C. G.A "pub" for me isn't about a few pennies cheaper or the choice of over 30 different beers or bitters.
It's about a friendly atmosphere, banter, and a feel of local togetheness.
The Tom Hoskins ticked all the important boxes for me and I will be going in again and again after my first time visiting with my uncle Bill (who's a regular) and other family members.
Great pub, great staff.

Disco was very good except for one complaint requested you'll never walk alone for my mate. But DJ wouldn't play because landlord told him no because it was a liverpool song.

It has the disused brewery attached with many items dating back to 1877.
R. W.Could have been more welcoming. Landlord looked like he had just climbed out of bed. Scruffy. Doom bar off, disappointment. Landlady busy, made an effort with appearance. No signs of food on offer. One pint and gone! So much more could have been done, a welcoming smile would not have gone amiss, a quiet TV baring sports thanks to landlords sudden presence not appreciated. Needs to do more.
K. E.A old fashioned no frills local pub. Nothing fancy on the bar, a loyal clientel and (strangely) an in house barbers?? Fancy it not definitely not (the ladies smells really weird) but the serve a fair pint at a fair price.
C. C.Cracking pub, definitely made for proper Leicester City FC fans. Good atmosphere, friendly, smiling staff. Much bigger than it looks for the outside too. Definitely recommend!
