Hands down the best lamb I ever had. Proper Punjab. It's still just a local pub though, so will hear pool balls and loud conversation. Could do with bit of refurbishment. Highly recommended for it's food!

Came with a friend on two separate occasions. Went with a butter chicken served hot on a recommendation and can honestly say one of the best curries I’ve ever had. Lovely local family-ran pub/curry house which is an absolute gem in Aylestone.

I've lived in Leicester since the early 1990s and have been to pretty much every single restaurant and ordered from most takeaways, I am obsessed with the food and cook it at home too. Prince of Punjab's food is at the very top in Leicester. I have paid £80 per head in a posh restaurant (for work) and the food has been no where near as good. Highly, highly recommend - amazing, amazing home cooked food!

It's the only pub in the area, so luckily it's a good one! Really friendly family-run pub. The regulars (like us!) aren't glamourous, but they're all friendly and might even challenge you to a game of pool! Kids are welcome, so there are quite often children running around, and they have BT and Sky Sports, so you can watch all the football here. Drinks are a decent price but not a massive selection. But the thing that makes this place special is the food: it's all home cooked fresh by tge Grandma when you order, so you might have to wait a little while, but it's well worth it! The tastiest curries I've had, even being from Leicester, especially the Chicken Karai, the Punjab mixed grill and the vegetarian mains like the Butter paneer, Makhni Daal and Punjabi Saag. They're all delicious, and really well priced too. And you can call up and order to take away too.

We dined at this establishment with the family to celebrate my mothers birthday and we had a wonderful experience! We were made to feel like family and all requests were fulfilled!! Authentic punjabi food like mums cooking. The children were all spoilt with free drinks and a toy from the vending machine. The best dining experience we've had for a very long time. Ok, so the setting asnd surround isnt the best. I was very unsure when we arrived BUT, we were welcomed by a friendly smile of the owners. Explained how thier spice levels work, told that all food is cooked fresh on site. smells were amazing. Prices were very reasonable. drinks were refreshing. Food was delicious. I will most certainly be revisting. A job well done. A must try in my opinion.

We visited on Friday night and had the Paneer Tikka and Paneer Jalfrezi and both had a lovely taste, all served with Garlic & Coriander Naan and chips. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. This is a "proper boozer" so you get a good pub atmosphere with good pub (desi) food. Authentic Panjabi cuisine. If you're looking for a quiet Indian restaurant, this isn't for you. if you're looking for a pub with good home cooked food, friendly locals and banter - this is it. I love the name of the pub also. Keep up the great work guys!

Friendly owners, well-kept, cheap beer and really good home-style Punjabi food. Everything we tried was delicious, but the surprise was "Amritsar Fish Pakora". These tasted just like one of my favorite Spanish fish dishes: "Cazón en Adobo" from Andalusia.

Family run place, husband behind the bar was very friendly. Still has a traditional pub feel with ale on tap and sport on big screen. Wife and daughter cooked really tasty Punjabi style dhal and Channa Masala, also tried veg kheema and veg kofta, all cooked from scratch :) we know this from the fresh taste...and it took quite a long time (45mins) but definitely worth the wait. Really yummy! Daughter in law serving the food was also super polite and friendly. We were a group of 6 and we all agreed we'd definitely come back!

Visiting friends and was recommended to go to this place. Located on a side road so was slightly apprehensive but was proven wrong by the lovely staff and such a lively but comfortable atmosphere. The food just added to the whole experience as it was amazing, one of the best foods I've eaten, chilli paneer & masala chips are the best starters!

First impression was that the interior needed updating. I would have liked a greater range of beers, perhaps a cask ale on draught. However I have to give 4 stars for the food as the Indian food was very nice. I had a "medium" Chicken Jalfrezi with a naan and pilau rice which was very fresh and tasty but quite hot for my inexperienced English palette. If some money was invested in decor and a better seating area I would certainly eat here again.
