Wonderful old village pub, great landlord, nice clientele, well kept beer, lovely atmosphere.

I was booked to perform at this bar.... what a Fabulous place. Inside and out! Such friendly locals and lovely owners. We were made to feel very welcome. Food was lovely and the toilets were very clean!

Nice cosy vibes. Very friendly bar staff. The chef was wondering around in dirty chef whites in the customer areas which was abiy weird but we weren't eating so wasn't an issue.

Fantastic team. Attentive warm and welcoming. As a party of 10, we all had starters and a main. The food came out hot, delicious and all served at the same time. It was a family celebration and couldn't have been any better. Lovely atmosphere and we ended up staying after the wonderful meal and enjoying the evenings entertainment put on by Jon and Pete, the landlords. We extended a huge thank you to the whole team and will be recommending the Old Hare & Hounds to all our friends and family.

We eat at The Old Hare regularly… why? Because the food is great. Simple. Why slave over a hot stove on a Sunday when you can have a delicious roast cooked for you. Try a break from a take away on a Friday night, I can personally recommend the Steak, Gammon and Burgers. A mid week treat for Mum, a catch up with my cousin … any excuse to eat at The Old Hare! Food is ways tasty, hot and nicely presented. Jon and his team are welcoming and very friendly.

It started with a phone call to ask if the pub was wheelchair friendly, A delightful young lady , Denise, she told me it was, and explained that due to the marquee in the car park, I should drop the wheelchair user at the front then go and park the car which was fine. The then minutes later the same young lady phoned me to say that if I booked the table the landlord has said he will open the gates and let me park there. WOW !!! so that is what we did the next day. there was even a ramp to help us down the step to get into the bar. what lovely old pub, just like they used to be, before profit became more important than the customers. we were looked after by another young lady, Jo , she could not have done more for us , all four of us had a lovely meal with a few drinks. the food was really lovely, must try the Sunday dinners. my friends live near there so they will definitely be going back. Just want to say a big thank you to both the young ladies, the chef, and the landlord, you really made our day for us

Old traditional pub with a great gazebo for outside dining. Food service was a bit slow considering we were the only table eating at the time. However, worth the wait as the food was spot on. Hot and fresh and the best chips ever.

Yet another fabulous meal at The Old Hare and Hounds... a great acceptance of sexual diversity and the meals are an eclectic mix of old fashioned faves with a quirky twist. The chef Chris, is personable and understandable of dietary requirements... and happy to accommodate. Jo the head bar maid is fabulous at meeting and greeting and her experience is clearly paramount. All locals are warm and engaging and I really have enjoyed my impromptu visits. 5 *+ Looking forward to my next visit and supporting locally found charities. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Overall food is good lots of choice if they have it available. Went for family meal didn't have what I wanted for my main and had to re order 3 times. Lasagna was awful pre cooked not fresh. Service was good

Wasn't that impressed to be honest took some mates for Birthday meal .scampi was lovely salad was just lettuce leaves had to ask where the rest of salad was came back with tomato and cucumber chopped up very disappointed. Friends had dessert they were not happy very small for price ashame really as been before and was lovely

Standard pub grub type menu that can be found ...fish,steaks,burgers etc good choice of beers ,wines and spirits.some of the dining areas may not be suitable for people with disabilities or those who cannot climb stairs so is advisable to ask for seating on ground floor if you can't manage stairs.
