Reviews of The White House - JD Wetherspoon
D. N.
Everytime I have eaten there, the food has been lovely.
I must recommend the Curry Club meals they are great value for money and they are just as good as a takeaway.
The staff on my last visit couldn't have been more helpful and polite which also helps when you have a disability.
Excellent service and excellent quality.
Cheers Darren

Easy to park, plenty of tables and the food is very affordable. Shannon was very good and friendly.

Good drinks never been an issue , poor food. Had a large fish and chips, for the price paid definitely not worth it was mainly batter. Even by Wetherspoons standards this was terrible. When we asked the server to look she simply said ok and walked away.
Some of the menu items are average but relative to what you pay for.
J. N.
Probably one of the best Wetherspoons I’ve visited. Very clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly. I’ve been a couple of times now, both for breakfast and dinner. Both occasions have been great. The only thing I dislike is that they’ve taken black pudding off the breakfast menu. I would definitely recommend
M. C.
Fantastic Wetherspoons, friendly staff, good beer, nice food. Lovely and interesting building and large garden (see photos). It's a big building with plenty of seating indoors and as much again in the huge garden. Some outdoor tables have gazebos over them do even if it rains you'll be fine. You can also have a walk around the village, look at the church and feed the ducks (although the pond is a bit hard to find). Which will help burn off those Wetherspoons calories/meals. For science lessons please visit foxteach. Enjoy your visit to "The White House" and walk around Scraptoft, we traveled a good distance to get there and it was worth it! 🙂🍺🍝🥘 Enjoy!

Had a job round the corner and I needed somewhere to post up and waste a hour. Found my self in comfortable surroundings.. lovely helpfull staff and very reasonably priced food.
J. M.
Very good pub. A big place with a lot of seating inside and outside. And with friendly staff. Nice food and great varieties of drinks.

Went for breakfast and it was lovely, the food was well cooked and Not greasy like some places. I ordered using the app which was very easy to use. I thought I would add some images of the menu so you can decide if it’s for you. Highly recommend for a decent price.
P.
It's o.k 99p never ending coffee I had cappuccino which was tepid. Straight out machine straight down my throat. But it tasted good. I had flat white after that which was good. Breakfast was o.k plenty of it but I would rather have a bit more quality and a bit less food. Some times less is more. Staff were helpful and pleasant. But that is only my opinion so go and try for yourself and put on your review. Thanks for your time.

Had lunch here. Jacket potato with cheese and beans. Good portion of salad served with it too. Nice jacket. Skin not too hard (or crusty) which I dislike. Other people had panninis which they enjoyed too. Ordered on app. Service prompt despite being busy. Lovely seat in a gazebo in the pub garden decorated for the jubilee. There was even a mini fete in the garden. Service friendly.
K. M.
Excellent place to eat. Also affordable prices.
N. E.
I had been fancying the chicken breast burger with bacon and cheese for a few days and so that's what I ordered. But the chicken was overcooked and was hard to eat so I didn't enjoy it as much as usual. I did however enjoy the halloumi fries very much. Also prices online do not reflect on the menu as they have put there prices up. Other than that a nice experience as usual.
E. L.
Very nice place garden was beautiful backdrop to eat food. Plenty of tables and food was okay. The person serving behind the bar wasn't very approachable to say she was a team leader. Busy talking to another staff member. No smiles or thanks but other then that enjoyed it
C. L.
Our first time at the White House since it became a wetherspoons, it was very very busy, we found a table to our amazement, we ordered at the bar, the waitress said it could be a 40 minute wait, we said that would be ok not a problem, low and behold within 10 minutes our meal arrived, it was delishers. The team was short staffed lots of glasses on tables, but the manager went straight to work on his arrival, the team had the tables cleared and cleaned in no time at all. So well done to the manager and his hard working staff on the first sunny Saturday of the year. We will definitely be going there again.
T. G.
The burger I had was mostly good. Filling - lovely. Sauce - tasty. Burger bun - fell apart whilst eating it. I also had an issue with my mayonnaise, it looked like a final scene executed by Ron Jeremy. What a mess.
A. V. H.
Perfect pub chill out love it, busy but worth the wait xx
G. P.
Came across this place by accident. The food is amazing the staff friendly and prices were surprisingly low. Have since been back and although an hours drive away, it is now set in maps as favourite. We intend to go as often as possible.
R. C.
One of the very beautiful wetherspoons, the building is absolutely beautiful, and worth visiting. Its quite neat and clean, and quite large, more than a 100 tables apparently...
