Easter Saturday Meal!
Luckily we got nice weather this bank holiday so we were able to sit outside on the front beer garden soaking up the evening sun!
We got seated to our table in a timely manner and soon after placed our drinks order.
There was a good atmosphere and it was very busy.
The waiter was very pleasant and had a good small talk with us.
We placed our order for starters, which was the calamari, and scallops and prawns (pics below). The calamari was cooked well and dusted with paprika, a little bit too much in my personal opinion, it was quite strong, perhaps a stronger garlic aioli to accompany it. The scallops were cooked perfectly, one was seared to perfection, the other I guess got stuck to the pan😂, only downside to this starter was the portion was a bit small, only 4 small ish prawns. Tasted amazing however.
For mains we chose the sea bass and the beef rib. Both were very good. The sea bass has crispy skin and went well with the pancetta veloute.
The beef rib was cooked well, not so tender you could cut it with a spoon. But pretty good. The dauphinois were delicious. I could have had a side dish of these if possible!
The sticky toffee pudding finished off the meal wonderfully.
Went away a very happy customer.

Love the Sunday Roast and their dessert menu. Great time to visit in colder weather and when they have the fireplaces on. Very cozy atmosphere and furnished. Service is good and they do cater to those with dietary needs and very kid friendly, will have to visit in the summer as they do have outdoor seating. Prices are okay and food quality is fairly good.

Had carvery very late afternoon today 1st time here fantastic meal with grandchildren a bit noisy as we were sat next to the play area. The table being a bit small for 7
I was going to drop a star in this review as little social distancing and very view customers wearing masks when moving around not really the fault of the establishment. But that said the staff are doing a great job in these difficult times. Left a well deserved tip to the chap carving as he actually seemed to be enjoying his job.
My wife and I happen to be guests tomorrow with a party of 8 adults hopefully we will be seated far away from the play area

Fabulous food . Fiona and staff great and a lovely atmosphere Well recommended .Our favourite place to eat in Leicester by far .
F. B.
Fiona served us on Sunday just gone. She was amazing. Service was fast, food was tasty and the atmosphere was out of this world.
M.
Absolutely loved this place and the food and service were great! Shania was a lovely member of staff and was a pleasure to speak to. Many thanks The Grange Farm!
f. W.
Was nice to be back at our local!!! The 6 of us had food and drink, reservation at 7, we left at close. Service was attentive and friendly, although a little slow at times but considering they was busy it was too be expected. Food was well seasoned and faultless.
R. S.
Great service! We stayed for a few hours with no rush to leave. Staff were lovely and the food was great. Atmosphere was relaxed. We hadn't booked a table but the host was nice enough to offer us a table by the door which was perfect for us. We will definitely visit again!
P. P.
The food and customer service was 10/10. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the gentleman that served us however he was very polite and attentive! Proud to call this my local 😊
T. C.
Food was okay. Some areas are really dark. But it's a pub. Very nice staff.
J. W.
While travelling through the area, I was lucky enough to stumble across this lovely place, it has lots of charm and character with very helpful and friendly staff. It has a good selection of pub food and drink, and is reasonably priced. There is also a good amount of parking if you so wish, but one note ! It would be a good idea to book a table in advance, due to its popularity.
O. N.
We are relatively new to the area and we were looking for somewhere nice to eat and were recommended the Grange Farm! It did not disappoint! We have been twice now and both visits have been excellent! Great service on both occasions, fantastic food and a lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend!
P. W.
Slow service initially, had to try and track someone down to ask to sit at our table for a meal, but improved from there on. 40% discount found online so reasonable price. Very nice food and atmosphere.
C. B.
Lovely service and attention. Food good but lacking..... we had hunters chicken schnitzel. Came with 10 chips and peashoots. Maybe a little side salad or peas would have been a nice accompaniment.
L. B.
We went to Grange Farm for a Sunday lunch. The Meal was on time, we were well looked after, the staff very friendly and accommodating and, above all, the food was great! We had a really lovely experience.
T. C.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, really welcoming and delicious food.

It has been a few years that we visited The Grange, even before Covid struck. This was because under a particular manager the foid quality dramatically lowered but the prices stayed the same. We thought lets try again aa we did like The Grange initially. The food was good this time, although the chips that I had with my steak must have been frozen as the centre was a strange texture. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We spent a nice amount of time here and enjoyed the calm and relaxing environment.
S. P.
Popped in for quick snack, sat outside ordered at table food and drinks were out within minutes. Nice food and decent price. Nice beer garden.
R. A.
Had a lovely Sunday dinner at Grange Farm with my family. Good quality food, very friendly and helpful staff in a nice environment! Will definitely return 😊👍🏻

