Reviews of The Mailbox
C. D.
Bar and restaurant just off the main drag in Lincoln city. Large and spacious, multi level, serving a huge range of tap and pump beers, spirits and wines. Offers a large menu of classics with loads of special offers and events. We went on Wing Wednesday which meant wings were only 30p each in any quantity with your choice of flavours! The wings were top notch; decent size, juicy and plenty of flavour. Can't wait to come back and try some more. Plus it had a pool table! 👌🏻 Highly recommended.
M. J.
Great pub restaurant with great decor and friendly staff. Has a pool table, tvs on sportsand beer Garden. We had lunch and the prices and table availability was great. Would recommend for a more modern pub lunch experience. No parking at the venue but public parking close by with some free 30 min parking near by in near by streets.
A. S.
Fantastic eating and drinking experience in the city. I am reluctant to write this because I want to keep this place to myself. If you like a daytime drink, a night time party, and a decent meal. This is the place. Excellent staff. Fantastic food. I love The Mailbox x
Right,
Bit of extra news, I’ve been back and want to share the fantastic food we always have here. I really love this place
C. J.
Been in a couple of times now , the food is tasty and quick to appear, it’s clean and not ageist. Burgers are good and so is the big breakfast £6.25 !! 😳 enjoyed the beer and cocktails.
J. M.
we came for the weekend, for rag and bone man, popped some shopping found this beauty of a pub , gorgeous food, great staff ! and then went into the garden omg,, amazing , deffo be back on our next visit thankyou
D. G.
Fantastic place. Food is top notch, don't even get me started on the doughnut stacks (it was my birthday, and I did share it!!)
Very highly recommended
P. H.
City centre bar, large music/sports bar downstairs, nice lounge upstairs and great beer garden with screens. Nice for Sunday afternoon pint. Good buzz for weekend night out, playlist. All day food, looks good, but we weren't eating. Staff are young, but friendly, prices competitive for city centre, popular with university crowd. Also recently become gay friendly but not obvious in any way
M. B.
Party of 20 (ish), we all had a great night, no issues, reasonable prices on drinks, nice ambience outside, friendly door staff, and the food looked good too! Happy to return..
I. L.
Fantastic time at Mailbox! Probably my favourite bottomless brunch I’ve been to. Amazing cocktails and brilliant service from Dan S he was so smiley and welcoming and always asking if we were ok for drinks. Can’t recommend enough!
S. V.
Loved an afternoon at The Mailbox. The staff were so lovely and helpful in helping my Granddad pick a beer that he would like. The venue was great for both a family couple of pints but also a uni night out. Also can't ever say no to eating food here!
D. R.
A great atmosphere kind & friendly staff and always a great selection of food & drink. Has a good beer garden and has clean toilets, the tables & floors are clean. There is a pool table down stairs & at night it comes to life with the latest music & also it a great meeting place to start your night before exploring the rest of the city of lincoln. A must visit at any time of the day or evening.

Just had bottomless brunch here with my cousin and had the best time! Dan and Maddie served us and were so friendly and attentive, couldn't have asked for more. 100% would recommend!
E. L.
Ruby was our waitress & it felt like she was one of the girls! Always topping up our drinks & making sure out visit was top class. Couldn't have asked for any more <3
G. T.
Bottomless brunch was amazing! Maddie and Dan really made us feel welcome and constantly topped up with drinks! Would definitely come again!
D. F.
I’ve just had a bottomless brunch with 3 of my friends (my 2nd time at Mailbox) and both times I was served by Dan, he is so attentive and friendly he made sure we were never without a drink! Definitely worth it had a great time thank you Dan ❤️
L. B.
Lovely visit with junior soccer Club, over from Dublin to play Lincoln. We caught Man United versus Chelsea match Saturday evening. All well looked after by Breffiny and Team. Thank you guys ✅✅
P.
Drag Bingo is the highlight of my week. Celine Begone is beyond hilarious, absolutely stunning, and a wonderful host and DJ. I would absolutely recommend if you want a bit of saucy fun on a Tuesday night!
A. L.
I was pleasantly surprised how nice the food was. As we came maybe a couple years ago now, and didn't really return as I found a hair in my onion ring. We came in here on Saturday 2nd April very busy everywhere else so came here, on the chance there was a table. Ordered food, and I have to give a thumbs up to chef. Well done it tasted amazing. If I rate it on food I would definitely come back and give a 5/5.
But as my food was getting collected, I was midway eating a slice of my garlic bread out of my hand, and a hand appeared behind me, and cleared my plate. It still had a piece or garlic bread on there. My friend said excuse me, they didn't listen and walked away. I would have complained but I just couldn't be bothered. I would come back again based on the taste of the food, but I may have to glue my plate to the table next visit so my plates not been taking before I've finished and before I've been asked whether I've finished. Would have been a 5* but this ruined it for me.
L. T.
Amazing service for Lizzi, she was accommodating and asked for a drink everytime my drink was empty. Money well worth it. She was so lovely and I can recommend 100%. Lizzi deserves a pay rise
S. M.
Haven't tried the food yet, but great beer, hardworking staff and a great vibe
C. B.
This is such a great place to go to work during the week to chill and have a few drinks. Today we were served by Dan and Tasha who literally went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Great service and lovely chat. Will be back!! Asset to the team!!