The staff is courteous and smiling, good seating, and interiors are beautiful to look at. The area around outside is beautiful and calm...
The outdoor seating is also good for a warm day... Will recommend visiting for sure...
We'll be back...
m.
Amazing outdoor seating area. Good menu, loads of choice. Drinks come included with meals.
G. G.
Love the white house! Many a good time had here. Good food, good prices. Lovely outside area.
N. r.
This is the 1st time I've been down here and I would recommend this place to anybody it is a lovely place Ace to anybody it is a lovely clean pub and the place is very nice and clean and I had a lovely dinner and it was not and it was not overcrowded
J. M.
Weathies best pub in Leicester. Beautiful building previously a popular wedding venue located well away from the city centre.
Food and drink exactly as you expect. Fantastic value and amazingly fast table service using the app.
R. A.
It's a decent wetherspoons. Interesting building, there isn't enough parking but the garden is super
B. B.
Lively buzzing pub with good well priced food and drink, lovely beer garden with ample space
J. J.
Lovely old monor house type pub with a log fire. Quite busy which is a good sign. Fish and chips with a alcoholic drink £8.45. You can't go wrong
S. D.
I loved the meals there good service go there next time
D. H.
Best spoons I've been in. Massive gardens, really nice old building. We did the easter egg hunt with the kids, it was great.
B. S.
Wonderful food nice place to bring your family went there with mine today and was amazing veg and meat options available
V.
A nice setting with lots of parking. The staff are friendly and so is the atmosphere. Been here a few times, Sundays are busy but the food is nice and a good price.
J. B.
Clean and cheap. Excellent building. Owner of the chain is a moron but staff are nice.
D. S.
Very big wetherspoons, large carpark and outside garden.
Food was quick, staff very polite and food nice ,shame about the carvery not being on no more.
B. B.
Had a wonderful time staff are excellent I enjoyed my chilled bear and vegetarian pizza oh and some spicy peanuts.
B. B.
love the Whitehouse so much we always enjoy our dinner what ever we have, the staff are really friendly, been to many pubs for dinner, but can't beat the Whitehouse 🙂
K. B.
It's nice when the suns out, it can get busy though so lots of people on them sunny days
K. M.
Very good service and one of the poshest looking JD witherspoons in Leicester.. With different rooms and a very nice outdoor area too.
R. S. S.
love the fact that u can order food n deinks from the app at the table n they come serve u it. hate waiting at the bar
G. s.
This is the first time me and the family have been here, the food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful...
Will definitely be back for more 👍
J. H.
Huge beer garden, lovely building but the dragon on the door causes more tension amongst punters than she prevents, putting us off going on a weekend night.
S. B.
Lovely setting inside n out, great service, wonderful food, excellent friendly staff 😊
R. B.
Very nice place with much history about it we have only recently started using the white house, but I can say that the food is always excellent here. And it's a witherspoon so price is very reasonable. They have a lovely beer garden so is an excellent place during the warmer months too.
S. I.
Good fish and chips meal.
Fish cooked well.
S. L.
Could do with a play area for the kids
G. G.
Good stuff and can order on a app when sitting outside in the sun
P. G.
The white house is a great wetherspoons to go to. The prices are good, staff are friendly and there's plenty of space to sit. A lot of parking outside with a massive beer garden which is delightful in the summer! Five different ciders on draught and a good selection of beers and ales as well. Would recommend. The food here is also fairly standard, coming out quick as well.
S.
Lovely place lovely staff only down fall is if there is not enough staff don't open the top bar please.
A. M.
Nice food, quick service, get in early as it gets busy!
R. G.
Popped in on the spur of the moment as we were in the area and had been before. Didn't disappoint. Extremely cheap deals and quick efficient service having ordered using the app. Highly recommend.
D. L.
Would highly recommend this weather spoons, its in a nice area! Food is great! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan option available! Great place to chill out and eat good food in a nice area! 🌟
R. M.
Old fashion style with friendly service great options and well kept facilities. Enjoyable dining indoors and outdoors.
M. F.
Stopped for quick meal, service was good, but meal lacked any trimmings, meaning it was a bit dry. Supplied down to a price, but not a superior standard. It was very good value. No side salad available for the steak dishes which was poor .
S. M.
Food was good and staff were very friendly
P. S.
Very busy when I went but they also looked short staffed. Food was lying waiting on the counter whilst staff were running around like crazy. Not there fault.
