If you like to drink - even just one tiny cocktail - then you had better come here. Literally the best, most inventive cocktails and shots ive ever seen. Lovely staff, great location, even the menus are incredible. 110% recommend

The Gadabout was brilliant, especially for my first time back out at night in Leicester . I had a couple of alcohol free cocktails, one served hidden in foliage and one in a wellie. So tasty and didn't make you feel like you were missing out at all. Think the others were jealous actually. The staff were all friendly, helpful and service was quick. No faults at all, will definitely go back

Really nice place, lovely building, unfortunately took about 30 mins from arrival to getting out first drink as they insist upon serving you water, bringing you a menu, coming back to take order, making cocktails, delivering cocktails to the table. Cocktails were really really nice when they got there, just a bizarre setup for getting a drink.

What a fantastic place, something for everyone , lively bar with lots of secluded nooks and niches if your wanting something more intimate. Cocktails are amazing full strength too not the local watered down version. Staff well trained and able to confidently tweak recipes and offer alternatives BRILLIANT !!!

Lovely new bar in town, really great bartenders with a well devised menu. I would recommend the "You yuzu call me on my cellphone" - American whiskey, yuzu and sesame make a lovely pairing. For a less boozy, more fresh cocktail, the Mulberry or the Apricot Sour are great.

Lovely independent cocktail bar right next to the gorgeous Cathedral. This bars has a heavy attention to detail from the staff uniform to the amazing looking cocktail menu. The cocktails are spectacularly presented and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Cannot recommend enough.

We had a brilliant night in the newly refurbished cave area. Callum was absolutely brilliant hosting 15 of us with minimum fuss and plenty of charm! Fantastic drinks, great service, and very clean and safe. The best bar in Leicester.

Been a few times for cocktails, really nice outdoor location on the cobbled lane. The service is great, I left a bag and they kept it safe for me. I can highly recommend many of the classic cocktails, and their signatures, the bar staff know their stuff. Caiprinha is spot on :)

We went here last night to celebrate a birthday and the cocktails were so delicious and the way they were presented was really unique. I'd definitely recommend this place as somewhere special to go, that will provide something a bit different from the norm. The service was excellent too! Our server Gee was great - super cool and friendly , and kept checking on us throughout our time there. Thanks Gadabout!

This has to be one of the best bars in Leicester without doubt! Lovely little place with an amazing selection of cocktails/drinks and lovely, friendly staff who are so nice to their customers. The Manager took the time to help us with our drinks offering really helpful advice and was a thoroughly lovely bloke. Amazing, I fell into this place almost by accident, met Leeza (sp) and it was a match made in heaven I wanted alcohol and she was happy to advise and supply. Perfect atmosphere great attention to detail - totally took in mind what I wanted and advised according all set in a 16th century building - what more could you want? Will deffo be back !

My husband and I visited this amazing cocktail bar on Saturday 17th. I must say it was the best experience we have ever had. The place looked amazing, the staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and seemed genuinely interested in us. They went above and beyond to give us a great time. They advised us on cocktails and made sure each drink was suited to us. I don't usually write reviews however due to the current covid situation I have personally found some bars in Leicester just see us as an inconvenience or a chance for them to be rude and awkward. I have never felt so appreciated as a customer ever as I did in Gadabout ! Although the drinks are perhaps a slightly higher price they are worth your money and time. These are the bars we should be promoting, using and keeping open. We can't wait to return !!!

Great place for cocktails (good quality and you get what you pay for) and table service now! Can’t wait to revisit when they start serving food. Quirky and (probably listed) building with a cellar too. Don’t visit if you want cheap (run of the mill) cocktails - there’s plenty enough of that in the city elsewhere. This is relaxed and quirky and something different which makes a refreshing change.

So we came up to Leicester from Sheffield and ended up here as somewhere to have a couple of drinks before we moved on. We ended up here all afternoon and had the most amazing service and drinks! All the cocktails are originals and delicious, and the owner and bar staff are amazingly knowledgeable and sociable! Will be coming back when I’m next in Leicester :)

Great selection of cocktails. I like their quirky cocktail menu categorised in the countries they originated from. They've set it out like a travel magazine, so you wouldn't know it's a menu at first. The bar staff are very knowledgeable if you're not sure what you're after. If there's a few of you, then you're still likely to get a table which is great as it doesn't feel over crowded (but we did go early evening straight after work). Ask to sit downstairs if possible. The steps are a little narrow and steep to get down but well worth it if you want a booth to yourself.

We came across this place on a Saturday afternoon, it was called taps before gadabout. They played great chilled tunes, and was a really cozy place. It is primarily a cocktail bar, but sell all drinks including a very nice German lager and ipa on draft. The staff are really friendly and very knowledgeable. There is a down stairs which I think would be amazing in busy times, almost cave like. Already been back twice, and looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Went with group from work recently, friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was really knowledge about items on the menu as well as other items not on the menu. Ordered the "you yuzu call me on my cellphone".. Nice finishing touch with flair for the presentation of this really nice drink.

Great mid-high end drinking establishment with tables you can book with beer taps. The decor is tasteful and rustic though the plan is somewhat narrow so don't expect large spaces you can sit/stand. Beer here is via the bar with a small selection and guest beers on tap. Speaking of taps you can book one of a select few tables with the guest beer on tap. Cocktails are well thought out and mixed to excellent standards. The food is nicely prepared and tasty. Don't expect large portions, this is fine dining. Service here is good when not busy (I was not here for a busy period). All in all I would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends.

Very nice decor, service was pretty good too. The selling point is definitely the self pouring (Taps). Quite expensive, but nothing particularly unexpected; providing you don't go there expecting cheap drinks you won't be disappointed. On the whole brilliant, I can't say either way in regards to food, I think they stop serving after 10:00 pm.

Such a quirky little place hidden in the narrow streets by the cathedral. This place is such a nice place to visit, it's so original and different to other pubs in the city centre. The most interesting feature is the pour your own beer taps on every table. Other than that they have a fantastic selection of beers with knowledgeable staff whow are extremely helpful and welcoming. The menu is a vibrant array of flavours all prepared and presented to a high standard. Due to us having to wait 20 minutes for our meal the manageress took 20% off our bill without us asking, which I thought was a nice gesture and clearly showed her pride and dedication to the place. Would recommend to all!