Visited on Friday 4th March around 5.30 for a birthday dinner. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Jake found us a nice quiet table, at our request, in the section away from the bar. He helped us with our drinks order as we wanted a soft drink but something a bit special. We got a very fancy cherry soda dressed up like a mocktail which was perfect! We then had a wonderful meal including the salmon dish which was very generous and the beef bourginion which a favourite of mine...both amazing. But the main highlight was the amazing attentive, friendly service from Shania. She is just the best waitress in the world. Great at what she does and does it consistently with all her tables. She even brought our sticky toffee pudding out with a candle for the birthday girl 😄 She was so good that I spoke to the assistant manager to pass on so.e great feedback. You don't get many super stars in hospitality but Shania is one of them so, Vintage Inns, I hope you recognise her success as she's an asset to your company.
J. N.
We went for brunch and were really looked after well. The staff were helpful, smiley and attentive. The food was great and I can definitely recommend the pancakes.
S. L.
Excellent Food. Staff very friendly. Would visit again for a meal as standard of food is really good
h. s.
Lovely food and lovely staff , shania who served us was friendly and a delight to have as a waitress, I would definitely go there again because the food was spot on 😋
J. M.
Just been for a meal here the food was amazing, the staff were really friendly and helpful didn't have to wait long for our food to be brought to our table would highly recommend
P.
This pub had a really nice atmosphere and the food tasted lovely and was well presented. Then only negative I'd say about the foods taste was that some of the veg was undercooked. There was a long wait time for the food which has dimmed the experience but overall it was an okay place to eat out.
S. V.
We had a lovely brunch. Nice menu, good service and a very pleasant experience. We hope to return in the future.
N. B.
Great choice of beers, both nice outdoor/indoor seating and the staff were all lovely & very friendly too. Great boozer 👌❤️🍻🥂
K. M.
Shania was our server this evening, she couldn’t have been more helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable We always enjoy visiting the Grange Pub , thanks to the lovely staff , thank you
m. C.
Nice cosy place. No 2-1 meals or decent specials. Kids menu is available. We sampled the fish and chips. Roast and steak and ale pie. On a scale of 1 to 10.. I would give it a 7. Staff were very attentive and happy. Menu price was at the higher end which matched the presentation of the place, but not the food. But that's just my opinion.
C. P.
Quick service, great surroundings and delicious food desserts very pricey for what it is though and the serving
J. B.
Food near enough spot on in both courses, although a little.extra gravy with the delicious chicken and mushroom pie wouldn't have gone amiss. The service was very keen, dedicated and accommodating for a large party of 9 people at Christmas, although it must be noted that the waiting time for the food and even drinks were quite excessive. The decor was very much to be admired inside and out. Many times I've driven right past, but I'll happily come back for a second visit.
A. C.
Improved! Must have a New Person at the Helm...
Fishcakes, Underwhelming Portion and Presentation...
Young lady server, efficient and Charming... Manager Evident and Running a Good Team... Warmer than Before... Corporate, but Ok Execution of Food and Hospitality

Grange Farm
Is a lovely Venue. Its pet friendly, lovely food.
I was a bit worried about food Choice for vegans at first.
However I had the best vegan Sunday roast.
Fiona was Absolutely lovely and very accommodating to everybody's needs no matter how big or small.
I'm Gluten-free and dairy-free and vegan.
I do Struggle to find good food sometimes.
But really found this place wonderful, Proper fire and beautiful Interior. And waiting time was not long at all.
T. M.
Nice vibe, good food.
Upon arrive had to wait for a while before we were greeted even though we had a booking, after some minutes we flagged down a staff member who then showed us to our table.
It was a Sunday so yes they were busy not a big deal.
Another thing to mention is that the vegetarian options are very limited so check the menu prior to your visit to avoid disappointment.
A. P.
Fabulous service, staff so lovely especially with our toddler. Really love it and food great too, such a warm cosy traditional pub. 👌
L. M. H.
Lovely food. Nice place and well looked after by the staff. We will definitely return it the future. Thank you.
v. h.
We have been to the Grange many times and it has always been good previously but today wasn’t great. The steak & gammon was good but the children’s fish and chips was tiny with about 10 chips. The moving moving mountains burger was also small with 12 chips no side salad etc. The portion sizes are small, ordering from the main menu (not the lunch menu) it should be a decent meal, you shouldn’t be leaving the place hungry £65 later. The only solution offered was for us to buy more chips ourselves to add to the plate.
T. P.
Staff and service was brilliant, food was quality and a very good selection of drink. Perfect recipe for a good time with friends and family.
L. T.
Wow, just had the most delicious Sunday dinner. Will definitely be back 😋
M. S.
We have been coming every Wednesday from when lock down finished. The staff and the facilities even through Covid have been excellent. Well done to the team!
J. T.
Food was great quality along with the great customer service. It was busy but we still felt important
P. S.
Came here with my best friend for Christmas dinner,
On the whole the staff were friendly and helpful, the starters and desserts were not to bad either, but the main was not the best I have ever had, a lot of it was very dry and felt like it had been under a hot lamp or hot plate, which was disappointing, especially for the cost per a person,
I get its Christmas and busy but yeah we left feeling disappointed,
Where as today have gone to the hanging gate in shottlegate part of the same vintage inns family and can't say enough of how brilliant they are, similar menu,
Excellent service and food, for nearly £30 a person,
Maybe it's a hit and miss kinda thing
L. C. r.
Visited here for the first time with my family for mothers day today staff were very welcoming and very helpful couldn't fault this place in anyway and will definately recommending to friends and family and will definately come back again in the future
G. W.
Brilliant place to eat.
Had Sunday lunch here. The food and service was truly fantastic..
M. E.
We eat here regularly and have chosen to over a number of other venues nearby. The atmosphere is s comfortable, staff are friendly and the food very good. Service can be a bit slow so food takes a long time to arrive but is good and worth the wait. Sometimes getting the bill has been very slow but this has improved recently I'm glad to say. The place is popular and often busy but we have never felt crowded out. This does mean that some things on the menu can disappear on a busy day. But overall a great place to eat and one of the best in Oadby.
A. B.
The food was excellent.
The serving staff 100%
E. F.
Greetings from Bavaria, nice restaurant, delicious food..beer was ok 😁😁🍺🍺

