Reviews of The Roundhay Fox
A. W.
Really good Sunday dinner. I had the roast trio and loved it. Was there for 3 hours and never got offered a drink after the initial drinks which was a bit disappointing but food was fab.
J. G.
Absolutely amazing place food was absolutely incredible and the staff are so nice and friendly and always make sure that all your food and drinks are ok we have had always such a wonderful service from hear will be back again thank you
G. D.
Service 5/5- Great staff
Venue 4/5 - Our high chair, and neighbouring tables pram touching. Tables too close/small/uncomfortable.
Food 3/5 - Starters nice, Sunday dinner average-Broccoli raw, potatoes spongy and sticky, reheated badly, Turkey and Belly pork dry. The steak was lovely and trio beef was ok. Cauliflower cheese, didnt taste cheesy at all, likely packet produced.
S. M.
Lovely food. Brilliant service by Benji who amazingly remembered our drinks and food orders!👍🏾
L. M.
The food menu was very limited, so not great for a 'quick bite' but for what we had ordered, it was so good! They're dog friendly and have little treats and water bowls outside which was lovely. Such a cute setting and the food and drinks orders came out rather quick after ordering via the APP.
R. B.
We sat outside as the weather was lovely so we used the app. (3 times in total, drinks, food, drinks) each time they came promptly. Staff were polite. My husband had the ham and cheese sandwich with fries and I had the beef brisket with chips. Both delicious. Best beef sandwich I've had in a while and the pot of gravy was yummy, could have had more 😋😋
D. W.
Really nice pub with plenty of outdoor space both in a courtyard and at the front. It's located right next to Roundhay park and Tropical World/Canal Gardens and has it's own parking.
Friendly staff, chilled atmosphere and a great selection of drinks and some nice bar snacks.
M. B.
Delicious traditional Sunday roast 😋 with vegetables perfectly cooked. Benjamin was terrific with the service and took very good care of us adding a great touch to the whole experience, see you soon!
J. P. G.
I had Camembert bites, sweet potato chips side and sticky toffee pudding. All delicious, although anything would taste delicious after a walk in Roundhay Park in a sunny day! There is a part of the pub that is dog friendly and another one that isn't. It is very family friendly, so do not be surprised if you get some noisy kids sitting close, specially on a busy day. There are also some outside tables if the weather allows it.
A. W.
The brisket sandwich is totally delicious.
Staff was friendly and lots of fun, the dog sat by the table made it perfect.
J. R.
We turned up on the off chance of getting a table at lunch time, and found a table in the bar area. The food was nice, although the wait was slightly on the longer side. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint, is that it was a hot, sunny day and it seemed that the heating was on full blast. It was so warm and stuffy inside.
D. “. S.
We had a great time celebrating my wife's birthday.
The only thing that I think can be improved on is the availability of condiments (salt and pepper). We had to ask a member of staff to find some for us after we had received our meal. There was ample bottles of ketchup, brown sauce and mayonnaise.
B. T.
Fantastic food + Booze; would highly recommend if your in the area, lovely atmosphere and interior.
P. S.
Visited with my wife and my mother, we all enjoyed the meals, the staff were really nice well spoken and very polite. Although it was busy we never felt crammed in, it was a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend and will be visiting again. 😊
S. M.
Had a lovely lunch with my daughter here. The service was excellent, warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was varied and included vegan dishes.
The food came promptly and was delicious. 5stars for sure.
R. B.
Cosy, warm, welcoming venue. Treated my parents to a meal where the food was great, and the service even more so from Issie, who was super attentive, bubbly and professional. Won't hesitate to return. Thank you Issie & co.
R. M.
Visited whilst waiting for an appointment at the local Spire hospital. Just had drinks, but great menu and by the look of other tables they were well received. Large portions and well presented.
Excellent place, one of those places you just don't go to eat but could spend the full evening in front of the fire. Very cozy and well set out
C. J.
Impromptu visit, easily got a table. Service was quick & friendly. Felt the choices were a bit limited and expensive (£14.50 for a chicken salad) However, got a brisket sandwich and tripple cooked chips from lunch menu (£8.50 i think) it was lovely and everyone else enjoyed theirs.
P. G.
Impromptu Drive out and walk in Roundhay Park ... finished of with a lovely late lunch in the Roundhay Fox ...Great Food Quality drinks Super Friendly staff ( Mrs can't help meeting people she's not seen for years #Rachel) What a lovely day 🤙🏾🍻💞
S. D.
Really nice pub with plenty of outdoor space both in a courtyard and at the front. It's located right next to Roundhay park and Tropical World/Canal Gardens and has it's own parking.
Quite friendly staff, nice chilled atmosphere and a great selection of drinks and some lovely nice bar snacks.
Exactly what you would expect from a pub lunch
J. W.
I love The Rounday fox great to pop in after a walk in the park. I've only marked the rating down because they can run out of food on the menu especially on busy days and coffee and food orders can take a little while to arrive to your table.
H. T.
Very friendly staff. There was a varied and interesting menu. The food was excellen, all 7 of us enjoyed our food. The party consisted of 3 generations.
T. M.
The food was acceptable if a bit expensive I thought mostly self service as the order by phone etc leaves the experience cold and faceless we seated outside as we had a dog. Loads of children running around
D. B.
Food was lovely, would recommend going earlier than later as there was no turkey left when we arrived at 17:00, also if you're used to a Toby carvery this is the complete opposite when it comes to portion sizes.
C. P.
We went at lunchtime today, the food and service were excellent. Poppy was attending our table and did a great job. I would definitely recommend a visit.
C. B.
Gorgeous food, excellent service, nice pub. Nice little outdoor set up in the courtyard what with the covid limitations at the moment!
K. M.
Food was very good. The pub was very busy but the staff appeared in control and were friendly and helpful.
M. G.
We booked today for 15:00 after sledging in the park and have visited other pubs within the same chain. The pub was clean and had a lovely country inn atmosphere. It was busy with people who had not booked but we were seated instantly. Although the food was good, the service was slow and we had to request both the desert menu and then to order our desert. The staff seemed to be stretched unfortunately. A couple more team members could really benefit speed of service and therefore the overall experience !
J. C.
Top class pub in Roundhay. The interior is relaxing and really homely. The food was top notch and reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant and polite although they seemed a little unkeen on giving us a table without a reservation even though it was 9pm and the restaurant was half empty.
