Great 'spoons, nice food. I had the veggie lasagna for a change, it was very nice and surprised me (I'm not a vegetarian). Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable building as seen in the photos attached. Great place to visit

Went for Valentine's offer. Food was fine but service is not good. We ordered main and dessert as per offer. After 20 mins staff came and asked if we were ready for dessert. We hadn't even be served with our mains. Then there was no tartare sauce although staff did eventually find me some mayo. The desserts then failed to appear and as we had to leave the car park we had to forego them. Have not been here for a couple of years but now run down with tables not wiped and staff confused. A disappointing experience.

A nice spacious atmosphere but standards seem to have slipped a bit recently. I used to visit quite regularly before the pandemic and considered it one of the best Wetherspoon pubs in Britain with regards to cleanliness, service, food quality etc. Unfortunately not quite as good on my recent visit. Several menu items including chicken mains and one draught beer were unavailable. They didn't have any of the sauces to accompany the food, and the toilets didn't have any working dryers, and were generally not in a good state of repair. There was also quite a lot of mess in the toilets considering it was not very busy and early afternoon. On the plus side, the pizza was cooked particularly well (not underdone like most), the beer was served in the correct glasses, and the staff were very friendly.

About three miles from the city centre you'll find this busy Wetherspoon s. Lots of older clientele and fewer students compared to the city centre one's. Very cosy inside with a real fire, nice carpet and low ceiling. Unlike most of the other pubs in the chain this one is a new build

Because of its long name, its typically just called by locals "Weatherspoon's", after the company who operates it. Like many Spoons pubs, the lord keeper provides affordable all-day food and a free selection of ales and beers, at least one of which is bound to be to your taste. The food is pretty good quality and portion size (and caters to all diets) of the cost. Interior is pleasant and staff are friendly. You are always likely to get a table here, though it can crowd up at suppertime.

I had a pizza takeaway and asked for lots of pizza sauce on the base and to my surprise when receiving it it was 2" smaller than it was supposed to be and unsliced, so I complained to be told that chef made the base deeper to hold the sauce and they've stopped cutting the pizza now ? So I went home and cut it myself and to be fair the pizza was excellent, so the chef new what he was doing there's 4 places on the parade that do pizza 3 takeaways and the Lord keeper of the tavern (weatherspoons) and the Lord keepr is the best by a mile I would highly recommend this place for pizza

Just returned home from an afternoon visit (Saturday). Busy but not overcrowded. Absolutely fine. Usual Wetherspoons fare, quickly/eficiently served. Clean and COVID Compliant. Courteous and polite service. Chef took the trouble to attend the table and make sure all was satisfactory. Very polite staff. When in the area will definitely visit again. No hesitation in recommending this venue.

Just dropped in for a late breakfast. It was okay but not as good as I remember last time. Perhaps because they were busy. Staff nice and friendly as always and a good selection of beer on draught - it's definitely the best place for a cold refreshing pint (but sadly it was breakfast so perhaps I will pop in later in the week for a pint). Staff very helpful; friendly and polite. Childten allowed in if dining with an adult in one side of the dining areas. Disabled toilet/baby changing facilities on ground floor. Toilets men/ladies on ground floor also. Always kept clean and tidy. Nice mix of people young and old use this pub. Car parks nearby.

The food was tasty and good value. As it was a hit evening they opened all the large windows so the terrace area became an extension of the restaurant and that kept everywhere cool. Only downside seemed to be lack of glasses.... I just got one glass for two different drinks.

A large, open pub with a fairly warm, but flat atmosphere. As with all Wetherspoons venues, the food is to a decent standard and the staff are approachable all for a reasonable price. Unfortunately the flat atmosphere and the lack of anything but tables and chairs made the rest of the experience feel more lacking than it was. I would recommend this place for anyone who doesn't want to spend as much as you might on a restaurant meal.

Nice place for a massive choice of International drinks and beers. Fast food service and good quality with original sauces not sachets. My favourite is the Buttermilk chicken burger with chips salad and Kronenbourg for only £5.90 ! Family friendly and relaxing with free car parking nearby..could do with improved lighting otherwise great !

Each time we visit we are told about the responsible drinking which is 2 alcoholic drinks per parent. Honestly we are not kids, instead of keep telling parents this put a notice up. As adults we know our limits and wouldn't over indulge. There are other customers who aren't with kids, who are allowed to consume a load of alcohol. They could be irresponsible to others but they are allowed to carry on as they are.

Turned up on a Saturday morning for a cooked breakfast and a coffee. £5 for a large full English and £1.50 for unlimited hot drinks is a fantastic deal. Breakfast was great; bacon – 10/10, mushrooms – bingo, black pudding – snap. Minor criticism – more distance between the eggs and the beans. I may want to mix them but I want that to be my decision. Use a sausage as a breakwater… but I’m nitpicking, on the whole a very good effort – seven on ten.

Came here for a pint and then breakfast. On both occasions the place was full of punters. But the staff remained on top form and ensured our breakfast was delivered hot and fresh. Beers on tap are varied and there is something for everyone. If you are around Oadby, this place is worth a stop off.

Excellent food, selection of drink and atmosphere, short waiting times, staff are friendly, approachable, polite and helpful, and always offer friendly service with a smile and inquiry into whether or not you're enjoying your meal, but at an appropriate time, it is clear they take the time to wait until you have samples the food, but approach when you don't have your mouth full, allowing you to respond accordingly, seems like a small thing but makes all the difference, really makes you feel like they genuinely want your feedback rather than simply keeping up appearances, would definitely recommend

Wetherspoons can be a bit hit or miss, but the Lord Keeper is consistently good. All the meals are well cooked with short waiting times, even when it's quite busy. The app works really well, but needs more options. Soda water cant be selected. Also a comments section is needed for things like no ice.

Its a Spoons good value food and cheap beer! Rightwing propaganda on the tables left by the tax avoiding owner. You know what your getting. Its a well run pub and the staff are great tbh. You can sit out front with the resident alcoholics discussing your stroke medication and recovery over another pint the doctor told you not to have. Or inside in one if the many booths. Best coffee in Oadby, with a policy you can abuse to get your own back on the poverty that their arch brexiteer owner is trying to trick you in to accepting.

This Wetherspoons has revised their menu with a lovely assortment of nice breakfast selections - including bagels - it's very popular and filling and great value for money. The Venue still caters for those of us who just want to enjoy a simple English Breakfast. I recommend the tasty avocado bagel and poached egg options. Bon appetit!
