Great pub with fantastic food options (Slap & Pickle). Ever changing tap so you can try all kinds of beers and they also have seasonal drinks like mulled wine (near the holidays). Love the cozy old pub vibes and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting/living in Horsforth area. Very dog friendly too!

Staff behind the bar are lovely, not the best selection of beers but that's personal preference. Currently they have Slap and Pickle in doing food so great veggie options, loaded fries and dirty burgers.

A wonderful pub located in a great place. It serves a small selection of drinks and the atmosphere here is fantastic. It has a small beer garden with a few tables for those sunny days. The food served here is brilliant and authentic Thai, some of the stuff on the menu will make you sweat - don't underestimate it!

The Old Kings Arms is absolutely everything a pub should be. Friendly, fun staff who care, proper pints of interesting beer, great Thai food & lovely quirky decor. It works just as well for us for an early family meal with our kids when we can’t be bothered to cook, as it does for an evening out with friends. I couldn’t recommend highly enough & feel really lucky to have such a good pub within walking distance.

New owners are friendly and helpful. Much cleaner and welcoming than it used to be. I have lived in Horsforth for over thirty years and didn't know it had a beer garden. Pool table off beer garden in what looks like an old garage.

Absolutely amazing Thai food, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s been our local for 5 years and has never disappointed. Thankfully throughout lockdown they’ve offered Thai take out which has been a Saturday night saviour. Revisited tonight and it was spectacular as always. We’re moving house next week and sad that it will no longer be a 30 second walk away, but safe to say we’ll make the trip from Rawdon regularly. Long live the King’s!

I'm not from the area but spent both Friday and Saturday night at this pub while visiting family recently and had a brilliant time! The DJ on the Friday night was playing classic soul, absolutely loved it. A band played on the Saturday night and the atmosphere was amazing, the place was packed and the band had everybody dancing - we had a ball! This pub will be my first stop next time I'm in the area, great night out.

Booked a table here for a few drinks as we had already made dinner arrangements elsewhere but had I known this establishment was serving Thai we would have ate here... next time 😁 Anyhow the pub is covid secure with one way system , gel hand sanitizer etc , it is table service only and you can start a tab or pay per round electronically.. no cash. Staff were nice , seating comfortable and easygoing atmosphere.

They have done am awesome job on this place since they took over. The staff are very friendly and food is nice too although when the Thai people have the kitchen it can be a bit slow to come out. They have piano sing a long every other Sunday and pub quizes on a Wednesday night I think it is. On a Friday morning they run a 'shake rattle and boogie' event for kids which my little un loves. You can book through the website. Dogs are welcome here and it's a great place for families. They have some sport so you can usually catch the footy or cricket or whatever too.

Since renovation and a change of management a couple of years ago The Kings Arms has improved dramatically. Better drinks choice, decent and interesting food (currently Thai), and a much friendlier atmosphere. They are family friendly (tolerate well behaved kids), which no doubt will annoy some, but as a parent it’s a godsend to have somewhere welcoming and relaxing to go for a while on a Saturday afternoon.

I love it here. I used to live in Thailand and did so for more than 10 years. Phi Wan, Phi Dee and their staff are amazing and cook authentic Thai food. They even do some of our personal favourites for us. Wonderful food, place, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend coming here to have a relax with friends and enjoy ALL the Thai food. Much love. X

To be truthful, I haven't been in here for years but to my knowledge, its changed for the better. The clientele on a Friday and Saturday night, weren't really my cup of tea and the 'aroma' of urine and vomit from the toilets, always extended into the bar itself. I have been in during the day too and its a completely different atmosphere; it's a nice place to sit and chat over a glass of wine, without having to shout over others. I know that the landlords/ladies have been working very hard to change the pub around and make it a more pleasing place to be. I would definitely go in again at some point and re-reveiw but for now, I can only go by my past experiences.

Popped in for a quick pint after a meal out. Hadn't been in before but the cask marque in the window looked promising. Pleasantly surprised to see a wide selection of good local beers on tap. Topped off with comfy seating and just in time for the weekly open mic session. Oh, and the toilets were spotless. This is important. Minus one star for not having a dark beer on ;p

This pub has gone through a great renaissance since it closed a couple of years ago. The drinks have been greatly improved, but the main change that really sets it apart is the Thai kitchen. I belive that this was a pop up but has been so popular it's now part of the old Kings Arms new identity. The staff are extremely friendly and I get the feeling it would not be many visits before you'd be on first name terms. The food tasted amazing. We went for medium heat and it was hot.... My other half felt it was a touch hot for her, but everything was still devoured. From what we understand this is genuine Thai style. We will be going back on the last Friday of the month after a few drinks at Pooky's

This was the best vegan Thai food. So much so that I have been dreaming about eating it again for the past 2 days.it was fresh, wonderfully cooked and packed a punch. Lovely dog friendly pub too. Selection of ales, gins and intetesting drinks. Sport available for those who seak it and a quiet cosy corner for those who wish to avoid!

Always come here when I visit family and absolutely love it. It’s a great pub with reeeeally good food - the Kitchen has changed a couple of times but it’s always been fantastic. Always something interesting going on and lovely staff - even spent Christmas Day here the few hours they were open and it was heaving and so much fun!

This lovely old pub has recently re-opened after a refurb and I love the new look! It's now run by a friendly young couple who have re-introduced a weekly quiz. Newspapers and games are a nice touch. From the pics on their Facebook page it looks dog and child friendly and they've even got tables in the rear courtyard. Great for the family!!

Lovely pub , quiet when we went today but have been before and it's been busy. They do food but I think it's a guest chef spot so changes from time to time so check with the pub before going if you want food. A huge improvement from before and very fitting for Horsforth .
