S. L.Marion & her team provided us with lovely food and service for a wake. Marion and her team were professional caring and attentive. We were greeted & welcomed by Marion and her lovely team. This made us feel cared for and put us at our ease. The food was presented with care and with attention to detail.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Marion and her team because she - put simply, cared and understood what was required to make our day less difficult.

M. B.Really nice atmosphere and friendly service. It was quiet, but didn't feel empty. The food was good quality, and we didn't leave hungry. Reasonably priced. My only disappointment was the sharing Antipasti plate, which in my opinion had no where near enough food considering it was £8-9; tasty enough, but not enough substance (needs cheese, and maybe some more salad). We enjoyed our visit, and would go back.

L. D.I like it here, there’s not a great selection of beers. Your usuals you will get no problem but anything like a craft beer I’ve never seen. Great outdoor space that’s in the sun if you’re lucky enough to have it. Plenty of parking as well.
J. S.Thought we'd check it out as I'm booked to do the, 80's themed, New year's eve party 🎉 there. Plus it was my son's birthday. Food was really good, with friendly and helpful staff. The building dates back to the 1800s with very thick stone walls so the acoustics should be awesome for NYE, can't wait to see u all there. Laughing Buddha Sound System x.

A. P.Got a shock today for receiving in to the mail a parking charge of £85!. Went for the first time to this place, food and drinks were decent and had an enjoyable time but did not expect the parking charge notice.
Called the place and they were kind to get it cancelled and advice to key in the registration at the tablet next time. Thank you and will definitely visit again for the fixed price meal and the wings, which are just too good especially down with a cold beer.

V. R.Great food and friendly staff. They were really accommodating with our kids and really helpful.
One thing I found quite odd though was when we tried to shut the door because of the overwhelming stink of cigarette smoke from outside but we were told we couldn’t because of Covid… not sure what is worse for our lungs to be honest…
Despite this, would definitely go back.

Great place, lovely location especially if the weather's good and you can sit out on the patio. The service was friendly and professional, food arrived quickly, was tasty, nicely presented and and a good price. I will definitely be back next time I visit Leeds.
Take note though. You need to input your car registration on an iPad inside so that you don't receive a parking ticket. We didn't realise but a quick phone call to the pub and they sorted it out straight away.
A. G.Visited for a family midweek lunch. The fixed price 3 course menu was tremendous value for money. Service was excellent and my uncle commented that the IPA was very good and well kept. All In all this was a great afternoon in welcoming surroundings.

D. W.I booked a buffet for 20 after my husbands funeral end of January. I have been for meals in the past and always thought they were good but this was the first time for a buffet. It was exceptionally good, lots of variety and very plentiful. They kept the food coming and it was very reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend the buffet and the service.

Requested a certain area to sit in when booking,,but was shown to another area/table although the area/ table requested was empty and remained empty all evening. Had eaten the previous week when the pub had just opened, the attention to social distancing was being adhered to and food was lovely. However I could not say the same for this visit. The fish and chips were no where near the standard expected, clearly not cooked in hot, hot fat as the square fish had no bubbly batter or crisp. And when the second one arrived identical plate of food. The pasta was luke warm and had what looked like cold grated red cheddar sprinkled on top. Not a good look. The Fox MUST do better to keep its regular diners through these uncertain times. Maybe some have already left as there was only 5 tables in what should have been "a fully booked night"......?
N.Only had 2 bitters on, 1 was Tetley's and the other some average IPA but it was beer so there ya go. Plenty of parking if needed and in outdoor area too

d.Went for Christmas dinner. First time I have not had dinner at home. Really had a great time. The staff were really friendly, the atmosphere was spot on and the food was really nice and reasonably priced.
The kids loved it and were made to feel welcome with the sweats.

R. C.Friendly staff but expensive drinks and have to 'phone' for a parking ticket. Some locals were friendly but there were a few that didn't seem to like 'outsiders'. I enjoyed the few hours I was there whilst waiting for my train home but was constantly stated at by another customer/regular which made my experience not as good as I would have expected

And the staff were super friendly and were nice to talk to. I would visit this place again in the near future :)

Been frequenting the Fox on and off for the past 20 years since I moved to the area and witnessed it through various refurbishments etc say Hello to Matt. Hes in there everyday and loves to chat to randoms!
r. j.Family and dog friendly pub. Located directly opposite the railway station. They have a big menu (including vegan menu) with reasonable prices. The food was amazing and served very quickly.
J. W.I regularly visit for lunch and evening meals. The environment is friendly and welcoming, as are the staff. Food is reasonably priced and consistently good quality. Only downside is having to pay for parking, which is a faff even though it is refunded inside the pub. All round, highly recommended.

M. H.Visited this pub for lunch with some relatives. Had an unusual car park arrangement where you had to clock in using a panel on the bar. Not sure it was necessary at lunchtime as there were never more than 3 or 4 pubs in the car park. Guess it must get busier at night. Food was standard Ember Inn fare. No specials, but the food was fine. There seemed to be a preponderance of Pale Ales, not unusual these days. But the Tetleys was good and very reasonably priced.

Mainly stick with the steak & ale pie and each time it's been spot on. Good range of beer & ales and the prices are more than acceptable.
The 1 and 2 star reviews are unfair, seem more of a reflection of the kind of spiteful people that just want to moan. Look at all their reviews, always moaning.
Just don't forget to buy a parking ticket (they did this since locals and train commuters kept filling up the car park)

t. k.Me and a friend came as first timers for birthday celebrations. We had food and a couple of bottles of fizz. We thought the lady with long dark hair and a couple of peiceings was lovely and served us perfectly.
A.Food is just ok but good value for the price. Usually have a decent ale on. Posting for parking is a pain, have to remember to have a £ on you (it is refund when you order food/drink and it does take new pound coins)

P. G.Nice little pub in Horsforth which is situated right next to the railway station. Not eaten here but the food looked tasty. Theres outdoor seating and a small car park. Please remember to let staff know your car registration number at the bar or you may get a parking ticket.

S. H.Enjoy using this pub to meet up for a meal and a drink with a friend, especially as it is on the number 6 bus route from Leeds town centre and next to Horsforth train station, so easy to get to. Coming from the east side of Leeds, it is a novelty to see the planes fly overhead.
Lots of nice food to choose from and the wine is not overpriced.