D. B.
Some furnishings are worn down and shabby (most arm chairs) but this is a lovely, pet friendly pub with lovely staff, historical site, not bad.
C. R.
A perfect country pub, set next to the glorious Roundhay Park. We had Chris as our waiter and he was excellent! Highly recommended.
J. R.
Always feels like this place doesn't know how to be a effective pub. Service is inconsistent. Toilets are average but very stinky. Very pricey soft drinks.
B. T.
Nice pub near the park for a beer. Dog friendly. Fire places. Food is usual pub fare.
R. l.
Beautiful pub with a lovely atmosphere. Extra points for being dog friendly and so close to the park!
D. J.
Lovely pub in a great area. Buzzing atmosphere. Attentive staff. Varied menu. Asked about allergies. Steak was unfortunately very fatty and not worth the price. However the other meals were tasty and generous portions. The pizza was massive, could easily fill two people. I would return. Liked the coffee with a smaller dessert.
L. I.
Gorgeous country style pub with friendly, attentive staff. The food is always tasty and the staff are great with our kids. Would definitely recommend.
C. M.
Amazing Sunday lunch. A fairly long wait which was as expected given it was totally full but they were open about that
M. S.
This place is amazing for Sunday roasts! Hands down the best roasts and Yorkshire puddings we've ever had, beautifully fluffy in the middle with cripsy edges - please keep this quality up. Highly recommended!
E. M.
The environment is great and to have fires throughout the venue keeps it so warm and cosy.
The staff were so polite (especially the guy who said he could drink the watermelon syrup all day aha, excellent service)
Quick service and the lamb koftas starters are definitely the one to have, they were so tasty, along with the chilli jam and slaw.
S. D.
Back to our favourite place and it didn't disappoint. Changed lunchtime menu a bit so it was good to see a few new things to try. We will be back there very soon.
I. H.
This place is always busy, but they can usually find you a table. Service can be a bit on the slow side. Food is fine.
I. w. S.
Staff are lovely but food is plain and they have no hot sauce. So, for those of you who love to have little spice in their food, please bring your own. Other than its okish for family gatherings
J. I.
Recently started intriducing cocktails which is something I usually go for in a bar so it's better now.
T. M. S.
Roundhay Park nice big park many cafes in it
R. H.
Lovely place - has open fireplaces for winter and amazing original features and has been decorated in a modern but sympathetic style so you can enjoy the architecture but it doesn't feel like you're in a museum!
It's also got a nice courtyard beer garden.
Food was great and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Highly recommend!
L. H.
Beautiful pumpkin spiced cocktail with a beef brisket for lunch.. Nice and chilled atmosphere and food after a lovely morning walk.
J. R.
Visited a couple weeks back on a weekender in Leeds. The food was really good and reasonably priced, opting for the house burger, very impressive. Good pint of ale to go with it too
D. A. M.
Lovely food. Attentive friendly staff. Good atmosphere
R. W.
Extremely appealing 'country' style gastro pub conveniently located on the edge of Roundhay Park, north Leeds. Excellent parking. The appetising smell of char grill cooking fills the air outside and inside. Food and service excellent. Hunters chicken was piping hot and tasty!
A. W.
It is a busy pub and booking a table is highly recommended. The food is excellent and the service was very good. Next time I am up in the area I will want to return.
j. y.
The place was really busy, and we turned up on a sunday without a booking. The staff were really helpfull and found us a little table for two even though it wasnt in the usual dining area the food was a little pricey but then it came and i tasted it, it was worth every penny. While we were eating there were the usual "nothings good enough" family eating just over from us and one of the young table waiters handled them with grace and professionalism. I will definitely eat there again.
N. R.
Gorgeous pub. Very welcoming and cosy. Food excellent and the staff very friendly
Highly recommended!!
A. D.
Absolutely wonderful staff we go for a walk twice a week to roundhay Park and my kids always look forward to the triple cooked chips and fantastic service and atmosphere and the fact they always remember us!!! 👍
d. h.
Great food nice atmosphere if I had to pick on anything its the toilets, they could do with an update
K. I.
This was a very good restaurant. We were there at 1:30pm the place was packed. We had rump steak, seabass pancetta, chicken pie, steak & ale pie, et al. All tasted very nice! Oh! Latte tasted brilliant too!
s. c.
Lovely pub. Halloumi fries were great. Will definitely be returning.
S. C.
Love it, such a great friendly atmosphere. Lovely roaring open fires in winter and comfy seats making it a delight to meet up and spend time with friends.
J. T.
Really friendly staff and nice food. A nice little stop off if you're in the area.
S. D.
Beautiful pub great atmosphere good service ♡
T. B.
Good food. Good quick service, even when busy. Loads of space.
B. B.
Good food and good pints, all the staff are always lovely. Nothing bad to say
c. T.
Very good roast dinner, friendly and efficient staff, good beer
S. C.
Visiting my partner's daughter and went for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent and choices of drinks were good. Staff were polite and ordering was easy. Quality and quantity of roast beef dinners was great and the fish & chips was a big plate full. The only complaint I have is when you book they are a "dog friendly" pub but don't ask if you are bringing a dog so when we arrived they had to swap seating around as understandably dogs are not allowed in th restaurant. And only in the bar. Would be nice to have a tick box when booking to ask whether you are bringing a dog or not. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this place.
N. R.
Great place! Every dish looked as good as it tasted, lovely decor and friendly staff.
Apple crumble 5/5
C. D.
Nice place. Clean, nice decor, friendly staff, decent wine & ale & a good menu. Three of the people who were with us ate, and all enjoyed. Two had the Margherita pizza - both agreed that it shouldn't have fresh sliced tomato on top.... I agree. That's not a Margherita thing. All in all, a nice place.
G. L.
An excellent family meal not very busy, great service no rush and friendly from arrival to departure and excellent choice of food
S. W.
Staff friendly and efficient
Veg a bit cold in one meal
A. B.
Lovely food, amazing every time we go. I love this place.
R. d. S.
#beer and #burger what else can you ask?
Triple fried #chips, never heard of before.
Nice cozy #pub in #roundhay park, #leeds
Rounhay fox is a typical english-yorkshire pub you keep coming back now and again, I do go every-time we visit the park or #tropicalworld
Nice well cooked food and nice selection of #caskale beers on tap.
If you are in this part of the world come and pay a visit. It worth it! Well recommended.

