Just popped into the beer garden for a quick drink on our nightly walk. Due to Covid restrictions its outdoor service at the moment. Lady owner is really friendly and she serves an amazing pint of Birra Moretti .

Went on a Friday evening with my sister in law and her husband. Great beer ( Wainwright's) excellent service from the barmaids, look forward to our next visit.

Attended the Rosebud for the first time to watch their open mic night.
Great nights entertainment and quite a few talented musicians in attendance , great to see such a well attended event.
The bar was well stocked with premium larger , bitters and pale ales and sold a great verity of spirits.
Bar staff were polite and service was prompt .
All in all had a great night out and would attend again.
61 deep pale ale was very nice

Wonderful drinks, lovely setting and always wonderful service. Not expensive and the beer garden is wonderful, especially for the dogs. Highly recommended.

Good gin choice. .if you like real.ale they tend to be rather hoppy beers with a citrus aftertaste so you'll enjoy them here ..the staff can be friendly they rarely are a bit off . The music quiz is designed for the regulars as the 2 times we did it it was aimed at middle aged people and no other genre really
Needs more diversity . Lovely pub inside and out . Warm and welcoming

Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for landlord and staff. Beer garden to rear is nice to sit out in on a sunny day. Inside there is a good size lounge and also a games room.

What ever expectations you have of a good public house, nothing and I do mean nothing will come close after you have been to this pub.
Excellence comes as a standard term here, nothing is beyond the team that run this pub,be it a wonderfully cooked lunch, or the best pint of beer ever to be tasted.
Simply try the place out, see for yourselves and become a regular like so many others do.

A destination pub as next to a local road consisting of a small(ish) lounge and public bar. Does Sunday lunches and has TV in the public bar showing sports etc. Has 3 or 4 hand pump real ales normally available. Beer prices are a tad higher than in say the Bull in Rothwell, but on the 5 or 6 times that I have visited, the quality has been excellent.
There is also seating outside within the car park so people can sit with their dog (for example), while having a drink.

We have lived locally to the Rosebud for 3 years now. I remember the first visit fondly (on the evening we moved in!) We were made to feel very welcome from the start and still enjoy popping in for a drink or a wonderful lunch on Sunday afternoons. The pub itself has a warm atmosphere and is always impeccably clean. There is a large beer garden to the rear with lovely views out over the fields towards Carlton and Rothwell. If you are a real ale drinker then you'll be spoilt for choice with up to 7 ales to choose from, a mix of popular and lesser known varieties. There are two weekly quizzes held on Tuesday and Sunday, which caters to all ages and includes a free hot snack. Definitely a pub worth a visit.

Like your Ales? Visit the Rosebud for a good selection including guest beers. I had a lovely pint of Wainwright's although I'm unsure if it is always on or a guest beer. Sunday lunch is very popular and all home cooked. Decent outside area and semi rural.

Great little pub which from the very first visit was made to feel at home and like one of the locals. Decent pint, sky sports and very welcoming.

Good real ales and the food I had was great. Multiple TVs makes watching multiple sports easy. Friendly bar-keep and locals.

In the1950s60s i used to go to this pub with the mates i had then, most of us had motor bikes and would meet up around the seat on rothwell lane, the beer was good but most of us would go for the baby old it was very strong beer and it was the only pub around that sold it, after a few we would call at freds chip shop just up the road and sit on the seat for hours talking and messing around with the bikes
