Reviews of The Turk's Head

Chilled out relaxing bar. Decent selection of beers. Outside seating in yard. Liked it.
A. D.
Great beer, great service, what more do you want from a pub!
L. R.
It's a nice little boozer and i reckon if I attended an event here - a decent tap takeover for example or a festival - it would be a bit mega. The inside space is dark and cosy and the staff are friendly. If anything it's the beer that lets it down a bit. There was nothing mega on. Nothing I hadn't tried before. I assumed thered be DIPAs and Impys across the board but no. Had an ok Porter. Outside heaters are a half-hearted fudge. They aren't powerful enough to keep you warm so essentially they just waste a lot of energy. All in all I still love the place tbf. Cheers.
E. P.
A bit overrated. We came here as whitelocks was full and apparently they have the same menu.
When we first walked in and up to the bar, the girl working took a solid minute to acknowledge our presence which we found awkward.
This place is small (maybe 8 tables) and decorated more modern than whitelocks, so has none of the charm. It was full so we waited about 15 minutes for a table but were able to order a drink at the bar. There was no system for who was waiting for a table. Service was slow and it felt like she was avoiding eye contact with us.
Food was waayy too big. The pie was ridiculously huge. It could of been half the size so we would have done better to just order that and share it. I felt bad wasting half of it. The chunky chips and seasonal veg were excellent.
Overall I wouldn't recommend it or return.
D. L.
Fabulous bar, excellent beers and cocktails and the food looked great too. Just a lovely, chilled place for a drink where you feel far from the busy city.
C. M. C. (.
Really amazing hidden place. Not your average pub. The interior is very pleasant and the food was amazing. They have a great selection of beers and some special ciders. Great place overall

Came for 50th Birthday meal, all the way from Scunthorpe.
Lovely meal, lovely friendly staff... couldn't do enough for us! Thanks guys & girls.
as the show says....
YOU GOTTA EAT HERE!
J. P.
Nice inside, decent selection, well kept beer and if you're fancying a bit more selection you can go into Whitelocks and mix it up.

My first time visiting The Turk's Head and what an establishment this is 1 of the 2 oldest public house's (a.k.a pub's) in leeds city centre.
The staff was and are friendly, welcoming and always at hand if you need anything at all. I had an axiety attack for the first time in a long time due to it being a busy saturday whilst leeds united was playing.
The food they serve is delicious and caters for vegan's too, i had a gorgeous spiced cauliflower steak with sides to accompany my rosè wine which was a treat and half in itself.
The staff made sure i was alright as well as looked after both in house and smoking area.
Even the door supervisors also did the same and cant fault any one of them.
Truly is a go to place for anybody wether its a quite tipple, meal out with the family (dogs are welcomed) or a meeting point with the girls/lads and even if you have pre-match jitters when your football teams are playing etc.
Highly recommend!
M. P.
Lovely Lunch and a couple of pints of real ale

My favourite little bar! Definitely a hidden gem in Leeds. Super cool vibe whether you’re sat inside or out. Always have a different selection of drinks to choose from and food is always delicious!
D. J.
Great selection of beers, food was good but not great
J. H.
Cozy little pub in the centre of Leeds. Some fantastic staff and great choice of beer. Food is also decent and well priced.
M. L.
Great pub but CARD ONLY payments for some strange reason. Quirky establishment. Good, professional staff.
L. E.
Been here so many times, never disappoints. The staff and food are more than you can ask for! I'd come here time and time again. Along with its older brother.
B. B.
Good atmosphere, bar staff are great. The teams of spirits is good and they serve delicious beers! It's quite small image but that's good because it's cosy, lots more space outside where there are heaters. A little hidden treasure. Only downsides are that it is expensive, but it's a good place to sit and chat with friends.
D. W.
Good food which me and missus enjoyed after a walk around Leeds shopping, also good selection of ales
C. K.
Visited this little bar on several occasions and I absolutely love it for the following reasons! 1. Very nice cosy atmosphere and I really like the design and decor of the room. 2. Fairly nice place to sit outside if the weather is good 3. A great selection of Gins and very talented people there can make you some amazing cocktails!
L. B.
Nice place for a drink

m.
Good beers, lovely steak and a pleasant environment
J. S.
Nice, upscale place. Great decor. Good drinks. The menu isn't extensive but the quality is excellent. Nice if you want to go out at the weekend so a place that isn't rammed with people there to get hammered. Will definitely be going back.
R. R.
Had a great experience here at the Turks head yesterday while on a stag do. We were reasonably well behaved, but the guys were so patient and accommodating - especially arainn (paddy) who was kind enough to take me through all the beautiful craft beers on draft. And yes, I did in fact manage to get through them all- you can tell the quality of beers by the lack of hangover I had this morning! Thanks again for a great day.
J. J.
Pub, mainly gastronomy pub with old pharmacy motif. Very impressive layout in alleyway. Food looks good, great selection of beers and friendly service. Bit on the pricier side but worth a gander.
T. S.
Very tasty craft beers. The food is good but unexceptional: the fish in the fish and chips solid, the breading could have been crispier.
H. H.
Lovely quaint little pub down a back street. Really cool décor inside and a great beer selection. Lovely food, steak was particularly nice.
F. M.
Great cosy atmosphere. Well priced decent beer, not cheap run of the mill stuff. Also had nice fancy pop for non alcohol drinkers
S. M.
Nice cosy place with pretty good collection of beer. The best part of the bar is the walk up the alley n the outdoor seating in the alley. Always love coming here. Thumbs up!!
S. R.
Lovely place, nicely tucked away so not too busy. Great atmosphere and selection of drinks. Lovely outside seating area as well.
G. P.
