Visited here on Christmas day for a meal. Staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us. Food was fresh and tasty, even my daughter who is a fussy eater ate the roast potatoes which was a first. This was a first time we'd ever booked to go somewhere for Christmas dinner and we were not disappointed and can't wait to book again next year.

We had the Festive Fare at Traveller Rest and it was very nice. The food was delicious and very filling. The pub is very friendly as are the lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The pub and staff are really welcoming and go out of their way to make sure everything is ok for their customers whether regulars or new customers. Will definitely be back again.

Came in for some food with my family which included 2 young children. The food and service was lovely but as for the annoying people on the next table well that was something else. They were very loud and the language was disgusting. They were shouting to others on a different table and had no consideration for anyone else in the building. I would have thought that the staff would have said something to them because there was other children in the building as well.

Delicious food as usual. My grandma really enjoyed the seniors menu and felt it was very good value. Bit of a shame the machine for soft drinks was broken but obviously can't be helped and still had bottles of pop to have instead

Excellent service and food as always, friendly staff who always make us feel very welcome. We came in Wednesday night for a meal which was very good. I had the chilli cheese burger and my partner had the topped chips and some chicken strips. Wednesday was quiz night which was interactive with lots of games and prizes (we will definitely be back again for this). The only thing i would change is i would have it closer to my house. Definitely recommend.

We visited here Christmas Eve for a family get together meal, we had pre-booked although I did have to make a few changes to the booking leading up to the meal (party numbers/food choices) but nothing was too much trouble. Went last Monday for lunch with family, staff were very welcoming. Lunch was lovely (as usual) then some friends arrived so stayed a bit longer. Felt very safe and the whole place was very clean. Called in at the weekend for some lunch and as usual it was lovely , friendly staff and felt safe now that the restrictions have lifted. The pub is always clean and I love the outside area. Think I will be popping in here more often.

Came up yesterday with my son for some lunch. Had some dinner and a few games of pool. Really enjoyed myself and i was glad to see that some of the pub still has a larger distance between the tables which i think is an excellent idea- will definitely be bringing my mum up as i still feel very safe even though restrictions are now lifted. Been in many pubs over the pandemic and i must say joanne holly and the team have all adhered to the rules the best i have seen. Stall are ways a pleasure to see and always so professional and efficient. Cannot wait to come back

Lovely staff , very welcoming, we ordered chicken skewers which we sent back due to being under cooked so we asked to put them under again, they came back still under cooked so we left them. Other that that everything else was spot on.

We have eaten here a number of times mostly in a group of four to eight and have never been disappointed. The food has always been lovely and what's more we have all had our food delivered more or less at the same time so we can comfortably eat together. The menu us varied and reasonably priced, we would eat here again. A small note...sometimes it takes a while to get served at the bar

Got tickets for a tribute act with a meal included for £9.99. Didn't know what to expect for that price. It turned out to be a very good deal. The meal was really nice. Although the act was 1 hour late due to car problems. He turned out to be good. For the price a really good afternoon out and will definitely go again

Steady away and quick polite service Only issue I'd have is it feels bit cliquey and while staff are sound there is an element that frequent the pub that are both intimidating and very quick to speak to a stranger and make one feel uncomfortable. Pub and staff are fine but my advise would be to keep oneself to oneself.

It's the only place for miles around where they are dog-friendly it's the only place for miles around where you can take your dog in also if you take the dog into the dining area you can sit and order a meal without being told no dogs allowed excellent service staff a friendly there's never any trouble in the pub it's great for having the kids they're as well there is no place in town centre where I can take my dog in and have a meal etc whenever I decide to go out for a few pints or something to eat that is the place to go.......

Genuinely lovely little pub, clean and well presented on the outside and inside also. The men's toilets leave a fair bit to be desired however, par for the course these days unfortunately. Food was decent, typical pub grub really, nothing to shout about but £9 for a burger with sides (1L of petrol in 2023?) who's complaining? You get what you pay and you pay what you get. All in all a pleasant experience, staff were very nice and the carpets didn't attempt to steal my shoes. I'll definitely be returning, if they'll have me. 😂
