Stopped by for a family of 11 meal after a trip out and was very pleased with the service we received. Food was tasty hot and served in good time that quick we were surprised. Nice bar staff who dealt with our large order with ease. Assistance instantly for the use of the disabled toilet which was also in Very clean condition. Nice warm cosy atmosphere. Full marks wetherspoons we shall be back.

What can you say about a wetherspoons pub . Always delivers good service , polite staff and nice decor. Food today , as always was quickly served , tasted delicious and reasonably priced . Good beer and spirits with plenty of selection to satisfy all palates . A brilliant place to visit whilst shopping or drinking in leicester city centre . Your loss if you you do visit .

The highcross shopping centre is a nice venue in the city centre its very spacious but the only disappointment was the amount of stores that have closed or moved the main one being Debenham a lot of the cafes that are no longer open. But it does offer a good cinema experience and other bigger eateries just outside of highcross not under a roof but part of the experience.

Wetherspoon's food never disappoints me because of the deliciously large portions at affordable prices. We went for lunch and it was busy but still many seatings available. Food came rather quickly, but they forgot my onion rings which was part of my burger. Told the waiter and a fresh batch was promptly brought to us. My favourite is their chicken wings - so so delicious 😋

This is a shopping centre full of high quality product stores, some of the best stores are in here, Menkind, Hotel Chocolat, Build a bear, Boots, Samsung, Applestore etc .. everything. Even has a post office and photo booths and the information desk which knows all... The high cross is very Spacious , Clean , has great lighting , has very good security, powerbanks are placed throughout for your convenience in case you need a charge for your phone.. by the way this is free! They have disability access and elevators too. The wc facilities are kept clean and tidy and they even have a faith room. They have literally kept everyone in mind and it's beautiful. Quite often people forget to but... honestly next time you pass through, LOOK UP at the wonderful roof! Even I forget half the time. There's also artwork to look out for and if you're lucky there's even random events and demonstrations to look out for. No two days are the same!

Food is okay and arrived quickly. Portion size depends on who's cooking; can go from generous to a bit on the small size. Staff are nice but fail to pick up left glasses and plates from the previous customer on the table you're sitting when they drop off the food.

Walked straight in and found a table . Drinks nice, we ordered food on the app and it came quickly, I have Rainbow Quinoa salad every time, with additional grilled halloumi - delicious. All good, the food is really great value not the best quality but not poor quality and definitely worth the money. The service was quick but some staff a bit patchy. Good COVID system. The toilets however were disgusting: seat covered in pee, unflushed toilets. Not great but overall would recommend and will go again.

First of all its a "Spoons" so we all know what the basics are that we expect. The Covid thing is causing uproar everywhere and is difficult for these places but it was being handled fairly well. Breakfast was ordered by six of us some via the app whilst sat at the table which it appears you are unable to tweak the plates easily (get rid of mushrooms/beans etc) so end up having to get a member of Staff to take alterations to the kitchen. It was quite busy so I am willing to try breakfast here again in the hope that the breakfasts will improve, Every egg was over cooked be it fried or poached and if we could have been bothered we would have complained but the Staff seemed under a lot of pressure. All of us have had a drink in here of an evening and in the main it has been fine apart from the odd overzealous member of Door/Security staff but these are unprecedented times and we all have to adjust so we will be back to try again next week.

Very different due to social distancing, you have to have at table (max 6 people) and register your visit with track and trace. Visited on a Friday night and bearly 20 people in there wheras before it would have been crammed. You can still order at the bar which is good as not all drinks and offers are available on the app. Plastic screens and sanitiser everywhere which makes it a less social experience but keeps everyone safe. Staff cleaning regularly too. Quite an odd experience really. Don't think I'll rush back but that's due to the global crisis and just not feeling entirely comfortable rather than any reflection on this pub.

This is defiantly a firm favourite pub. It is a calm and relaxed place. Often go for a nice breakfast on Monday. However, sometime there service can be slow, all my friends had their food way before me. As well, the staff can be a little rude sometimes.

I am always a bit wary about Wetherspoons pubs. They attract a certain type of clients I feel I have very little in common with. The venue itself was clean and tidy, unlike some other pubs in the chain I had set foot in. The food was of decent quality for the price, mind you I only had a burger and chips so I leave you to draw your conclusions. Service was good, not overly courteous but efficient.

My friends and I often go to The High Cross Pub. We enjoy having chats whilst having a welcome meal. The meals are always very tasty and well presented. You can have as many cups of tea or coffee as you want. Just refill your cup. Fantastic.

