That's why we love visiting, as often as we can. You can visit for any occasion, a drink, light bite, pub food, restaurant meal. All of which are exceptional. We dropped by at late notice yesterday, having not done anything for Valentines the day before. It was a lovely experience with friendly, professional staff and a humorous warmth that shines through from whoever writes the menu. The chef must be a genius as my meal in particular (and all the food) was incredible. Real stand out meal - the duck breast with cherry skewers and all the amazing trimmings. I can’t wait to return!

I called in one Sunday a few weeks ago on the off-chance that they had a table for my granddaughter and I. Luckily, someone hadn't turned up so we got their table. The restaurant was busy but the staff were friendly and efficient. We both had the roast turkey dinner (a child's portion with dessert for my granddaughter). It was delicious, plenty of it and well presented. Very good value for money too. I had the Bulls Head special trifle which was nice but I couldn't really taste the Schnapps in it. Finished off with a coffee on the verandah outside while my granddaughter enjoyed the play area. Two happy bunnies! Would definitely recommend and will visit again. Thanks for fitting us in.

This pub has greatly improved, the food was very good, burgers were delicious, portion size excellent the rest of the group really enjoyed it too. The only small thing, placement of one of the centre tables too close to tables on the right side. It did mean that it was very tight.

Brilliant pub! Great outside area with kids play section. Family friendly and generally fantastic service. However, when i visited today ( 19/7/21) and wanted to order food - a couple starters and mains and 2 kids meals. We were refused everything but the kids meals because we were not sat on the patio. The patio was approximately 3meters away. I was told this is due to a seperate cutlery for bar and restaurant food. I would be happy with bar cutlery. Surely, this is a personal choice? If its reataurant food being served outside then surely that would not be limited to just a patio area but all outside area? If you are in the bar - i understand in only offering a bar menu..... but to serve only to a certain area outside or lose the custom is ludicrous? Ive included a picture of our distance to where we would be able to eat.

Amazing food definitely will be recommending and will be back. Service was a little slow. We were told when booking that we could only have our table until 7:30 as it was booked. But we sat with empty plates for half an hour waiting for the table to be cleared and order our deserts which meant we weren't out in time. But all in all great visit. Thankyou

Absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD FOOD!!!!!! If this was a reduced menu, goodness only knows what to expect from the full menu! Stopped to just see, have a drink. One quick glance at the menu. We immediately chose to order. The drinks and cocktails, where sublime. We ordered two starters instantly! Within two bites. We knew we would be having Mains too!!! The starters, Pork belly, with a beetroot ketchup. The ketchup is witchcraft!!! My Fiancée doesn't eve like beetroot, but it is so SOO Amazing, We ordered more of it. Its sweet, savoury, Smokey, phenomenal!!!! The Smoked Salmon and bellinis where beautiful. Mains. We had a main course of the pork we had as a starter, in a main portion size. Then the Umami Burger. Oh MY!!!!! I do not EVER order burgers at a restaurant!!!!! This was exceptional, Outrageously good. Quite Possibly the best burger I've ever had!!! Simply mind blowing. I/we, can NOT wait to visit again and VERY Soon!!! The Staff where all amazing. Warm, welcoming, friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable, polite and helpful. Everything you needed and more. The Drinks where a delight, freshly made cocktails to order, wine was beautiful and the draught, sublime. And again. The food was so SOO GOOD!!!! Lucky enough to meet the owner and his daughter. Lovely people, at the top of their game. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE HIGHLY ENOUGH!!!!! Truly a hidden Gem! Truly a perfect evening. Perfect food. And Some! One of my favourite pubs in Leicestershire. I often pop in here for a pint with friends, as the atmosphere is cosy, comfortable and welcoming. The staff are extremely friendly and hold good conversation. The ambience here is fantastic, and relaxed- I can see why the car park is usually busy with people coming and going.

Had a meal here last night (11/8/21) lovely little restaurant to the back of the pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great. I swopped my potatoes out and this was not problem, the duck was cooked beautifully. A small menu but good choice, tasty food. Excellent for couples and families alike.

Our first visit to this venue for dinner and it was so good! I would go as far as saying it was the best burger meal we have ever had (and I am super fussy!!). We will most definitely be returning very soon. Oh and a special mention for the onion rings with balsamic glaze - WOW!