Staff were lovely. Main course was really nice. Disappointing dessert, looked like it had been microwaved and custard was cold (even had a skin on it) I dont think it was worth the 6 quid, hence 3 stars.
L. C.
Warm and friendly environment, staff very helpful and welcoming - Highly recommend
G. S.
Great customer service. Adam and Rachel went above and beyond to make our night a very pleasant evening. Great food quality and tasted amazing.
Thanks team Dot enjoyed her birthday meal.
c. w.
Fantastic food I had the belly pork with black pudding mash
L. C.
Good food, nice environment, good staff

Well worth a try absolutely
Fabulous meals are very good 5 stars .xx
M. H.
A gem right on my doorstep. Had some lovely food and a few pints of nicely pulled draught Guinness.
U. K.
Wonderful service and beautiful food. The lamb kebab starter so moist and succulent
P. W.
Visited a few times with my black Labrador for a late morning brunch. Usually have the Eggs Benedict which are perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere - a perfect mid-walk break.
G. M.
A Vintage Inn.Staff welcoming and pub interior great.
Starters mushrooms arrived quickly and were very tasty.
The staff were helpful swapping an egg for a Salic on one meal of gammon.
Food was hot and delicious.Beer and wine was fine.
P. J.
Nice food. Good local pub close to the park.
J. H.
Really warming and welcoming atmosphere very tasty food at a reasonable price will certainly return again
H. J.
Four adults and one infant had a meal here recently.
We were warmly welcomed by the waitress who was polite and efficient throghout the meal.
The menu choice was very good.3 of us had the chicken pie, one person had the pizza, infant had childrens meal.
The pies were a good portion and tasty with generous chicken pieces, the mash potato was a small portion, vegetables were soggy.Pizza taste was rated ok.
Followed by sweet toffee banofee pie shared by 2 people.
Bill came to just over £60 which we thought was good value.
There is option of outdoor dining too.
Overall we were happy and would recommend.
D. H.
Sunday lunch was ok the beer was well liked after the service was ok
G. A.
We were shown to our outside table ( under current restrictions), which was in terrible repair, with wood chippings missing and looking very shabby. The food was average ( my beef was lukewarm and somewhat tasteless). Service OK but not enough people to take orders etc. In a world where places are fighting for lost custom, I think it was underwhelming to say the least and needs to to better
E. T.
Stunning food as always, a good food stop...
G. A. T.
Excellent food, good atmospher, great service.
J. F.
Good selection on menu, reasonably priced, good food and great service
g. m.
Not sure why this pub is always a let down ,but thought id give it another go & unfortunately was the same bad experience .
On arrival there was a queue of people whom after 5 minutes of no know one attending the waiting area two couples left .
A family had to try get the attention of staff .
We'd booked online & asked to be sat outside with it been a lovely sunny day ,but was put in the shade .
Ordering wasn't was a hassle too ,apparently sitting outside you need to download the app & order ,but if sitting indoors you get waited on ,which wouldn't be an issue if they had decent WiFi & other people were having similar issues .
Once on the app ,they had virtually nothing ,not even salad ? .
So ordered food ,wife fish finger sandwich & myself chicken ,advocado ,mustard sandwich both had stale bread .
The waiting staff were nice ,which made up for the let down in the kitchen .
The pub food has consistently gotten worse here ,which is a shame as its a nice location & other pubs in the chain are of a much higher standard .
I think someone from vintage inns needs to sort the issues out here as i wouldn't be coming back for eating .
H.
A good staff team and delicious, well priced menu
I. H.
Mixed experience with staff, probably because the first person who served us had set the bar very high. Food was excellent and the setting was equally brilliant. Would have no hesitation in revisiting when back in Leeds
S. L.
A lovely restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were helpful, cheerful and polite. Slightly over priced but the food was excellent
G. H.
Reasonable Sunday roast ,price as gone up though since last time here.
A. K.
This place is huge and cosy at the same time! Love it. Highly recommended :)
D. D.
Great place…quality food with bags of character 👍
R. G.
Typical english restaurant. Nice and quiet back garden.
D. L.
Nice pub, but every time I come the service is very slow. The que had 15ish people waiting and only one till on. Person on till was taking orders and getting the drinks rather than having someone to help him, it seemed understaffed or poorly managed.
T. S.
A good place to have a great pint of beer perhaps bring the beer prices down you a great pub 👍
J. B.
Nice setting right beside Roundhay park entrance and across the road from Tropical world. Standard pub food but well done and service is good. Some outdoor seating but in full sun( if it is out).
S. B.
Lovely spot for lunch on Saturday. Duck salad was delicious! Appreciated the effort that went into ensuring all customers were distanced. Waitress was incredibly friendly and made my little nephews day. Will return once reopened!
R. P.
[review edited 26/05/21 to include detail as requested by the venue] The staff were very good and so was the quality of the first round of drinks. we had to sit outside as there was no space indoors and only one outdoor heater was working. We were told we could only order with the app outdoors. The app, however kept crashing on my phone (Google Pixel 4a) while trying to order a second round, so after several attempts I gave up and we left.
T. A.
Great food, served piping hot, quickly by friendly servers. Warm pub with roaring fireplace, great atmosphere, great pub!
T. H.

