B.
Really nice atmosphere, nicely decorated pub. Friendly staff and amazing food!! I had the pie of the day, (steak, ale and mushroom) for those who appreciate goof chips, The chips at this pub are second to none. I can't wait to go back! Can also recommend the fish and chips too.
P. S.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Great for a family gathering
M. R.
Really enjoyed it. Friendly and quick service. A great selection of food. The cauliflower fritters were 😋.
A. K.
Love this pub, have been here so many times, mainly for food but often meet some mum friends here for a cuppa/lunch. The staff are lovely and very accommodating all round, but in particular with high chairs etc for the babies. Food is great and it just has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend
L. B.
Beautiful food, lovely staff and great prices.
The chips are the best I've ever had,you really must try them 😀
R. L.
Never been before, but our group was very well looked after. Excellent buffet. Beer selection quite limited, but my choice was spot on. Nice surroundings and very friendly atmosphere. 👌
P. S.
Disappointing. Whenever hospitality staff wear masks whilst interacting with customers my heart sinks. The Brownlee Arms wins the prize for most absurd use of a mask policy and whoever has decided this needs to seriously question their motives. Onto the food and drinks. My Sunday roast was of poor quality. The lamb was fatty, the Yorkshire pudding tepid, the veg unremarkable. Another guest complained her food wasn't particularly warm. The service was okay. Our bill was just short of £200. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.
R. W.
Dined in for the first time the food was beautiful hopefully back in the near future highly recommend to anyone not eaten here yet
K. S.
Went to the Brownlee for lunch with friends. The restaurant needs to pay attention to details - in their introduction above the menu, it states that they serve traditional meals, including FISH PIE and TOAD-in-the-HOLE. Scanning the menu, there's no fish pie nor toad-in-the-hole anywhere! I ordered a chicken burger without the bun. I expected a nice, tender, chicken breast, but that's not what I got. The chicken "breast" was 3 strips of overcooked, hard chicken, which I ate, but not with pleasure. No-one asked whether we were enjoying our meal. My friends thought theirs was okay. I chose the restaurant with the expectation of a fish pie, but it's not available there. Very disappointing.
S. M.
Brownlee arms great place for Saturday night meal and drinks, chips amazing, pie unique. Landlord pint excellent. 👌
s. b.
Inviting atmosphere food not the best iv had but ok nice and hot
J. J.
We just absolutely love this place. The staff are so friendly and the food is fantastic, I highly recommend the steak and chips! On our last visit the staff really went the extra mile. We hadn’t booked and we were running late. It was getting close to the time they stopped serving food so we called to see if they had a table. They had a table available so saved it for us and even took our food order over the phone so it was brought out as soon as we arrived. Amazing place x
J. D.
Went with a group of girlfriends here, we ordered lager to and were given pints, although we didn't ask for them! maybe just a misunderstanding!!. We ate there and the service was very good however a couple of us has the pie of the day which came with mash or chips, disappointed no veg included, but a nice atmosphere and would go again
S. H.
Great pub very dog friendly will definitely be calling in again
H. K.
This was my 3rd dining experience at the Brownlee arms and it was just as good as the last 2 occasions. I really enjoy going here as the staff are very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I will be going back there very soon!
p. f.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive service, disappointing food. The food was all tasty, but chunky chips and fries were both soft, steak and mushroom pie was served without veg (except for the chips) and tortillas were hard at the edges. Small things, easily fixed but detracted from what would have been a great evening out after lockdown.
L. W.
We often eat at this restaurant when we are visiting our daughter. Food and service are fabulous
P. S.
Sorry to say but our meal was very average. Very bland meat and potato pie, maybe the wrong choice but we won't be returning anytime soon. However the staff were very attentive and helpful
R. H.
really good food, lovely atmosphere
D. G.
We went for my Aunts wake. We were fantastically looked after and the buffet was great. Been a couple of times and never disappoints
A. C.
Drink only but would definitely go there again.
T. M.
Enjoyed a lovely Christmas meal out with the family. Good service nice food and a nice lively atmosphere.
A. T.
The new conservatory with retractable roof is a nice touch.
