Reviews of Wetherspoons
M. N.
Just outside the train station, there is inside seating and outside seating. Did not see the qr code to order the table service. Always busy as usual as they offer competitive prices on all the drinks and food. Sometimes did feel there wasn’t enough staff, as tables had considerable amount of used glasses and ordering in person took a significant amount of time.
G. G.
A nice little Witherspoon's, perfect for a drink or two before you catch your train. Breakfast 🍳☕🍞 always on point. Quite a few seats outside. You might struggle for a sear at weekends and on Leeds United match day's. Friendly staff as per being a friendly Yorkshire City. Deco looking a bit tired. Definitely worth a visit ⭐⭐⭐⭐
O. T.
Everything you'd expect from a Wetherspoons except in a more compact box. Decent place to sit whilst waiting for your train or meeting friends before the night/day out. Friendly atmosphere on the whole and staff are very attentive considering how busy it can get.
G. M.
Nice having a Wetherspoons in the train station. It has good service as well as having decent prices for food and drinks. Though the main reason why it gets 4 stars out of 5 is because it still opens at 8 instead of 6:30am. In that department the staff don’t seem to care.
M. K.
Quite busy at breakfast time but staff coped very well, only one coffee machine working & the milk had run out in the other machine this was remedied once the staff were made aware. Toilets very clean, staff also asked if everything was OK and swiftly cleared the table, the table was very sticky,I believe that is down to the antibacterial spray they use.
C. R.
Had a great time....service really good...busy but not packed...
J. R.
I've been visiting this place ever since I started using the train as a means of transportation (because I don't have a car anymore, RIP Fiesta).
The service is good, and being a Spoons you can order to the table using the app. This is a must for me, as I don't want to shuffle my corpulent body to the bar once I've sat down. The waiter on my last visit was pleasant, and kinda reminded of my friend (sorry, mild acquaintance), Swigs.
There are bouncers on the door which is always reassuring. One person tried walking in with a crate of beer on his shoulder, but the eagle-eyed bouncer spotted this and told him to leave it by the door. When the guy left, he tried picking up the crate for it split open, dropping bottles on the floor. I laughed, because he is now down about 3 bottles of beer. The staff were very quick to clear up the spillage.
There is a pleasant smoking area outside, meaning you can batter your lungs with not only cigarette smoke, but particulates from the idling taxis outside.
All in all, I rate this place because I enjoy nothing better than people-watching whilst drinking a pint of cheap but nice ale and eating peanuts. There were also a few decorative pigeons walking around the area, but I'm not sure if these are property of the Wetherspoon.
It would have got 5*, but they have a limited food menu, so don't be expecting any of the delicious garly b's that Spoons pride themselves with.
Thanks for taking the time to read this review.

We had breakfast this morning which the majority of was cold apart from sausage and hash browns. Disappointed with breakfast. We've just had chicken tikka masala when we returned to the station on our return and it was very nice.
G. H.
Can't beat a wetherspoons. Good atmosphere, busy but staff managed well so we didnt wait long to be served. As always great prices
S. B.
Nice little spot that makes a longer wait for a train much more pleasant. If the weather is good there’s there’s a small outdoor section but the indoor tables are all clean and staff friendly. Everything else is pretty on-par with what you expect with the chain, but for me it wins with the great location.
M. R. R.
My experience of Wetherspoons is what you would expect, food is nice, drinks are nice. Staff always friendly. Price is right. Place is warm.
Never an issue for me
K. W.
Had breakfast here on 3 occasions. Always managed to get a seat and staff are friendly. Extensive and inexpensive breakfast menu with vegetarian options. Only downsides were. the food was not always that hot and tables needed to be cleared and cleaned a lot quicker. Situated inside Leeds Station.
D. H.
Great breakfast with a bottomless coffee great value.
One of the most comfortable waiting room in any train station in tge UK that I know of.
S. W.
This Wetherspoons is in the station complex so very convenient for the trains. Reasonable selection of handpump beers in good condition. Slightly cheeper than I was expecting given the location.
C. A.
Quite small inside for a busy Saturday.
Breakfast however served very quick and was lovely.
G. H.
Staff are spot on, always working hard, food and drinks offer fantastic value for money, this is a stand out Wetherspoons
M. B.
Would rather have sat outside but was to 🚬 went inside it was really nicely lad out and found comfortable area to sit and eat food was fantastic and drinks reasonably priced.
S. R.
Food and drink are good often stop here to eat waiting for a train. The service is good. Toilets are clean.
M. A.
Always try and have a pint here when changing trains. A good transient cliental and atmosphere. Quick and efficient service.
F. M.
Great pub, can be very busy at times, but always nice to call for a drink before catching the train home.
C. P.
Smells a lit better than it used to. Staff were on the ball and friendly. Good value.
L. H.
First time drinking in leeds, came in here straight from the train on a Monday. Nice and clean, a good long bar area plenty of seating (also outside), staff friendly enough. Good choice of beers as usual and of course ideal for the train.
m. b.
Definitely not the cleanest of places but hey its a Spoons at the city train station!!! Some very colourful characters there!!!
E. G.
Nice sun trap in beer garden.... cheap drinks and great to be able to use the app to order drinks to your table 🙂
A. S.
Bang average for a Pub is pretty much rammed with people which can be explained due to being located at a train station but overall Is a bang average spoonies
C. H.
It's a small spoons, and with it being in the station it can fill up very quickly. The staff are great and the service is always quick.
Well worth it for a swift pint whilst waiting for a train or meeting friends.
A. W.
Busy with it being in a train station but great service and nice food
G. M.
Perfect. Great food. Great service. Excellent value for money.
D. F.
Like most wetherspoons, good cheap alcohol and reasonably priced food if you need any
T. N.
Lovely interior, building is beautiful. Food was delightful however the bacon on the breakfast was mediocre. Needs improvement. Bloody brexit taking my Danish bacon away. Bacon is good for me. Staff were nice though, thanks.
