My children have autism and eating out they can be very fussy. They love this pub and are made to feel very welcome, adjustments made to their meals makes them happy. Staff are very friendly. The menu has changed recently which has shook my kids up a bit but at least they are trying other things.

We are regular guests at the White Horse and have always enjoyed our time there. Even on busy days, the staff have been friendly and even though we were told there was a wait on food because it was extremely busy (understandable) our food was served quicker than expected. Very delicious and hot. The band that was on was really good too.

First time at this pub for a meal, one of the steaks was over cooked when we told staff they took it away and brought it back all freshly cooked accompanied by the chef who was very appollegetic and said we all could have free pudding , excellent service from when we first entered to when we left ,will definitely be returning!!

Come here often with friends and family, cannot fault this place at all. For the half dozen times I have visited I have never had to complain about anything. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. They will greet you as you walk in the door which is always a nice touch. The food is great value, high quality for the price you pay. Had burgers and steaks from here and have always been tasty. I recommend the 'double whammy', amazing burger!

Very friendly helpful staff - they went above and beyond to look after us. They were really helpful when we wanted to order a dessert as my friend and I both struggle a bit with disabilities and they took the order for drinks/desserts at the table which we both really appreciated.all in all a very pleasant e experience.

Great atmosphere for karaoke night and excellent service; waitresses working hard and staff were very friendly and accommodating on a clearly busy evening. A very good, value for money pub grub.. Staff are very friendly but unfortunately have lost a number of the old staff due to lock down and understandably the new staff need a little time to get to speed and experienced... Still got a better meal than when we went to a beefeater the week before

Visited here for the first time around 14:30, myself and my wife were just looking for somewhere for a late lunch and the white horse was the only place nearby open. The car park was packed and even though a good sizeable carpark, we noticed that every car had people sitting in them, thats when we realised that it was parents and guardians waiting to pick their kids up from the nearby school. Entered the pub and it was very quiet inside, but the pub was big with plenty of seating available. Was greeted by the bartender that had to be the nicest bartender I had ever met. We received a lovely welcome from the gentleman, so thanks very much. There's also plenty of TV screens playing sports which was cool and I loved that there's a great ghostbusters pinball machine, I'll be definitely back to give it a go. Ordered starters, mains and desert and every dish was great. The stone baked pizzas are fantastic. I had the waffles for desert and have to say they were the best waffles I've very had, they were cooked perfectly and the marshmallows had melted perfectly into it. Brilliant experience at the White horse and I would highly recommend visiting. They were also advertising lots of activities that were happening at the pub such as karaoke, gin and cider nights and even breakfast with santa. Nice outdoor space for kids.

Went in for a quick lunch with family. Good service with helpful, friendly staff. Wide range of typical pub meals with some good offers for lunch. Food was brought to table quickly and was a very nice meal. Only criticism was that the portions were a bit on the small size. Overall a good meal.

The staff were friendly and service was quick but: #1 they were not following social distancing guidelines (i.e. touching the drinks glasses to hand them out, brushing against us to clear the tables...) #2 I was disappointed that a £7 burger meal didn't come with salad or any visible option to at least pay for a side salad (on the reduced for COVID-19 menu). #3 They didn't have adequate toilet facilities for my friend who is disabled. The disabled loo was poorly designed and not quite big enough to have my friend, her wheelchair and a carer in there and this led to an unhappy accident...sort it out please.

Took the grandchildren for a meal found the menu tiny bit confusing choose one of this two of that I ordered the chicken which one is arrived or though it was cooked looked absolutely white. My wife's lasagna tasted nice but was only just warm enough we were in a rush otherwise we would have sent it back. The best-looking food was my grandson's pizza that looks really tasty won't be in a rush to go back, this is two pubs in Broughton Astley that we've not had the best experience at the other one being the Mill on the Soar which was diabolical.

Table dirty at opening time. Dirty cutlery. Burger tasteless, poor quality (gritty gristly bits) and appeared to have been deep fried! Chips however were good and my daughter was happy with what she had. Staff friendly but had an air of lethargy about them. Shame really, as used to be first class when I lived in the village.

Just o.k because they didn't have everything on the menu and no mayonnaise, the co-op is just up the road. The table wasn't clean when we arrived. Also we tried to get in the week before and were told we needed to book so this week we did book and found that most of the tables around us were empty all night, I know they have to be careful at the moment but I think that Marston's should have introduced a booking system where they had 2 sittings, say from 6 to 7.45 and 8 onwards it just seemed to us they could have had a lot more people in, if they did this as last week when we tried to get in there were loads of empty tables and we would probably have been in and out before the party booked in turned up. Just a suggestion, I know these are unprecedented times.

Cheap pub good if you have a pint but have had issues with bar staff that dont no how to make a whiskey and coke..... food is pretty average no frills but this is reflected in the price. Live sport is available and consequently can be quite busy when games are on. Pool table and darts are not well maintained at all.