J. W.
Went for bottomless brunch to celebrate a friends birthday, Tasha and Dan were absolutely fantastic hosts! Checked in on us whenever we needed more drinks and took really good care of us. Really good price considering there is a selection of cocktails included, would definitely come for bottomless brunch here again!!!
J. H.
Absolutely banging pub in the city centre.
Something for everyone with pool and sports to cocktails and brunches! I would give it 10 stars if I could.
Becca was the happiest, shiniest, smiliest host.
Such a good evening.
J. F.
Staff are amazing, drinks came quick aswell as food ! Bottomless much is so worth it !
O. W.
Brilliant service from Dan and Ruby, threw drinks at us and food was delicious. Easily one of the best bottomless brunches I've been too and value for money! Ollie and Leah x
W. D.
Came here for a bottomless brunch hosted by Beth. She was fantastic! Very attentive and was always available when needed. Great food and drinks.
L. C.
Bottomless brunch is great. Dan and Ruby were throwing the drinks our way, and never an empty glass. Great service, nice range of drinks and lovely bar.
E.
came for bottomless brunch, had so much fun. we're regulars at mailbox and things are usually good but brunch was above and beyond, our server dan was so attentive and just a great server all round!!
B. B.
Good pub. Outstanding selection of draught beers/ciders including guest ones (first time I've seen Innis and Gunn Lager outside of Scotland on draught!). Great décor inside and lovely rooftop garden with sports screens. Friendly staff.
Only thing is it's a bit on the pricier side for Lincoln but you win some you lose some.
D. R.
Been here so many times, and it is always excellent. Tonight, in particular, Tasha and Dan went above and beyond for me and my partner. Superb as always!!
J. B.
Came for a bottomless brunch for our anniversary, excellent food, incredible service! Thank you to Dan who was looking after us. We will be back
S. H.
Bottomless brunch - Had ruby and Dan as our servers. So quick and friendly. Didn't have an empty drink the whole time. Will absolutely be coming back !!!
D. S.
Good beer garden but struggle with the app, it wasn't the most intuitive, so we went to to the bar to get it drinks staff were great and brought our dog a bowl of lovely cold water
M. F.
Really good bar, first time in,great selection of beers, and ciders, plenty of TVs showing sports, music in background, good selection of meals, very friendly staff, well worth a visit.
A.
A friend and I went for bottomless Brunch and the amazing Ruby served us, she was amazing and very polite and funny! Ruby was worth every single star
H. J.
Went for a bottomless brunch, lovely service and delicious food and drink. Dan the server was particularly nice with friendly and quick service.
e. w.
Great if you young lol, although did get a seat foe us oldies to sit on with a table, great garden area and huts to sit in to
T. J.
Lincoln is a better place because of the Mailbox! You must go! £25 bottomless brunch 🤩 get there now! Beaut inside, couldn’t recommend enough.
H. M.
Amazing bottomless brunch! Dan was incredible and kept amazing care of us! Would recommend!!! Woo Dan! 🥳
L. D.
Great food but we struggled with the app for ordering food. Any time we tried to order food which required picking options, the app had an error wouldn't allow us. In the end we just ordered lots of things that didn't require choosing options.
Once the food did arrive it was great. Would thoroughly recommend a visit for the food. Just order at the bar and save some time and frustration!
D. M.
Started going every Monday recently with a bunch of friends as it's normally the only day most bartenders get off in the city. We love doing the quiz and come most weeks now determined to win.
Go Ooh Bartender Friends!
J. M.
Met a friend for lunch but was disappointed at lack of healthier food choices on menu. Friendly staff. Far too loud to chat with music blaring out at a lunchtime, so won't be back.
C. A.
Awesome!
30 chicken wings for £9?? How can you not enjoy that!?
The bar-staff was also amazing. Thank you
M. W.
Standards have dropped since my last visit. Many things no longer on the menu, used to be my first call for food but will look elsewhere now.
E. W.
Brilliant visit this weekend with friends. Atmosphere was great, so busy but staff were still excellent. Will definitely be back!
I. s. S.
Nice place for drink or meal.
For night out is good enough to.
J. B.
Went in last night for the first time. Ordered a Hendricks & Tonic. When you serve a top quality gin like Hendricks, you MUST have cucumber to go with it. Was told there wasn't any.
E. W.
Went for bottomless brunch with friends, can’t recommend enough. Unlike other places, there really is no limit on drinks- thank you to our server Dan for such a wonderful time :)
P. R.
Good pint of neckoil, but food not very good had BBQ Ranch Chicken with onion rings and chips, the chicken was tough and the chips hard . Don't think I be going back for food.
m. c.
This is the best student pub, I come every week it has amazing staff, deals and they’re so friendly (especially my man Dan 😉) xx
J. M. M.
Good place to start a night out. Nice terrace full of good vibes.
I. I.
Pleasant location and interior. A good range of products on sale .the staff were very pleasant and friendly .the food was different in a very pleasing way
T. B.
Had a bottomless brunch for my mates birthday ,Tasha and Dan were very helpful all day couldn’t of asked for better service
W. T.
Great atmosphere, Tasty food. Exceptional staff (especially girl with long, dark curly hair- sorry we didn't get your name!) Would definitely recommend. It was our 'go to' pub the few days we were in Lincoln.
