We went for a lunch there today, Saturday for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised at the layout and friendliness of the place and the lovely atmosphere created from the decor and areas of seating in alcoves around the restaurant. Then the food we had was wonderful, a local soup followed by a splendid cheese and meats board with lovely fresh bread followed by a Beef goulash which was divine and then what tasted like home made mince pies. Try their hot toddies and other beverages which were lovely. A great experience at a reasonable price. We will be going again.

Lovely picturesque pub with a really warm cosy environment. Staff are absolutely great. Went for a traditional Sunday lunch and never looked back. There is an ample choice of meat. The Yorkshires are giant chef hats type and melt in the mouth. The meat was nice and moist. I have no qualms about anything on my plate from gravy to veg. It's the first time I managed to finish such a large plate and wanted more, but my stomach couldn't handle another mouthful.

Lovely pub, attentive staff cleaned the table for us within 5 mins. Great selection of drinks too. Oh....& the toilets were clean and well maintained! First time we've been...will be going back.

Very lovely chilled atmosphere pub inside much prefer the beer garden though since they upgraded and made more room its lovely. Food is really nice and drinks are delicious our gin came with berries so that was nice.

Excellent home-cooked food at reasonable prices. Bespoke additions/exclusions seem to be welcome as I asked for changes to ingredients in my omelette and they did that without question. My wife had the homemade goulash, with homemade mash and veg, with complementary proper gravy on requests. We both loved the food and would highly recommend a visit. The staff are very friendly too, we felt they had excellent customer service and positive attitude. It might look like an innocent local pub from the outside, but inside it is an absolute gem. Very tasteful and relaxing.

Wonderful evening in this pub on 23 july for my daughter and partners when we called for a meal so exceptionally hot but solved by wonderful staff with a fan. Even bigger treat was the homemade meal well presented, so tasty home made gravy. Sweets were the same well presented & tasty overall price was excellent. Thank you wonderful staff and people try the steak and kidney pie you wont be disappointed . We will definitely return when we next visit our daughter.

Decent little pub in the middle of Syston. Went there for a drink with some friends recently and had a decent time. Indoor and outdoor seating. Not too cramped either.

Working away from bolton. Found this pub and must say I'm impressed. Friendly staff with good knowledge of the areas hotels and guest houses. A warm welcome is definitely here. Will try the dinners before I go back home but already know I will love it. If you love traditional pubs this is for you. I've been back every night after work and will be till the jobs finished. EXCELLENT.

They do a pretty good Sunday lunch, and were happy to accommodate us at late notice. A bit miffed at the £1 card charge even though we spent well over £25 quid, but I suppose there was a cashpoint over the road (which we saw only later).

Excellent food, reasonable price and well worth the wait. Next time I will probably order a children's portion, there was just so much of it; a simple order of Gamon and chips came with so many extras as standard that I couldn't finish it.

Nice establishment with well-suited di call and a small outside area for those of you the lights to smoking cigarettes and enjoy the sunshine staff are friendly however it does get busy on a Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night which may prove difficult to get into the bar as it was for me a few months ago I was waiting for 20 minutes before I was served however when it arrived the Strongbow was fantastic

I visited this establishment on Friday 11th of January for a leaving party and was impressed by the decor, service and range of food and beverages, and would have scored it higher but my wife is disabled and the pub is full of steps and isn't disabled friendly.

The Fox is a lovely, welcoming local family run pub in Syston, Leicestershire. Martin, Sophie, Damien and the rest of the team are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them to accommodate you. Great local pub with a nice atmosphere and great Guinness... What more is required?!
