Nice atmosphere and cocktails but would never order a pizza here again. Couldnt even call it a pizza it was so thin, it was like eating cheese on paper! Table service is not the best either, would be so much quicker to go up and order rather than wait for the one server to get round every table. Would go again for cocktails though. Ordered white russians which were good.

Lovely bar, very nice staff. But only ‘ok’ cocktails. My wife and I had 5 each - but were near enough stone cold sober. We aren’t big drinkers. Got to wonder how much alcohol was included… nevertheless, we still had a nice time.

Lovely place, setting is comfortable and moody. Pizza was okay, not great. Enjoyed the cocktails I ordered, a lot. My friend and I just found it super annoying that the waiters kept coming to our table with a card machine after every order. We just wanted to chat, eat and drink in peace. We pay when we're done. The worst part of the evening was when we hadn't even started to eat yet and the card machine had appeared yet again at our table while the pizza just sat there getting colder. Did also enjoy the deals: £9 for 2 pizzas and £12 for 2 cocktails!

Thewlis's is a really nice place , the building itself is terrific . We sat outside as it was sunny when we visited . We got two cocktails for £15 Long Island iced teas . They were so good we ordered two more . The service was very efficient . I recommend a visit to Thewlis Cocktail Lounge .

I had my 30th birthday party here and it was the perfect venue. The staff are really accommodating and will make sure everything is as you want it. There is a great selection of drinks and the bar staff are fantastic. It's a classy and sophisticated venue with great music all night long.

Very reasonably priced cocktail lounge in the city centre in a former bank, with original features retained. Possibly the most comprehensive gin menu seen in Leeds. Eponymously named after the local architect responsible for the design of the building. Nice service from friendly staff and off menu creations possible!

Absolute jem of a bar. The last time we went was last Friday. The lady who served us remembered us from a previous visit nothing was too much trouble Best Dark and Stormy we've ever had. A class bar. Easily missed. But we'll worth a visit.

Went around 7pm and was given a choice of seats - went with a booth opposite the bar. Clean venue and had a lovely waitress who knew the menu. Cocktails were on point and hit the spot. Payment was taken on arrival of each round of drinks. Good selection of cocktails on the offers. Central location. Gatsby kind of feel but music was more urban pop.

Good little cocktail lounge. Excellent deals on like 2 for £12 or 2 for £15 on cocktails such as strawberry daiquiris. Would recommend for drinks before dinner. Safety measures in place are good also

Great booths, very comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. If you had a cocktail in mind that was not on the set list they did their best to make it for you. Went in the happy hour and it made great for getting 2 drinks for price of one. Music was great some good oldie classics playing.

Very helpful door staff who found us somewhere to sit on a busy Saturday afternoon. We were a large party so this was much appreciated. Wide selection of drinks, we made the most of the 2 for 1 cocktails as we were on a hen do. Nice atmosphere in the bar, wasn't too busy and drinks were made quickly and at times staff provided table service which was handy for those of us that couldn't not easily get to the bar.

Had a cocktail masterclass with Leah. Leah made our afternoon nothing was too much trouble and it was a relaxed affair , and we were not rushed through making the coctails which give my group time to chat. Leah was very knowledgeable and the cocktails we made were yummy. I would definitely go back again. Thewlis bar was relaxed, good music and clean unlike other bars on the same street. We hosted a drinks event here in December. The venue is lovely and the team were extremely helpful both before and at the event. The food platters were excellent too.

Fast friendly service with a great selection of cocktails and as the designated driver the non alcoholic beer was great too.
