Reviews of The Marrowbone & Cleaver

After a Thursday afternoon walk with the dogs around the splendid Twigmoor Woods, the search for a place to eat began. It's been a few years since I tried the hospitality of The Marrowbone and Cleaver, so pleased it was open and serving food at 3pm.
Clean and friendly with plenty of alternative seating choices the menu has a superb variety and caters for various dietary requirements.
My salmon and homemade chunky chips was spot on, the creamy sauce velvety smooth.
Of particular note was the staff bringing a little jug of white wine vinegar as I can't use malt. Thanks, hope to come again soon. Josh

Met up with friends for meal and drinks, we used the upstairs room which allowed us to be a little rowdy without bothering other diners.
Staff were so attentive and polite, felt sorry for them a little as they had to keep coming upstairs.
The food was very good, we had starters main and dessert but I got carried away and forgot the starters picture.
Everyone said how nice their food was, personally I had the steak and ale pie it was rammed full of meat and so tasty.
Guy Martin the motor cycle racer used to own it but now I believe his sister does.
A delightful experience
The pictures and history relating back to the RAF were very interesting

Our first visit to the M&C, and definitely NOT the last. Fantastic inside and out. A very warm welcome from all staff members. Great food. Reasonable prices. Great beer selection. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be going back for more. Highly recommended to everyone.

Really friendly staff and attentive, generous portion sizes of meals that my wife and I ordered (lamb roast and homemade fish pie) veg could have been better (over cooked or pre cooked and left?). That said, it was good value for money and I would go back. Didn't see much of Guys memorabilia there but the murals are worth a look inside and outside.

Very nice pub excellent food. Large portions. Bit more money than a weatherspoons or Toby. But this is freshly cooked not just warmed up.