Visited as part of a walking group of 13. Food was fine and enjoyed by all of us, but we were a bit disappointed with the overall service. Despite us asking, they didn't want us to pre-order. When we arrived they insisted on sorting our drinks before the food order. This delayed the order going in, then the kitchen seemed slow in getting the food to us, some about 5 minutes after others. At one point the music volume was turned right up, making conversation difficult. We had to request it be turned down. Gents toilets weren't the best, could do with some air freshener and soap in the dispenser. So overall impression is only just OK, as we regularly visit pubs as a group we know what can be done and the Bulls Head missed the mark.

Decent sized parking area out on the front. During the summer months the garden and decking area is a nice place to be. Big family meals or just a couple out for a bite to eat this place suits both.

A great pub and great location. Recently taken over by a new landlord and landlady. With that said, initial impressions were well above what we expected and I would give them an initial rating of 5 stars or 110% with excellent food, well cellared ale and attentive and friendly service. Visited on a Saturday night and the place was busy and had a great atmosphere. The decor was lovely and we are looking forward to a fantastic summers evening in the beautiful space they have created outside. I booked a table for two before looking at the reviews, and I'm glad I did else I would not have bothered due to all the negative remarks made. However when we got there the car park was full and we were Immediately shown to a table by a waitress and she asked us what we wanted to drink. After a couple of minutes she came back with the drinks and asked us for our order. We decided on the Sunday Lunch and it was about ten minutes before the food was served. All the vegetables were fresh, the meat was very tender and the staff were excellent. I did notice the managers were serving behind the bar and also the food because it was so busy, Is that a bad thing? I would definitely recommend this place, and say that anybody that posted on here with negative remarks must have caught them on a bad day. Thank you.

WOW with such diverse of good and bad reviews, and having used that pub for 40yrs and seen so many changes we just had to try it out. We decided to go for Lunch and left it till 1 30pm. This place is an independent pub which caters for both diners and drinkers, unusually nowadays. The food is fairly priced and is good quality and well cooked. In the evenings there is table service. They have front of house dining in the bar area, and a restaurant at the rear. There is also a large garden with benches. A goid selection of beers including some craft ones; also keeping up with the Gin fashion and have a Gin menu. Nice place- not too upmarket but still nice enough to take the wife

As said many times before in the reviews. This establishment is not cheap to say the least (Even for the Sunday lunch time menu). When we arrived the entire building was freezing and most people were still in their coats whilst dining. Still the fire place remained unlit. My father ordered the pâté and toast for starters to which he only had a single slice of toast at a pitiful size; an overly sugary red onion chutney but with good amount of pâté on the plus side. Once requested the waitress brought over a more than sufficient amount of bread to compensate. My duck wraps for starter were of a much better standard and the hoisin sauce was of great consistency. In addition, we both had steaks for mains which were both cooked exactly how we requested. However, the steaks weren’t flavoured enough and were in desperate need of a sauce such as a peppercorn. On the whole the waitresses were kind and accepting of meal adjustments; for a pub the food is above average but is lacking in small touches which need to be rectified if the establishment would want to be any more than just a pub. Ps. The hot chocolate is more expensive than that of Costa Coffee and is a fraction of the size, not good.

This is a historic Inn on a busy road...the place has a nice feel to it and the beer is very pleasant...its an Everard's house....avoid the coffee...I resent being charged £4.90 for two cups of what tasted like instant coffee

Celebrated my birthday here last night with my family, my son had been once before and said how nice the meals were, he wasn't wrong. The resturant area is lovely with chairs at the table which are the most comfortable I've ever sat in whilst having a meal, tables not crammed in so you felt at ease instantly, the menu has a great variety of foods but I went for the 10 oz rib eye steak which came with a choice of sauce and tripple cooked chips and side salad and knew when the waitress (who was so lovely and couldnt do enough for you ) didn't bring a steak knife it was going to be perfect which it certainly was. The other meals were also rated highly by the rest of the party and although we had to wait a little while longer for our puddings due to the larger parties being delt with they were delicious. I would highly recommend eating here the price for the whole meal for 5 with 2 rounds of drinks was so reasonable too and I will definately be going back . Thank you for making my birthday meal enjoyable 😊