very welcome clean, attentive service good choice of menu. tasty food.
H. P.
Excellent meal. Really good environment and friendly service 👌
A. P.
Thank you to Shania our waitress, who made great efforts to make our group of 8 aged 15-93 feel welcome. Great meal had by all. Many had fish and chips, two had hunters chicken, one roast beef Sunday roast and one the candied veg roast. All very tasty and hot on arrival. Great place for families and friends to meet, but do book when you have a larger group!
t. b.
Food lovely & really friendly, helpful staff.
E. D.
Lovely pub with extremely friendly staff!! Very helpful and kind. Food was wonderful
L. T.
Went here for lunch. Had a lovely meal, fries were cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was wonderful. The service was amazing and the place itself is lovely. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend 👌
J. F.
Had wonderful rack of lamb and apple pie lots of choices for drinks recommend but book first very friendly caring staff
R. P.
good food and really friendly and helpful staff
M. M. D.
Safe environment, plenty of space and masks when needed. No mask, no entry.
As regulations eased, their H&S didn't.
And now.... Great staff, great atmosphere, oh and to top it all great food and variety of great ales and drinks. "Great".
Now my "go to" pub.
The efforts you have put in have paid off.
J. S.
Usually very high standard of food with a lovely atmosphere. Yesterday there was a very long wait for food, scallops that were still frozen and slow cooked pork that needed a steak knife to cut. Not up to its usual high standard.
G. J.
Calamari and Belly Pork to die for! Fiona was also a delightful host. We will be back.
l. c.
Very nice food excellent service good parking availability.
A. K.
I requested to book a table for 13 family members, one with an unusual food allergy problem. I had rang 2 other local restaurants who instantly said that they could not accommodate us! The Grange immediately booked us in & said the food allergy problem was not a problem at all!
I’m afraid I messed them about both the day before & on the day with the final number of folk having lunch there today! They pulled out all the strings, making our meal a big success. My family members came from Cumbria, London, Gloucestershire, Burton Overy, & Great Glen to settle our Uncle in his final resting place. We all agreed that the food, service & the patience of the staff, was second to none. Well done, particularly to Fiona B who went above & beyond!
G. B.
Lovely pub, quite spacious, great food and friendly staff. Children allowed..
C. W.
Came highly recommended from a colleague, but unfortunately took ages to find this place as the guy driving has a sense of direction almost as good as Andrew Ridgely!
Thankfully, it was a lovely place with friendly attentive staff, a decent menu and the food we chose was actually quite good. Would definitely go here again, but next time, I'll drive myself! 🤣
m. c.
Nice pub, real fire, good food and friendly staff.
J. S.
We had a very positive experience here for Sunday lunch on the bank holiday weekend. Staff explained the procedures in place and were attentive and professional. Hygiene seems to be a priority, which is reassuring. Food, as always, was very good. The vegan squashsage roll is incredible. We all had roasts for mains and were very happy with the quality.
One gripe I mentioned to our waitress when paying (availability of sanitiser in the loo in our section) but the other I forgot about - no drinks menu or online access to it. We wouldn't have chosen the Chablis at almost £29 if we'd had access to a drinks menu - our fault though for not having the sense to ask how much it was when ordering. This will not put us off returning though, I will just make sure next time I ask for a wine within my usual budget.
D. K.
Great service. Good food. Lots of parking. Dogs welcome.
A. P.
Lovely lunch with the family on sunday, we hadn't booked but they were very accommodating with fitting us in. Food was lovely and good service, you can't ask for much more than that.
K. V.
Went for a meal at this restaurant yesterday, measures that are in place are excellent. New procedures clearly explained by a member of staff. Service was timely and efficient, food was really nice and well presented. Really liked the hot drink and mini pudding option in place of the full size portion. Good value for money, will definitely return.
L. C.
Lovely food, service a bit slow
s. W.
Lovely food and staff friendly very good thanks
H. M.
This is a very good place for a good meal with your partner just like it was for myself and my wife and how enjoyable it was too, great service and the staff were attentive and helpful and friendly the food was wonderful and the apple pie was something very special. It was so nice to revisit the Vintage Inn again and again the whole experience was excellent, having arrived myself and my wife were very welcome and we felt very comfortable with the surroundings and we were delighted with the way the staff made us feel welcomed. A very special thank you to SHANIA for the way she looked after us and how helpful polite and very professional she was, she was so helpful and it was good to see someone who really cares about the customer big respect Respect for that 😊.
A. H.
Very enjoyable evening with good service and good food as usual

Waited about 45 mins for food and although the taste was nice the food was hard and over cooked. Service from staff was really good.