P. M.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch with the family today and very competitive prices.
K. M.
I went here for the first time about 3 weeks ago with my friends. It was raining outside but it was so lovely to eat out back! The food is super as always. Couldn’t fault anything and the staff are really friendly too. I love that you can order on the app quickly. It’s so convenient. And they have restrictions in place too. Usually clean tables. I’d definitely go here again and recommend it others too. This is the best Wetherspoons in Leicester!
S. L.
Good beer not so great food the salad was brown
A. 2.
Had breakfast at the White House and it was very tasty. I love the way they serve the hot chocolate as a lolly on a stick and then you just add hot milk or water. The breakfast prices are affordable, my only fault is they are very stingy with the beans portion. Other than that I would eat there again.
S. J.
A great pub serving good food, good drinks and good atmosphere.
S. L.
Had a friend and family get together here. Staff were brilliant food excellent
e. o.
Huge wetherspoons...food was good and cheap!!!
M. T.
I liked it as it was much better than the average Wetherspoons in terms of location and environment. Only down side (lost a star for this reason) was the usual breakfast we have when eating at other Wetherspoons was The White House had a slightly smaller portion and the beans were cold. Other than that we had a very lovely time and would definitely visit again with friends.
P. W.
Food was hot and tasty, had all day breakfast 😋
A. S.
Place is buzzing.friendly staff.foods yummy.prices are brill.
S. H.
Great food.could have just been warmer.
W. D.
This is a Weatherspoon’s so five stars doesn’t mean you get food like Core in Notting Hill - in fact the food is decidedly mediocre - but you do absolutely get what you pay for. And when you want a Weatherspoons type of place then this is a great one. You get a great choice, you can order on the app and drinks and food usually come fairly promptly. And that is the same in the nice large garden with sturdy gazebos to keep you dry if needed. All in all it’s a five star Weatherspoons and I like it.
P. B.
Whoever the shift leader was on 14/06 was a star! Very patient & professional.
E. H.
Good food, only given 4 stars as the signage regarding where certain events are wasn't too clear and the room felt a little too crowded given covid.
S. P.
Morning breakfast. Cooked just right
A. E.
It's a Weatherspoons, there's not much to say. It's cheap, it's cheerful, the staff are usually love and very accommodating. It's nice, clean, cute pub with safety dividers at the tables to make you feel safe. You don't have to book which is helpful. The car park is large and there is wheelchair accessibility.
p. c.
It's one of the best JD WETHERSPOONS l bein to very friendly and good service well done .
M. L.
Very good food fast and friendly staff..very clean
G. s.
Smaller portions but bigger prices than in another Whetherspoons. Really wird.
S. L.
A really nice place to come for a drink or two, especially if it's nice and sunny, then definitely head to the gardens outside. Otherwise, I wouldn't be there for a food since it's just standard Witherspoon food.
N. T. G.
Much better than your average wetherspoons. Food is very fresh especially fish and grilled chicken.
S. P.
Nice pub. Seemed busy for a Tuesday evening, but I suppose at their prices, why not go for a drink or a meal. We only had a drink but all seemed good 😊
G. S.
My husband and I went to the White House at Scaptoft today for lunch. We had fish and chips and Gin and Tonic. Brilliant food and drinks. All social distance and young lady took our order. Excellent 5/5. Will definitely go again soon.
S. A.
It's a great wetherspoons, one of the best in the county but as a franchise, they profited from covid by changing the menu to make you spend more money.. they do serve great beer so can't complain too much
J. G.
Good affordable food nice atmosphere vert enjoyable
N. A.
Excellent service. Good quality food and a vibrant atmosphere
C. D.
Very nice atmosphere and lovely food,
d. m.
It's very nice and was made welcome, staff are very helpful
D. M.
Totally looks like a stately home from outside, but usual creature comforts of a spoons inside..lovely gardens for the children, but no park....lots of free parking. Little gem of a pub for cheap and cheerful drinks
T. K. S.
It was a lovely meal served by pleasant staff set in a festive atmosphere.
T. R.
Good food, good beer all at a reasonable price. Great location for have a quick pint after work or spending a few hours in a beer garden. The building looks great also.
D. R.
tidy, tasty food, big garden, good family environment.
T. A.
Lovely place for a family; the vast outdoor sitting area is very impressive. Tasty food, smiling waiters. Only regret: it took us long to discover this place.
D. H.
We went for lunch I tried the haggis burger as it was burns week enjoyed it
D. M.
Great place spacious went there for breakfast for the first time loved it...😀👍
P. B.
Great food and service.. A word to bar staff please ensure wine glasses are clean before serving.