T. F.
Very busy good selection of drinks friendly staff.
K. H.
Nice atmosphere, first time coming for lunch here. Not too pricey, I had a jackfruit BBQ baguette and chips. Had to get a large drink as it would have been £2 more to get a regular. Baguette was nice and filling, chips were cold but food came out at the same time and the waiters/bar staff were great.
K. C.
Ate at the mailbox and the food was nice, we had bits to pick at. Can't complain we enjoyed it
C. C.
Really cute place to eat. They have special deals or events every day including a weekly Sunday themed quiz. Menu is very perfect for group sharing. The place also has free phone charges and blankets to use. As well as a large outside garden with heating.
A. W.
My favourite pub/bar in Lincoln. Trendy without being too generic, interesting without being too distracting and the music selection is pretty well rounded too. Quiz nights on the Monday are a regular for myself, host and staff are delightfully friendly. My only criticism is the pricing, drinks are great and food is pretty good but I suspect that there are other places of similar quality for marginally cheaper prices. If you can get past the pricing then this is probably the place to be.
W. T.
The drag bingo host is incredibly funny. Had myself and my friends laughing so much I lost focus on the first game.
N. C.
Came to the mailbox with a few friends last Friday and it was such a nice day. From the welcoming staff to the great atmosphere, It was by far the best place to be! ☺️
D. M.
Good portion of food, helpful staff and nice ale
J. P.
Great service, always smiling, 👏 great drinks, good entertainment
R. P.
Very busy at weekends great outside area
But food is left to be desired .
D. H.
Not a bad place but the floor is constantly sticky, the drinks are expensive and most nights you're waiting forever to get served.
T. G. G.
Amazing food, lovely staff!
Z. O.
Really really good service, served by Beth and and James, made the experience very enjoyable!!
E. L.
Good in the summer for the beer garden, pool tables aren't full sized and cramped, toilets are like trying to get to the loo in spoons. Food is basic, good for sports.
M. R.
Amazing, Celine is amazing we love you, such a queen
Much love roman xxxx
J. S.
Would highly recommend drag bingo! Such an entertaining and fun night! :)
S. R.
Decent location. Good atmosphere, fun crowd. Toilets were quite clear. Plenty of seating area outside in the garden. My dissapointment is in the bar queues. I kid you not, I must have waited 20 mins to get a drink. There is a tiny weeny bar outside however they done serve red wine from there ...why?!?!
FYI customers are generally quite young - around the 20 mark on average. That's not a big deal for me but could be for some ...
A. A.
Great pub with good food and a fantastic suntrap beer garden
G. G.
Ist visit drinks expensive at 5.00 pint nice ouside area fpr people watching
A. C.
Well run establishment, swift table service nice cold Estrella on tap and plenty of outdoor covered seating as well as ample room inside. I had the Mac and cheese and angry fries, they were delicious and well priced. Great central location too!
C. E.
Great experience , really friendly staff
C. G.
Ordering online was a bit of stress but the staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. The outdoor area is a nice feature and a lovely day. Food is tasty too, drinks were well presented, nice and cold, will definitely be back again soon
C. S.
Great food and drink, as well as great atmosphere.
M. j.
Can get a bit crowded but it's a fun atmosphere
P. P.
I have always been a fan of this pub, however recently i have not been visiting as much on a Friday lunch break as the lager is £5 a pint. I nearly collapsed in horror yet it tasted like the sweet sweet amber goodness I know and love.
N. A.
A great bar with an amazing quiz, this week Nebraska’s Nasty Nailbeds are failing spectacularly but it’s okay because Ron is a legend
C. W.
The service was amazing!! Especially thank you to Dan Sneller! He was so nice and friendly and soooo helpful. 10/10 service!
B. D.
had the best experience at The Mailbox all thanks to Connor and molly. they were both so attentive and very quick with his service. they were extremely kind to our group and always got our drinks to us on time! would definitely recommend this pub to anyone, amazing atmosphere and great service !
S. W.
Went for lunch for the first time around 12 and there were workmen next to us drilling was unbearable never go in there again
Z. B.
Ruby was amazing! Bringing the best vibes 🥰❤
K. J.
Good vibe, nice cocktails. Gets busy
M. H.
Good selection of cocktails and craft ales. Large outdoor seating area is great in the summer. Decent points card scheme. Good selection of food including lots of veggie and vegan options. Can get quite busy at the weekends or when major sporting events are on, but easy to get served at other times.
Can't award five stars as the prices are a little on the high side, but if you want cheaper drinks and don't mind somewhere a little more rough around the edges, you can always go across the road.
S. M.
Great music. Lots of fun, open to everyone
C. C.
Really good atmosphere. Plenty of staff and all happy to help. Food was good. Drinks a plenty. Put the F1 GP on just for us too. Nice touch. Highly recommend a visit.
L.