We had a lovely meal. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

Good food although steak very fatty. Waited a while for main courses

Shania was really friendly and accommodating. The food was lovely, including a glowing recommendation for the lasagne and trio of ice creams from an 8 year old. Always enjoy eating at Grange Farm, will definitely return.
G. A.
Lovely food and nice atmosphere. We went on an early evening for dinner and drinks.
The dining room is a little cramped and tables are quite close.. a bit too close to eachother to just sit and enjoy the company of the people your with.
Good is served ultra quick and its nice and hot. All orders were correct and all food was really tasty.
Only downside is they have changed the menu and took my favourite thing off, and not replaced it with anything similar.
We didn't have deserts or anything.
Drinks are reasonably priced.
Car park is nice and easy to use.
L. T.
Very nice food. Steaks were cooked properly and the cuts of meat were lean and tender. Deserts were of a good size too which makes a change from other places we've been to recently. There is a good 2 courses offer on which includes 2 drinks so overall, good value. Staff were polite too and answered all our questions. Will be going back.
H. B.
Need to book! Definitely worth booking a table if you’re going for any special occasion. We booked a table for 6 and got a lovely window seat over looking the beer garden. Food had a little wait, but worth it none the less. Roast dinners were huge and hot and delicious. Massive hit with all the family! Will be back.
R. J.
Good service. Good value for money. Good food.
R. P.
Good food, great staff and a nice atmosphere. Try the Sunday lunch, you won't be disappointed.
J. F.
Visited the establishment yesterday with my family, had a lovely time, the food was great and the staff were very kind. Will be coming here again :)

Beautiful pub and lovely attentive service
W. W.
Lovely meal was had, 9 of us were dining all the meals came out together as did the deserts, no one was left waiting. The food was well presented on the plate, not too much & not too little it was a good balance.
The bill was £239 including 2 rounds of drinks, happily dine here again
W. P.
A nice and chilled atmosphere here at this pub. Great selection of beer, wine and spirits. The food looked and smelt great. The menu looks good.
good variety, reasonable priced. A very clean pub, in and out.
They have a good size beer garden, plenty of seating.
Dogs are welcome.
P. K.
Amazing place to go, service was great especially as we arrived about 10.45pm.... straight for the Moët Rose💯✅. Definitely be bk soon
L. B.
Loverly food and nice atmosphere, staff excellent job,
a. n.
Great ambience. Ample outdoor sitting
P. D.
The food may have started hot in the kitchen, but was cool to warm on arrival.
One dish had to be sent back.
Although very busy, the waitress coped well.
A very good front of house member of staff.
Dealt with problems on a nearby table with skill and decoram. Even though we were overall disappointed, we did tip the waitress well. She earned her wages today.
T. W.
Beautiful pub, lovely friendly staff very helpful with the app (rahhhh) and the food was delicious. Thanks for a great experience in these challenging times.
S. C.
Good food throughout, lovely pub... ALTHOUGH I have to say the burger was very sub standard compared to the rest of the food ordered on the table. It looked and tasted extremely dry. Definitely a processed patty and nothing fresh about it. The rest of the items ordered on our table looked great so can't really fault anything else.
R. P.
Great food and lovely staff! Always so polite and friendly. Went there this weekend for a meal and there are a lot of good safety measures in place during covid, felt very safe and well looked after!
A. R.
Celebrated my partners 60th there. The staff were friendly and very nice. The assistant manager Chris was great and very helpful. The whole experience was great and my partner loved it. So thank you to all the staff that made our celebrations a nice experience. Definitely will be going again
F. G.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was busy so we had to wait a bit but so glad business is booming.
l. p.
Bit disappointed waited a while for food... Which came cold...
C.
Normally a really good place, but they really seem to struggle when it's busy! Also while I love love love that they have a new vegan menu, it has fallen into the typical trap that lots of places do where they make this strange assumption that because you're vegan you only eat the absolute healthiest foods, so they sub out chips for salad on the burger 😂 the staff are always lovely though and until my most recent visit I'd have given 5 stars. Overall I'd still recommend!
B. F.
Still a bit "faffy" with the ordering via the app, no selection of cask beer yet but still a lovely place to go for a quiet drink and a meal, polite, friendly and helpful staff.
C. P.
A meal for 4 at Sunday lunchtime
3 lamb roasts 1 chicken and leek pie,all excellent. I was particularly impressed with their Covid secure management. The 4 puddings were also excellent.
d. C.
Loved it clean , Light airy and tables great staff nice . Delicious food . Please book to avoid disappointment..
I. H.
Excellent food and friendly service.
T. W.
Really lovely place, friendly staff, good service. The food was tasty with good portion sizes. Would highly recommend.
K. P.
Good food, nicely presented & quickly served. Limited menu, but everyone enjoyed their choice. Service was friendly & efficient. Comfortable & pleasant environment with lovely open fire.
S. M.
Great Sunday lunch and location.
N. C.
Really lovely visit with family. Staff were friendly and helpful about my allergy and made sure I was well
looked after. The food was delicious and I felt safe knowing the team is well trained! Will be back soon
C. C.
Two of us went to The Grange on Tuesday for lunch. Not only was the meal delicious, I was extremely impressed with the hygiene measures they have in place. The young woman who was serving in our area immediately cleared and cleaned the tables when people left. She then sprayed the area around the tables, sprayed and cleaned the salt and pepper pots and used hand sanitizer so many times.
If anyone is still worried about eating out because of the fear of Covid, go to the Grange. They clearly have the safety of their customers a top priority.
J. L.
Really enjoyable - ate outside on the new patio. Service was quick, efficient and with a smile. Had the special pork belly and was delicious, my friend had the chicken pie! Worth having pudding too, the brownie is amazing!!!
L. F.
Very nice place to have a meal , very nice portions and very reasonable priced. The staff are always very happy to help you
r. m.
came in christmas eve , lovely atmosphere and great food
A. W.
Even though it was Mothers day the service was amazing. Staff were clearly busy but they were all cheerful and very fast under the circumstances. Food was also at a very good level. All round an excellent experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you for making my wife's and mums day so enjoyable
a. s.
We are regular visitors. A casual welcoming atmosphere with food a cut above the usual pub grub. We particularly enjoy spring and summer visits to be able to sit out under the apple trees. This year we have booked for Christmas Day dinner.
C. W.
Wonderful, polite staff, good food and service, despite reduced staff numbers due to covid restrictions. Very good hygene and distancing measures. Even a mirror on the bend in the stairs to check if anyone is coming in the oposite direction.
S.
I have been regularly eating here for over a decade and it is absolutely charming, earlier this year I switched from vegetarian to vegan and the staff were kind enough to make me a vegan pizza- which by the way was delicious! I would fully reccomend to people in the area, herbivores, families, special occasions, the lot. There's a fixed price and normal menu which changes depending on season and time of day. Also dogs are allowed in the bar area downstairs but not upstairs.
P. D.
The Hunter's chicken was very poor. Overcooked, dry. The menu led me to believe it would be served with Portobello mushrooms, but not a mushroom in sight. When I queried this , I was told the mushroom (s?) was/were blended into the sauce. Nonsense. No flavour of mushroom anywhere. Staff very polite and friendly. Welcoming warm venue. 4 stars for venue.