Quite possibly the worst steak I have ever had.
K. M.
Excellent place in Leicester. The service team Oscar Richfield and other lady were on point. The one who looked senior was abit rude in telling Customers about masks. Delivery times for food could be improved as well as menu for bar snacks. Good outing place amid covid. The chicken masala, bar snaćk and pricing were all excellent
C. '. H.
Staff were friendly and quick to clean the table when we arrived.
The food arrived quickly and was correct.
All round good visit.
J. K.
Very Nice building great staff
Usual wetherspoons food
T. H.
A popular place with a good choice of affordable beers, wine and food.
M. M.
Quick service friendly staff food was cold
K. P.
Always a pleasant place for food and drinks. The outdoor seating is lovely, well spaced out and with large benches and canopies. Prompt service with a smile, and good food & drink to go with it 🙂
D. H.
Reasonably priced good food and drinks. Great place.
V. A.
It's ok. Came here for breakfast and it was OK. Not the best and not the worse.
A. B.
Was a little uncomfortable as it was quite crowded. Also staff were not wearing masks. Food ok but not great.
A. C.
It's a nice place, you can find new acquaintances
R. M.
Wetherspoons have kept a lot of the original which is great.
M. d. r.
It's was nice evening enjoying at white House family atmosphere and serving and good food.
K. W.
Full English excellent just what the Doctor and my stomach ordered
K. W.
Great wetherspoons, the foods exactly how you'd expect it and the staff are friendly and helpful. The White House is very pleasant to be in I will definitely be returning in the near future. Loads of parking at the front and it's in a great location with loads of fields to walk over if you fancy.
P. K.
Same ol. You know what you are going to get. Tinned garden peas! Lol
D. R.
This was my first visit to the White House and I really liked it. I went mid week lunch time so my experience might be different to those visiting at busier times. Plenty of room in the car park so that was good to start with. The pub itself is huge inside with lots of seating. There were quite a lot of people in there but still easily found a table. Ordered 2 meals off the 2 for £9.99 deal, ham, egg and chips. The service was very quick, probably just over 5 minutes. Food was well presented, hot and tasty. Cutlery comes with the food but you help yourself to condiments which is good. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere in there, you don't feel pressured to leave after you've eaten and we were there nearly 3 hours just chatting. Great value for money and will definitely be going again.
B. c.
Brilliant food and drink all at very reasonable price and very high quality customer service given.
Excellent staff
R. B.
Good (for Wetherspoons) food, clean table and bar, very good experience. Would go again, even though they charge more than other 'spoons in Leicester
N. H.
Very busy with food orders, delightful, helpful staff but more staff required to avoid waiting
K. M.
Went for fathers day breakfast. We had a Vegan breakfast. Traditional, small and large. Great value and great selection of hot drinks included. Great selection of beers too. Garden is nice. No kids play area but enough space to run around
S. D.
Impressed with the Covid safety efforts made both indoors and in the garden. Felt really comfortable and enjoyed a sunny breakfast meet up with a friend. Well done Wetherspoons!!!
G. M.
Really spaced out pub with large garden area as well. Felt safe and had a good experience. Barman was a bit weird but hey ho...
A. S.
A place to go for local chill out family friendly drink or meal. Huge space set in an old Manor type building. Massive beer garden. Not to be missed.
G. T.
Great food and fast service
J. C.
Rang to book a table, told just turn up which was fine. Asked whether table service or order at bar wearing a mask, told masks are ok but not necessary. No requirement to wear them. Arrived & asked if table had been cleaned- staff not sure! Knife and fork had food on them! Such a shame about lack of cleanliness as food was lovely. Expected Wetherspoons to take Covid-19 a lot more seriously.
A. W.
Brilliant and very Covid-19 abiding, though not been there in evenings recently. Manageress is sooo lovely. Breakfasts are fabulous in general.
K. N.
Lovely breakfast, able to alter the menu to suit my dietary requirements (I am meat free and dairy free). Do not like the Sunday lunches, veg unappetising, Yorkshire puddings very dry and absolutely huge and being meat free there isn't much more choice for me. Lunch time and general menu is great though, with lots of choices.
A. T.
Brilliant great staff wonderful food enjoyed every moment.
J. V.
Generally the food here is quite good, don't expect it to be faultless.
For instance they forgot the hash browns on a big breakfast and the cup they supplied for my tea still had the lipstick remnants from its previous user.
That said, staff are helpful, food is very edible and ultimately good value.
Would I eat here again,,??
Yes I would.
Would I expect it to be perfect,,??
