Had the Sunday roast lunch with Family. Nice rear Restaurant room. Food was cooked ok. Yorkshire with stuffing in them were good with a crispy top! Average pricing and Staff attentive. Only negatives were the server on the meats used the same knife to cut all three meats and I don’t eat Beef. For the price there should be a Vegetarian gravy on offer.

Immaculately presented landlord, well aware of his customers needs overseeing a dozen diners poring over a beautifully presented and eclectic menu. First class cuisine and service, no wonder this place already has such great ratings and deservedly takes pride of place amongst other emperors of public houses within the good beer guide.

Lovely home made Sunday roast, the food was well presented, well prepared and piping hot, after dinner we sat in the garden and enjoyed a drink in the sun, if you are after a traditional Sunday dinner this is perfect.

The environment is generally charming and hygiene is maintained to the highest standard. The carvery is good value and the staff are polite, however in recent times their rate of service has declined in that it's become something of a lottery as to who gets asked if they would like a dessert or not when the dishes are being cleared away.

Really nice local pub. Nice and clean and tidy inside and out. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Made ourselves, daughter and son in law and 2 young grandsons very welcome. It has a lovely outside courtyard area plus a big family garden with picnic bench tables and well mown grass. and well kempt flower borders, hanging baskets and tubs. Bouncy castle for the kiddies when ok to put one up. And sturdy climbing frame, slide and swing area. Our little grandsons loved it We didn't eat there but the food looked good. Will definitely go there again. Pub car park to the side of the pub and good off street parking close by. Would definately recommend to friends and family and anybody reading this review..

Always nice to visit the Queen Vic, always made to feel welcome, plenty of out door space in the summer and they have bouncy castles for the kids in the summer months. They also have a lovely dinning building where you can get a lovely Sunday dinner or take the good lady for a romantic meal in the evening. 5 stars all the way from us it would be 10 stars if it went that high

We visited here as a family for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was very busy and is very popular. They serve a carvery which is good and is reasonably priced. The only downside s were that the table hadn't been cleaned very well and the glasses on the table were dirty. Not quite sure that the local clientele in the pub are very friendly! On the whole, it was good value

Went during beer festival, had a steel band in back garden. This place really knows how to entertain. Free ice poles for the kids too due to it being very hot. Eaten here too before, Sunday roast is the best

Went to the Carribean event and it was really good fun. The atnosphere was great, bouncy castles for the kids and the entertainment was funny. The food was good although a little expensive for what we got. The sun was out so we sat in the garden and there was plenty of shade.

Thirty two years since I've been here. Always after a game for Syston RFC they've moved and the pubs changed a little but the Old Original is still great. Food is usual pub grub, and there is nothing wrong about that.

This is a lovely pub in Syston it's a few minutes walk away from the town centre the drinks are reasonable there's a lovely outside garden area in the back the decor is warm and inviting toilet facilities are available in doors and and outside

MUST HAVE CHANGED OWNERSHIP. Before I was not welcomed and patrons of the pub were ignorant. Today the gentleman behind bar was friendly and polite. Such a Contrast. 👍🍻

Nice friendly village pub on outskirts of Leicester, local ales and guest beers outside tables and kids play areas, Does carvery type food on tuesdays for around 12 quid per 2 people aimed mainly at retired folk, Does wedding receptions and the like in restaurant area and even hosts an airgun club on monday evenings called Redhill Revolvers for black country bell target and other activities.