This was a revisit and it was great to get out and be able to go to The Grange Farm and get something special to eat and drink and have some good time with my wife, having not been out for sometimes because of the COVID 19 situation that is a very serious problem in the world and the restrictions that are in place to hopefully help us all. This was my second outing in the past six months and I was very concerned about how it was going to be, but thankfully it was a pleasure to get out and having arrived at The Grange Farm and we my wife and myself were made welcome by the staff and we were very impressed with the safety procedures that were in place, the service and the staff were excellent and helpful and very attentive and of course the food was wonderful and I'm looking forward to go back in the near future.
C. J. K.
Excellent food Excellent staff very friendly and very efficient service would definitely recommend them and would go again
R. K.
Great pud and restaurant. Good location and great gardens. Perfect for a drink and some food. Good food and drink choices. Definitely recommend.
S. L.
Good quality food and every single member of staff was friendly. We had a large booking of 20+ people, we were given an excellent space, that was clean (no sticky tables!). I would've given 5 stars but when making the reservation the staff insisted it wasn't essential to pre-order, however on arrival nobody came in to take our order and after going to the bar to enquire there was some confusion about expecting us to go up to order individually and I had to point out the size of the party. As a result we were waiting quite a while for the food. Such a shame as everything else was spot on! However I would still recommend!