Good place for drinks, great social atmosphere too! With a wide variety of drinks and cocktails definitely one of the better places to drink. However, staff are a bit uptight, not friendly but not rude. Very professional but not talkative or welcoming. The food is good, nothing too outstanding but all tastes great! With a growing competition in the market in Lincoln it doesn’t standout as a *must go* in Lincoln. Personally not my first choice to visit but not the last.
F. P.
I love the place, the music is great, the staff are lovely, however I ordered wings and got mayo with them which I didn't ask for
M. W.
Large group of us went here to watch the NFL Thanksgiving games. Excellent service with friendly & accommodating staff. Moved tables around for us to get better view of the big screen. Food was really good too. Highly recommended venue for a quick drink or something more.
M. P.
Lovely atmosphere all times of the day with board and console games available to play. I fully utilise the phone chargers that are free to use, which I think is a great idea! I also come here regularly to play pool on one of the two tables. I've been here for lunch, dinner and for drinks, fantastic quality on every visit. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Only ever had one bad experience with a bar manager but I do appreciate it was a busy and stressful time of the day. Theres a very comfortable beer garden as well, but would be better if all the heat lamps would work. Overall very pleasurable.
T. C.
Found this place expensive compared to other bars in the town.
C. L.
Great pub.Has pool tables
S. S.
Lovely place to drink and watch football. Connor (guy with the iPad) was very lovely and was always accommodating to our requests! Would recommend drinking in the beer garden!!!
M. R.
Nice pub. Good food. Beer prices are a bit steep for Lincoln - £4.90 a pint! Good drinks choices though. Don't seem to get served very quickly. Nice feature is the use of phone chargers if you need one.
J. b.
Great night at drag bingo! Will be back :)
H. B.
Dan and Tash were brilliant. Kept refilling drinks and were great
T. L.
Came here on the first Saturday since restrictions were lifted for bottomless brunch. I'd definitely recommend it, they weren't stingy with the drinks and were very attentive. I'll definitely be returning as I think those chicken wings need seeing to..
R. S.
First time we had been. The menu for veggies was interesting and the mountain veggie burger was lovely. Tried the moving mountains veggie hot dog which like the burger was also good. The pulled Jack fruit kebab wasn't as good. While it tasted nice, the filling was sparse. Hardly any Jack fruit to be seen and very little salad. While what we had was tasty, this was the weakest of the options chosen so far Would recommend the menu so far and the staff are friendly and helpful.
C. C.
Love this place. Fantastic decor, beautiful outside space, awesome management team and friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend especially if you're a fan of Estrella Damm on tap 😉
M. A.
pleasant atmosphere, positive energy. I can back,🥰
D. S.
Always great food and drink, very friendly staff! Plus now if cannot to physically visit you can get it delivered 👍❤️👍
J. S.
Brilliant service from Calum, very helpful and the atmosphere was very welcoming and sound 👌
G. M.
Great place to visit. Caters for all age groups despite it's decor. Menu is great and good value. A big plus for me is that they allow dogs in as long as you go onto the outside seating area after ordering. Staff are polite and smiley😀 this is a rare commodity in some similar establishments.
J. C.
Always busy. Great place to watch the football at, also has a variety of board games and retro games console for people to use. Nice design and friendly staff. Food isnt anything spectacular but you get fairly good value for your money. More of a good place to go with a small group to have fun and get a small bite to eat.
W. G.
The Mailbox is a sports bar so my expectations were not so high. However, the food was good and there was plenty of choice given that we all wanted a vegetarian choice. The staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere generally was quite welcoming.
C. B.
Team very friendly and welcoming.
D. C.
Great spot for craft beer and a bit of food while watching the match. Beer garden at the back is a belta too!
T. C.
Great atmosphere almost every night of the week accommodating and attentive bar staff who do a good job of keeping your drinks topped up. Great "deal" nights including food to keep customers coming back. Quality selection of bar games including pool and board games and a very relaxing beer garden usable no matter what the weather.
D. T.
Great atmosphere and service. We're told that there would be some wait on our food due to the impromptu summer weather we had and the shear business of the place... food arrived 15 minutes later and it was fantastic. I had the Ham Hock toastie - amazing amount of ham and cheese, bread was great and a decent portion of fries. Drinks are all priced to the area... not as expensive as the top of Steap Hill but not as cheap as the local Spoons.
Charging points and cables are available to all customers and plenty of seating!
M. D.
Lovely atmosphere. Lots of stuff to do in the way of pool tables, board games and video games. There wing Wednesday is ace and you can get a bottomless filter coffee for a quid, other than that it can be quite pricey, but you are paying for quality of venue and service.
B. H.
Really decent meals with some great offers available! Have been given a loyalty card which is very much worth it, 10% of each purchase goes towards a points total, which can be used once there is more than £2 on your card. Food is decent for the price and the staff are friendly.
J. A.
Had a lovely time and the best service from a gentleman called Dan <3
G. C.
Really good fried breakfast. Piping hot and very very tasty. Might have to go back and try again
A. B.
Great atmosphere, fab food, will be back!!
C. S.
Love, love, LOVE the mailbox. Good and drinks are good, gaming consoles set up down stairs, plenty of play space if you happen to play board or card games and most importantly great staff.
I'd go there more often if it weren't so busy at times.
C. D.
Nice atmosphere, fair drink selection and a couple pool tables bring you in. The sun trap beer garden keep you there.
t. m.