M. t.
Love this Wetherspoon's always get served relatively quickly even when it's really busy and a great location too
M. B.
Very good breakfast good value for money would highly recommend 👌
T. S.
Went for breakfast before we went shopping, the breakfast was hot and fresh and the staff were so friendly. Thankyou
I. E. P. G.
The free refills is a brilliant idea especially at the train station, good coffee too
M. E.
Very cheap and cheerful spot on for a beer and a meal the coffee is a bonus aswell 😋
S. R.
Fast service but food luke warm why can't they get there food out hot, my blackpudding and coffee was hotter than by breakfast
g.
Cheap and cheerful and a good selection of ales great staff as well
l. s.
One of the more pleasant of this pub chain I've visited, staff friendly and competent, tables cleared immediately, only had a small breakfast which was ok, not so keen on the sausage apart from the meal being a bit on the cool side (served on a cold plate) have no complaints. I would visit again if in Leeds.
B. W.
Popular spot at Leeds station can get very busy, food and drinks are the usual Wetherspoons fare I don't think you can go wrong for the money
T. O.
People coming and going for trains but still gives good service.
N. B.
Great place to meet up when you're going out in Leeds and waiting for offcumdens to arrive on the train
G. T.
Arrived after a train journey from Worsley so starving. Egg Butty with hash brown and a good cuppa filled the gap. Very quick service despite the place being crowded. Lots of contract guys enjoying a traditional fry up.
T. F.
busy little bar handy for the station plenty of outdoor seating always busy but service food and beer is top notch -- arise Sir Timothy
C. G.
Table service was good, staff rushed and some hygiene practices missed. On a good note toilets are on same floor
D. J.
Small compact , but extremely busy , outside area again heaving but it was a Saturday
P. Y.
Popular (visited at 1740) and it's a relatively small Wetherspoons so limited seating on my stop. There is additional seating area outside front of pub. 3 local real ales on tap + usual array of national ales, lagers etc.
Staff very good. Helpful.
Clean Wetherspoons throughout.
B. S.
Small for a Wethers and showing its age. Usual choice of food & drink with quick service let down by the state of the furniture (inside).
A. U.
Good priced beer but could do with a good clean .
M. F. &. P.
Staff very pleasant food is quick despite being busy hour… only negative is we should have wheelchair access straight from the zebra crossing rather than having to walk around the tables
G. F.
Packed but staff working hard to serve people. Not so busy this time a little more comfortable
S. W.
Great service, friendly staff, food was great.. no complaints
G. D.
Quick service and not bad beer when you've just stepped off a train.
M. J.
It's a typical spoons. But has decent staff and a roof terrace to boot!
D. L.
Wetherspoons is my favourite. I also like what Tim Martin has achieved with so many pubs closing. He's done what other brewery chains should have done years ago and that's "LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS"...Tim Martin did and see how he has changed the industry...
J. S.
Clean and friendly, good outdoor area, fast service
k. b.
Good meet up place, good selection of drinks at a reasonable price.
T. C.
Perfect meeting spot with being in the train station but fairly devoid of atmosphere
A. C.
It's fine. It's Wetherspoons in a train station. What more can you expect while you have one last pint before the train home? There's ample selection of beer and spirits and enough weirdos to make up background characters in One Flew Over Thd Cuckoo's Nest
M. T.
Great choice of beverages and helpful staff good atmosphere
N. H.
Ever the busy spoons, good service, other than the tables need clearing more promptly and those doors need to automatically close especially now it's cold. The only available spot to sit was near the doors, freezing!
D. “. S.
Cracking boozer great beer food & staff in an amazing position on leeds Station...Will return.
P. B.
It's a Wetherspoons, decent food and drink that won't empty your bank balance too much. Good attentive staff at this Leeds train station one.
R. S.
Not bad for a station Spoons. Staff were friendly and polite. Beer is a reasonable price. Limited seating outside with a little more inside
A. B.
Visit to spoons this evening was very good indeed. After a warm polite welcome at the door I had a fairly standard jacket potato with chilli and cheese. What made the visit mentionable was the attentive staff who checked back twice throughout the course of the meal with jokes or pleasantries. Admittedly it was a quiet Tuesday evening but it was appreciated nonetheless. So while the food wasn't amazing, the friendly atmosphere and service compensated above and beyond
C. P.
Not very often I would give a wetherspoons a 5 star (sorry guys!) But this place was good!
Table was quickly cleared from the last people, food was good and drinks lovely. Location was also fab!
P. G.
A pint of Yorkshire Gold for £2.59 before the train back to London. Yes please.
A. A.
In Leeds station good place to meet if you arrive on different trains
R. N.
Cheap food and drink, perfect for a first stop, off the train
F. F.
Typical spoons, gets busy because of location, food cheap and filling but enjoyable, cheap for hangover breakfast needs
D. M.
It's a Wetherspoons. Great choice of beer, friendly staff.
T. R.
Poor breakfast always cold and not cooked nice
B. L.
Great value for money, lovely food. The place is great even when busy. Will come again.
M. G.
It's a railway station 'spoons so don't expect The Ritz. In its defence, there are a good selection of beers and the prices are reasonable.
L. H.
A bit crowded but enjoyed the food and drinks
S. H.
Good food hot and cooked for once and not reheated friendly staff
M. W.
Cheap as chips pub. Good range of beers and good food.
J. P.
Sat out on the terrace. Tried to order on the app. Couldn't access the real ales to add to the meal. Had to get a waiter to take the order.
Food was good. Ale was ok, but as seems to happen a lot the cask ran out after one pint. Nobody able to change in a hurry therefore had to change beers. Most frustrating, but
typical of Wethers. Pay peanuts, you get monkeys, as the saying goes.
Had to ask for the table to be cleared of the 6 or 7 glasses left on there by previous customers.
When ordering the young lady couldn't get the Yorkshire Gold ale on the tablet. Had to order Toolbar, and change at the bar. Not exactly reassuring.