Friendly bar with really tasty food available-but we just had drinks and snacks this time. Nice chilled atmosphere.
C. B.
Food great, staff fantastic, beer terrible. Was given a pint which was mostly line cleaner last year and felt quite sick afterwards. Went for a meal last week and the beer was warm. The staff were great as usual and very apologetic however it was a little disappointing.

I have worked in customer service and hospitality for over 15 years now and have never felt the need to write a (good) review until now.
From start to finish the whole experience was fantastic and refreshing. We were greeted with a great smile (I believe hidden by a mask) and charm, from what seemed to be the manager. He was so welcoming and friendly, taking us to the table and explained current process due to Covid restrictions. He also paid special attention to the fact we had a dog and made a special effort to make him feel welcome, bringing a dog bowl and dog bed over to the table (with opt prompt).
The food was amazing and extremely well priced. Although i was stuffed from my main course i was encouraged to have a desert as well, which i do not regret.
I could go on for ever, but the moral of the story is, great service, beautiful food, fantastic staff and i will be using this as a regular outing although it is 45 minutes away from home.
P. O.
Arrived at the Brownlee unannounced but no problem. Really pleasant welcoming staff, nice meals and great to see at last people are coming back to our pubs. They deserve our support
I. G.
Very good service by the waittresses. Food was a good portion and tasty. Recommend.
L. T.
Nice pint friendly staff yeah defo worth a vivit
C. B.
Lovely Sunday dinner, could maybe have had more gravy, but we went later on (4pm) and only had the option of beef, would recommend going early for more choice. Service was good.
T. S.
Had Turkey there too thick Cup wanted beef but no beef available
K. N.
Thought we would give The Brownlee Arms another try after a not so great experience a couple of years ago...
All good arriving, temp taken,I checked in using NHS app and other two in the group given a form to fill out with their details, this was never collected and blew into the car park area so goodness knows where our info has ended up!
Waitress was shall we say, quiet,no smile or pleasantries bordering on rude actually
Food was good but burger bun was inedible as it was so hard, this was pointed out to our server who sort of smiled and never actually apologised or even acknowledged our comment ,so the whole bun wasn't eaten just the filling
The outside space is lovely and apart from the burger bun the food was good and quite reasonably priced, the Brownlee club sandwich was really good!
All in all our experience was ok but having read reviews to be honest we were all left a bit flat
M. C.
Delicious lunch, although menu choice for "smaller portions" a bit limited so we just had Starters 😊😊. Great staff, very friendly and attentive.
S. P.
We came here while visiting our daughter yesterday. Very impressed all covid safe staff are excellent our server was a young guy with a beard very helpful with the menu options the food is awesome you must have the chunky chips omg they're amazing everything freshly cooked i had steak. My husband had fish pie my daughter had the fish cake. Very very talented chef. Will definitely come again next time we come up
T. M.
Booked a table a month ago in the conservatory incase it was cold weather. Thought we would be warm but turned out it was freezing Cold! I can understand under the circumstances to which we are going through!
Had to eat my lunch with my coat on! as all the conservatory doors where open. But could not eat my food quickly enough and it soon went cold. To which we then sadly had to leave without dessert!
It put me off ! I don't think I will be going back in a hurry!!
S. F.
Top class service and some of the best food we've had out in Yorkshire. Will definitely be back again, GF options are amazing
D. B.
Always great food, good atmosphere and brilliant service 👍
C. T.
Very clean very nice staff. the food was not to the standard we have had on previous visits which is such a shame. The garden room fabulous darlings .
T. M.
It's a nice place, and we had a lovely waitress, but my food wasn't great, especially for the price (£13 for a "large" fish & chips)
J. D.
The food was nice and at £14.95 for two courses, very reasonable! Would recommend the beef roast and I really liked that you could request your meat to be pink or cooked through, which was perfect as we had a pregnant lady in our group. Found the host to be a little rude, we had called to amend our booking earlier in the day and acted like it was our fault when there was no record of it. When the bill came there were a few errors but the waitress was really great about it and fixed it straight away with no questions asked! Over all, decent value for money and good food. Would recommend booking as Sunday seemed to be very busy!