No I would'nt.
It's good for basic pub food.
Not good if you want quality food.
I would not take some here if I was looking to impress.
S. R.
Always loved the atmosphere at the white house , good staff cheap beer , an over all good experience x
P. H.
One issue, Friday ran out of fish - I can understand we were late. But not Saturday dinner as well. Nice bar man explained, but the upper management should let them buy fish if they can't supply.
The manager was good enough to get back and explain the issues. So I upgraded to 5 stars, also the fish was tasty last Friday - better than usual.
Thank you
M. D.
Lovely lunch,spacious and friendly
D. L.
Big garden with parasols and gazebo's, wonderful in the sunshine. Tables spaced very well, quick service, decent food and a vast selection of real ales and drinks
J. P.
Drinks are excellently priced, building is nice. Service to clear tables was not so great, we sat on a table for almost 30mins before someone took away the dishes etc from the previous occupants. We had asked for this to be removed when ordering our drinks.
A. D. R.
Good food. Excellent service.
T. S.
Wish there was music playing here as it would add to the atmosphere.
The food here could be a bit better. Sometimes comes out cold. The variety has been cut down a lot over the last few months.
They have a great selection of gins which is good for a gin lover like me and they do a lot of nice cocktails too.
S. S.
Lovely place and staff. Been here many timea over the years for meals or drinks. Just a staff problem this time. As many eating in the room the staff were busy with the food orders and only1 or occasionally 2 bar staff behind the bar and so people had to queue which is not easy when you are disabled as we are. Left early because of this and also queuing for the 1 disabled loo too. Usually very good though. :-)
N. D.
Very nice for a Weatherspoons. Good service in a decent atmosphere, but the 14oz steak for £7.99 is an absolute steal ! As usual, a widespread range of beers and gins was available, all competitively priced 😃. You know what to expect at a 'Spoons and The White House didn't disappoint. I will recommend and return, even though we needed to chase up a couple of desserts which didn't arrive even though they were ordered via the app and everything else in the order was served within a few minutes.
C. P.
This is a Weatherspoons, so prices are pretty good. Very large place and looks very up market from the outside. Plenty of seating inside and even caters for weddings. Only been a few times and always for breakfast. Food has come out quite quickly and has always been hot. Not keen on the machine served tea and coffee though, but that's a minor complaint. Food can be seen being cooked and chef is clean and even wears a beard protector, which is very rarely used by other restaurants. All in all nice place for families or functions
J. G.
Ordered on the app. Food was what you expect from a spoons, enjoyed the veggie curry I had. A perfectly pleasant experience.
The pub is big and clearly set up to capitalise on people dining in, there is a separate area for bar snacks and just having drinks with loads of comfy seats and tables with a cosy feel. The main dining restaurant can seem busy and get to be quite noisy. Lovely to eat outside though on a nice day!
T. M.
This is a great weatherspoon pub, we could not book here, but when 15 of us turned up asking for a table together, they sat us in what seemed to be our own private area with a huge table. The staff are really friendly here and attentive. The food was good with no mistakes on the order. I would definitely go here if there is a party of 15-25 again and ask for the secluded area on the left before you go down the steps to the main dining area.
B. H.
Food was good but the service was awful and it wasn't even that busy. Definitely better places to go
S. J.
Nice and big, lots of space indoors and outdoors. Good prices but breakfast wasn't very hot.
E. N.
A lovely branch of wetherspoons. Pleasant staff who cleaned the tables as soon as they were vacated.
s. h.
Absolutely brilliant to be back there! So covid safe and garden set out nicely. Staff were great as was the food
M. T.
Typical weatherspoons. Cheap beer can't argue!
M. R.
One of the best quality Wetherspoons I’ve been to. Has a lovely beer garden perfect for summer days and the pub itself is beautiful. Fine cuisine is not it’s forte but a relaxing cheap filling meal it is
P. S.
Usual hangout... cheap and cheerful!
Nice atmosphere and quick Service
L. P.
Lovely food, great big garden. Quick friendly staff
R. K.
Nice meal, reasonably priced and good staff
J. L.
The food is always consistent, the drinks are really well priced and the service is generally good.
The place is busy most nights of the week, I'm sure most pubs would love this amount of trade. They must be doing something right....