Great place, Charlie always takes care of our bottomless brunches ☺️ She’s a delight
r.
Maddy really looked after us tonight. The rest of the staff are sound too. Good priced drinks and food. Lovely day for it.
6.
Great place for cheap food and cocktails. Seating area is huge and set over 3 floors, with a large outdoor area at the back too. Food is tasty, well priced, and you get decent servings. Always a couple of decent cask ales on, and the cocktails are always on 2 4 1.
Good staff too. We always end up in here every visit to Lincoln (every couple of months), even if it's just for lunch.
Recommended!
D.
We came here during Lincoln's 1940's weekend with the aim of a great British tradition: day drinking. This was stop number 3 on our trip and we stayed here longer than we intended. The pints were huge and we'll priced, the atmosphere was great, the chilli cheese fries were to die for! They had the match playing and we were happy as pigs in muck. Only problem we had was once it started getting really busy, our side of the bar got ignored in favour for the other side and we were waiting 15 minutes until another customer asked if anyone was actually working that side. They then promptly came over. Besides that great trip and will definitely return!
C. B.
We came here all the time pre covid, the refurb whilst the place was closed has really added a new vibe. Excited to make this a regular stopping place again. Thank you to all your team for brilliant custom, hard work and kindness 💖
L.
Like it here. Very friendly, helpful staff everytime I visit. Prices are reasonable. Food is nice, but my only grumble would be there was no butter on our bagels (which is pretty insignificant really). There are even board and video games dotted around the place to keep you entertained! The furniture is not as cosy & comfy as it used to be tho. Seems they've opted for the easy to wipedown type of thing, presumably due to the lively night time punters, lol.
R. T.
Great pub in town. Good beer and good food. Friendly staff. TV's outside too in a large beer garden.
M. B.
Great bottomless brunch!
C. B.
Good service, good beer, great beer garden and a great loyalty points scheme..👍🍻. Edit 30/6: Still great service.
J. H.
Amazing selection of beverages, including some delightfully niche Gins. Wonderfully retro gaming consoles on offer to play. And the atmosphere was chilled enough that you could have a leisurely chat with your mates, without the awkwardness of not being able to hear each other.
T. T.
Lively, friendly venue with great decor tasty food and accomodating of children. Loyalty card options, events, boardgames, retro games consoles and phone charges with multiple charge points around venue. Lovely outside garden for summer. Even has blankets and bean bags!
T. H.
Was a lovely place to meet up with friends spacious, friendly staff. Can't comment on the food as we didn't have any.
H. B.
Music was a little loud but food and drink were great!
J. R.
Myself and my cousin wanted a coffee while in town and so decided to visit Mailbox. It was very nice and only 99p for a extra large coffee the cup was huge and was told it was bottomless coffee so could refill if wanted to but one was quite enough the size of it. What good value.
M. M.
Good range of Craft and Real ale, along with typical Macro Beers. Good size beer garden, with plenty of seating including Standing tables, bean bag cushions. Very much a student bar, giving plenty of discounts and a loyalty cards
E. A.
Nice pub warm and comfortable. Apart from the toilets being up three flights of stairs
G. D.
Always a nice pint on, lovely atmosphere inside with friendly staff. The beer garden is the perfect place in the summer to chill, it also has heaters (for the smokers in the winter)!
r. m. g.
Great spot for lunch and drinks. ..beer garden with full sports on ...plus large projector in main bar ...great food
T. D.
Such an amazing spot! Perfect food, drinks and service. Outside is so cozy. Highly recommend the chicken melt burger, homemade sauces and a dark fruits slush. Can’t wait to come back
L. M.
Alway good service, Met Molly today on her first day today she was brilliant did such a good job
and Tom who managed to arrange us a sneaky slice of cake (even tho i was naught and had my feet up on the furniture)
exceptional staff here
R. L.
Nice place great staff and a all round great place to have a drink, watch some sport, play some pool and have a bite to eat. My only criticism is that the clearance from the pool tables to the wall on one side isn't great making for some awkward shots. Overall great place that I highly recommend.
K. S.
Great open plan pub, with a long bar (so easy, quick service), central location in lincoln. Perfect if you want to watch sports or a quick bite to eat. Outside area in the front and back with lovely decking and seating.
M. Z.
Amazing, great fun, such a laugh

Went last night for drinks and the Monday quix and then again this morning with my girlfriend for breakfast . Amazing , a new favorite place to go to .
K. K.
As always a great place for a snack and a good pint with friends
M. H.
We are a couple in our 80s and we are made to feel very welcome every time we go in looked after . You have some very special staff and good manager . Well done to you all
C. Z.
Alright lunchtime grub, had a platter to share with plenty there and of decent quality. Good selection of ales and very helpful barman when it came to asking about them. Will go there again sometime in the future which speaks for itself
H. R.
Great place to watch football and other sports events. Also a great beer garden and lovely food.
D. M.
Superb pub, great theme, great food - ordered a burger and the quality of the burger itself was fantastic but the sauces and dips were on another level. Boasting a cool vibe with pool tables, multi level seating and well placed TV's to watch football on this place was a great find, stumbled into it by accident and was not disappointed, clean and the bar staff were friendly too
V. P.
Good, however music is way too loud if you want to have a conversation.
