Best steak and ale pie. Plus potatoes and 3 veg. Liked having a full gravy boat each. Totally full - needed to use doggy bag. Only lost a star as took a while to arrive due to other pre- bookings.

Met with two friends for a drink and a meal. It seemed much cosier the last time I visited several years ago. When we were seated, we weren't informed that we had to order food at the bar (wasted time sat waiting for a staff member), there was no desert menu on the table and the coffee machine was out of order. I had lasagne but I think the chef forgot to put any red sauce in the minced beef. There was mainly lively dance music playing which I guess is appropriate for the drinkers on a Friday evening but it was only 6:30pm and we were after a quiet evening meal and chat. I don't think I'll be in a rush to go back.

This is a very pleasant pub/ restaurant with good parking adjacent. It does a brisk business but, during the week at least, does not seem to get too crowded. Its family friendly, very clean and the staff are pleasant and friendly. The menu is fairly varied and there is definitely scope for vegetarians if not vegans. The food is fresh, nicely presented and tasty. It's an excellent place for a pleasant meal out away from the city.

Top place !! We had a party of 16 for carvery lunch. Food 5 star , service 5 star & cost lot less than expected. £ 243 inc all drinks some coffees & some sweets. Why pay more ?

Food was very tasty and very well priced. Only gave it 3 stars this time as we waited ages, after our main, for someone to come and ask if we wanted dessert. In the end, I waved (with card in hand) for attention then just paid without getting desserts. Maybe it was just an "off-day" as it wasn't that busy, as they are usually more attentive.

Love this place for its carvery usually but we went outside the box and went off the menu. Who ever put avacados in with the prawn cocktail hats off to you. Overall service was great and the general feeling of the place was comfortable if you are looking for good food and good dining with a surprisingly small price tag this is what this place offers.

The mash had got slightly burnt,the cabbage was hard and the cauliflower cheese was rock hard. Upon saying this we have being before and the meal was 100% better.

The food is ok. Don't get their carvery though, unless you go very early. Otherwise, all the food is cold and dry and not worth the money. They should lower the price a few hours after the food has been out. Staff is extremely friendly though, which makes up for the bad food!

Having recently moved into Bracebridge Heath the Bull is now my local and I can tell you that this pub has a half decent selection of beers. I can only comment on the Sunday carvery as that's all I've eaten here... several times, and it's tidy enough. Cheap and cheerful. I'd say it's family orientated with the restaurant on one side and a bar with a pool table in the other.

Friendky enough an allowed dogs in the bar area but as the carvery was served up in the restaurant part i had to go put my dogs in the car whilst i fathed about getting my roast, then go back out to the car to get my dogs as fireworks were blasting off an they were terrified. Couldn't leave them at home for this reason. Food wos very nice though.

I've been in a small account of restaurants and pubs over the past few months, since lockdown, and I have to say that I feel much more safe in the Bull than other places. Strict track and trace system, temperature check, table service and masks when not say at your table. A venue that's doing exactly what is asked.

Like the pub,but very disappionted , as i phone day before to see if thier quiz was on a young lady said yes,it was also on the website.we were very annoyed when we arrived last sunday, to be told that it wasnt on. Visited for lunch today not the best meal we have had at the Bull the chips were definitely below standard . Waitress did apologise and said it was down to changeover of seasonal potato supply. Unsure how that would have caused them to be overcooked and burnt . Not pleasant.
