A very popular, cosy pub with hot vibe. The whole pub smells like beers lol. Good location, very close to uni. If needed you can book tables for uni/society activities and spend hours there. Fab staff and nice service. Cheap price. A good place to hang out with a bunch of friends.

*PART OF THE OTLEY RUN* A staple of the central Leeds pub scene. You’ll definitely see the loyal regulars having a chat with the bar staff. If you’re up for a challenge, try the Tiki Fire shot! Board and card games inside in the corners, free to use. Great for medium-sized groups. Always a good night in The Fenton.

Generally decent pub, they're posted to stay open late most nights but seem to close randomly without updating their hours. Very quiet when the students are away - this could easily be improved by updating their hours, so people aren't making wasted journeys. No menus for food - just online. I've been coming here several years before even realising they served food - never seen anyone order a meal but people do bring their own takeaways. We visit the pub to drink/socialise/play pool - if we have to mess about with a smartphone then we may as well have stayed home glued to the laptop. They seem to randomly follow "Boris logic" which would eventually see them closed permanently enough will be a real pity. Beer/cider is always good quality, and as far as I'm aware Boris' bar (Parliament) is still partying and mask exempt - they know just as well as any of us that any "new variant" is no longer a threat - it's the common cold rebranded.

Love this pub. Very traditional inside. Nice atmosphere. Mainly student oriented but we're some of us 'oldies' there!! The staff were great - chatty & helpful. Went there to see my sons band (Damage 66) play. Great little upstairs music venue. A little jewel of a place :)

This place does a great beer called Fenton larger or as everyone calls it, Dog Beer. They also do Fenton bitters or as the locals say, Bitter Dog. Very cheap and a lot of fun.

A really nice pub. Warm atmosphere even if there are quite a few students coming in. They have a great selection of beers and an impressive cider selection for a northern pub. Whoever chooses the music has great taste. It's not very expensive, maybe two pints for about £8-9 and shots under £3. So yeah, a good place to go on the regular or just for a visit.

Great place for drinks! Always has fantastic music playing including great live bands upstairs. Yes it can be busy, but what do you expect from a rocking venue. Heavily recommend for people. Cheap drinks and great music, what else can you ask for?

Decent selection of ales, if you're a real cider drinker it has a lot of them as well (A lot better than most pubs, must be at least 4 on draught). The pub also has a decent selection of spirits, including single malt whisky. Ale is well kept, the one I had ( 'Little Critters Shire Horse'), was quite pricey (£3.50), not something I mind necessarily but not exactly as cheap as I thought it would be. The place itself has a traditional feel but good for the students as it has music playing, a pool table, arcade games and board games. But still not bad for those who aren't students, definitely worth a pint.

This pub has an enormous history and as a place should be visited to experience a classic, almost forgotten old pub. It is my most favourite pub which holds wonderful memories. As a visitor to Leeds visit it. You will not be disappointed. It is tatty, dilapidated and with a range of customers who on the street should be avoided but in the Fenton are easy to engage in conversation. Send it my love.

These kind of places are on the decline in Leeds unfortunately but it's still going strong as an alternative rock bar with a friendly and unpretentious vibe. They have upped their game recently by offering a wider range of cask and keg beers and they often have decent offering from some of the top tier of local breweries. Band a couple of quid in the jukebox, kick back and enjoy some of your favourite music.

Classic Leeds student pub on the famous Otley Road run. Has barely changed in the nearly 40 years I've known it! :-D Good selection of beers & other drinks. Used to be Tetley's all the way, a bit more variety these days 😊

I love the Fenton, it's a great little pub, cheap drinks and frequently hosting live music nights. Popular with students due to the low cost of beer and it's proximity to both Leeds Beckett & UoL (it sits bang in the middle of the two!) and hosting regular quiz nights, it's a fun night out. Good for pre-drinks for people attending gigs at the arena. Smoking area is downstairs and very comfortable! Or smokers can stand out front with no problems, but I do recommend downstairs because it's very comfortable! Doesn't serve food and doesn't accept card payments either but those points do not harm the overall great reputation of the pub.

Cheap, but that doesn't mean you don't have to clean the place. No toilet roll and the place is a bit grimy to be honest. The staff are friendly and the place has a chilled atmosphere so it's not all bad.

Been going here for years and know everyone involved. Sound is always bang on here, the new engineer Stu nails it every gig. In particular the bass rig they have now truly gives the overall sound a rounded feel to it. Organisers are sound folk who know how to throw a party and the barstaff are ace. One of my fave spots to have a few an catch up in Leeds!

The new owners are fab and really got this venue up and running again, I do a stage hypnosis show at the Fenton every other Thursday and it's a very welcoming and friendly place, with a good sound system upstairs.