All in all, enjoyed the food. The beer was ok. Second pint keg not cask. 3 stars, could do better.
M. T.
Love weatherspoons good food and drinks at reasonable prices
A. C.
Really handy pub if you have a bit of a wait in Leeds station, we noticed on our recent visit that they have reduced the price of the drinks too so we're very pleased.
S. b.
Ordered at the table food and drink came quickly..
T. D.
Nicely situated in the station, food was good at at a reasonable price. App would not work on phone so went to counter to place order. Very busy.
A. D.
Very busy pub staff very friendly great priced beers
L. B.
OK to call here for a couple .
Have to wait ages to be served puts you off a bit.
T. M.
I'm not really a wetherspoons fan but this one was really good x food was lovely and piping hot x the guy who served us couldn't have been more helpful and kind x great place to wait for the train x
L. C.
Very safe lovely staff always there to make sure your happy food excellent one of my favourite places to go
D. C.
Cant be beat. Great place to start your day or night. Always busy but no problem getting service love it
P. D.
Very busy but was ok for a quick visit
D. _.
It's a 'Spoons. Cheapish beer and you know what you'll be getting!
J. S.
Good pub...Good atmosphere...Good beer. What more could I want?
a. P.
Best value drinks and food
T. E.
Friendly staff. Bottomless coffee. Good food. Leeds Central Station.
S. J.
Just like any other spoons but smaller and crowded most of the times.
T. T.
Managed to get seated quickly being about 10ish great friendly staff we all ordered breakfast only 1 niggle 2 of the eggs from 1 was over cooked I said change it but he wasn't bothered and left them.
M. W.
Great if you're travelling and don't want to pay dear for coffee (free refills!) etc on the station itself. Gets heavy use though so toilets aren't the best and there's always a few old guys drinking beer no matter how early or late it is. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food and coffee usual reliability and cheap.
N. K.
I was not impressed by the service behind the bar, loads of staff but hardly anyone serving at times. I had a chicken curry and the chicken was really hard, everything else was ok.
m. s.
The pub was actually closed for refurbishment while Google stated open
J. F.
Very busy at lunchtime. Just had coffee on this occasion.
P. D.
This is a place for drinking, quality is very high and price is reasonable. Food can be wrongly presented, as with a cold plate, when a grilled breakfast is cold before it arrives.
T. H.
Always pleased to help you and look after you nice service
R. E. P.
What can I say: good value, convenient location. Polite and efficient staff, very pleased with everything here. Highly recommended. Will be going again when I'm in Leeds.
M. S.
Good drinks at great prices with the offer they have on x
I. H.
I always love visiting this Weatherspoons, it's a great place to go and very convenient.
J. B.
Decent pub with plenty of Real Ales on tap.
K. D.
As always everything was perfect, even though they were quite busy , service was spot on and when I started booking through the app , WOW!!! , how quick . Absolutely fantastic.
L. M.
Breakfast food not hot , had to send sandwich back
H. B.
Best Wetherspoons breakfast ever. Me and my partner both got the freedom breakfasts with specific adjustments and additions and it all came out perfect. Fast service. Lovely staff. Food cooked beautifully. Now this might be because I come from a small "city" and usually the people at Wetherspoons there aren't as enthusiastic about their jobs or whatever but yes, this is my favourite spoons now
J. L.
Had 1 pint of 7% cider whilst waiting for my train and now I'm a bit squiffy, about 15 minutes later. I recommend it. I can't recall the name; it was in Welsh.
R. S.
Good food clean good service good prices
D. F.
Great value. Quick service. Ideal stop off between trains!
W. Y.
Very busy, but got our food and drink fairly quickly, very tasty, good service
A. G.
1st visit to this particular JDW pub while working in Leeds. Service was very efficient and food was enjoyable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Fairly quiet as out of the main city centre attached to Leeds central station. Nice place to relax with outdoor seating area as well. I will call in again when next in the area.
J. M. K.
Run of the mill pub grub. Average food and cheap prices. You pay for what you get.
G. J.
Value for money. Clea. Tidy. Staff helpful when sorting a gluten free breakfast
R. B.
It's ok.. Always someone sat in. Cheap enough Grog!
A. E.
Always buzzing here with groups coming and going, all to enjoy Leeds city centre vibrant day and night life.
D. L.
Food OK nice go have one in a train ststion Leeds.
C.
Fast service for a busy bar. The chap who served me had 3 orders in hand, dealt with all brilliantly and kept his smile. Cameron was the chap who served me twice. As an ex cocktail barman i can assure you this chap is very good. The owners would do well to recognize his abilities.
P. S.
Great meeting place and beer too
R. T.
Friendly staff and great food and drink at a sensible price
S. K.
Very busy place. Staff run off of their feet. Could do with more staff
G. F.
1st 1 of day after getting of train in leeds great place to start
L. L. (.
Great for a pint and has a nice outside drinking area so even better in summer. Very popular so can be a little busy at times. If you're off anywhere for the day on the train - stop here for a drink first!
g. w.
Good meeting place and plenty of beer options
R. M.
Friendly attentive staff something was missing from my meal the young lady team leader quickly sorted it and brought the missing item out to me. It's right in the train station so very convenient for a sit down and quick burger or something whilst waiting for a train. It is quite a small one so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but nothing major. There is outdoor seating at the front overlooking the car park and semi-outdoor seating out the back (in the walkway of the station) but it's like pigeon central so would avoid. Bare in mind being a smaller spoons they operate a smaller, slightly more expensive (?) Menu. Guess it lacks the character you might get in other spoons where they have a history about the building and stuff but what can you expect when it's in the middle of a train station. Comfortable and Would go again.
m. d.
Love wetherspoons, reasonable prices nice food and friendly staff.
F. M.
Happy to be out. Couldn't work out the app - got table service. Happy with that. Just a quick visit, was a good prelude to the rest of the evening.