S. T.
Breakfast was Fab! Had the large English with extra black pudding, 2 large round pieces, sausages are delish. 2 bacon, half grilled tomato, large flat mushroom, 3 crispy hash browns, 2 fried eggs, with runny yolk! Yum!! 2 slices of toast with best butter, Bit tight on the beans, (I love baked beans) Can be a bit hit and miss regarding temperature of breakfasts tho, this time was spot on. However, we had to sit up the top near the door, as the place was full. Very drafty around the lower legs, despite sitting next to the radiator, but over all, my favourite place for brekky. Staff always polite, nice and clean.
R. K.
Took my wife and kids for a lovely meal.. Great service and venue
A. K.
Good place tp eat out, service is a bit slow but overall had a good time, good food and nice building
M. P.
Local and lovely. The white house is a lovely place to go with family and/or friends for a few drinks. They also serve a nice variety menu of food that tastes fantastic. That have different offers for different days also host different festivals and themed bits on often times around the year.
I. M.
We like the White House for a no-frills meal every now and then. Normally 4/5 stars, but not today.Today, my wife had the fishcake, which she enjoyed. I had the Signature Steak instead of my usual burger. I hope the gristle is not what they consider makes it special, but it'll be burgers for me in future!
L. H.
Pleasant interior and a selection of pub classics alongside other fantastic selections.
Has clean facilities, friendly staff and a relaxed "friends and family meal" kind of atmosphere.
As with all venues it has minor faults, such as slightly inconsistent quality and quantity of food, but all considered it's a great place to visit time and again.
S. F.
Great beer garden and nice pub altogether. Went around half 8 on a hot day and all but one of the draught ales was finishes. Not ideal. Decent food and good prices though, what you expect from spoons. A better class of spoons though.
A. P.
Great place cheap drinks as always expected from weatherspoon. Big garden holds over 200 customers
P. F.
Probably the best wetherspoons I've been to
C. P.
When we went the kids meals where almost the same size, if not bigger than an adult meal and cheaper. Bear this is mind!! Need more high chairs though. Staff are helpful and the waiting time for food is not bad
s. t.
Good value for money pub grub, the place needs a bit of a makeover but all in all worth a visit
P. B.
Awesome atmosphere.... amazing service and great people....
M. Z.
Beautiful facilities. Best pub In Leicester. Friendly staff. Good food. Plenty of parking. Disable friendly access and entrance. I would recommend to families and couples. Overall 5 stars well deserved.
O. O.
Typical wetherspooons and big. Generally the range of guest ales has nose dived with the pandemic so I'm less than impressed now days.
J.
Great service. Ordered breakfast using the Weatherspoon app whilst seated at my table. Unfortunately I forgot to mention an intolerency my friend has with seeds which were on the bread when it arrived. After speaking to the waiter they had swapped the bread out for a bread roll and informed us this may contain traces of seeds which was fine. Thanks again. 5*
R. G.
Good service, great food choices and wonderful atmosphere. It's a great place to go with friends. Plus good value meals.
R. A.
Great pub with friendly staff
K. R.
This pub is basically owned by wetherspoons, if you like wetherspoons then you will love the Whitehouse. Service is generally really good and the staff are always helpful. They have recently introduced from paying and placing orders from an app which is pretty cool and helpful as you don't have to wait in a queue to place your order you can simply do it from your table
c. b.
Great Pub,I was a frequent user before lockdown, they have gone to extreme measures to make it 'Covid Safe ' and with using the app it works really well and doesnt spoil the experience too much I actually think the new separation screens improve the overall layout .Cant wait to come back Well done to all
K. “. C.
Lovely, except I had to go in to get some salt when my meal arrived sitting in the garden, Waitress could'nt be bothered to get any for me. Otherwise lovely food but could do with more bar staff at lunch times. Will be going again with my family as this visit was with work Collegues and we were on a bit of a time limit. Thank you White House Peope. Never been before as never seen or heard about it.
M. S.
Beautiful place with excellent outside seating. Good quality food with quick service
G. B.
Great place to go for a drink and something to eat
A. m.
OK food, table bit sticky .
Server was not happy to be at work ,never had a problem in the past .May go back but will be a while .
D. C.
Very good value &loads of choice
T. M.
We went for lunch as we thought was wheelchair accessible but the area to have lunch was down stairs and the lift they have was broken staff said for quite a few months. We went to the garden and they opened a fire door. Food was ok for lunch but would think twice about dinner. Staff were helpful
P. S.
Amazing lamb shank, good place to come get food. Staff extremely helpful and very accommodating if you are attending in large groups. Would definitely visit again with more freinds and family! Couldn't help think that this pub may have some masonic history... Would love to know more if anybody knows more on this 😊
C. D.
Staff are polite enough, we all had a jacket potato, we all complained that they were luke warm 😒 won't be rushing back
A. T.
Usual spoons place, good menu and prices. Large and quite busy on a Sunday morning which I guess is a good sign. Tried the app and worked great with breakfast turning up shortly after ordering.