A. R.
Fantastic pub with a great menu. The tacos are amazing. They have a lovely outdoor/indoor area. The staff are very friendly and attentive
C. P.
I must say The Brownlee Arms is one of my favourite country style pubs to eat in, if not my favourite.
The staff are always polite and very accommodating and are a pleasure to be around.
The seating is well planned out with excellent choice and variety.
Dogs and babies are always welcome.
The food Is always delicious and I haven't had a bad meal there to date.
Again the menu is varied and always holds surprises and doesn't try to be more sophisticated.
Also theres an excellent choice of beers, ales, wines and spirits.
A regular Sunday visit is a necessity for me and the family.
P. M.
Always wonderful. Delicious Sunday lunch is warm relaxing friendly pub.
K. S.
Brilliant. Booked at the last minute. Sat outside. Had a lovely meal. Staff were fantastic. Great relaxed experience
P. R.
Nice food good value friendly staff
C. R.
Good beer and great food. My mother had booked the conservatory out to celebrate the life of a friend. Staff were friendly and tea and coffee were served and topped up when required. Always been a stop off when my friends an I do a beer tour of Horsforth. Keep up the good work guys.
B. H.
Very welcoming. Reasonably priced and good service.
N. B.
Enjoyed it. Attentive staff. Pleasant atmosphere in middle of day midweek. Colleague thought the roast beef Yorkshire pudding wrap could've done with some horse radish and thicker gravy but then he didn't say a word until long after he'd finished (I know!). My steak and blue cheese sandwich with the chunkiest chips (super chunky) I've ever seen was tasty.
a. c.
Beautiful local pub with an excellent service.
Very warm and loving staff we all enjoyed our short stay here with all the pleasant local community made us welcome and had some very interesting conversations.
We where told about a brilliant new app called upgrade to order pizza and believe me when I say it eat the best pizza ever just take a look at the photo.
This made the visit so memorable and we sure will be coming back for some more.
G.
Lovely food, good service too! Nice touch with the blankets to use, if you get a bit chilly in the conservatory!
T. C.
Although it was a busy Sunday lunchtime and we had not booked the manager went out of his way to find us a delightful table for two. The waitress could not of been more helpful and the meal ( roast beef in a Yorkshire Pudding wrap) was delicious. Washed down with a glass of drought cider! Excellent a credit to our village!
J. Y.
Excellent Family lunch today, helpful staff, freshly prepared food and the beer was excellently kept.
F. W.
Bloody delicious! Excellent food and generous portions, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Will be back
L. W.
Lovely meal in a welcoming environment.
E. S.
Lovely staff and fab food. Becky was great and looked after us for brunch. Katie was very helpful too. Thank you.
J. L.
Great food, wheel chair and dog friendly (certain areas for dogs). I always have the pie but they do offer a wide choice of food. Ask about the Express menu (not in December) as it's a bit cheaper for a drink and main meal.
D. S.
Pretty good food and great value for money.
M. R.
We arranged for a large family event at the Brownlee Arms and were highly impressed. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Tracy and Joanne went out of their way to assist us with a set menu and answered any questions I had before the time. A superb establishment.
S. B.
My friend and here visited on a whim and even though they were busy, they accommodated us which we were exceptionally grateful for. Food was quick and amazing.... we had bar snacks (fish sandwich). The ambience was really lovely, all staff (and there were many of them) were all really helpful and cheery. This is my first time here and I can't wait to go again already.
P. K.
Excellent meal wide selection of gluten free options
Desert portions good size and tastey
S. G.
What a lovely restaurant. Named after our own Brownlee Brothers. It's refurbished to a high standard with the nicest "set" of staff you could wish to meet and had wonderful food with lots of choices and an outside "beer garden" VERY GOOD.
g. b.
Very busy pub, so best book if you want to sit outside. Very accommodating if you don't book. Very friendly staff, nice decor.
P. S.
Lovely meal,lovely surroundings,staff lovely.Recommend to all
C. L.
Whenever I nip back to the UK I like to grab a pub dinner with the family. This was our first time at the Brownlee but we all left happy and satisfied. Good food, good cocktails, great service and a nice atmosphere in their restaurant area.