K. S.
Normally good experience but this time hardly any beers on, very poor. Food was however a positive.
D. W.
Packed with festival goers so noisy with dirty tables at 10.30am. Staff were rushed off their feet, but service was quick.
S. P.
There is nothing wrong with the venue and it seemed very well set up for the current situation. The problem was the lack of food, considering it was the last day of 'help out, eat out' and a bank holiday, no burgers and very few from the deli section available, we left to eat elsewhere.
A. L.
Really busy so you can struggle to get a seat, but it has a friendly, bustling atmosphere. This is a great location to stop off after or before a train ride, start your pub crawl, recover from shopping, just fancy a drink for no reason, or even get some food at a decent price. There is a space outside for smokers but it tends to be right in the line of wind so you'll feel cold or freezing generally; inside is always toasty warm👍
G. C.
Great service..great selection of beers.. not tried the but it looks goods..
D. A.
It was decent, a little quieter than usual, you'll be paying extra because it's close to the station (In the same building) but if you want a quick pint it's alright, bit busy normally though. Not sure what the food is like but the beer is good
C. H.
Didn't realise the day I visited was the 25% off scheme. Food and drink ordered and payed for via the app.
Food still upto standard was delicious and didn't weight to long. From entering Wetherspoons in Leeds government guide lines where adhered to the by staff and visitors
L. W.
Love weatherspoons friendly staff food a bit hit and miss I think it depends on the cook but good value for money but did hear he was raising his prices that would possibly be a big mistake I wouldn't pay any more than I am for food and drink
M.
Always clean and tidy staff work so hard but needs to be more of them . Took 15 minutes to change John smiths barrel ?
M. G.
Tidy place helpfull staff not bad for a weatherspoon s handy for trains
R. H.
Very crowded and not much of a food menu
D. H.
Very handy for any one traveling
c.
Went for breakfast midweek. The service was quick and efficient. We had the breakfast deal which included bottomless coffee. The food and coffee were delicious. Lots of tables and everything on the ground floor, including the toilets. That isn't the case later on when the place gets packed, however.
M.
Great place to stop for refreshments 🍺 while you're waiting for a connecting train
P. D.
Proper busy, proper packed very handy micro Wetherspoons pub at Leeds station. It's not even a pub really it's a unit converted to a bar with tables.
Still makes a much more fun waiting room for your late running train, than the official alternative. It is what it is... A great place for a quick drink.
R. C.
Pleasant atmosphere prices good
J. Y.
Poor choice of beers on day of visit. Food as you would expect. Nice chatty staff.
D. F.
No food on offer after 9 ish so all you can get is packet of crisps. And early in the week most beers are off.
C. A.
This place would have got 5 stars if the ladies toilets were in a better condition. They were worse than the Three Hulatts in Chapel A before the refurb, and that's saying something!
Apart from the revolting toilets, the bar service was good and with had a friendly atmosphere.
C. S.
It was a pit stop before the train journey, very busy and a lot if tables dirty but good atmosphere.
C. C.
I finally got a table and had some time before my train so had an all day breakfast and a gin and slim line. Was fab. They need more tables in there! Lots of people awaiting tables. I have walked
out many times as no tables available
A. K. N.
Nice breakfast options.
M. F.
It's OK, with a 'spoons you know what you are going to get and this 'spoons seems to deliver consistently. It's busy at times, because it's at the station and a swift pint before or after a journey is always a good idea. It's also a great meeting point and a great place to sit and just watch the world go by.
I didn't eat, but the menu looks, as promised, Eclectic, but there was a good selection of all kinds of beer which appeared to be well looked after including a couple of dark beers which I enjoyed.
I didn't come across any of the less pleasant aspects of the place as mentioned by other reviewers, but I was there for an hour early on a Thursday evening in winter and just sat and enjoyed the beer and the world and people going by. Good place to do just that.
J. J.
An excellent after work pub for the working public in and around Leeds city center and Wellington place offices. We generally gather around after work and also after any major releases at work. They have got excellent bargain deals on food and alcohol. Vegan options as well for those who want that. Excellent to spend time with friends!!!
A. G. (.
Busy on a Friday afternoon with regulars and commuters popping in for a drink. Excellent range of beers and lagers at great prices. The service is always good and the staff friendly and helpful.
There is a pleasant outside seating area which can be enjoyed when the weather is better.
p. l.
Simply one of the best weatherspoon's places in England or UK in general. I have been in there many times and i feel marvelous as soon as i come and order a drink!😀 seriously! Staff is cool and very easy going well done! I would recomend this place to my friends and family for sure.
B. F.
Good food and good prices, very busy and noisy but it is at a train station!
m. w.
Good beer at an excellent price.
B. W.
Went for lunch and had the chilli. It was really good and big portion. Good prices and promotions on. Would recommend this place. Staff were friendly and explained social distancing.
H. S.
I've always thought this is pretty solid. I've only been to two Wetherspoons train station pubs and this is the better one, beer is well kept and okay priced for the location. Never had the food here but it's good for a drink before a train or if you've just got off a train.
A. B.
A lot of the items on the menu were out of stock. No low/no alcohol beers at all!! Other items out of stock too. Instead of eating and having a drink, I just had a drink and left. Very disappointed!!
M. W.
Located in the Train station so a great start to the day for Breakfast and a few pints before the cricket.
S. S.
Great place to meet up off the train and serves decent priced ales and food at the right time to nosh in.
D. J.
There was very little food on the menu not the staffs fault a freezer had broken usually enjoy going to witherspoons but not on this occasion
K. P.
Didn't go in but what I saw from the outside it looked liked a very good place to have a cuppa with your friends.
I guess I recommend visiting here if you want a sarnie before getting on the train.
(Does this place actually sell sarnies and tea?)
C. S.
I love this pub. At Leeds in the station. If we can get a seat we stop off for drinks On a visit. It is nearly always very busy. N it's got a great attmoshere the booze n. food very good value.
m.