Visited here for the first time on Saturday 24th November. Great place, cozy inside with lots of eating areas. Didn’t eat on this day but went back two weeks later and we had the sirloin steak and the cod loin, both were really good, well recommended. Large car park , all flood lit. Friendly staff. Very memorable evenings and will definitely go back 🙂x
A. G.
Family friendly, rustic feel to this delightful pub just off the main road into Oadby. Sunday lunch was delicious with pleasant twists of flavour. Good selection of classic meats arriving in hearty portion size, plus plenty of gravy to match!
J. B.
Lovely restaurant, packed as it was 50% off mains. Staff wonderful. Waited a little longer than usual, but was expected because of being very busy. Food was smashing! Definitely go again.
G.
We used Grange Farm for an event. It's a nice setting and staff are friendly. We opted for the buffet which looked great. The amount of food provided was very reasonable for the price. The vegan option was tasty
A. P.
Brilliant evening, good food, presented well and Vicky looked after us very well. We'll be back, with friends.
N. B.
Went for Sunday Lunch. Arrived very quickly and service very efficient. Vegetables ok but limited range. Yorkshire kept warm too long and v crispy. Small portions of meat but plenty of roasted (over-spiced for the kids). Was ok.
Puddings were better and increased the overall score.
M. J.
Visited the other day and this place is still as friendly and welcoming as previous visits. Food is delicious plenty of drink choices and the team can't do enough for you. We love visiting here.
B. R.
Good food, not perfect but reasonable and decent. Probably better than I was expecting. Wine was over priced, steak sandwich was overcooked and not as asked for and the waitress took too long to clear plates as she was too busy on her phone, however, the food was good quality and the pub itself is beautiful.
D. W.
Average mid price public house with average food offering. Staff were very good. Gents toilets could do with seats that aren't hanging off and general spruce up.
All in all, everything average apart from waiting staff who were very good.
S. C.
Delicious food, great service, good atmosphere.
j. f.
My first visit to this pub and i was hugely impressed by the efforts made in social distance measures. The staff were friendly and the food was first class. I cant wait for my next visit
D. S.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly . Didn’t eat on this occasion but food looked good. Lots of different areas for eating whether you want a night out with friends and family or a nice cozy table for two in one of the smaller rooms. Large car park .
Will definitely go back here after our first visit.......
j. m.
Had a really lovely Sunday lunch at Grange farm today. I drove up to Leicester and picked my young friend up from de montfort university and then on to Grange farm. We both had the lamb which was delicious and followed on with a mini dessert which comes with coffee or tea etc. Good value I felt. We will definitely go back.
M. C.
Went here mid day in the week. It was very lively. Had a burger and chips each, took about 30 mins total come out. Really nice setting, sat by the open fire
J. P.
Went for an early mothers day meal with the family. Everything was great food, service and atmosphere. We had the 3 course lunch time set menu for £14.95 definitely go again.
S. I.
Nice place, but food doesn't match the price. They're charging "nice restaurant" prices (two mains and two drinks was over £50) and serving glorified Wetherspoons food. My lamb was okay but the vegetables were a complete joke. Overcooked, undercooked, tough etc.
A. B.
Mothers Day was always going to be busy but very, very slow and food disappointing. Arrived 1pm. Starter arrived 1.45pm. Main arrived 2.30pm. Dessert arrived 3.15 pm. Cauliflower cheese cold ( taken off the bill ). Custard cold. Presentation of the roast was very poor with veg all overcooked. Nice environment and the serving staff friendly but will probably not return on this showing.
d. m.
Went tonight to celebrate my father in laws birthday . Staff was outstanding. Really made a great effort to make it a very special evening. Food was really good and our waitress was fantastic
J. T.
Really lovely pub, staff were very helpful. We were there for a family function and had a pint and changed in their facilities. Beautiful to sit and chill and the beer is cold enough.
P. G.
good food great service thanks vicki
F. C.
Great Sunday roast. All the gravy you want for no extra charge. Crumble of the day. A proper Sunday dinner and good beer and wine selection to go with it. Friendly staff too.
B. S.
I like the restaurant, but they didn't have 2 of the things we wanted on the menu. When i got my beef roast dinner it was so tough it asked me for a fight... My mini pud and brew came so far apart I'd finished my drink by the time my desert arrived...
L. C.
Decent food but a bit pricey, one beer unavailable completely and another was 'off' but saw someone else returning a pint a good while after we'd reported it. Staff and setting lovely.
S. C.
I was staying in an hotel down the road who's payment systems went down so I had to eat elsewhere. I chose this pub and wow, what a gem. Fantastic service, fantastic food all at a reasonable price. Would love to go back when I return to the area.
t. b.
Small portions for Sunday Roast. Only 4 roast pots and no mash or new pots. I had Trio ( 3 meats) Turkey was dry, pork was very salty and beef was like leather around edges. Over all I didn't enjoy food or price for what I received. Very busy but no excuse really. Probably would not go again. My wife and daughter complained about their beef also, they got a free apple + custard as a result. Maybe better on a not so busy time???.
A. W.
A good sized pub with plenty of parking
B. D.
Service was great. Food ok. Group of 20 of us went for xmas meal. Mains were cold but the staff changed them when we complained. Service was slow but that didn't matter so much to us as we were planning in spending the afternoon there.
R. S.
Came with my family the other day, really enjoyed the food and the service was great!
J. B.
Nice place.
Good food and service.
Definitely going again in the future.
M. J.
Had a wonderful afternoon the food was delicious good choice good portions service really friendly and helpful
M. B.
We stayed almost 4 hours for a superb lunch. The cooking was of the highest order with waitressing to match. A great experience at very short notice!
K. H.
Lovely pub, great beer garden and tasty food! There are various food deals throughout the week as well. I took my rabbit and the staff were lovely - they even brought her some carrot!
A. O.
Food was very good and staff friendly, try and get a seat near the fires in the winter (it was a bit nippy), but overall nice quiet pub to have good food and a drink at a reasonable price. (Note. Should have asked for a staff member to light the fire nearest us).
S. S.
Recently refurbished and looking nice both inside and out. Went in and there was a good real log fire burrning. Unfortunately our favourite seats in front of it were taken.Lol. We sat in the front of the right hand drink/ dinning area but we were so cold so we decided not to eat; had a drink and a coffee then left. Nice staff by the way. :-)
A. S.
Very pleasant and homely atmosphere, good food and very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended.
A. H.
My friend & i went for a drink at Grange Farm I had a bells & ginger ale the ginger ale was very tasty We were able to grab a seat which was by the door The Grange has a very cosy atmosphere there was a lovely fire going as a centre piece My friend said the food is good at the grange & he always goes there to eat on his birthday which is in July There is a good sized beer garden to the front of the grange with plenty of tables & chairs to sit out The only complaint i would make was just outside the front doors was piles & piles of cigarette butts they looked very unsightly there was no bin in the immediate area for smokers to put out their cigarette butts the Clarendon has a metal box on the wall to extinguish cigarettes but some people still drop their cigarette butts on the street!
I. M.
The Grange has a pleasant atmosphere and the bar staff are friendly enough. Personally, I am confused as to whether it's a local pub or a restaurant. The menu is reasonably comprehensive but rather expensive for a pub. The bar itself is enormous but the seating area for drinking is small.
A.
Portions were abit too small and the lamb duo mash bit wasn't that nice. The rump was 😍😍😍 they should just do the lamb rump and chips
S. C.