K. R.
Lovely evening. Fabulous food, reasonably priced, and great service. Thank you.
G. V.
First time for lunch today and was pleased with the restaurant and especially the food ! My niece had sausage and mash and I had liver and mash with seasonal veg and cauliflower cheese and it was outstanding !! Will definitely go back! Gloria from Knottingley West Yorkshire and Cheri from Leeds

Lovely food, beer and of course the staff

Everything fine. Timothy Taylors Landlord on draught especially good.
Food good too but pretty basic menu.
Very pleasant service

We had been to my sister- in -laws cremation in Leeds and my dear niece's had arranged a buffet and hot beverages for all the family the food was excellent and the staff were so obliging would definitely call again for a meal next time on our visit to Horsforth Leeds!
R. F.
We had a late afternoon Sunday dinner of 2 Roast Beefs, 2 Beef Casseroles, 3 Winter Crumbles and 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was excellent quality, great value for money and served efficiently and pleasantly by the staff. One to return to.
J. B.
Lovely meal in the heated outdoor marquee. Thank you everyone at Brownlee Arms for what you have done to help make life a little normal
Take a blanket or use one of theirs. Get out whilst you can and see friends
C. W.
Lovely to be out for Sunday roast. Food was good but it could have been served on warmer plates as when eating out side it goes cool quicker
L. P.
Good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, falls short of a full 5 stars as they lost the booking 3 times, even though two calls were made the week before. Arrived in time for when the booking should have been but no record of it. Staff had to run around trying to find a table for us.
K. M.
Amazing service, top food!
J. C.
I find the staff all very friendly and welcoming. The food was quickly served, well presented and very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
D. G.
Great local pub! We go regularly and always find the staff very friendly and the food delicious. There is something for everyone on their menu and a decent selection of on-tap ales at the bar. Highly recommended!
L. K.
Great menu for Sunday lunch - lots of choice. Just shy of £100 for 4. That's for 2 courses and 2 rounds of drinks each. Good value and would recommend
R. B.
Sadly We went For a Funeral Tea.
We Were Made Very Welcome & The Staff Were very helpfull & food provided very good.
M. G.
Brownlee Arms in Horsforth offers a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for lunch or evening meal. Good roast dinner and a menu to suit most.

The food here is very good. Lot's of choices to suite every taste and nice selection of drinks. Good atmosphere coupled with friendly and accommodating staff make for an overall enjoyable experience.
B. B.
Friendly staff and excellent service food is always good highly recommend.
E.
The Brownlee Arms had great cocktails, top quality food and a warm, cosy atmosphere that was perfect for a long catch-up with a good friend. Just what we needed on a frosty Winter’s night. Watch your step when heading for the bathroom though!
J. R.
Always friendly, good well kept beer and great food.
S. R.
Nice food. Good alcoholic beer. Just wish there was a better non alcoholic beer choice.
C. R.
Since being taken over and changed to the Brownlee Arms, the place is a huge change. It's been decorated lovely, staff are excellent and food is nice if little on the pricey side for the portion you get. But i would recommend the place to others.
P. M.
Found it fortuitously. Large pub, plenty of tables. Respected civid regulations. Good food and good choice
M. H.
Went for Sunday dinner. Food was nice and good value when getting two or three courses. Staff friendly and was well set out for Covid safe.
C. P.
Great food and staff. Very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. The sweets were very professional in appearance and delicious.
-. S. B.
Enjoyed a meal and drinks with family. Beautiful pub, excellent service, bit slow but was a busy Friday night. Loved the prawns starters you got to try them
N. T.
Really nice veggie pie and chips. And very friendly, helpful staff.
E. R.
Most times I have been the food has been really lovely and again most staff are lovely and helpful although some do let it down. Dog friendly area which is great and pricing is good. Its a very cosy place to sit down for food and/or drinks.
S. F.
Popped in for sunday lunch. My advice is book, it's very busy. A great example of what you can achieve in a local. Good food, honest but seasonal menu specials make this place ideal for a re-visit
D. B.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Nice place to get together and celebrate!! All socially distanced of course!
B. R.
Great food and friendly staff. Nice homely welcoming atmosphere.