I’ll give it 3 stars since it’s not that bad a place, cheap drinks so I can’t complain about that. Fairly nice place too, good atmosphere, staff are usually pretty decent. However the two times I’ve gone to eat there haven’t been the best. The first time I went to eat there with some friends, the first time the oinion rings were a bit too raw and the server didn’t give any of us any cutlery, let alone sauces, didn’t ask either, we waited a few minutes thinking maybe they’d come back but they never did so we then had to go to the bar to ask for cutlery. The second time I went which was today, two of us had the buttermilk chicken burger and I had a side of halloumi fries. We both found frozen chips , solid , frozen chips in our meals. My burger was fairly nice, although I’ve noticed they don’t put much salad on them which isn’t that big of a deal in terms of a review. The chicken fillet was really nice though i’ll give them that. My halloumi fries were warm, barely heated and were extremely chewy, which in my experience shouldn’t be the case. This time we did get cutlery though !! We were still not offered any condiments and I’ve noticed they don’t do check backs with any of the customers, again not a big deal but I think check backs show customer care. All in all it’s a decent place but I don’t recommend going there If your main goal is food

Cut hand and foot, wasn't offered replacement drink, even though I was covered in glass. I had to ask for a new one. Apart from that usually quiet a cheap and cheerful place.

Came for a lunchtime drink and meal. It was very busy as would be expected since it's so popular. Moderate wait for my meal which, when it came, was hot and plentiful as well as being inexpensive. My chosen Real ale was fine. Wetherspoon pubs are much of a muchness and users shouldn't be surprised since they're all cheap and cheerful to a formula and not bespoke boutique restaurants that some of the people who have made negative comments here seem to think they're coming to!

It's a Wetherspoons. You know what your going to get. Cheap beer, good food, and the occasional drunk propping up the bar. Been here a good few times food has always been good. It does get quite busy in here, and finding a table can be quite a task. But, always a good selection of national and local ales to choose from.

Very friendly and helpful staff but they were woefully understaffed on a Christmassy Tuesday lunchtime, with three people attempting to serve a horde of about thirty people consistently queueing at the bar. It took me about 25 minutes to get served and then almost an hour for food to arrive. I've been coming to the High Cross for years, and it's a pretty standard 'spoons - not great, not terrible, but they definitely need to improve staffing levels for when they know it's going to be busy.

Food was ok a certain member of staff could do with going on a customer care course, rude was an understatement. 2 customers asked her if there was any milk for the hot drinks they were having. Instead of going over to them she shouted across the room "THE MILKS THERE" and pointed. The customers then had to tell her again that there wasn't any left. I then went over to her and told her that there wasn't any milk when I went to get some and her attitude was awful, she walked off speaking very loudly and proceeded to shout across the room to me that she'd worked there for 9 years and knows what shes talking about. That is not customer care it's down right rude and I'm surprised she's lasted that long if that's her attitude towards paying customers, I wish I'd have taken her name as she needs disciplining. All I can say is to whoever is in charge that shes average height dark blonde hair and wore glasses, if she reads this she'll know for sure what I'm talking about and who I'm talking about.

It's a traditional Weatherspoon's pub (meaning it has no music). As you would expect from Weatherspoon's, you get great value. I even noted that decent spirit brands had really good offers - like doubles and a mixer for under £5. As for atmosphere, well, it's always really busy and gets a decent mix of people all through the week. What surprised me most about The High Cross was the standard of the food; I don't expect much from a pub, but the burgers were great. Had breakfast here from time to time as well and never been let down.

The outdoor areas to the rear has lovely tables and chairs to relax and socialise, and there's also tables and chairs in the streets at the main entrance so you can sit outside in a relaxing environment as the rear outdoor area of the pub is enclosed by high walls and some people have said they feel claustrophobic.

Standard Wetherspoons. Busy, insanely cheap, decent beer and food and of course, no music. You can't really moan at a Wetherspoons though as it is the perfect place for some cheap pre-drinks or somewhere to have a chat where you can actually hear one another. Good selection of beers and spirits. You won't be finding Gins anywhere else that is cheaper than here. The food is good also. There are no pool tables or pub games but you'll have plenty of change left afterwards.

Went to the Highcross on Thursday with my son, on curry night. We only went there for a drink, whilst we decided where to eat. Decided in the end to eat here. We both had the large chicken vindaloo and upgraded to the garlic nann. One of the best curries I've had. I've tried practically all the curry restaurants in leicester and this curry on Thursday was one of the if not the best in leicester I've had.