The Grange Farm pub is all round a lovely place to have a scrumptiously satisfying meal. It is locally located and easily accessible, with a more than large enough car park. The ambience inside (and oustide) the pub is fresh and warm in the outdoor seating area on a hot summer's day, and is quite cosy inside in the summer and also the winter. The food is warm, delicious and always cooked to perfection. One problem is that the food seems to be slightly overpriced, but that is as the portions are so large - perhaps sometimes unnecessarily large. Otherwise, the Grange Farm is a truly lovely place for a meal out and I can guarantee you will enjoy.
M. E.
An amazing evening at the Grange Farm! We were served by Megan, the pub was friendly, welcoming and the food was delicious! Would recommend to anyone, especially the vegan menu and the wide of range of food on offer!
J. P.
Had a family meal here a week ago, lovely building, managed in the room on the left (with the open fire) so was very cozy. Attentive friendly service & reasonably priced. Will go back there again.
V. E.
The food and service were both excellent, definitely would recommend 👌
K. T.
Always a nice place to visit for food and drinks, especially the roast dinners. Nice outside sitting area.
O. M.
Great burger! Really enjoyed my takeaway order. Highly recommended!
B. C.
Very nice roast meal. It was booked for 6pm and I was concerned it might be dry and not fresh but it was really nice. Price was reasonable service was excellent at the bar and table.
M. G.
Enjoyed lunch three times on Wednesdays in the last three weeks, first two excellent food, today there was certainly room for improvement. Chips & battered fish over cooked mushy peas cold & vegetables on other lunches cold. Could there be a different chef on today ?
C. L.
Great food and service and a very pleasant atmosphere .
C. C.
Great food and cosy atmosphere to relax. Excellent customer service by Shania and the crew
L. R.
Fabulous food, great staff 😋👍
Felt very safe with the set up.
C. G.
Very friendly staff in lovely surroundings
J. G.
I think the food is very lovely, the staff are very polite and the restaurant has a nice homely feel to it. A great regular place to go with my husband.
L. D.
Went for lunch had already checked the website to ensure they catered for gluten free but then received a strange response to my request for a specific menu. I was asked to download the app or check online Er why should I want to do that? Is it too much trouble to write gf or v next to an item on one menu? do your job. The waitress was however knowledgable but I was a little apprehensive to say the least. The food - burger chips and salad instead of a bun was very good. Solid but small burger but miserly chips I got 7 and my husband 8. So it is expensive for what you get and no gf pudding except fruit so suggest you add plenty of extras.
Two points - gf bread is available in every single supermarket and corner shop nowadays even Lidl so no excuse for not having any. If you don't want gf diners put it on your website and we will not turn up. Dont want our money without any effort. Also condiments have them on the table or ask before the food arrives rather than having to wait while your food goes cold. With a coffee and coke came to aver £30
M. K.
Lovely food and great staff. Very enjoyable and felt safe with all their measures in place.
P. J.
Great pub for food & drinks
j. g.
Amazing food wonderful Customer service - fully recommend their roasts
R. S.
Food too long to come and it was good that waiter did not charge for drinks.
R. H.
Nice food, lovely wood fire, quiet but enough people not to feel awkward. Only issue I had was no lactose free milk or milk replacement for coffee.
A. A.
I went there for lunch. I had a vegi burger which came in a small baguette. It was ok not amazing and agree with some of the other reviews that portion is very small for what you pay. I had to order some chips on the side as well. Small burger and chips came just under £12!!
A. B.
Amazing service over the Bank Holiday. Great food lovely environment!!
L. G.
So welcoming, cosy, great service, amazing food worth going
T. M. -. Y.
Its very encouraging that they have a full vegan menu. Ive been 3 times with a large group, the vegan desserts- apple pie and chocolate torte both yummy but the vegan burger and the cauliflower salad were very underwhelming
J. M.
Good food, but far too long from sitting down to having our order taken (the place was all but empty so busyness wasn't the issue) and again far too long for the meals to arrive and between courses.
J. B.
Great to to go and visit our local for some good food and service.
V. B.
My Brother and sister-in-law took me for a birthday treat. Really enjoyed the meal, will definitely come again. Would recommend it to everyone.
M. S.
Visited on 3rd July. The ambience is beautiful but the service was extremely
slow , we were in the restaurant over two hours having had only two courses & no coffees, they did not appear busy-perhaps more staff needed !
The menu was very limited as most of the items were not available
Staff were pleasant.
g. e.
After a disastrous visit last month, having only had good experiences with my bestie before, we decided to give it another go. Mollie, who doesn't normally work Saturday, was amazing, a lovely, friendly, warm person who made our pre Christmas meeting extra special. Thank you Mollie, Merry Christmas xxxx
A. S.
Lovely meal but fire alarm kept going off and spoilt the enjoyment. No one came to reassure anyone. As a result our dessert was not forthcoming. A real Dissapointment.
D. C.
Good food. Nice atmosphere
D. L.
Great place and great food. Could be a bit pricey but if you get the Pride of the borough or Gourmet Society card then you get 25% off your whole bill so it makes it good value.
R. D.
The service was poor - waiting staff were disorganized and slow and though the food was good it was expensive for what you get. Burgers very overpriced for their quality.
D. H.
Pleasant surroundings. Average choice of food . Service very slow waited 40 minutes for starter followed by a further wait for main course. Disappointed with level of service.
A. W.
Overpriced, food was OK ish..Don't know if they know how to keep a good bitter although the bar man knew how to serve a Pims. The pub is nicely and tastefully decorated. Staff are friendly
S. W.
This old farm house has a lovely cosy atmosphere. There is a good choice of menu and drinks options. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and efficient.
M. C.
On the up, after a couple of years where the service was poor and the food was mediocre, it's improving again, the meal was nice all round and the staff were friendly and professional. I recommend trying again.
V. T.
Easily one of the best pub/restaurants to date in Leicester. Good was perfect and staff including Megan was extremely friendly and always had a smile.
Thanks,
Vikesh
J. D.
Nice glass of Peroni whilst I sat outside. Quite a popular place and the menu looks good. Have been here for Sunday dinner but not tried anything else from the menu
S. K.
Lovely atmosphere, great staff, meals were good, apart from a couple of beef meals were quite fatty, but we were compensated for that, Bramley Apple pie was superb!
L. C.
Very good Sunday roast and lovely relaxing atmosphere, great friendly service and a good selection of food and drinks.
k. H.
Food was lovely and staff nice. Recommended
L. M.
Portion size was OK when you have chips with your meal they ask if you want them triple cooked to make them crispyer they taste normal not really crispy at all kinda soft steak was disappointing
All together OK but not worth the price you pay
You can get the same for a lot cheaper
D. S.
This is a really lovely gem situated in the small village of The Langton Along the B6047. Lots to look at as there's craft units and gift shopping too. The cafe offers lovely food and there's Donkeys that are always happy to be made a fuss of.
R. H.
Good service and pleasant atmosphere
B. L.
Always have a great time here whether for food or drink. Great range of all! Come here often and never disappointed
J. P.
An excellent evening meal served by professional staff. Only just visiting Leicester after 15 years and the price/quality has not changed in all those years.
T. M.
The service was good but had problems with my food. Hand to send it back.
J.
Service and setting are great, but the food is mediocre at best. Soggy chips, tough steak and a panna cotta that resembled scrambled eggs!
G. B.
Great meal today! Really good service and a great range of drinks, the set lunch menu is really good value.
s. b.
Nice place, nice food. They took the covid 19 rules very seriously. Friendly staff too.
J. P.
Quality had drop over recent times
W. W.
It's a friendly, warm, nicely decorated pub with a warm fire and a very acceptable range of good food. Always busy with a good atmosphere.
G. B.
We always enjoy our Friday evenings here and our pints of Estrella
j. h.
A very enjoyable meal once it arrived, only downside it took over an hour before food arrived, we were a large party.
J. D.
Very much enjoyed the food we ordered. Nice to find food cooked from raw ingredients! Would definitely recommend
M. R.
Good quality of food, going frequently there
Nice surroundings
S.

