This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff are also really friendly especially Jennie who made my visit very welcoming! You can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food was really nice and the desserts were to die for especially the Doughnuts and Biscoff I tried! Would highly recommend this pub!

Hello. I visited this lovely pub with my husband Boris Henkel on our trip to Leicester today. We were were thirsty and hungry after our Leicestershire fishing trip, but a lovely young lady named Jennie made sure we were well looked after. She provided excellent service and we think she is lovely; she even shared our love of fish with us. She recommended the cod goujons to us, so we got 4 portions to share between us, plus one side salad as I’m watching my waist line. Boris also had a burger cheese slice as cheese is favourite food (a bargain for just 95p), and he said it was a beautiful texture and melted in the mouth. If we are ever on a fishing trip nearby I’m sure we will be returning, especially if Jennie is present. 5/5 stars from the henkels. Also it’s dog friendly so we will bring our dog Barney henkel to enjoy the double beef pisstop pie as he loves a bit of juicy steak

The loaded dog has a fantastic selection of drinks. Very impressed with its selection of lillys ciders. There is a good variety of flavours and some which you do nit expect for example the tropical fruit cider which tastes like a nice tropical fruit juice. The atmosphere is nice and the place draws a good chilled out crowd.

Been coming here for years. The food is always great and there are a number of themed nights such as 25p wings. Not going to lie don't come here expecting fine dining and service. But for a quick bite and great value food with some great craft beer and ciders it's well worth it.

Music is always too loud to enjoy a conversation in the evening. Toilets require a serious deep cleanse as they smell no strongly of ammonia. For a student pub drink prices aren't overly cheap. On the other hand food is well priced and standard quality for a pub chain. The more card rewards system is a good idea as they can also be used in other More pubs.

Really good student pub. Solid burger and pint deal and some of the other food options are decent. Does a large variety of regular and special events but it can get very packed and seating is very rare on any of the larger events. Toilets can also be a bit of a state, though perhaps this should be considered the norm for a student pub. Location is good for the end of Uni of Leicester society bar crawls.

A popular student bar that is good for groups. It has sports on several TVs around the main bar. Food offers during the week are good although the drinks are on the pricey side. Pool tables, consoles and other games plus handy charging points on some of the tables

Selection of beers is decent, food is decent too, prices a little high for what it is....but it's a clean spacious pub and good service, fantastic for sporting events as they have loads of screens, a projector and some of the bench seats inside even have usb ports to charge your phone!

Spacious and stylish pub, popular with the youth, especially from the local University of Leicester. Fantastic atmosphere when not to busy, but can get uncomfortably crowded with tipsy students on weekend evenings. Has great TVs for watching sports. Serve good quality food decently fast and has a wide selection of drinks and a long bar with lots of space to stand. Unfortunately no carpark, but you can park in the Victoria Park carpark, literally opposite the pub.

Just wanted something (anything) to eat before a gig at De Montford Hall which is just round the corner. Looks sort of rough but is as it is due to being a pub for students. We had a nice meal and drink and have no issues whatsoever.