H. F.
I've visited Lincoln twice now and visited this place three times. I absolutely love it here! On top of recommending The Mailbox generally I also highly recommend their pub quiz of a Sunday evening -this alone earnt them the fifth star! I took part in both the Rick & Morty and the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia quizzes and they were so much fun!
J. T.
Really good food. Good selection of drinks in the bar, and friendly staff. I can imagine it's a little too busy during sporting events, but I went for lunch and enjoyed it.
A. R.
Very good friendly bar staff who were extremely helpful when ordering food. Tasty curry & burgers at reasonable prices. Wait time for food was really good, about 10 minutes.
J. B.
Great choice of pub grub..and tasty too. Great service
M. B.
Brilliant bar with great atmosphere, very friendly staff
A. B. (. H.
The food and drink here is good. It's a nice place. Not really the sort of atmosphere I am usually looking for though so I don't go here much
D. S.
Excellent service in the recent euros games, such hard working staff and Connor looked after us really well thanks Mailbox for some great nights!
M. H.
Liked the new outside features of covered booths and looking forward to trying the bbq hut
K. N.
Good venue, good prices and friendly staff
j. m.
Very busy place on a Tuesday that surprised me because most of the other bars were empty. Lively atmosphere with music, the staff were very good and friendly and I would come again. Drinks were varied and again surprised at their price much lower than others around them.
C. A.
Lovely atmosphere, an amazing bar for students. They have several different games consoles (A gamecube and a SNES if I remember correctly), blankets to borrow when going outside, phone chargers to borrow in little bags and several television screens. Unfortunately it is difficult to find where the phone charging stations are, as they are located on the sides of specific tables. Outdoors, they have a lovely beer garden that you can sit, drink in and smoke, as well as heaters to warm up as the evening winds down. Overall would highly recommend to everyone -- and if you do go, I'd recommend the Peanut Butter Kit Kat Frappes...!
T.
Decent place typical chain style menu. All staff very good The place itself is very clean and well presented. The food we had was a sharer tray and great value and tasty.
I. H.
A loud bar which is similar to Wetherspoons. Loud and busy in the evening and at weekends. A students dream with sports on tv's, classic Nintendo games consoles and mobile phone chargers. Toilets are a bit of a climb upstairs to reach. Food is basic pub grub. A mixture of high tables, low benches and family tables and chairs. A good place to start on a pub crawl but never a favourite.
D. S.
Great pub.loved the range of beers and board games
E. T.
There is a limited amount of drinks I liked and the bar tender seemed to ignore my boyfriend for 20 minutes to serve women. However in the past they sell amazing food.
R. P.
Well staffed so there isn't usually too much of a wait, even when it's very busy. Pleasant place with a variety of things to do, ranging from quizzes to pool, and a nice outdoor seating area.
J. C.
Fantastic experience, came in for food and had the privilege of the staff putting the st ledger race on the TV for us on request. Great service.
G. F.
Was a good night, Charley and Dan were attentive and helpful - music was great as well
t. g.
I like it here great bar and the foods good too, Just don't expect to watch football in their garden if it's a bright day, Don't see the point having a tv outside that you can't see because it was sunny,
R. v. d. H.
Music was a bit loud inside, making it hard to talk if you are close to a speaker. Toilets were pretty dirty. Food was good and had a nice layout
c. m.
Took a while to get drinks through the app
R. R.
I was probably 20 years older than the other inhabitants when I popped in here over the bank holiday weekend, wasn't a problem and me and my fellow oldies weren't thankfully ejected from the building. 👍
S. M.
Good food, good choice of drinks outside area, sky sports
H. W.
Nice place dident stay long as dident stock bacardi which I drink shame worth a visit
K. W.
Constantly changing the menu so you're always trying something new. I'm not vegan but their pulled jackfruit is fantastic and tastes just like the real deal.
L. S.
Dropped in for a couple of late night drinks after going to watch a band. Nice place.
A. B.
Board games and a ps2 available, pool table and sports. Good beer and spirit selection, not sure about the wine. Not eaten but decent food selection available, portions look reasonable from what I've seen. Would reccomend.
H. W.
Food was ok, nothing special to make me want to go rush back, Tables could of done with a wipe, Staff were pleasant and helpful, think it was just busy and we needed to grab something to eat
N. F.
Nice, fun place! Went to the quiz, nice and light hearted and plenty of seats. Drinks are affordable and the food is actually very cheap
A. P.
Great deals (£6 cocktail pitchers on tuesday evenings, 25p per chicken wing on wednesdays), great food, and a wide selection of drinks.
Also it is the only lively place in Lincoln most nights.
R. D.
Nice place, accommodating with disabled person inside (so we found).. nicely priced meals at lunch, typical bar meals tbh,but tasty all the same..
A. T.
Nice pub, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, felt safe there with regards following covid guidelines.
M. H.
Nice pub come restaurant, good food at a reasonable price.
Would normally associate as a student bar but compared to most, felt welcome and valued guest.
D. L.
Good beer, nice food, friendly staff.
J. S.
Connor was outstanding at service.