L. B.
Visited Grange Farm yesterday. Lots to choose from on the menu, food was delicious and staff friendly and attentive. Clearly a popular place. Great atmosphere.
B. B.
Nice pub great location good food. Only down fall the bar service is so slow! Have to wait for a drink
S. P.
Nice food and friendly staff.
M. B.
Nice food. Very well cooked and fresh... if a little slow service. But overall happy with food.
L. S.
Characterful building, well written menu, but the quality of the food was low. Enthusiastic, hard-working staff.
C. S.
Great food, good vegan options, friendly and efficient staff and relaxed environment, coped well with a large group.
J. S.
Great meal. Lovely sitting outside but a shame they don't plant some shrubs to protect you from a busy road.
M. H.
Food was nice just a very long wait over 40 mins to get food when it wasn't busy portion size a little small for the money they charge
C. C.
Very nice ambiance and great tasting food. Well worth a visit.
N. H.
Nice place. Pity that it's shown in the wrong place. I've made an edit, but in the meantime, if anybody is looking for The Grange Farm, it's on Florence Wragg way, not Glenn Road. I'm amazed by how often this happens; it makes a mockery of the whole thing. Is it competing chains who are sabotaging each other's entries? And how come the owners don't claim the listing for themselves so that it can't be changed?
R. B.
Nice menu and decent outside beer garden.
K. I.
Excellent photo, friendly service. Couldn't ask for better, very satisfied 🙂
G. W.
Always have a good meal here 😋. Service is friendly and generally good. Atmosphere is cosy and inviting