G. m.
Great food and atmosphere and lovely open fires
A. C. A.
Super happy with the service and the menu, in special Vicky and a young man tall and brunette with and unusual name.
I recommend the vegan sausage roll and the ribs, belly pork amazing, the started they are all really nice.
I hope they open back soon
a. d.
Had a nice pint and meal.
I would say that staff sitting in the middle of the pub talking about work etc including the manager is a professional to see
S. W.
Lovely eatery, cosy relaxing, food great.
C. M. (.
A loverly pub just across the road from, Tropical World serving a good selection of various refreshments and a good selection of various meals with plenty of seats available. The only down side was that the cost of some of the meals on the menu where a little bit pricey. Other than that the service was excellent and was made very welcome by the staff.
S. L.
Excellent food and great hosts, thank you! 🙂🍻
A. P.
When we visit the daughter, this is the pub we have to go to for Sunday lunch.
Great food and a good price.
Would recommend if you are in that area
L. C.
Staff always polite, great place for a business lunch
M. D.
Really nice building. The food was pretty good, and the portion size for the fish and chips was huge! The staff that served us were really helpful and friendly
C. M.
Lovely pub, lovely food ... Enjoyed our time there 🙂
J. L.
Fab food and friendly team. Always a treat to visit when I'm in the area.
J. D.
Busy pub with good food and a nice atmosphere.
T. B.
For what this is and where it is is a great park! A really good size work lots of aspects to it. I really enjoyed walking around it for 1 hour and the lodge cafe is excellent. Well worth a visit after a good stroll.
J. C.
The food was excellent, with some good vegetarian choices on the menu for my partner. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pub is nice inside, with real fires that make it feel cosy and give off a wonderful wood smoke smell.
The pub has all the COVID requirements in place but it doesn't feel restrictive and soulless like the restrictions and rules can sometimes do.
C. B.
Great food great service we really enjoyed it
S. J.
Very busy place but staff are amazing and food is A+
m. g.
Called in for a drink nice pub would try again
S. J.
Called with my daughter and grandson for belated dad's day treat enjoyed our light lunch my fish finger sandwich was really nice the staff were very good and polite and helpful will certainly recommend and call again would have given you the other star had there been a cold sandwich selection on the menu
A. H.
The staff at the fox are lovely people, always friendly and helpful but regularly the pub is under staffed.
Tonight was worse than normally. Just one very charming guy trying to book people in, see them to their seats and take orders.
After booking a table earlier in the day , we finally gave up waiting after 20 minutes without an order being taken.
As we left we explained why we were leaving, the guy was suitability apologetic.
Its a shame because its a lovely pub, feel sorry for the staff having to do so many things at once.
Appreciate your comments Akira and of course we will be back
S. D.
Had booked a table for 4 adults and 2 babies. This was somehow not read correctly and a table for 4 in total was offered. So almost an hour after our booking we were seated at a table to accommodate us all.
I am gluten & dairy free (not by choice-an allergy) and asked what I could have from the Roast menu (told not the parsnips & Yorkshire Pud). I had thought that I might be given a couple of extra carrots or an extra potato to fill the massive gap on my plate, but alas, no.
I was given a jug of gravy and told they weren't sure if it contained gluten or not so gave me it so I could decide myself. ALARM BELLS. As someone with an allergy, being told that the establishment isn't sure about something fills me with dread. Needless to say I left the gravy.
The rest of our party enjoyed their roasts and when asked if we wanted any puddings said no, we were all done. Then the dreaded wait to try and catch someone to ask for the bill. One of my biggest bug bears is wanting to pay and leave but waiting at least another half hour to get the bill. With 2 babies who were now getting very grumpy having been there longer than planned due to the mix up with the table, surely it would be a good idea to sort out our bill quickly?
The food for the group overall was good but the mix up with the table and subsequent delay in sitting down detracted from the experience & as an allergy sufferer, being told that the kitchen isn't sure about something really concerned me.
J. C.
Really cosy pub with good food and great service
M. N.
Our first visit was very pleasant indeed. My partner and I had fish and chips and it was great to be able to sit beside an open log fire with good food and a pint on a damp and cold day. Woodforde's Wherry on tap was very welcome and in good condition. Cod and chips were spot on. The fish tasted very fresh with an excellent beer batter complimented by triple cooked chunky chips. We asked for more tartar sauce as the portions for this were small. Other than that I have no criticisms at all. Great atmosphere, a lovely building, solid service and we'll priced.
We'll be returning to try more on the menu as there seemed to be a lot to choose from - which can be a risky menu rather than focusing on a few things done well. The place was busy for a Thursday evening, so looking forward to trying them again.
A big thank you to the lady at the Thackray Museum (who definitely won't be reading this) for recommending the Roundhay Fox!
Free parking is available outside the pub on a sides street if their own car park is full.
S. R.
Great atmosphere and good food. Would be 5 stars but just needs a bit of a refresh, some of the furnishings are looking a bit tired!
J. L.
Good atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good choice of drinks.
I've had a meal before and it was great.
S. M.
Beautiful food nice atmosphere. Though a bit cold
S. R.
Lovely staff and friendly welcome. Fish finger sandwiches were piping hot and freshly cooked. Nice location by the park.
S. E.
Great place excellent selection of drinks good menu food was excellent. Friendly and efficient service, was a wonderful experience all round.
S. S.
Booked table and plenty of room to isolate. Food fine. Good service by waiters and was able to move table due to draft from rear door being opened all time into beer garden.
H. M.
I went to Roundhay Fox for Lunch with my family. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and I absolutely loved the quality of the service! We were served by a very nice lady called Emma, she was very friendly, she made sure that we get everything we've requested and made us feel very welcomed. I must say she's one of the reasons we enjoyed our lunch at Roundhay Fox! Thank you Emma :)
T. L.
Despite reading some negative reviews particularly on tripadvisor, we gave this place a go as it is very well located within Roundhay park. Each of our party of five had a roast dinner and everyone was very satisfied with their choice, the lamb was my favourite. Our server Fraser was very attentive and provided great service, he even brought a water bowl to the table for our very tired dog following a long walk around the park! The tables were very well spread out to allow for social distancing. Deserts were shared between our group and all were pleasant. My only gripe is that the meal was a little expensive for what we had, you can certainly get better quality roasts for less money in the centre of Leeds. However given the location, excellent implementation of social distancing and friendly service we received I award a five star rating. Given the popularity particularly at weekends I recommend booking in advance, particularly if you are planning to bring a pet!
P. W.
Took my Mrs here with the kids for her 40th. Great experience and really easy to sort out, without having to use any apps to order.
Just phoned up and booked a table. They let me bring a cake and candles and stuff up earlier in the day and i bought a bottle of champers. After the meal the waiters/waitresses brought the cake and champagne out on ice and even sang Happy Birthday to her.
They were all fantastic and made it a great evening.
Food was amazing too, probably the best lasagne i’ve tasted.
M. B.
Very busy Saturday lunch but free drinks/desserts offered as apology for wait. Lovely attentive friendly staff

Firstly, let me start by expressing how pedantic and confusing some of these reviews are about the Fox since bars and restaurants reopened.
We are in the middle of a pandemic and people are complaining about menu items not being available, tables not been cleared up immediately and food taking a little longer to come?!? You should give your head a wobble if that's all you have to complain about!
Now to my actual visit.
My family and I visited following a walk around Roundhay Park for a little lunch. We felt safe with the measures they have in place and found the staff and management very friendly and helpful. The food was spot on and my ordering experience was seamless.
All in all, a much better and safer place to visit than the majority of other pubs and restaurants I have been to in these "unprecedented times".