E. T.
Dear whomever this may concern,
I recently embarked upon your accommodating founding. My first impression was overly delightful, I must admit a sigh may have escaped my oral receptor as I witnessed your divine cocktail menu! So as I browsed I could not steer my vision away from the sumptuous Tuesday offers... three of your English Pounds in exchange for a cup of euphoria! After an epiphany I received whilst trialling your Pornstar "Martinny" I decided to gander through what seemed to be heavens portal so I could stand witness to your glorifying 'beer garden' despite the arctic conditions... it must have been a sign from St George himself upon his sacred day. One cannot describe the pleasures one experienced following such an event... I felt like I was walking on clouds my entire journey back to my residential building....
Would not recommend unless you are willing to spend all of the night in a euphoric coma.... 2 stars.
Kind Regards
Linda from Bootle, Merseyside, UK, L203EX.
b. h.
Lovely lovely place for meeting your kids and their friends agree some drinks are cheap but others are creeping up to cover the offers.but hey ho that's what it costs to have a good time these days!
L. W. (.
Took my daughter for lunch and it was ok but dirty fries hardly had any topping and my daughter wasn't given her vegetables. Not the nicest place to take kids but they can go.
M. B.
Very good music, good drinks just slightly above my budget
S. P.
What an experience! I recently ventured into the Mailbox on what was one of the windiest and wettest Wednesdays of my existence. After a long day out in the cold I could think of nothing better than tucking into some nice hot grub, so what a pleasant surprise it was for me to discover that the Mailbox had its own special deal named 'wing Wednesdays'. For the measly price of 25p per wing I jumped at the chance.
Attempting to balance my student financing and my ravenous appetite, I settled for a small but fulfilling total of 8 wings, with a filter coffee that came with bottomless refills. This small yet enjoyable meal barely dug at my wallet, only deducting me of £3.00 for the pleasure.
A short wait later, giving me plenty of time to fill up four ramikens of different , beautifully designed sauces which I will order from worst to best (Katsu, Buffalo, BBQ and Ghost Chilli), my wings came flying to the table. They contained a generous serving of meat tucked snuggly against the bone, which I couldn't wait to wrap my teeth around. The meat separated from the bone with a satisfying crunch, warming my cockles from my previous few hours out in the rain. I used one wing for each of the sauces, just to find which one was the best. The katsu tasted like any regular curried sauce, therefore not innovating enough to earn itself a higher ranking on my taste test (4/10 at best). The buffalo sauce had a nice kick later to the bite, however one of my part noted a toffee note to the flavour, which after discovering I failed to notice anything other, ruining the spice that I originally tasted (pushing this one to a 5/10). Now this is where the sauces get interesting... I don't describe myself as a BBQ boy, however the BBQ sauce was a pleasure to digest. Maybe this is because I did not have high hopes for the flavour, however the texture of the sauce was lovely and thick, sticking to the wing like sticky weeds to my friends t-shirts back in my youth ( a pleasure of a throwback). The glaze was rich and smokey, and a much preferred BBQ to other sauces of the same flavour (8/10). The ghost chilli sauce was nothing short of delightful. An impeccable fruity taste to start, just kissing the tongue with both fire and passion. My only knock was that it could have been hotter as I am a man of heat, however it was just enough to keep me stimulated throughout the course of the wing (9/10).
The staff were as warm welcoming as the hot chicken flesh that was slowly working its way into my body. When me and my group were admiring the vast gin selection across the bar, we exchanged friendly banter with one of the barmen about whether or not it was too early to start drinking. This left me feeling comfortable and willing to share discourse with the staff at any given moment. A waitress who came to take our table number from us was also extremely friendly, acknowledging us as troops which I found very fitting as we soldiered our way through the array of wings and sauces.
For £2.00 for the wing selection, and multiple coffees for an extra £1.00 piece, my visit to Mailbox was fantastic and left me looking into my diary for when I can return. My only issue with the day was I wish there were more sauces to try. Experiencing new flavours is a huge hobby of mine, and an inviting location such as the Mailbox seems like the perfect place to do just that.
Many thanks to the staff and keep up the hard work!
L. P.
This is one of our go to pubs when we visit Lincoln, the staff couldn't be friendlier, the pub and beer garden are brilliant, the atmosphere is great, they sell Brew Dog beers which is always good, they have a great menu including many vegan dishes and they provide chargers 😁
E. B.
Food is usually really good and they've always got great vegan options. Staff are really friendly and it's got a nice atmosphere.
a. v.
such a transformation, not just the décor but the vibe of the place ... exceptional service, great selection of food and drink, love it ... 🤎🧡💜💙💚
S. O.
Just went in for breakfast. I'd describe the place as "solid", food and service was perfectly fine although the tables still felt a bit sticky from the night before.
G. S.
Decent chain pub - can get very noisy indoors and beers are pretty expensive by Lincoln standards but they have a decent loyalty scheme, regular offers, and most importantly a large beer garden with heaters, which is what everywhere else in Lincoln seems to be missing.
A.
Beautiful food, very nice atmosphere and great staff, I would definitely recommend visits here, either for 2 people or large groups you'll all be seated.
K. S.
Food was ok, a good deal on a couple of beers when we visited. A polite staff.
