M. P.The Staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. The food (I had the veggie platter) was beautiful! The selection of beers is really really good. Authentic Belgian/German/Dutch food and beer.
My only gripe is the location; for me a taxi is too expensive and there’s no direct public transport… if I drive I can’t enjoy the beer as much 🤣

K. P.Such a great place to get a flavorful Belgian, Dutch, or German beer. My husband and I come here often and always love the ever-changing tap and the food menu is also great. They have great vegan options- we get the oyster mushroom burger or the tofu schnitzel and are never disappointed.

L. O.We had a bottomless brunch for my friend’s birthday and it was faultless. Really friendly staff, an imaginative menu that was actually filling and a good selection of drinks. The staff mentioned they don’t do many bottomless brunches and I can’t imagine why. It was great! I highly recommend giving them a visit whether it’s for a bottomless, a few quiet drinks or a meal out 😊
a. b.Well where do I start with all my praise. We normally go into Leeds to eat and drink on a Saturday afternoon but for various reasons decided to stay local so we plumped for the little monk. Now my son and I know our craft beers but we're blown away by the choice they had there was something for everyone beers wine etc etc. Now for the food I normally have something to not really complain about but that is annoying is when you go to a food venue and you may have a great starter or main and say the chips let it down or the chips are great and the main is not you get my drift well there were 3 of us and we had different meals and each one was absolutely perfect I could not fault a thing even the owner was really pleasant and attentive but in no way overbearing This place is my new favourite place and I can't wait to go again so guys get yourself down and support a fantastic local business
A. T.Awesome select of Belgian beers and fantastic food which caters for vegetarians, vegans and Gluten Free (we're hard to please!) Beer's served in their authentic, branded glasses (as they should be) - owner is incredibly knowledgable and took the time to talk us through his recommendations. We'll definitely be back for more! Only bit of feedback would be to have a larger selection of non-beer drinks, as although there are wines available the range isn't huge (but totally understandable - a Belgian beer bar focusing predominantly on Belgian beers!) Cheers again.
A. C.Highly recommended, Really good selection of beers, some of them hard to find elsewhere, and good quality food and chips. The Ox cheek in the photo was delicious, maybe a bit small for the price but is worth trying. Also the Italian espresso coffee has been surprisingly good.
J. B.A really good small bar with a beer range in inverse proportion to its size. It specialises in Belgian and German beers, with British, American and French also featuring.
The cheese and meat platter was excellent, albeit a bit pricey.

C. H.Been here during both cold winter nights and intense summer heatwaves, and it is a lovely place to warm up/cool down. Always an astoundingly wide selection of beers to suit nearly all tastes, as well as an impressive food menu. Feels like a real escape to a modern pub in the continent. The table service is efficient, and I would recommend this place if you're with a group of friends, or perhaps on a date, a lovely place to socialise with a relaxing atmosphere. Playlist is top quality as well.

Thomas, the owner, is super knowledgeable of beer so is fantastic for recommendations if you are undecided.
There's plenty of options on tap, all of which never fail to disappoint, whilst having so many more options in the fridge.
There are house draught options, whilst the other taps rotate frequently, which is great.
I'd recommend the St-Feuillien Five on draught during the hot summer days. It's served in (I think) two-thirds of a pint, so your beer stays fresh throughout the whole drink, and it really hits the spot.
The bar is also perfect for playing board games with your friends, and there's plenty to choose from.
5/5 - always.

S. G.Somewhat surprised to find this little gem in Horsforth. Solid selection of Belgian and German beers. Very knowledgeable owner/manager Thomas who gave us some great recommendations on beers to taste (after asking whether I was driving or not - which I was not thankfully as some of the beers have a good kick) and a genuinely interesting and friendly guy to chat with.
Had a few appetizers which were also very good (e.g., the mushroom croque and Yorkshirewurst).
They have been open for about a year and hopefully their business will grow well. All in all a great addition to the pizza places and pubs in Horsforth. Will certainly go back when next up.

t.Been here a few times, selection of beer is excellent if slightly overwhelming. Hits the spot each time and good to try new options on top and bottle. The food is also superb (some of the best in Horsforth I dare say) and will be back to go through the menu. Top draw 👌
L. P.Enjoyed drinks here many times and they provide an amazing arrangement of flavoured beers and lagers, they provide a great knowledge of the drinks menu. They aim to please and steer you to the beverage of your choice. The food is lovely, I had a pork schnitzel which tasted very flavoursome, tender pork with a crumb that tasted of aniseed and sweet maple Syrup. Will definitely be back!

The bar has a great range of beers and the staff were very attentive. I was driving so just had a low alcohol beer (which I normally steer clear of) but it was really very good.