C. M.
Lovely breakfast .. large breakfast at £5.70 👍👌
E. P.
Pleasant atmosphere good service food OK
M. C.
Lovely breakfast fast service
S. P.
The staff, the environment, fair deals.its just the right place to go no matter what time of year warm and cosy in winter cool and fresh in summer.plenty of parking spaces. I can't recommend it highly enough, try it you won't be disappointed.
A. C.
I have to say, I've been a big fan of wetherspoons in general for years, and I think the chain have continuously improved their food and drink offer. But I'm particularly chuffed to bits to have a wetherspoons of this format (out of town, parking, beer garden, carvery) relatively on our doorstep. Food, service and value for money here is always consistent, a sure-fire winner! 😀
S. M.
One of the more pricey 'spoons but still good value given the nice old building and set near a beautiful part of rural England. Also has a large garden, loads of seating and two bars. It's often busy and toilets apart for Disabled are upstairs.
T. C.
Nice food. Inexpensive. Loving service thank you
S. B.
It's always
The same menu and not changed. They don't accept card at the moment which they could if mentioned on website.
D. T.
Although it's a Weatherspoon pub with the usual menu, its rather "posh" inside and outside. Large outside garden area too with picnic benches to have a drink or have a meal. Good for families and lots of free parking.
S. M.
A pleasant example of a Wetherspoons chain pub. I went on a Friday afternoon. Good range of ales, the one I had was well kept. Prices are competitive and the staff friendly. Plenty of space for eating. Usual fare for Wetherspoons.
R. C. (.
Good location on the edge of Scraptoft village, Leicester. Excellent venue for family get togethers and quiet meal even.
Friendly staff and good atmosphere too. Meals are cheap, cheerful and very substantial.
M. h. M. T.
A good place to have a beer in the summer sun with a great sized beer garden and all the usual benefits of a Wetherspoons establishment with plenty of real ales available and all the well priced food. They also have a private room with it's own private garden for all types of parties and weddings.
G. C.
Very good but no entertainment and no music unfortunately, good if you need a peaceful time .
J. P.

Great place but can never get hold of anyone on the landline!
Great food!
Covid friendly.
L. J.
Female Staff seem to socialise more than work. Means food sits waiting to be brought out for a while. Food is nice. Breakfast sometimes undercooked. Good prices.
C. C.
Lovely place.wish to spoil my family for lunch one day.
h. h.
Great.....speedy service, freshly presented food, pleasant garden seating area when the sun is out, friendly and helpful staff.
D. M.
Excellent food and service, very clean premises
J. W.
Lovely Wetherspoons style restaurant with outdoor area to chill out and relax non-alcoholic options are available including tea and coffee I recommend the mixed grill if you have a larger appetite which I enjoyed with a Diet Coke sat in the back garden
F. B.
Great food and atmosphere
S. M.
Called in on the off chance while passing, fabulous food brilliant service will definitely return
K. M.
A big Wetherspoon's with a large restaurant area in an old country house. It is the usual wetherspoon food but is more spacious than most of their venues. It is family friendly, evidenced by the large amounts of families that dine there. There is a small 'pub' area tucked to one side for local drinkers. A reasonable grassed area with benches outside.
A. M.
I had a cheese and tomato panini and it was incredibly bland tasting...very disappointing. The chips were good at least. Service was friendly but very slow. Not great overall unfortunately
D. L.
Reasonable selection of beers and the place was clean and tidy unlike some others. Food was good and the service prompt. All in all a good lunch time break.
T. R.
Was very impressed, very well set up, food was lovely, table service was brilliant. Well done to all of the staff at The White House.
H. O.
Today the service was slow. One Steak was overcooked and waiting ages for our food. Particularly busy tonight but the staff were friendly and helpful.
c. s.
Ordered on the app. Service good and quick. Very nice breakfast.
f. L.
Amazing cocktails
M. S.
Nice atmosphere and usual hospitality from a Wetherspoons with good food - mine's a gluten free breakfast. Lovely area in the countryside but only a few miles from Leicester.
P. B.
Beautiful out door area. Top class wood panelled walls to comfort room
J. P.
Only dropped in for light refreshments, but service from staff was great ,thankyou very much ...
K. A.
Cant fault it! Had a lovely meal, 2 large mixed grills & 2 pints! All for £25 whats not to like! & was cooked really well too!