Nice place to enjoy a beer or 2! App nice and easy, friendly staff! What more do you want 👍🏽
- Hey Benjy, it was 5 stars?
J. C.
Came with my partner both myself and him agreed the food was lovely. Nice and friendly staff and pretty building
M. M.
Lovely Vintage Inn pub, in a great location, although it can get busy with families and dog walker's. We had the burgers and chips which was OK. Service was attentive, but it was pretty quiet at the time. It's just an ideal place to pop in after a walk or a day out with the family.
S. B.
Slow poor service... our food came before our drinks... our cutlery was dirty, we were put somewhere drafty and when we asked to move they said no because of the bookings... but we had booked too- so we could have moved and the other booking which hadn't arrived yet could have had our table...? Just didn't seem to be much help... as for surroundings the decor is lovely, I love a good English pub, big fireplaces and the pub end was dog friendly... I would certainly return but on a more casual basis rather than for an occasion such as mothers day
R. H.
Huge! Popular pub with outdoor tables. Good food and range of drinks. Not good for wheelchair users tho.
A. F.
Decent wee place and nice crisps
P. S.
Well mannered staff friendly and happy to help and service was outstanding
W. G.
Helpful staff with allergy choices. Food very good.
L. C.
Incredible food, great drinks, made to feel very welcome
Try the lamb kofte for starter and the chocolate brownie for dessert is sublime
S.
Good but not great. had calamari starter, it was quite chewy. Then had the "Mucky burger" burger was quite tasty (very messy to eat). The home made onion rings that came with it were very greasy. Other who dined with me had to return their meals as they were not hot enough.
A. T.
Very good service, great priced food and portion size. The food was very nice and we'll presented.
F. P.
Great food and quick service. Went for a meal at 7pm. We both had starters of soup and main courses of sea bass and salmon. I would certainly recommend it. The price was very reasonable given the quality.
B. T.
Free shot. Dog friendly. 5 stars

I like to think I’m fair in my reviews, but not everyone can be pleased! My family and I had meal here yesterday after a visit to tropical world. So sorry, but food was grotty frozen rubbish most pubs sell. Somehow I was given a child’s meal! Maybe my standards are too high! Prices, about average! Absolutely nothing to write home about!! Won’t go again. I’m sure many will. I just hoped for more. Disappointing.

Lovely setting, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. I was suprised to see the bar area was dog friendly and it added to the local feel. The staff were both friendly and efficient and the prices were fair. We only had drinks at the bar so cannot comment on the food, but will definitly be going back.
A. C.
Lovely building. Food was ok. Service was passable until we finished our starter and then we waited what felt like forever for our mains at which point 1 order from the 4 was wrong. This was sorted straight away and a free drink offered to the person whose order was wrong.
d. c.
Amazing food family friendly and so accomadating ❤️
C.
Had a lovely three course meal here with family a few weeks ago. Great service, lovely team of staff who couldn't be happier to help. Large menu with a wide range of drinks including regular new ale offerings. The food came within about twenty minutes and was delicious - would definitely recommend the prawn and scallop starter, 8oz beef burger and brownie for dessert! This place really is a hidden gem and at such reasonable pricings we can't wait to go back!
J. H.
Lovely food staff very friendly would recommend a visit not too busy on a weekday
S. W.
Service was good but food is expensive. Got the same size dessert and my daughters, her cost 1.25, mine cost £6.50, the only difference was she had it off the childrens menu with ice cream and I had it off the main menu with custard.
C. “. H. M.
Lovely pub, great attentive staff. Good vegan menu though was out of a lot of the meals. Ordered a pasta and it didn't come with everything and would have ordered something else if I had been told. Staff apologetic.
J. T.
Went for lunch here after a walk in the park, beautiful pub large interior and prices were surprisingly good.
Waiter was really friendly and recommended me a lovely ale.
Food was delicious steak cooked just how I asked and portion was good.
Overall I highly recommend this pub and I can't wait to go back
E. C.
This place as so much potential but is sadly ALWAYS understaffed, although the staff are very good they are seriously overwhelmed unless the bar is virtually empty. Tables are usually piled high with dirty dishes which customers have stacked themselves. Location is fab and a great place for a drink on a quiet week day afternoon, food is also good.
S. G.
Great place decent food as well I'm not usually a fan of pub food either
A. W.
Great pub and always smell nice as they have an open fire. I met a colleague there for a meeting and some drinks. It was quite busy as it was half term but only one bar person was on the bar. I felt sorry for him as he was having to take food and drinks orders and then having to make them all as well. However he did it and did it with a smile.
D. F.
Pre-booked table Christmas Eve for 3. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and were spoilt for choice with the menu. Very well looked after by a lovely lady- thank you. The bill was very reasonable too. Fab evening and the perfect start to Christmas!
B. M.
Good service. . helpfull staff...dog friendly...pity they don't do B&B🤔.. great location
t. s.
Grand service, food and prices reasonable, pleasant atmosphere very helpful with 1 year old
D. M.
The place has character. Has 2 open fires.
I usually go in after I have been to the park, as do most people.
I had a very nice stake and ale pie with mash and veg - really good but should be for £12.
J. J.
Great place for a lunch. Food wise excellent and the interior design make the experience even better.
S. Y.
Fabulous restaurant, really lovely food and desserts to die for.
Top class service from the wonderful staff.
Will absolutely visit again next time we are in the area.
M. C.
Lovely place. I was greeted by friendly staff. Was lunchtime and very busy which is always a good sign as they were serving food so take that as the menu is a good one and we'll prepared. They had a good selection of beers and I chose a pint of Aspel Cider which was a little less chilled than I would have liked but from a conversation I overheard between the bar staff and another customer it seemed they were having problems with a chiller as his lager was the same.
Decor and seating was lovely with some rather nice lounge chairs mixed in which for my arthritis was heaven.
I gave this place 5 stars as I really couldn't fault it. 😀 Not going to mark it down for a fault on a chiller unless it's the same next time I visit.
Well done everyone at the Roundway Fox 🦊, keep up the impressive work.
G. C.
Lovely food and friendly staff.
N.
We were there at 2pm in the afternoon and even though the place was practically empty the service was still slow and our food and hot drinks came out cold. We had to ask for the hot coffees to be remade as they were so cold the cream was settling at the top. They were also out of cheese and onion sandwiches which should be a staple in a pub so we were very disappointed about that.
The servers also seemed a bit rude and disinterested. Not only was the service awful but when one of the servers spilled a hot coffee all over me and my baby's stroller (sans baby - thank goodness), she said sorry but then just walked off and left us to clean it up!
I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are planning to eat.
S. S.
Great pub in a great location. Friendly staff, delicious food.
D. J.
Ace pub. Been loads of times. Cosy in winter beautiful in summer. Good selection of beers. Don't eat here often, but it has been Brill in the past. Friendly staff. Only downside being when the sun's out its unbelievably busy making it hard to get to the bar!
M. P.
We had booked a table for four. Absolutely wonderfull, the food was beautifully presented tasted delicious and a wonderfull christmas day was had by all. Downside, my party hat was too big. I would definately book next year a perfect christmas treat.Thankyou to the wonderfull staff.
E. E.
10/10, absolutely exceptional experience.
Top lads on bar, would go again
C. J.
Location is great and I think that makes all else suffer. Slow service, not their fault but always understaffed. Average chain pub food. A few beers on draft, sometimes something good. Apart from the sun trap front yard (which gets pretty lairy on hot days, revving engines nearby etc.) go to Oakwood or Street Lane instead
M. B.
New year's Eve drink, very civilised, enjoyed.
G. B.
Lovely place and great service, food was tasty and well cooked. The rear garden is a bonus to avoid the noisy road.
B. W.
Unfortunately the food served here is not as good as it used to be in my opinion. Friends and I visited at lunch time and ate from the 'lunch menu' , the salmon fishcake I was served had been 'cremated' , I did complain and was served a fresh one nicely cooked. Another of our party had the Eton Mess, and it was a mess, not much meringue or fruit but plenty of sweet and sickly sloppy cream. Another of our party needs a straw to drink with and they had none as they stated they were not using plastic ones anymore but had not managed to source any environmentally friendly ones. We will not be rushing back !!
A. R.
Excellent Food
Order from the app if you want
Nice quaint outdoor eating area .
Friendly Staff .

