Really nice pub. Great place. Charming decor, lovely outdoors take a look. A word to the wise, have the 700 year old German beer.

Absolutely splendid village pub! We went on a Saturday (hadn’t booked). The car park was heaving which is always a good sign, and when we went in, there were lots of people drinking and eating. We asked for a table for two and, although clearly very booked up, the team did their upmost to look after us and find us a table. The staff were then very attentive and we ordered quickly to try to speed things on which was perfect. Food came out very quickly, was piping hot, and delicious! The menu is great, full of pub favourites, and also some interesting specials which I’d have loved to have tried but we tried not to hang around as they were so kind to fit us in! Everything was spot on and I would happily recommend it to anyone!

Pea-Gate. My partner asked for no mushy peas with her Fish & Chips and asked if they could swap them for garden peas, they said they didn't have garden peas and she said she would be happy to have no peas as she doesn't like mushy peas. I order a mixed grill and it came out with garden peas on the plate 😂 it was hilarious and my partner was laughing at her pile of mushy peas whilst staring jealously at my garden peas. Overall the meal was great though and we'll be back.

First time back at the Carpenters for years and it's better than ever! Freshly decorated, light and airy. Plenty of space between dining tables and wonderful attentive staff. The ale has always been good there and happy to say that hasn't changed. The food was particularly good, very good portion sizes that were generous without filling you beyond comfortable. Great menu to work from with half a dozen or so choices for each course and our entire table was thoroughly impressed by the standard of the food. An excellent country pub that's well worth a visit. We'll be back!

Visited Carpenters Arms in Fiskerton on 7th October 2021 for lunch and we were not disappointed, the food was excellent, all freshly cooked and homemade and plentiful. The homemade Steak and Ale pie was excellent, together with the roast turkey dinner which had plenty of turkey and freshly prepared vegetables. There was a very good pudding choice many consisting of old fashioned puddings, treacle sponge, ginger sponge, or chocolate sponge served with a choice of custard, cream or ice cream, together with many other choices. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the surroundings were very tastefully decorated and clean. Thank you for a lovely meal and will definitely be returning.

My wife and I both enjoyed a good meal out at the Carpenters Arms, most enjoyable, good service too, shall definitely go back there again. Enjoyed a couple of lovely pints of 49 Sqn Ale from Ferry Ales Brewery which is very local. I found 2 interesting folders on the nearby window ledge, one on RAF Fiskerton and the other on one Lancaster crewmans individual story.

Tasty food. Large portions. A very varied menu. I had vegetarian nut roast and my husband had pork roast of the day, both were excellent. For a Tuesday lunch time the restaurant was very busy. Clean and nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

As a walking group we arranged for the Carpenters to be open at 0945 so we could use their facilities prior to our walk which stated and ended in their car park. We had pre ordered our lunch menus a few days prior as their were 10 of us dining. We cannot fault the food and service and will be conducting another walk from the Carpenters again very soon.

This was my first visit to The Carpenters and it most definitely wont be my last! I was treated to lunch today by a friend and it was a treat indeed. After confirming our arrival and ordering drinks, we were shown to our table. The menu had just about everything you could wish for and I ordered the vegetable stroganoff. It arrived beautifully presented and was served with a generous portion of rice, garlic bread and salad. The stroganoff sauce was delicious and contained plenty of mushrooms, peppers and various other vegetables. It was quite simply delicious. Unfortunately, I was too full for dessert or even coffee. Efficient, friendly service and delicious food. There was also a Specials board but we were happy with the menu. A further visit will take place soon! Good sized car park. Highly Recommended!

Great traditional British food in a great British pub with superb staff. It's always busy so booking advised but the quality and service has been consistently superb for the 2 and a half years I've been using the place. There is nothing to dislike about this pub!

Words don't really do the quality of their food justice. If you want some proper food that reminds you of home, you can't really go wrong here. It's excellent and the setup they have really works: sit in a quiet pub setting until your food is almost ready, take your seats, and then enjoy your meal! It comes across as quite a friendly, informal place which suits me down to the ground and the staff are friendly, attentive, and seem to go out of their way to help. Highly recommended!

Just read previous review, where do you find breaded plaice that isn't frozen? My experience of this restaurant is that most of the menu including all chicken dishes are cooked from fresh! Get a life!

Went to The Carpenters on 16.4.16 for my 70th Birthday. The food and staff were absolutely great, nothing was too much trouble for them. Atmosphere was welcoming, Everyone enjoyed themselves and we will all be going back again. Thank you very much.

Visited this Pub to dine over the last five years and have never been disappointed with the food and service. This is a popular pub for dining and it is advisable to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. There is a regular menu but also a good list of 'specials' on the blackboard. The fish is fresh from Grimsby if on the blackboard and is always cooked beautifully. On our last visit, this week my wife and I both chose the Fillet Steak and again it was cooked beautifully. Popular Beers, especially local Bateman's XB , available as well as a good selection of Wines.