E. t.
It is a lovely place serving quality food. Safe and also follows covid restrictions.
T. D.
Food is good but maybe a bit over priced for what it is, nice relaxed atmosphere and for the most part the staff are professional and friendly. A good place to have a few drinks with mates.
S. K.
We regularly have breakfast here and every now and again a evening meal.. The staff are excellent and the food is lovely, never been let down.. Can't recommend it enough
D. P.
Nice place have been many times before but the food was only warm the steak was thin and a little bit dry but nice flavour
D. S.

C. F.
I like the white house it's food the staff and being in a historic building the toilets are always clean plenty of free parking ideal for everyone builders for breakfasts business people they can sit there with laptops etc drink endless coffee and of course families nice outside area in the summer or in the winter just sit by a radiator and watch the wildlife in the snow and rain .
L. S.
Cheap affordable food and drink, ideal for a cheeky meal with the family.
L. “. M.
It is a weatherspoons pub so you know what to expect. The environment is nice and clean and the staff very friendly. The food is okay but fairly cheap, the options are limited though.
U. C.

A nice place, good choice of food, friendly staff, good prices, we always enjoy meeting up there.
The gin selection is excellent!
N. M.
Like all Wetherspoons, it has a great atmosphere, great food and great drink.it is wheelchair accessible, however I do not know about the toilets.
J. C.
Good, nice atmosphere. Didn't get any food though so can't judge that! It looked like standard chain pub affair.
K. G.
Worth going for breakfast, fish and chips are good hot drinks unlimited. Good value for money...tables could be cleaner a little sticky
C. C.
Quality Service....great food
J. G.
Great place for any easy satisfying meal. Good value for money and good beer. A regular haunt when not bothering to cook.
m. p.
Very good and quick service polit staff and helpful and tables were being wiped not just being clear ed as in some pubs were you sit down to spilt food and a sticky table . For me it's got to be clean or I will not go again.full marks spoons.
M. O.
Lovely venue. Decent enough food as expected but second time they have forgotten one out of our four meals.
M. D.
OK good garden nice place to relax but order take a bit of time to come
C. M.
I was meeting up with a friend for a quick coffee. What a lovely place, great cappuccino and free refill! I ll be back for some food for sure, it looked delicious
R. J.
The best looking Wetherspoons I have visited both internal and external. Had the traditional breakfast and unlimited coffee, couldn't fault any of it.
K. T.
Meal was very nice, Covis restrictions in operation, service good.
A. V.
Great place to meet, cheap cheerful. Didn't get to take many pictures
D. L.
Surprisingly massive when you walk inside. A good 'ol Weatherspoons pub so you know what your in for. Parking is good, location is a little quiet (which is what you want from a pub)
S. P.
Food here has never let me down. Keep the consistency up! Good drinks too! Big spacious seating!
C.
Food was weird. Half was cold half was hot and the woman at the front desk was very short and snappy with myself and guests. It was annoying
D. W.
Large old house, with very big garden on outskirts of Leicester.
Very busy for this Sunday morning visit.
B. B.
Really nice staff and the food was nice. Fast and well priced. Well worth a visit.

G. a. A.
Very nice inside, we only went in for a coffee while daughter was at dance. Very clean and tidy, coffee could of done with being a tad bit hotter. Staff very friendly.
D. G.
Lovely looking large pub ,first time we bern here, nothing fancy on the menu just the usual pub grub but good value, would definitely go again
W. B.
Food good for a Wetherspoons, sometimes served on a cold plate, seems to be more expensive than the other Wetherspoons and goes up in price quite often?????? Overall a nice pub with nice staff
J. D.
Usual great value from Wetherspoons. Spacious and interesting building with wood panelled walls in some areas. I'd heartily recommend breakfast.
R. R.
Nice and relaxing
S. v. d. B.
Good spot for a quick lunch. Food on a decent level with good flavors. Service is good, but not amazing, probably because they are to busy.

B. B.
Staff very helpful , really took time out to provide good service on a very busy lunchtime. Food piping hot and very quick.
a. d.
Used to be lovely but has gone slightly downhill over the years. Change in the area becoming busy means it is now overpopulated and food is in smaller portions and longer wait
D. H.
If you want a quiet cosy meal with your partner, don't come here.
If you want to let your kids run around and scream, come here.
Foods nice though
P. D.
Brilliant service and excellent quality
M. H.

Food and service was good. Was busy so table were not being cleared also quite noisey which are my only negative comments.