We love the place but it has it's variations as all places do. Nice meal on last Sunday of 33% discount promo felt like the staff were over stretched and food was good but veg overcooked and 45 min wait for sweet. However with promo and understanding staff all was sorted to satisfaction.
C. H.
The food was excellent, and the service by Benji and Mandy was splendid! Will certainly be returning to try out more of the menu.
J. L.
Pub is rustic. Dog friendly. Family friendly. Parking. Good location a minutes walk to Roundhay park. They are busy as do good food so often they've run out or low on food. My prawn and crayfish cocktail had virtually no salad, no crayfish and what seemed like some rapidly defrosted prawns. It was bank holiday so assumed they'd run out of certain food.
E. A.
Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Pleasant staff.
R. J.
The location and interior are lovely. The food and service is poor! Had to constantly re-order meals as they had run out of: beef burgers, steak, mixed grill, colslaw, potato wedges and even onion rings! This would have been fine if we had been told when we ordered but were told as our meals were put on the table. The second surprise came when a bill for the full amount arrived. Very disappointed and will definitely not be returning.
G. P.
Dined here today and the service and food were both outstanding.

Great service lovely food

First time here! Staff friendly and interacted well! Food was great and drinks were super cold!! Will deffo return
J. F.
Food and service was excellent.
J. A.
Food OK nothing special
Service very slow.
2.5 hours for 2 courses.
Despite asking for desert menu we gave up in the end and left.
b.
Lovely food, clean place, nice atmosphere and great service.
A. A.
It's an extremely cosy place, but unfortunately food did not live up to the standard - steak was overcooked and stringy. Male toilet had a broken hand drier (with no paper towels available as an alternative) and broken tap on a sink. Still would recommend coming to have a drink next to a fire, very cosy!
T. S. F.
I've been coming here for over 20 years and they know the true meaning of customer service and always have everytime I've visited ive not once been disappointed
Everyone is always so welcoming when you come here the staff are a credit
Its right next to Roundhay Park plenty of parking and very cosy inside
Portions are very generous and the food is good price are not bad 😋

Went to celebrate pubs reopening. Bit odd but lovely and safe.
Bengy our waiter was eccentric but lovely server. Food was good, plenty of choice
D. M.
Great food and drinks very nice atmosphere, will definitely call again
J. S.
The staff were lovely. We ordered the Sunday dinner. The Yorkshire pudding was huge but sadly it was quite tough. And the cabbage, which was shredded, was more on the raw side than Al denté. The roasts were over done and slightly burnt. I ordered a portion of cauliflower cheese, which was a disappointment. It was nothing more than cauliflower in a white sauce with a light sprinkling of cheese on the top. Again the cauliflower was to undercooked. It was such a shame for £12.99 it could of been a lovely dinner.
W. M.
Apart from the girl, we found extremely rude and with an attitude that was so unnecessary in a place that was so busy for obviously such a good reason at the door, who told us we couldn't have a table before she found out we only were having a drink (maybe ask first), this is such a beautiful bar in such a beautiful part of Leeds! And even though we didn't eat ourselves what we saw passing us on plates looked bloody amazing!!
S. S.
Nice pub and extremely busy during weekends and bank holidays. Found the food and service to be very average during a recent visit, this was despite the place being less than half full. Good drink selection, but the chicken pie was found to be almost all pastry and was very bland.
C. M.
They have their moments. The food is good, but the service is really hit or miss. Once got seated, then told 5 mins later (by, apparently, the manager) that we'd have to move because someone was before us! Thankfully the waitress sorted that. Another time we couldn't order food because the "eating area" was 1 table along, but then they sold us bar snacks which were cooked to order. Definitely some improvements to be made.
One thing is their favour is they're a stones throw from Roundhay park, so a great place to crash after a walk round the lake.
R. G.
It's part of the Vintage Inns chain but doesn't have too much of a chainy feel to it. I guess it means the menu will be basically the same as you'll find in other Vintage Inn pubs. Then again, it also means that you'll probably be able to get occasional discounts through things like the Gourmet Society and so on.I didn't stay for food on this occasion but I did stay long enough to notice that they have a decent selection of beers available (including Black Sheep, which I always miss when I'm not in Yorkshire). The pub is pretty dog friendly too - they're allowed in the bar area but not the restaurant, which seems pretty fair.
C. B.
Nice lunch, fairly busy but plenty of space.
Service was a bit mixed but okay overall.
D. J. W.
I only went for a look see and to check on access for disability. I had to remember that this pub is extremely popular and gets very busy . I went early to check outside facilities . There are two disabled accessible parking bays in the rear car park . Not sure they are the right size tho . I unload from the rear which is fine here but it can be a problem for all round access . I ventured round the outside area and found it a bit bumpy .However a wheelchair would have no problems in the carpark or entrance . As for outside seating I understand that fastening furniture is a necessity but it’s a bit difficult to slot a wheelchair under a table , but I did manage . I then went across onto Princes Avenue and there is extra disabled parking , dropped kerbs and a pelican crossing .Looking forward to revisit and check out the interior
V.
Nice decor and ambiance, allows dogs which is nice and useful being next to roundhay Park. Good environment for families as well as dates though can be very busy at weekend especially if sunny. I haven’t eaten here so can’t give a full 5 star rating but my experience of having drinks here a couple times hasn’t been bad.
A. S.
Lovely food and outside service. Clean bathrooms no webs and kind staff. All wore masks and distanced customers.
M. S.
A very nice rustic pub kids and dog friendly. The food I ordered was delicious. It took a while too come but it was freshly prepared. Would certainly come again
J. C.
Went here for lunch after a long walk around the park. Food excellent and great value for money. We were looked after by Rachel who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