It's wetherspoons, cheap and cheerful, also very clean
A. S.
Early evening Tuesday = Weatherspoons steak night. Which came on a sizzling skillet, plenty of onions, large mushroom, grilled tomato, side dishes of peas & chips, with 8oz steak and drink. Great value. The Black Prince retains a grand glass dome ceiling, interesting period interior. Friendly staff too. No complaints from me.
C. P.
Friendly staff food was good
S. T.
Nice relaxing place to be before travelling
G. S. (.
Can't really fault it. Generally friendly staff. Fantastic selection of ales, most of which are at great prices. Would like to see the list on a screen behind the bar though as a peak times it's a struggle to know what's on and what the percentage is. Seating is great although you can struggle to get a table at peak times. Always a large, eclectic turnover of people as it's one of the train station bars. It has some outside seating too although that can get really busy. Highly recommended .
a. b.
Bit busy and ppl try to push in but staff where good even when they are busy like on match days
M. S.
I consider my self as a person with a good taste. But still I really like some food here even though it is frozen and than is coming thru microwave. But wings are really good :), cookie dough is amazing. I recommend 3 plates deal. It's very fat, and unhealthy. But let's be honest that's what ppl like.
M. P.
Typical spoons, however did get kicked out because we knew other people the establishment, we wasn't mixing groups, wasn't being roudy or shouting, the "floor manager" realised we knew another group and that was enough for us to get kicked out
J. H.
This is truly 5 stars if you take it for what it is. A quick, cheap, and good place to drink and eat.
I had the vegetarian Wellington and it really blew me away! The flavor was amazing, the mashed potatoes were delicious, and the garden peas were perfectly cooked. I'd post a photo but I are it so fast I forgot! Came out piping hot and quick too.
The atmosphere is that of ransoms and travelers but if you're looking to stay in budget and eat/drink heartily then this is your spot.
T. S.
Good place well kept but more costly than high Street spoons (railway station rents?)
G. H.
Staff very pleasant and helpful,
R. C.
In the past the food has been excellent but our last visit (24/8/2018) we found the food average and slightly over priced. On the plus side the 2 for 1 cocktails are good value. I must commend the staff who were quick to replace our drinks when someone knocked them over.
M. R.
Very busy Spoons at Leeds railway station. Been going in for years. An excellent meeting place for friends coming from other towns with it been in the railway station. I didn't know this but it's more expensive than other Spoons pubs in Leeds due in part to its location I'm told. Still cheaper than most other drinking establishments. Does attract the undesirables at times but this is, from my experience dealt with swiftly by the pub/station staff or the BTP.
R. J. C.
Great night out with colleagues from work.. A bit busy to start with, but table ordering is a godsend..
As the night progressed, we expanded more and had a really good night there..
Not the cheapest, but everyone had a great night and we're all looking forward to our next night out..
j. a.
Very busy as it's right next to Leeds train station bar was very busy served pretty quickly considering. Food arrived at a reasonable time and was really nice. Will definitely be using again
A. K.
Very friendly quick service even with a full pub ideal b4 your train journey
K. S.
Great place well busy
B. H.
Handy for station, good beer
P.
Your typical run of the mill Wetherspoons. Can't understand why some give Camra discount with vouchers and card. This is voucher only
K. T.
Great place to go to pass time as your waiting for your train, nice breakfast or dinner washed down with a nice drink #loveallwetherspoonsme
S. R.
Wetherspoons are justifiably identical no matter where they're found. This one is no different, with fast service on alcohol and good quality food for an adequate price, you can't expect more. During busy times it can be busy with people waiting for trains, but drink and food still comes at a fast and reasonable time. I would highly recommend the app if you're lucky enough to get a seat to avoid waiting at the bar, but the indoor seating is fairly limited.
M. S.
Went for food had a big breakfast and two out of 3 of us wasn't well later in the day as that was all we had to eat all that day had to be that . Normally the breakfast are good value but won't be having another for a long time sorry wasn't good not been well 🤢
T.
A quick drink and a 5 bean chilli before a night out is a must !!
D. G.
Busy place, one of the cheaper places to visit in Leeds.
T. H.
A conveniently situated within Leeds railway station this pub is ideally located for a quick pint or bite to eat before catching a train. The staff are really friendly and helpful and there's always a good selection of beers, ciders and other drinks available.
L. B.
Bog standard wetherspoons in a convenient location. Great attention and protection for covid. But £4.05 for a pint of strongbow
C. M.
Very busy ok if you want to meet someone from the train
S. H.
All menus and drink are the same now. Food and drink prices can vary as most of these pubs have character and can be in well sort after locations, which the prices reflect. The history plaques in these buildings make interesting reading. With many being in towns don't expect them to have car parks.
M. K.
Breakfast after a lads reunion. The place was packed with train travellers as it is on the door step of Waverley Station, including us! Breakfast could be ordered through the app or at the bar. Coffee was from a refill bean to cup machine and the queue never stopped. When breakfast arrived (20-25 mins after ordering) it was pretty much cold, however tasty. Had it been hot, stars would have been higher. It was Rememberance Sunday and the pub did fall silent for 2 minutes.
P. S.
Service a bit slower than usual but overall typical weatherspoons with staff doing their best.
E. S.
Bar staff excellent had 4 Pints of PUNK IPA
SUPERB XXX
A. W.
Very nice pub. Clean & fresh. Staff were super helpful when I asked for a cup of water for my dog, & again when realised I'd forgot my Radar key for disabled loos. Top marks Wetherspoons.
c. a.
Good atmosphere and good prices, handy when you've got time to kill in the station too 👍
R. H.
Reasonable price, good breakfast options, near the train station.
W. A. a. H. C.
Great location and friendly efficient staff, a good range of excellence cask beers at very reasonable price.
D. W.
Trainspooons! Always a good location for meeting up with folk. Has outside space for smokers and sun worshippers plus the usual drinks and food. Usually busy at any time of day but normally pretty quick bar service.
j.
