Double jd and coke was cheap have a personal connection to the tommy glad its still got some of the locals and wish all the best for the future may pop in again see of the plaque on the floor has been polised ... fond memorys of cleaning it

Great local pub, always a great atmosphere and music! Staff great including the landlady Sheila. Couldn't disagree more with the low reviews! The place has really changed in the last year or so and for the better, something for people who want to watch sport and something for people who want a weekly quiz, music etc. Well worth a trip

Had a great night last night at the charity quiz! The pub was decorated amazingly gor the jubilee, the drinks were flowing the place was filled with laughter and it was a fantastic atmosphere! The land lady Sheila was friendly, helpful and it was quick to get to the bar. A great night and we shall certainly be returning for more quiz nights!!!

Clean and tidy with helpful, pleasant staff behind the bar. Visited when there was an organised recruitment event taking place, so pub was buzzing, but the locals were getting involved in the events taking place. Very welcoming pub,with nice outdoor area and great range of drinks.

Nice pub . Quite a few locals visit Half decent ales although I'm not entirely sure the quality is there consistently. Can usually get a seat. They have a Large TV screen. Eaten here once and it was decent. Bouncers on door during busy times. Loads parking. Can't go wrong for a local. Update 110522 good Carling, loads TVs, relaxed, friendly bar staff, cannot fault it.

The landlady that has taken over,is doing a lovely job of turning the place around. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The pizzas are great too.

Good beer at good prices. Quick service and friendly staff. Now take contractors. No food. Sky and BT sports. Karaoke on Friday nights ruins watching sport (no commentary on sometimes) and is way way TOO LOUD. Calls itself a sports bar!

It's an okay pub. The crowd can get a little rowdy and I don't like the fact that they don't take card (if going out for a drink you should be able to take card so you don't lose your cash). The beers are reasonably priced though and it seems to be the only typical pub in the area.

Lively local pub. Have been going here for many years. Good selection of pints. They do events on certain days such as pub quiz. Note - They don't take card payments.

Been going for quite a few years now, it's a proper local. The regulars are a friendly bunch and even though there seems to be a high turnover of staff, the staff are a good bunch. However, over the past year or so it seems to be attracting more and more idiots, usually big groups of lads who never come to the pub often and act like ********s to randomers just minding their own business...obviously they got bored of Banyan down the road.

Note this pub is definitely open. Great for watching sport. Plenty of screens. Pool table. Had 4 good ales on - Landlord, Leeds Pale, York Guzzler and a guest. 2 pints for £5.20. Very reasonably priced! Atmosphere was friendly enough. Warning - the pub is a CASH ONLY pub. No cards are accepted. Yes, I know it's 2016!

A nice pub with a decent range if beers, lagers etc. Whilst it is nice to have a games area the pool table takes up a lot of space and that was a bit of an issue when the pub was rammed full on Boxing Day though probably isn't at other times.

You can't knock the good selection of cheap ales. But the pub is not 'couple friendly' as you cannot escape from the TVs. It was nicer when there was the separate seating area with no TVs

The ability to pay for drinks using cards may be a feature permanently closed to the Thomas Osborne, but I can testify that the pub itself does indeed remain open, although in probability not permanently, despite the recent relaxation of licensing laws. Decent selection of ales to be had at very reasonable prices.
