We love this pub, more than our front room. A real gem in the city, and full of incredible people. Great landlord, staff and the Edna cat. 😻 Always a warm welcome, and a great selection of beers. Live music on a Monday, Thursday and some Friday nights. Worth supporting and keeping alive, given that most pubs like the Horse have long since gone. Long live The Black Horse. 👌

This is a fantastic pub that welcomes everyone, bar staff are great and we love either a quiet darts night or a busy drinking Friday night. It’s a gem not to be missed.

One of my favourite few remaining traditional pubs in the City. Very good selection of beers, lovely cobs on the bar, dartboard and sun terrace, traditional but well-kept decor and some really good live music nights. Landlord is a bit of a grumpy sod, hard to tell if that's just his sense of humor.

Fantastic little pub. Used to be a very very quiet little place but they had a refit a few years back and installed a roof terrace, this was a great idea! Fantastic in winter and summer now. Huge selection of whisky!