C. C.
Food is fantastic. Highly recommend the burger and chips. The atmosphere is lively but quiet enough to still hear each other. The service was cheery and quick.
C. T.
We visit on a regular basis, mainly lunchtime. The 2 ladies I go with are both wheelchair users. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The food is always fantastic as is the service x and great value for money .
D. W.
We were booked in for a Sunday dinner & all of this was fine we were seated in time & the service was quick. The meals arrived in good time.
I ordered beef[pink) my partner the turkey the presentation was wonderful.
The downfall was both of our burnt & rubbery yorkshire puddings & my not pink but overdone & tuff beef.
Deserts I ordered treacle tart but opted for normal custard as salted caramel custard seemed like another similar flavour to the treacle?
My partner not keen on most of the deserts opted for ice cream.
I should have gone for the ice cream!
Initially if I was aware the treacle tart was black treacle I would not have ordered it as I am not a lover of this at all secondly the custard I thought had been mixed up with the tapioca this I requested they change I received another batch of slightly less lumpy custard.
Should I have complained about everything at the time some people say yes but I think the same way as I expect my work to be found which is done to the best of my abilities, yes we all make mistakes & ours was Sunday lunch at the Brownlee.
D. S. C.
The lady behind the bar was really helpful and friendly.
She forgot to place our food order, however she then dealt with the error very professionally.
Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you deal with it that really matters!
s. f.
Went for Sunday lunch and was a little disappointed that they could charge premium rate and serve frozen yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes !! The rest of the meal was very nice. Service was slow but it was very busy.
R. A.
COVID interventions are top notch the food is amazing and very well priced. I love T Brownlee Arms and tbh I can't wait for COVID to finish so I can start going here more often.
L. F.
Great place. Tasty well presented food couldn't fault any of it. Generous portions. Staff friendly.
D. A.
Good pub, gets a bit too busy on a Sunday and you may have a bit of a wait for your meal...once it does arrive its bloody good value for money. Big portions!
D. S.
Good food, good staff. Very quick time and good service. Some of the nicest food that I have had in Horsforth, good place for family gatherings etc. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice meal out in the Horsforth area.
L. A.
Nice atmosphere, good food, good little outdoor area, the odd endearingly casual member of staff and the beer's not bad. Dog and little monster friendly. Also named for the legendary brothers.
I. P.
Very well organized , felt safe could have easily stayed all night but they ran out of virtuous 😕 still my favourite local though !
K. C.
I love coming here with my family on Sundays, the staff are always so welcoming and ever so helpful, the menu is delicious always something for everyone even us vegetarians , you do need to book as it does get busy , price wise it's very reasonable
T. B.
Popped in for a drink this week after attending a funeral. What a lovely place. Great staff, smart and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended
B. A.
Half decent gastro pub, nice beer, friendly staff and good sized car park but a little pricier than others nearby. Great place to meet and have an evening meal before heading down Town Street nearby.
H. S.
We really enjoy coming here for family celebration meals, good value and generous portions. Not too hot on taking your reservation though, worth checking twice
J. C.
We have been here several times and always enjoy the food. Pleasant surroundings and helpful staff.
S. L.
Impromptu date night on a friday night. Couldn't fault the service, the food (beautifully cooked liver) or the prices. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Well done guys.
S. R.
Lovely hot food, great selection, lovely staff

M. L.

Lovely food and service. The wine was excellent. Thank you, I'll be back with the rest of the family
J. A.
Grey, beige and mediocre. One of those 'Laura Ashley' pubs. Don't get me wrong, it's slick, comfortable, lots of money spent but to little effect in terms of character. Hardly any community feel, just a uninteresting chain gastropub you can copy and paste virtually anywhere. Everything closely cut and budgeted to the nth degree. Nothing interesting or unusual will ever happen here.
K. R.
Lovely meal, but make sure when you go on a Sunday you got the two meals deal instead of just one meal as it’s the same price! I got caught out!!!
s. m.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Plenty of parking and disabled facilities.
T. F.
visited last night nice clean pub and nice pint -well done to the young lad serving at the bar whilst the rest of the staff stood together talking oblivious to the (at least) 3 customers waiting all served by the same person