I think it depends on what you get but food here is always great for the price. On the other side it's a spoons so it's always gonna be a little bit dirty. 5 star value for food 3 star cleanliness.
L. E.
Just a typical Wetherspoons, friendly staff, nicely priced drinks and food, only downfall is the quality of the food, beef chilli was tasty but microwaved, southern fried chicken strips were tasteless, coffee machine knocked out drinks ready to drink, suitable for its location but not when you want a hot beverage.
D. T.
Not the best Wetherspoons but always busy on evenings.
Sometimes it's a battle to get served staff tend to serve a pretty face first or look after people they know.
Food is good and prices are uniformed with other Wetherspoons so your not paying extra because it's in a transport hub
J. E.
Great place to meet and greet or have breakfast, dinner or supper before boarding a train.
t. b.
Very nice and friendly staff
N. G.
Good wetherspoons good beers on nice real ale on as well good frindly staff good place to go for a few drinks with friends afternoon or evening
D. H.
Staff sometimes pick and choose who they wish to serve, the good is ok but have messed up a few times eith added extras like onion rings not coming with the main meal. Some staff are helpful and polite and some are incredibly rude.
R. H. (.
Nice place, friendly service, great venue
N. C.
Could be a bit cleaner but it's a busy weatherspoons so don't expect much
P. S.
breakfast very average bacon sliced very very very thin saus ok toast was warm but not toasted
C. C.
Popped in for a breakfast on my way to a course. Service was very quick and the food was lovely. Toilets smelled fresh and were very clean. Bottomless coffee is a big plus!
J. M.
Beer prices £0.70 more than Sheffield Meadowhall. A young member of staff came into the toilets and signed off as checked even though the floor was soaked. A bit more effort required.
D. A. S.
A popular pub! It has security doorman on duty in late afternoons to closing! So will require you to approve that of right age etc! It has large choice on drink and food. With seating aera upstairs for a more restaurant experience if you want that! Lift available for those who require it. Advice is go in a middle of day on Friday to Saturday as those are busy and most poplar days. Otherwise Monday to Thursday are perfect for those who just want a quiet meal and drink.
J. M.
Always a go to pub for cheaper drinks. A busy Saturday afternoon but not really any structure to the serving process.
P. C.
Great wetherspoons if you're passing through Leeds, and while busy the staff are excellent, and the atmosphere was really lively. A pint is more expensive than usual but still decent value considering the location.
A. M.
Compared to any other train station pub it can't be faulted. Much nicer than your typical Wetherspoons, let alone typical station pubs. The only drawback is the prices - everything has a slight markup over the same products in other 'Spoons you the road in the city centre. The staff are friendlier than usual as well.
J. H.
Always call before or after train trip. Good service, it does what you would expect from a Wetherspoons.
S. A.
Reasonable price and hot food
P. P.
Excellent service, lovely staff and extremely helpful when I mislaid my phone. Will definitely be going back.
A. S.
Had a really nice breakfast here today. Piping hot and served very quickly by lovely friendly staff. Unlimited hot drinks are a bonus as well.
N. A.
Good atmosphere despite being seated outside didn't spoil our afternoon
M. B.
Nice place clean and friendly
S. M. (.
Convenient being in Leeds Station, view not great and limited menu but ok place to meet up with friends
S. B.
It's a wetherspoons in a major railway station so expect it to be busy as hell.
Has a nice outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a drink on the way home after a long day out at the races.
M. O.
Lovely place to meet friends. Staff friendly and not expensive
C. B.
Just had breakfast before London train. Quick service, good choice, friendly staff without being in your face. Comfortable and clean. Great place.
D. S.
Great meeting point for when you're beginning (or ending) a day or night out in Leeds as it's situated in the train station. Does good food, great beer and is reasonably priced
l. s.
Handy while you wait for the train.
G. H.
Smallest wetherspoons I've experienced. Food arrived quickly but portion sizes don't live up to Northern hospitality. Would probably find another pub next time I'm in Leeds.
J. B.
Always clean and you never know what kind of people you will see. Love my local 'spoons!
N. S.
Wetherspoons in Llandudno at the old Palladium Theatre is in dire need of refurbishment. The carpet covering the fl area is servely stained and sticky in places. The tables and chairs are usable but could do with updating. Whilst I worked here for a few weeks people often complained about the food service, the time it took to be served and that many of the hot food wasn't hot enough. This Wetherspoons would not be my first choice.
B. N.
Seated for two people, staff were nice. Social distancing was OK. Food was good, however they had run out of condiments.
I. P.
You know what to expect from Wetherspoon's and get it here in a mainline railway station. Why risk random places?
j. l.
Great little stop for a cheeky tuska
J. S. (.
As expected from a Weatherspoons, a good place to get a drink at a reasonable price and the location in the train station makes it ideal for meeting or waiting for transport. I probably wouldn't recommend the place for food as it's just so busy here. The atmosphere isn't really they type to be eating in for me personally. A difficult one to suggest improvements on as the only negative I can give is it's nearly always busy.
B. B.
Friendly staff ,good beer , decent environment and good plain simple food at astonishing cheap prices. What's not to like.Take a visit.
S. H.
It was very busy, but as this iz located in Leeds Railway station it is to be expected.
I was able to be served quite quickly for food. But the childrens menu had only 1 item left on it.
Unfortunately my niece doesn't eat jacket potato's . She a discerning 3 yr old.
So had to purchase a further meal,
because order had already gone through to kitchen. This wasn't very helpful and i would have prefered to be offered an exchange of meal.
Instead of having to buy another meal.
M. R.
Used the app to order food.
Chose curry but then at the checkout part it said it was not available. Tried again with a different Thursday special only to get the same result?
The regular choices worked fine.
R. P.
Nice place to pop in for a drink before train comes
L. P.
Slow staff at off peak times, polite people
D. K.
Ordered with phone at table, food came quick and was tasty, good price. Deff be back
r. n.
