Reviews of The Cock Inn
A. I.
A warm welcome from the owners and staff weather it's summer or winter.
Good stop off point after, or before, a country walk.
Great selection of beers and spirits (including 0%) and Guinness. Also a wide range of soft drinks.🙂
Dog friendly. 🐕
Parking available. 🚗

Nice friendly country pub with great atmosphere and good choice of beers. Two fairly small bars and additional seating in the car park over the road. Can get busy with customers outside the pub and cars parked on the road.

Quality country pub. It's like the TARDIS... Looks small but alot bigger inside plus the beer garden opposite is just the job in nice weather
G. B.
A bustling country pub under new ownership. Friendly staff and landlord. New seating inside and out. Decent choice of beer. Quiet location in a typically gorgeous South Leicestershire village.

This is a really good village pub. It's a freehouse and wet pub but provides cobs and a great selection of wines.
D. K.
Lovely pub, nice selection of beers and guest ales. Fantastic welcoming staff. Large car park and beer garden on the other side of the road. Cyclist and walker friendly. Also serves good quality meals.

Just discovered this great little pub. Really friendly and nice staff, landlady was very attentive - and if you are lucky you’ll meet the live in Cat. Great to see a freehold pub doing well. Hope to see you soon.

Great village pub!

Lovely roast and real homemade puds. Lots of outdoor seating, but it is across the road (not one for small children)

A lovely little country pub offering excellent real ale (Theakstons Best, Directors plus a guest beer) and good food. Free fresh bread and cheese in the bar early doors on week nights. There is a nice bar menu as well as a wider selection on the a la carte restaurant menu. Well worth a visit!

Again we've enjoyed a tasty 2 course meal. 4 clean plates. Great choice, friendly staff. Small country pub. You may need to book.

Excellent food and great surroundings. A really good proper pub as well

Cosy village pub. Very small with a 'real ale' feel, that is to say mercifully immune to current bistro style trends. I dare say not to everybody's liking but it is charasmatic and charming. I understand from a close friend that the landlord is of fine character, and certainly everybody appeared to be friends with him and vice versa. There was an easy going mutuality which felt very appropriate for a public house. Furthermore I am told that he keeps the beer very well indeed. We went on a Friday evening when the drinks were flowing and the vibe was lively without being rowdy. There was a core range and a selection of guest beer. In summary very enjoyable and the formula is that mysterious 'just right' village pub. Well done Richard.

A real village pub. Seriously freshly cooked grub from a well balanced menu. A little noisy at times BUT no dreadful muzak. Highly recommend.

Lovely place to eat, varied menu, only down side I would say is drinks are not requested first and starters can arrive before wine!.. looking forward to returning tho!
H. W.
Welcoming atmosphere although I do know a few of the locals but still a good old fashioned pub
D. F.
Good food from a chef 'Albert' (with a French accent) that's been there for years - reasonable prices and good service - we don't eat out much because I'm a good cook but this place is on our list when we do!