My five stars are for Louis who gave top service yesterday when eight of us went for Sunday lunch. The place was mobbed and Louis had a lot of tables to cover but he served us with a smile and very efficiently. The roast beef was delish and the coffee and mini dessert option was a perfect end to the meal. Thanks again, Louis - we’ll be back!
L. f. (. 7.
The place is very welcoming, the food is amazing and plated really well and the staff are friendly and comfortable. The food is worth the price and your time here is well spent.
P. G.
Lovely homely pub next door to Roundhay Park. Had the Sunday roast, was very tasty indeed with the beef being of exceptional quality!
B. O.
Fine pub for drinking but DON'T GET THE FOOD!! This pub used to do great food. But now the service is shocking. It took 15 minutes to get a menu and order a drink. The drinks took another 15 minutes to come. Then we ordered food... It took 1 hour 20 minutes to come and was very poor!! My beer was nice but that was it!!
S. A.
Great food, highly recommended the trio of roasts. Very good service too
B. B.
Had a lovely meal at this relaxed and cosy pub. The staff (especially Katie and Lloyd) were particuarly careful with my order and fully accommodated for my gluten allergy. Would highly recommend!
D. H.
Brilliant. Lovely lady looked after a friend and I on table 37. Especially gratifying when in the past I had found staff very offhand. And it's such a great place. Food excellent. Thank you!
C. C.
Lovely pub set in a nice area of Leeds right next to Roundhay Park. Easily accessible by car or public transport. Nice seating area outside & a lovely interior. Good selection of drinks & bar snacks.
D. J.
I have been coming to this pub for 4 years. Wonderful ambience and great food. Staff are always really genuinely nice

First time here really enjoyed it lovely food brilliant setting friendly staff will be coming back 👍
M.
We just had dinner here, everything was perfect. Very clean, social distancing in place. Food delicious and Benji provided amazing service. Will come here again
C. B.
Service was great. Portion sizes on food are lacking but the special linguini was impressive in taste and presentation. Overall, a nice place to relax and enjoy a pint, even if it is on the expensive side.
A. M.
I asked if there was Gluten Free food available assured there was and handed a file to wade through most dishes in the file contained wheat .i chose the ham hock which is not priced in the file The ham hock was nice ,but the accompanying sauce and vegetables not enjoyable. For this and pot of tea £13 paid in advance not value for money .I then ordered Eaton Mess which came to £5.25 ..?and told there would be a wait .? For Cream fruit and merengue?? It arrived and was not worth the price ..small bowl with small portion .Not very impressed ..will think twice on returning . .
J. B.
While the food is okay, it's nothing remarkable, and the service is somewhat slow. Drinks orders were taken rapidly, although the drinks and the request for food orders came 10 minutes later. The delays were ever present...would not come again for anything more than drinks.
D. B.
Really good food and a very welcoming atmosphere

Home away from home feeling. Better go around 11 the Sundays if you want to have a seat
J. M.
Lovely evening sat outside but inside very nice too and they sell Aspall on tap

A group of 6 of us visited the Roundhay fox for a Boxing Day dinner, was a bit disappointed to find that they had ran out of a lot of the dishes, the drinks took around 20 minutes to come (at this time it wasn't busy) and the service in general was quite bad and the bill was wrong a few times... but then Mat took over our table and he rectified all the issues and went above and beyond! He really did turn a negative into a positive experience. Lovely young boy he was.
K. L.
Excellent service. Excellent food in a gorgeous atmosphere. Even in these difficult times the staff were amazing .. highly recommend the Roundhay Fox 😊
D. K.
This place has really grown on me and I'm fast becoming a regular! - from the minute you walk in you're greeted the smell of a warm fire and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere...the staff are lovely and always happy to see you and the ale is always very well kept and served...
R. P.
Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Food was spot on and very good price for what you get. Been past the pub a few times but never been in. That will now change and we will keep coming in from now on.