Usual cheap priced quality drinks and value food .. lovely !!!!!
B. P. (.
Great service as usual.
F.
A conveniently located venue with a warm peaceful atmosphere (breakfast time). The food is good and great value. Some seats also have charge ports which is great!
L. W.
I want to say that T. Tee. Tea?f not sure how to spell her name. A female staff member was amazing. Polite very busy. Zooming around the place. Always smiling. And credit to her she navigated the ridiculous table lay out like a pro. And Everytime she served food she returned to the bar/kitchen with used plates and glasses.
Need to add it was England v Sri Lanka cricket so place was packed.
It's a spoons so pretty much the same as any spoons.
Had breakfast it was usual spoons. Coffee machine ran out of milk however filled straight away
M. T.
Decent Wetherspoons in the main Leeds Train station, a little cramped in here but food and drink using the app is always timely. Would recommend for a quick stop before or after your train.
S. B.
Always busy whether you are a commuter or using as a meeting place for pre night out drinks it is a really lively pub, great seating outside when warm and just enough seating inside to hold a good number of people, fantastic food menu, really reasonably priced and customer service always great, a smile to greet you and a quick service.
C. H.
Good service and great coffees. I am an excellent batista 🙂
D. P.
Great location with plenty of space. Doesn't tend to get too overcrowded. Typical range of food and drink for Wetherspoons and good staff.
C. L.
Reasonably priced and good service. Highly recommended.
D. N.
No surprises here. Colourless ‘Spoons made less pleasant again by being very busy, as befits a station pub. Low prices of course. But I would not pay more for this barren experience.
e. d.
All ways good food
S. S.
Another good pub only complaint is there is no dedicated wheelchair space and where we ended up was next to the toilets so lots of drink men and women kept using the chair as a support while walking past.
P. H.
Nice pub to have a few drink before heading into Leeds or your train home
M. R.
Always use this place when down for the leeds match very handy when waiting for the train
T. k.
Nice little pub, great breakfast
D. T.
Cheap and cheerful but busy
S. W.
This is no longer a Wetherspoons, it is now a Slug & Lettuce and it is beautiful. Stunning decor, fantastic selection of meals and snacks. The staff are very welcoming and I recommend anyone to check it out.
D. l.
Fantastic breakfasts and great welcome by staff love been here good start to the day and also a great pub to start a night out and I recommend it to anyone as it caters for all throughout the day give it a try if you like a good breakfast and set yourself up for the day then look no further this place has it all so come down have a great night youll be happily going away with a smile
D. W.
Very handy in Leeds train station. Not too busy on a morning for a coffee with free refills. Expect to pay a little more than other Wethers due to being central Leeds.
M. C.
Decent beer (Shipyard pale ale is always a winner...) at reasonable prices, what more do you want.... Always good to start the afternoon\night.
m. a.
Nice place, friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices.
A. P.
It's a Spoons, what do you want me to say? Everybody knows what to expect from a spoons
t. l.
Go to this place regularly
Always a good service friendly staff and CLEAN DISABLED TOILET
J. S.
love a Wetherspoon's but unless you are planning on waiting for a train for a long time you can't just nip into this one for a quick one and a sit down, rammed due to its location at the station, service was slow, I know a large footfall coming through means its hectic but a bit of organisation would help , standing at the bar listening to management squabble with staff about he did that and she said she would do this.
A. L.
Busy pub, staff knew their products.
A. D.
Choose your time wisely when you go here. Can get very quickly overrun by football fans.
P. C.
It a Wetherspoons, so quality of food the same as all the others
Attentive staff
T. B.
Very busy but like MacDonalds you know what your getting
D. H.
Good breakfast and coffee
O. A.
Stopped of for a quick bite very friendly staff and service
A. W.
Cheap drinks and is always full of people.
S.
Great drinks menu with great value prices and deals. Full English breakfast was lovely. Would recommend for drinks / bite to eat
L. A.
Extremely busy, very difficult to get served.
J. R.
A train station pub that can get quite busy due to its small size but staff are a credit to Wetherspoons.
I. B.
You know what you are getting with a Wetherspoons and this one is no different. The beer is reasonably priced, and was well kept. The added bonus with a Spoons at the train station is that its a fantastic place to people watch. In the space of 30mins on a a late saturday afternoon I'd seen a Stag do, a hen do, a couple breaking up, several couples meeting up, commuters, drinkers, drunks and those just watching the world pass by.
T. C.
So busy. Toilets disgusting. Grabbed a quick drink after travelling.
S. K.
Brintant great pint and very chep stuff loveey what more can you say
J. B.
It's a good pub. Super busy, however, if you have the app they bring your drinks super quick. Not always a table available.
J. A.
It's your regular weatherspoon. Quick stop for a pint before your next train. On Friday and Sat night you have a doorman, so it's quite safe as well.
D. H.
Great pub in Leeds railway station
R. D.
Best food I have had in the many I have been in.
The half chicken was a plumper, twice the size of the scrawny birds in my local Wetherspoons.
Staff were very efficient and friendly.
P. L.
cracking place to have a pint before your train. didn't see any food which was rather strange for a wetherspoon. polite and respectful staff. recommended.
J.
Great place to meet friends
J. Y.
Couple of pints n straight on the train, brilliant
H. C. S.
It's convenient if you want to have a pint in between trains or buses, but slightly more expensive than other Wetherspoons. Alright over all.
S. A. K.
Unbelievable food and service a wide selection of drinks as well ascent alcohol the breakfast is fab and the fact you can drink with your breakfast is great as well as cheap drinks also with many specials ans one of the cheaper places although staff are abit sore still didnt stop from coming back
R. C.
Its a spoons atill a little irritaring that service can be slow but it is what is staff do the best they can
D. A.
Very good range of drinks as to be expected from a wetherspoons. Spacious and plenty of seating options. Food choice is fabulous and facilities up to par
N. H.
The weather was nice so we sat outside and had a drink before our train. Good prices and convenient location, what more could you ask for?
