Went for a meal on Saturday for our anniversary. Lady behind bar was really polite & helpful. Came to take our order at table to make it special. Food was exceptional. Steak cooked to perfection. All staff polite & service quick as could be as was busy. Definitely visit again.

Have been to the Plough for the past two weekends and I am very impressed. Staff are very friendly and great to see the manger active at the bar. Tables are cleaned regularly with empty glasses removed. Menu is varied with a non- gluten option which is great! Food was served quickly and portion sizes were good. Prices are very fair. Bar menu is good, with some cocktails thrown in for good measure. Nice to have some live music on a Saturday as well. Keep up the great work guys!

Just had my Sunday lunch at the Plough Lincoln. Great service, great meal. Went large but unfortunately I was beaten. Definitely didn't expect that large actually meant large unlike other pubs I have eaten in. Well done to the owners for providing something for once that anyone would say is great value for money. And, well done to the team on shift for the effort they obviously put in. Think I need a sleep now. Cheers

A regular haunt. Great sports coverage, pool table and gambling machines for your entertainment. Also plenty of sections for intimate, private eating experiences. Menu that has something for everyone. Super drink selection. Beer garden comes in two halves with a terrace by the river and views of the architecturally interesting bridge. The rear garden with shading trees and lush grass. The rear area includes a generous smoking shelter with seating. Decent sized car park. Very good kebab house (Sea Queen) down the road for after hour snacking on the way home.

I went in with my four boys for a drink and bite to eat we ordered the classic burger and classic chicken burger.. at first the order came out with the wrong bits as I ordered without sauce and tomatoes .. Danny the chef was lovely and soon sorted the problem and the food was lovely would definitely recommend x

Great food for a fair price, particularly the Sunday roast. The management and staff deserve a 'well done' for turning this local pub around. I'll certainly be visiting more. 👏

Last couple of visits have had a good selection of bar snacks, so felt it only faircto up this to 5 stars now. Visited to play poker. Friendly bar staff and a good atmosphere. Only thin stopping it getting a 5th star was the lack of bar snacks.

Beautiful location on the river seemed a great spot for lunch after a walk. Ale selection was a bit restricted but great to go to a pub for Sunday lunch and still be able to order from the regular menu (not stuck with carvery option only). I had bangers and mash and it was dreadful. Mash had a skin on it as though it had been out all night. Peas were rubbery and carrots were cold. Size and price of GBP7.50 (before it was served) seemed excellent. Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly though. New chef and I may return but need some convincing.

Nice place, under new ownership I think, for a week night quite popular, but sadly understaffed. Waiting times were long and they had run out of salad and chicken. Bar service was slow as only one person taking orders and doing table service. Will go again and hope it improves as lockdown eases and more staff are found. Decent decor and clean facilities. Nice atmosphere next to the river. Revised: July 2023. May possibly be under new management again, bar staff were friendly and welcoming. It wasn't too busy so didn't have to wait to be served. Still no food service as no chef! Its getting better so will try again in a couple of months.

Just had my girlfriends baby shower there on Saturday and it was perfect, the food was great the staff was lovely and the manager Scott was very helpful on making it a memorable day, the price of the food and having our own section of the pub and having 40 guests was spot in my opinion. All in all I would highly recommend you check this place out visiting Lincoln or one of the locals.

Great pub sat on the side of the river Witham just on the outskirts of town. Offers good food and drink with ample parking and outdoor seating. Often have live music events outside. Nice staff and a chilled vibe. Would recommend.

I have to say that I was impressed it had been a few years since I last visited and to be fair my last visit from what I remember was a pleasure. But this time the service was good and your team did there job as you would expect in a pleasant and efficient manner intact we were that impressed we booked in for the Christmas lunch and we will certainly be calling in on a more regular basis.

We called in today just has the pub was opening, to meet up with our grandchildren. Arrived here 5 minutes before the kitchen closed, but they were still happy to serve me. I can recommend the chilli burger. They have a very spacious rear beer garden and a conservatory along with Riverside views to watch the swans and the fish next to the bridge. There is a pool table and they show sports also. All round it was a pleasant experience and we will be going back during lunch time to enjoy the midday sun with a cold beverage.

Second visit here in one weekend, first was for a few drinks with friends, second for food with the family. Beer garden is big with plenty of seating space. Some of the benches have seen better days but still a nice surrounding. We ate inside because of the rain but still had a nice view over the river in the garden room. Staff are very friendly, helpful and on the ball with the table service. Food was ok, decent pub grub. The mashed potatoes looked like it had been under the heat lamp a bit too long, and the peppercorn sauce could have been a bit thicker, but overall it was a decent meal at a reasonable price. Will definitely be coming back.

I would just like to say that our experience at the plough was good. Made better by the staff the poor staff members on shift today were rushed off there feet. And had customers moaning at them. They handle it with professionalism and grace. I will return to the plough but I think the staff need help especially when they are short staffed
