Went to Walkabout Lincoln for some lunch today in between some Christmas shopping and it was so good! The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. It was quite busy with it being a Christmas market weekend but the food came out so quickly, piping hot and there was nothing to fault. Brilliant pub and environment and will definitely visit again. Special shout out to the two waitresses who served us; Charlotte and Tamsin. Both very friendly and brilliant service.

We had a shared platter and it was just perfect. Hadn't had waffle fries b4, very morish. Salad had just enough dressing on it, the onion in it was beautifully cut. The chicken wings were addictive, we'd definitely go again

I had a male behave inappropriately to me and the staff sorted the issue within 30 seconds. I am so thankful to the staff, they were so helpful and kicked the person out so so quickly. Thank you to the blonde on the bar on 28th August who sorted the issue and made sure I was okay: she even declined a tip I wanted to give as gratitude. Thank you to the staff at Walkabout, you were brilliant.

Friendly staff. Delicious food, well presented. Very generous portions and value for money, I could barely finish! Good sports bar to have a pint, some grub and watch a match. Only small problem I had was the toilets were upstairs and quite a long walk away but not a massive issue. Really enjoyed my time here

I went here with my friend, and we had the vegan cauliflower we really enjoyed it. There was a mix of seating options, high and low and varied lighting too (which can be handy 😉) The staff were nice and there was a variety of drinks. TGI Fridays next door but one was packed out and Walkabout was quiet. So I would recommend it if you are in the city centre and need a drink or a meal. There is a fairly healthy option available too.. Yeah it's cool x

Came to watch the Rugby. Food was good, service a bit slow but you can't blame the pub for it being busy. The Rugby was switched on 10 mins late because they had a problem with the Sky Box- again not their fault. Would still recommend as a nice pub to have a few drinks at.

Enjoyable night out. We came and watched the football on sunday and stayed to do the quiz which was great fun. Loads of food and drink choice. Something for everyone at this place. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a clean and fresh place to go. Two floors, the first floor dinning and TVs. The upstairs with another bar has pool tables, ping pong and more. Really enjoyable place to spend a night out. I highly recommend it

Went for a game of pool which was short lived as the white ball didn't reappear when potted. £10 deposit for pool cues which is understandable but £2 for 20 minutes on the pool table baffled me. Otherwise an enjoyable experience and the staff were friendly.

Good music, good choice of drinks but a lot of broken glass on the floor, spilt drinks and somebody had been sick on the stairs and it was just covered with a chair rather than being cleaned up. Definitely an end of night place rather than somewhere you go sober!

Nipped in for lunch this afternoon. Two adults two kids (eating adult meals lol). Four burger meals with drinks and a few extras for about 35 quid..what more can you say. Went there for a staff party. Usually it's not my go to place, but for staff outings and big gatherings, that's your place. Pool, ping pong table where you can set up a beer pong game, PS2 for some gamers, and table football as well as a bar upstairs with a variety of spirits and excellent kitchen that provides a great variety of delicious food. If you have a party or looking for a big gathering that is your place.

We went to Walkabout after Home tried to charge us £3 to get in an hour before closing time. The man on the door was lovely, got us seated straight away and always seemed to be running about happily helping customers. Drinks prices were reasonable (shots & mixers £1.10 - bargain!) and great atmosphere. Definitely recommended in these dire times.

I had the Kangaroo steak. The clincher for me was the advertisement on the menu "you don't know what you are missing out on". Honestly, it was a scabby piece of meat that tasted like a lousy rump steak, so in hindsight, I'd rather still not know what I was missing out on. The fries weren't amazing, standard chain pub frozen chips, which was a shame. Decent beer though, and they do a very satisfactory student discount at 20%. As for the restaurant itself, it was very nicely laid out and the staff were friendly enough, but the table was very sticky, as was the menu, and also the sauce bottles. I probably wouldn't go back anytime soon, just because I was terribly underwhelmed at what was a very promising looking restaurant.

I always look for the mocktails, as I don't drink. The berry one I had was gorgeous! I'd also ordered the doubled-up burger. I tell you now, it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. And I've eaten a lot of delicious burgers. Yes, it did take a while for the food to come out, but at least it was fresh.

There's one person who ruined the experience and should be removed from working at the establishment because they're giving it a bad reputation + you can tell he loves kick offs which is far beyond good. It's terrible. It all started before even getting in, the bouncers made the ASSUMPTION that just because we were a group of 5 young lads, we wanted to get drunk and cause trouble so immediately we got 'greeted' with "You're not coming in here lads we're full and it's bookings only" "Ok mate so I booked a table for 5 for 8pm"... How foolish and awkward it was watching them then go inside to check and come out to confirm it. Even on the door they gave up lip while waiting, questioning us etc like mate, come on now I just want a pint and a parmi... not a conversation with you over pointless jargon. As we were leaving at 10pm due to COVID Rules, we got given take away cups for our pitchers, so as we approached the door, this little man bouncer approached all of us with the wrong attitude. Instead of asking politely "Have you boys got lids for those drinks? Because the Police would confiscate them off you if you leave here" When he knew FULL WELL we needed Lids but we didn't have any... He decided to try act tough and big like a hard man. "If you boys think you're leaving here with them you can think again" What you gonna do man? Take them off us yourself? They're TAKEAWAY cups, the idea is to TAKE.... AWAY. Next thing the other bouncer approaches, taller one, black hair and politely reminds his colleague that we need Lids and went and grabbed us lids. That's how you should approach us. NOT the way the bouncer with little man syndrome did, coming across all aggressive. What if we decided to give him the same attitude back? There most likely would've been a fight when there was absolutely no need. Doesn't look good for Walkabout when the bouncers have to correct each other in front of customers. So it all makes sense now why Walkabout Lincoln is known for kick offs and fights. It's because you employ egotistical men who have something to prove as bouncers. Who thrive on aggression. GET RID OF HIM ASAP! Overall however, we would recommend walkabout IF they got rid of the aggressive, egotistical bouncer that was working on Friday 9th October 2020. It would be a better experience without him. We booked a booth for 6 on Friday 9th October with COVID rules in place. Our time there was great, drinks were good, 2 Pitchers for £12?! Bloody go on son! - Food was lovely, I converted two of my mates to the Hunters Parmis. Delish! Wouldve been a 5 star experience if the bouncer had a different attitude or wasnt there. If I see him on the door again I won't return.

Food is good for the price. Council workers get a great discount when work ID is provided. Drinks are reasonably priced. Good bar for live sports viewing (always shows darts, boxing, football, rugby, cricket etc). Multiple bug screens available upstairs and downstairs. Small dance floor and live dj of questionable quality. Some fab booths around the outside of the dancfloor. Some outside seating available. Upstairs has a pool table and football table available. Toilets are upstairs - they get pretty dirty by the evening between Friday and Sunday (as to be expected at a budget boozer).

At the end of the night watch your drinks, the the bar staff try to clear them away before you have finished them, when challenged all they say is "sorry we are just trying to get cleared up" I pointed out that any glass that has something in is a "live" drink until the doors close!! Lincoln is a great city to explore, I always enjoy my visits. With shops, lovely old buildings and facinating history, there's something for everyone. Steep Hill, the castle and cathedral are all well worth seeing and there are plenty of places for meals and drinks.