Been here a few times now Great location lovely food brillaint friendly service especially Rachel defo be coming back
J. H.
Great pub, lovely atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff. Dog friendly. Family friendly. Perfect for a pint and some scran after a walk around roundhay park. One of the nicer pubs in Roundhay.
H. G.
Nice old pub/restaurant next to roundhay park. Service can be a bit slow on midweek evenings at the bar which serves a few different independent beers. Outside and car park lighting not always on properly.
M. B.
It's a really nice place in a great location but on Christmas Eve I felt they were struggling with the workload. Food took over an hour to arrive, numerous dishes were unavailable and I was a bit disappointed with my meal though everyone else was happy with theirs.
G. L.
Haven't been in years so was great to find it was still a wonderful place to eat
S. W.
Just went for a few drinks. Good location and nice feeling pub.
L. M.
Lovely meal..one of the plates was too hot coming out of the kitchen and I burnt myself :-( but I was warned! I just accidently caught it. Maybe it shouldn't be so hot it can cause physical injury? Still a lovely meal though. :-)
N. H.
Went as part of a large party inc. kids, we were well looked after and majority of food was nice however all who pre-ordered the beef had to send back as it was extremely tough and tasted odd.
L. W.
Looking forward to fish, but non available unfortunately! Hopefully there will be some this week. Lots of room, social distancing good. All staff appear to be very happy to be back at work.
L. H.
What a lovely pub, it has a very homely feel to it. The prices where very reasonable and the food was lovely! I had a stone baked pizza and chips, it was delicious, I will definitely be visiting again some time.
L. S.
The Fox has earned its place on the Street. Good ales, wines and a good selection of food. They've recently introduced a Vegan menu, which is relatively extensive and popular amongst regulars.
The Fox catches the Sun all the way to sunset in the Summer and you'll find people hanging out on the wall if no chairs are available. There usually isn't.
An eclectic mix of people from all backgrounds and classes. If you're at Roundhay Park the Fox is probably the best place to grab a drink and some food. Perfectly located at the cusp of Roundhay Park and opposite Tropical World with excellent parking for the disabled as well as able bodied.
J. G.
A fairly comfortable parkside pub with grub, but it does tend to turn into an yummy-mummy crèche, so not good to go to if you have a restraining order preventing you going near children.
D. F.
Shout out to Louie who was having a busy day (a couple of staff called in sick) and managed to deliver great service with a very minor delay on our hot drinks (which he knocked off in his own initiative). Food was also great. And the interior a nice old pub style. Thanks Louie!
V. P.
Amazing ambience!!
A. S.
Fantastic food with good selection of real ales and excellent service (very polite staff)
D. W.
Good food and location but do not go in peak times. The staff and kitchen cannot cope. waited 40 minutes just to have drinks order taken waited a further 20 minutes and left before the drinks came
K. H.
Food was good, service was very good, thank you to our waiter! Would come again if in the area 👍
D. F.
Great pub - good staff and decent grub lovely courtyard for when the suns out and a stone's throw from Roundhay Park. Great selection of ales and ciders on tap and when winter comes around the log fires just make this pub a perfect would recommend calling in.
n.
just had to wait too long for our meal. Once it had arrived it was tasty but is 1 hour from ordering to getting your food acceptible especially when the pub should be geared up to peak rates at the weekend?
S. B.
Comfortable environment, hand sanitizer available, social distance seating, table service, one way system and beautiful desserts - hopefully outdoor area will open soon.
R. W.
The Sunday roast here was great (had the pork) but the service was excellent! Louis, who was looking after us, was an absolutely legend! Really friendly, helpful and attentive. Thanks Louis!
K. S.
Always friendly and good food
P.
Nice atmosphere and feel to the pub. Good food and service along with being a dog friendly pub. Would recommend.
D. W.
A bit of a wait for food but that's because this place is so popular. Well worth the wait though. It was reasonably priced, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
C. H.
Great food worth it to eat only
S. S.
Good service and friendly staff. Some pubs are a nightmare to visit during the pandemic, but not this one !!
P. R.
Too busy. Waiting too long for lunch. Again. Fish fingers had more batter than fish. Chips weren't quite cold. I've been disappointed too many times. I doubt I'll be back. I'd give it two and a half stars if I could.
j. h.
The food was lovely the staff friendly. We sat by the fire but it got really smokey so we had to move. We would like to have stayed but it was really cold.
P. M.
Staff very pleasant and attentive. But food disappointing, beef was beautifully cooked but portions were small and the food was not very warm.
R. B.
Tasty food, nice place and staff. The place is worth to visit

Loved it the first time I went and still loved it this time. So cozy and relaxing. Fireplaces make the place for me... Food is lovely and the cocktails are to die for. Extra star for being pet friendly 👍🏼

Great food and surroundings. Service could be better but was really busy so may have been under staffed. Would still go again

Warm friendly atmosphere, great menu

Lovely staff. Very helpful as my son has loads of allergies. Went the extra mile. Only negative is they didn't have a few things we wanted to order. We will go back. Xxx
A. G.
Super cosy pub. Absolutely great to visit in a cold weather, as they have a big fireplace. But also great to have a refreshing pint after a hot day and spending time the park.

Nice meal.... Dog friendly... Family friendly
L. D. (. F.
The food is absolutely divine and the staff who served us were friendly and didn't mind that we were a bit chatty. The food and drink are inexpensive and it has a cosy, homely feel to it.
J. L.
The pub itself is beautiful and they have a decent enough selection of beers etc. The food however can be hit and miss. One day you go and the food and table service is top notch and the next a complete let down. It's been like that a few times now
J. H.
Beer, food and staff were fine but it was absolutely freezing, even with the fire going. We all had to put our coats on. Would go back but probably in the summer!
K. D.
Went in a couple a weeks ago as my grandad wanted to go some where nice. Looked really nice on the side. Service was really good and so was the food
J. B.
Very nice outside area, covering from rain, solid drink selection, overall great place to break the quarantine.
R. H.
GReat setting for family or friends get togethers. The place is really cosy in the winter when they have to log fires burning. It is excellently positioned adjacent to tropical world and the park and allows you to work up an appetite and a thirst before dining. Food is good and there are some good beer selections on offer.
R. M.
Nice friendly staff. Menu prices ok. But on the day we visted the service was slow and the food when we got it was not as hot as it should have been.
E. P.
Met a friend for evening meal here. Food was delicious, excellent service and fantastic value for money. Evening rounded off with great Irish coffee. Highly recommend 😀😀😀😀😀

Lovely country feel pub. Big & roomy for social distancing.
Nice clean bathroom & ladies loos.
Food tasty.

extremely friendly place that has full wheelchair access and accepts dogs in the bar area. if you're booking a table and you're bringing dogs, make sure to let them know :)
K. G.
Superb service from James. The food was absolutely fantastic and service was outstanding as usual. We were lucky to have a live music performance. Absolutely amazing evening.

Went with my friend after visiting tropical world as it was so close, the decor and atmosphere were beautiful felt so nice and homely, the food was perfect and the staff were amazing particularly Benjy thanks so much !!!
d. c.
Service staff were good but the food was barely warm.
P. T.
A pub whose trade relies on its location next to the park.
Interior is slowly growing more shabby.
Guest beer selection is good and rotates frequently
M. L.
Well organised covid pub, with good grub inside or outside. App to order, very efficient!
J. B.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food good. Very clean and Covid secure
S. B.
Came for a pit stop while out walking the park with friends, sat outside to remain covid safe and felt at ease throughout our visit. Thank you
S. B.
This has always been a charming pub and with some nice meals 👍🏻

Although we were a large group (and perhaps a little rowdy and drunk) the staff were very accommodating and we're very tolorant! Excellent work and I don't think I would of been so polite to our group!

Nice food and staff coped brilliantly given they were a member down. Still smiling through a very busy lunch service.

Absolutely the best pub in Leeds! Magic atmosphere, special beers and friendly staff. I'll be back every time i get to Leeds! Cheers...preferably with an Abbeydale💪🦉😉

The Fox serves good food and beer, the open fire is welcome. Phone reception is bad. The beer garden round the back is nice in the summer.

We went here for our Christmas staff meal. It was very nice, portions a little small for the price we paid but the quality was good.

Nice food

The food was over priced and over cooked. The staff were friendly but I wouldn't eat here again - I would however call for drinks next time I visit the park

Really great, freshly prepared traditional pub food. One of my favourites in Leeds, try get a spot next to the fires in winter!

Nice place to relax with friends and family after a walk in the park. Can get busy on a sunny day so would advise to book in advance if you want to eat here

Nice local pub, very close to the park too. So you can burn off the calories from dinner. Well worth a visit