E. C. O.
James is fantastic. He made our night he was brilliant. Really friendly xxx
C. B.
Nice place lovely staff very modern suroundings app services is ok once u sign up to it. But easy after that.
E. T.
Great bar! Good drinks, good atmosphere.
J. A.
For a younger generation than I. 😉. Large sports TV screens and DJ. Standard draft beer options and cocktails
T.
Good beer selection, even more Gin options, cider and all your daily needs in one place, you can borrow board games to mess around with Mates, free phone chargers and Ps2 for all those classic games!
M. E.
New renovation and layouts very nice but drinks prices are on the pricey side
A. S.
Nice enough place, plenty of seating. Quiet when I went in, but it was a Monday. Will go again. I love the beer garden.
W. H.
good mix of young and old, good choice of beers, clean and welcomeing
L. T.
Great service, friendly staff, good value. This is a great place for a beer and some food in Lincoln.
K. M.
Very friendly staff. Good range of drinks.
A. T.
Vegan jack fruit burger was disappointing. Not a jack fruit burger, more a bean burger with a bit of jack fruit on top, and the amount of grease it was swimming in bordered on the obscene. The raspberry craft ale was, in stark contrast amazing.
P. R.
Nice pub, plenty of beer options.
D. B.
A great place to visit, all the staff, are very helpful and polite, nothing to much trouble. Lots of TV'S all over, pool tables, and box games, well worth a visit.
A.
Great selection of drinks, especially ale, the Food is tasty and it has a great atmosphere and lovely beer garden. Love this place!
S. H.
Great bar
U.
Wing Wednesday is a hell of a thing. With the plethora of sauces available and wings for 25p each it is a good time to come. Though students, bear in mind the drinks are Mailbox prices so not a place to spend the night though the atmosphere is there
S. T.
Good bar, friendly staff and lovely outdoor terrace with outdoor tv's showing the sport, they even have a blanket box for when the evening's turn cool.
A. H.
Wouldn't normally be my first choice but the set up made you feel safe. Mind you it was a Wednesday so it might be different on a busy weekend...
K. M.
Great place to go for food and drinks. Always visit here with family and friends. During the day you can often play on a games console or a board games too!
V. H.
Enjoyed the food, but drinks always seem really expensive here. When a simple round of drinks is more than the food for the table I think something's not right..
J. B.
Great place for all people. Really nice touches like mobile phone chargers and board games. Food pretty decent too.
H. S.
Nice relaxed place during the week early evening and nice at weekends during the day. Not too keen on a weekend evenings as it's too busy for me, but im not reviewing it for that.
P. L.
A lovely venue with bar games and board games! Great beer garden, phone chargers and a constantly changing variety of cheap guest ales.
R. E.
Nice atmosphere, love the array of games. Food was fine, great for a work lunch on a friday.
S. S.
awsome place for food and drink, they open early and serve a great breakfast menu and they have a great food menu all round for when breakfast has stopped been served at 12 midday, there is a very large selection of drinks from a great costa coffee menu, fruite juices, alco pops, spirits, wines, beers, lager, real ale's " or just a glass of water if ya fancy 1, there is plenty of seating inside too to choose from, they also have sky sports for all the football that is on t.v. they do show other sports like rugby and many more, all in all its its got a great atmosphere no matter if its a friday night or early monday morning, the staff are very friendly it is well worth a visit i would reccomend to any1 looking for good food or a nice drink at any time ,
M.
Nice pub, drinks are expensive but good atmosphere. Floors and tables always sticky though. Pub quiz was good fun.
J. L.
Really nice bar, the drinks are a reasonable price, plus it boasts two pool tables, a selection of board games and a Nintendo 64!
S. O.
Nice pub, good beer garden. Immensely popular though so if you find a seat, don't leave!
L. C.
Good, okay, but just about bland. Food menu is boring, nothing special. If 14 year olds could drink, it would be perfect!
L. I. S.
It was okay here, but I wouldn't recommend the Waffle stack... Golden Syrup, chocolate syrup and Nutella... Plus sugar coated waffles 😷 Not a good combo!
S. C.
Really good place. Just the toilets let it down a bit (Ladies) hence 4 out of 5 stars...otherwise great place :-)
s. a.
The food is excellent value for money. Tasty,no frills just plenty of it. Better than Wetherspoon fayre from the pub opposite
C. H.
Nice bar, lovely staff, slightly expensive drinks but worth it for the atmosphere
O. G.
Good bar with a good enough vibe, a bit expensive.
S. F.

G. S.
Too expensive.
Single G&T and 1/2 lager
Nearly £10.
R. M.
Better menus than your average pub grub. Good atmosphere and they have Mario cart in the corner!
H. B.

M. J.
Staff are all lovely and very welcoming. Food choice is great and all of what I've had has been delicious
K. F.
Get some new pool cues and chalk otherwise a nice pub with good outdoor area. A nice central location wouldn't know next to road when in here.
T. S.
Its a good stop for a beer or to watch a game. Nice patio space. Young, university crowd keeps it lively.
J. S.
Nice pub relaxing and roomy. Burger was nice but a bit overpriced I thought.
K.
Good food and drinks, pool tables and games consoles too.