J.
Quick service to our table outside.
A. A.
Person who served me will not win any awards for hospitality, rude and not the customer service you would expect, this is a shame as I have been here a number of times and they have always been professional, person who brought me my food was very nice, if this was my first visit it would be a two star rating, but as I have been here several times and this is the only time I have had a negative experience they get a three
N. S.
Decent pint straight off the train, covid-19 measures in place. Track and Trace also in place, nice atmosphere
A. T.
Ordered a Christmas dinner with turkey etc, cranberry sauce should have been included in a pot on the plate but it wasn't I had to ask for it, apart from that everything else was good.
:)
S. W.
Really good customer quick service even tho it was quite busy
j. c.
always good food and a nice pint. cost is average and pub has a quite queer out the way location by the station
worth a visit though
G. C.
Not at all busy as it should on a Friday, but staff very efficient and as always keen on track and trace. Well done westherspoons
A. “. R.
Ah, Leeds Station Wetherspoons. Well, it's always too busy, I don't think they've vacuumed in there since Michael Jackson was Black, and the food is so unreliable you'd think it were provided by Northern Rail.
I mean, spoons is spoons, but if you're waiting for a train and you want some booze you'd be better going to M&S for a bottle of wine and then passing out beneath one of the benches in the station waiting area.
That place is in more urgent need of a makeover than Harvey Price.
That being said you're probably wondering why I have this place 4 stars. Well, three reasons really: 1) I met the first girl I ever fingered there. 2) When I was the Mayor of that place on 4square I used to get 10% off meals. And 3) I once saw a Nigerian chap try to play the race card at the bar to get a free drink (he was clearly already way too hammered) and they literally told him to buy a courgette so he could go f*!@ himself with it. 4 stars for me.
D. B.
Classic Spoons pub with nothing exceptional about it. Girl who served me the cask ale had no idea about the beers she was serving as when i asked her what was hoppy or fruity she said "I have no idea I dont like beer" !!!!
G. M.
Handy whilst waiting for train home. Floor seems to collapse outside gents ?
V. L.
It was ok, this Wetherspoons needs a coat of paint, a good refurbishment wouldn't be a miss, it is a bit dated and tired.
S. G.
It's a small wetherspoons in side Leeds train station, i called in for a drink before getting my train back home.
A. D.
Spot on breakfast for the cash. Veggie with extra black pudding.
D. H.
Cheerful, very clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was fresh and hot and the price was right
H. H.
Great place for a drink. Can get very busy as in the Leeds train station. Good atmosphere as people on their travels.
S. W.
Often this place is very busy and noisy. Also it is often messy, especially the toilets which are disgusting. Overall it's an ok place but there are better places you should go.
D. S.
Very busy on match days. Menu reduced compared to other wetherspoons
C. B.
Small wetherspoons inside railway station.
Handy for the train with departure boards in premises. Five gaming machines to while away the time. Usual wetherspoons food and drinks at usual great value.
G. C.
No real outside space. Looking tired. As with most wetherspoons, the beer prices are good. Close to Batley train station if thinking of going further a field.
r. p.
Good value good service better than your typical Spoons
I. P.
Decent beer nice atmosphere and in a very good location. Not too badly priced either
S. M.
It seams like s place to be x
P. T.
Not enough staff for how busy the place was.
j. s.
Great value as always, busy but used the app so food arrived promptly. Toilets spotlessly clean.
G. M.
Great service and prices from a well appointed establishment
S. W.
Good place close to train station to grab a quick drink
e.
Great place for a drink and something to eat for the traveller
R. P.
It's a spoons. Consistent.
D. p.
Beer a bit pricey
C. H.
Very handy when you have missed the train. Drinks are very cheap but good. Service is great.
C. M.
Great to call for a quick pint or a place to meet friends. Good selection of food and beers. Always a good stop off at the start of a night out.
T. N.
Good place to have a drink whilst waiting for a train or just a casual drink bit more upmarket than your usual Wetherspoons pubs good selection of beers largers and spirits at reasonable prices can be a cold draft has the security staff keep the doors open good atmosphere
S. A.
By far the easiest place to meet friends on the start of a night out, pricey and the crowds are obscene at times, however, nice little spot, friendly staff & no reason to give any less than 4 stars :)
T. F.
Cocktails were good
M. F.
Very good
A. S.
Best bar in the Leeds station. Good priced food & beer. Could do with more staff if in peak periods but then who couldn't?
P. S.
Lovely place. Good food open till late. Its noisy but what else do you expect? :)
D. H.
Good bar food and plenty of choice of craft ales and lagers. Used to be quite cheap but now just like normal Leeds bar prices.
j. b.
just had an awful experience at the three hulats pub on the harrogate road sunday club roast beef dinner blxxxy awful i was going to say atrocious but not sure i can spell it the meat too tough vegetables under done iknow they call it el dente or sunink but under done is under done a dinning experience to forget on rememberance day
C. R.
Cracking boozer. Honest British public house. They take beer seriously, food is okay but VALUE is the key factor. Staff are very good.
J. B.
Busy pub,ended my visit
G. E.
Good value for money and reasonably fast service, think the waitress left her smile at home when she set off for work
D. W.
Always busy this place with being right next to the station. Brekky was bang on though.
T. A. D.
Excellant value for money and good food. Bonus free tea and coffee refill. Staff friendly and attentive
E. h.
Cheap and cheerful. Pleasant staff. Great place for a quick bite and drink whilst waiting for the train
L. S.
Good cheap food and drink but think they need to clear tables food plates on next table left all the time we where there
K. O.
Went here for breakfast. Cheap and tasty. Nice staff. Ideal location if your using the train station.
S. F.
Always busy and staff normally happy and polite except when idiots wind them up could do with the out door tables cleaning regularly. Toilets could do with a overhaul
M. W.
Nice place to get a quick drink before your train but very busy on the weekends dont expect a seat
